Service was so bad that we left before the food came. We waited 50 minutes for two sushi rolls and left when the waitress said it was still going to be another 10 minutes or so. The restaurant wasn’t even crowded. I will never go there again.

Unassuming location, check. Outdated décor, check. Fresh and delicious sushi rolls, hand rolls, sashimi and more? Check, check and check. I’ve explored my fair share of sushi joints, and by far Shiki Hana takes the cake when it comes to all over freshness. Unlike many other ‘Americanized’ sushi restaurants in Fairfield county, Shiki doesn’t cover older, tasteless fish with mayo and sauces(and light the roll on fire with a sparkler… or whatever those other places do to fancy it up) — instead, you can order a la carte sashimi and sushi pieces that you know are going to be fresh. I won’t pretend that they don’t have cooked/fancy rolls, but the freshness of the fish and the care in preparing it makes all the difference.

Shiki Hana has become our go to sushi in the neighborhood. It is very consistent and the fact that they deliver is a huge plus. The Goldfish Roll and the Wasabi Shumai are too delicious for me to even try anything else– and I hate continuously ordering the same dishes.

Great ambiance, and the little Japanese-style dining area was a nice touch to the cute place. The sushi and sashimi were fresh and delicious. I also enjoyed the«sex roll.» The prices were affordable. I will come back to try more things on the menu.
Been going here for years. The sushi is always very fresh. Love there spicy tuna rolls!

I was excited to come here because of all the great reviews. The place itself is located in a shopping center and it’s small place. The service could use some improvement, it was not a welcoming experience. The server was very uninviting– almost made me feel borderline uncomfortable. The food was decent — had the shumai appetizer it was good but not great– The sashimi was good but there was a couple pieces that were served pretty much still frozen. So that got points off. I waited to eat those remaining pieces last so they could thaw out completely. All in all it was good at most — i was expecting a lot better.

Shiki Hana is a fantastic sushi restaurant. The Bento boxes(chicken and beef teriyaki) are very good and reasonably priced value. Sushi is fresh and creative.

If you are looking to be magically whisked away to the Tsukiji fish market at dawn I suggest a flight to Tokyo. If you are looking for a 3 sushi roll for $ 10 lunch I suggest Shiki Hana. I wish the pieces were slightly larger, but the rolls were fresh and appealing.

Customer service is usually not good, but today it was extremely bad. Besides the usual glares of contempt and careless service, today the waitress also treated me and my friend with disrespect. If there was a zero star method, that would apply here. We found a hair in our food. As if that wasn’t bad enough, when we showed it to the waitress she proceeded to argue with me, that it wasn’t hers since she has black her. This was not the issue in question. I am not interested in whose hair it is, I am interested in clean, non-haired food!!! She said it wasn’t a hair at all and that there is no problem and that she would not remake the food. Certainly a very effective method to ensure your customers will never return. I do not recommend this place.

Simple atmosphere, and I’m not a fan of the«Bistro» part in the name, but this is our regular spot for sushi/sashimi/sake. The staff is super attentive, friendly, and go out if their way to make things the way you want. Food presentation is always nicely done and always fresh. If you want consistent, non-trendy, solid cuisine, this is the place. Great sake choices and awesome desert, too!

We love this place. Sushi here is always fresh and never disappoints. We came upon this place after reading about it in a magazine, and it is seriously a hidden gem. Staff is attentive and polite, and always on top of things. Definitely try some Sake here– it is a serious must have. The«Sweetheart» roll, the«Lover’s» roll and the«Sex» roll(no, I’m not making these names up) are fantastic. The«Manhattan» roll is awesome too. Parking is great, never an issue, and the ambience is pretty relaxed too.

Our favorite place for take out sushi! My bf is a sucker for the seafood yaki soba and haru maki(spring rolls). I absolutely love the sushi — most especially all their specialty rolls. The one with spicy crab and spicy tuna(i think its a Hawaiian roll) is my favorite. To die for! Have had most of the menu and have never been disappointed!

If I could put no stars I would! I saw a mouse while eating ! It’s so gross service was horrible I’d rather eat at McDonald’s then ever go back there! I can’t believe how rude they were!

Shiki Hana serves some GOOD food! I’ve eaten in and have gotten takeout from this restaurant. I have no complaints. They offer all of the common traditional dishes and sushi. The restaurant is not very big in size but can accommodate to groups of 6? I’d recommend keeping the party size smaller. I recommend this restaurant.

Shiki Hana is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in the area. While I have never been inside, my present lack of a kitchen has required an increase in takeout and delivery. The food at Shiki Hana has been consistently delicious. The delivery comes at incredible speed, and the delivery person is the only one in the area who comes all the way up my stairs. I recommend them highly.

I wanted to see what fairfield has to offer in terms of Japanese cuisine and sadly, I was not very impressed. The sashimi and sushi here are not very fresh. The stir fried soba noodles were okay. Despite all of that, I will say service was excellent. I regret to admit this, but I won’t be returning… I’ll just stick to NYC for Japanese food.

This is my favorite spot for lunch in Fairfield. Their prices are unmatched and the quality of food and service is excellent. For just $ 8 I get a bento box with salmon, brown rice, 6 California rolls, shumai and a soup and a salad. All of it is always fresh and delicious and ready in ten minutes. You really get a lot for your money. The yaki soba and soba soup are also great. I can’t speak much for their sushi but I would expect it to be good. The interior is pretty humble and nothing special but for a simple lunch or dinner it’s great.
