Review for vegetarians(not suitable) and for omnivores(5⁄5). Vegetarians be warned: there is nothing vegetarian on the menu. However, they will make veggies only spring roll and veggies only Bun(which was surprisingly better than I expected!). I got the Bun, which was vermicelli, veggies, bean sprouts, peanuts, fried onion, green onion, cilantro. They only have fish sauce so I asked for peanut sauce instead. In the end, soy sauce was the best, but it was fun trying all the different sauces on the noodles. :) the vermicelli was pretty warm, which I loved. Overall, the food was pretty good for what they had, and they charged me less than I expected for the meal, so I’m quite satisfied. Omnivores: I came with my dad, and he said the phở was good! The soup was good, the meat was fresh. For the kind of place it is, 5⁄5! Service was nice(they at least tried to accommodate vegetarianism!) and the place was clean. Nothing bad to say here!

Best phở around Fairfield!!! Clean restaurant, clean bathroom, everything on the menu is delicious, and the staff is one of the best I’ve experienced in all of California. I’ve been here countless times and will continue to go back. Go here!

I think if Unilocalers were rating out of SIX stars the overall review rating would be accurate. Very underwhelming service, food, and setting. It’s the kind of place you go to just because you want phở but don’t have any level of expectations over mediocre.

Softest vermicelli noodles in phở. They sell imperial rolls individually. Neighborhood does not look too good, being a wizard nothing bugs me if the food is worth trying.

Alright so I’ve never had phở. Ever. This place had a ton of good reviews and after driving by and seeing this hole in the wall I figured with Unilocal reviews this good I may as well try it for the first time here. GLAD I DID. This is the locals spot you gotta know some one to hear about. We came in for take out. I admitted to being a phở-king virgin(haha, get it?) and the younger, clean cut waiter was SUPER cool. Advised of everything on the menu. And was cool when I had a couple extra questions. Seriously impressed by what I assume is a hands down, bad ass, Triple D worthy phở(pronounced«fu») spot. There are no pictures because we demolished the entire meal. Who ever recommended the #8 wasn’t lying… Damn! And we have lunch left over tomorrow for $ 22. #winning #phở-kingawesome

Visited yesterday for a quick lunch and I’m so glad we did. I got the #32 flank steak phở and my husband got a chicken and shrimp noodle bowl with two egg rolls. The food was very good, very fast and service was very friendly! Also the large soup is large!!! Definitely will be back!!!

Funny, my friend knows this town very well and said there isn’t any Vietnamese restaurant where we can eat. Oh boy big surprise I cannot wait to take her here! I wanted something healthy cheap fast and delicious and I found it here. So yummy I took the photo half way thru lol. Yay! My new hang out hehe

I really wanted to give this place a good review but my husbands dinner had a long black hair in it. I ordered beef and tripe phở which was good. I wish the phở had been a bit hotter it was just warm when I got it. We will try this place again.

Been once, got the #3 spicy bowl, not really spicy so don’t hesitate to order just because it states spicy. I had to add a bunch of chili sauce but that’s just me. The wife order the seafood bowl and no complaints there. Everything tasted great IMO. It was crowded and the staff had no problems with anything; good, fast, prompt service.

Best Vietnamese place in the area. I think their phở is pretty damn good and you guys should trust me on this because I’m actually Vietnamese. They have authentic smoothie options. Yay for Sinh To Mit! They’re solid for Phở and their Bun. Their Goi Cuon is sub-par so I wouldn’t get those and if you’re craving Cha Gio then their fine for that, but I don’t think their Cha Gio is quite as good as my mommy’s recipe. Then again if everybody made Cha Gio like my mother. then they wouldn’t make a profit at all. LOL Quote from my mother(think broken engrish) «I put a lot of meat in my Cha Gio because we’re not poor!» So yeah if you’re stuck in this godforsaken area, you should definitely stop by here for your Phở fix.

Just like the last time I was here, almost a year ago to date on a day very much like this one, cold, damp, and freezing my @ss off… ‘And just like last time, an almost exact repeat of my order. The huge difference this time, I was not sitting in the subzero zone. NOTE — Do not sit near the front doors unless you want to know what eating soup feels like in the arctic tundra. My guess, the«sweet spot,» is the table near the front register & the furthest from the doors. I told myself if the only seats available were near the front doors, I was going to be eating @ the neighboring Mexican restaurant. — «Orale!» Not to mention, it’s frick’n cold inside the restaurant as well.(I could’ve sworn I heard the a/c come on a couple times in the background.) You’ll find this often in theaters & comedy clubs… ‘And now, Vietnamese soup kitchens! Dress warm, after all, what better way to sell phở? — «Phở’ken genius!» Complimentary hot tea — The order: Bun bo hue — Hot, spicy beef & pork noodle soup($ 8.75) Ca phe sua nong — Hot milk coffee($ 2.50) Cha gio — Egg roll($ 1.39) Total: $ 14(+ tip) As I’m waiting, my miniature plate of basil, lettuce, bean sprouts, jalapéno slices, & the wedge of lime makes its way to the table but this time I was prepared for the«doll house size portions.»(I think the initial shock @ my last visit really threw me off. I believe my words were«What the f*k is this?») Photo — The solution, simple. — «Excuse me, may I please have more jalapénos & lime?»(3rd world country, rationing problem solved!) ‘More jalapénos — ‘More limes — ‘And as the ol’saying goes, «I tore it up!» The restaurant was only about half full, I somewhat expected it to be more crowded due to the chilly weather but it was only 3pm, not exactly the lunch or dinner crowd… ‘And it was perfect! There’s nothing like enjoying a nice meal when it’s packed, gut to butt with some flu infested stranger sitting elbow to elbow with you, hacking & coughing. Like I said, it was perfect. The bun bo hue had good portions, flavorful, and unlike Saigon Phở in Vacaville, DIDNOT give me the sh*ts four hours later. I don’t expect much from restaurants but food poisoning & the poops are never a good time. The soup had nice pieces meat, a nice rich red color, but I found the broth to be a bit on the oily side. Photo — The cha gio was very good as well & with an actual meat filling.(No fake, all cabbage roll that I seem to find more & more often @ most places.) This is one of the first places that I’ve seen charge per egg roll rather than the usual two piece order. Photo — The cold weather definitely called for an order of ca phe sua nong, Vietnamese hot milk coffee. I’m a sucker for tradition/rituals when it comes to eating, that includes beverages as well. I’m not a fan of the pre-made ice coffee that is quite common place @ most Vietnamese shops.(Hey, I can buy a can from 99 Ranch too!) if you’re going to do it, do it right! Old school, slow drip, right into the cup of condensed milk… ‘And that is exactly the way it’s done here. Proper(A big two thumbs up) Photo — The clientele was the usual mix of couples, old & young, small groups of friends, to-go orders, and a few Han Solo foodies like myself. Sometimes, you just want to enjoy a nice, quiet meal to take a moment & just completely immerse yourself into the experience… No need for small talk, half-hearted laughs @ lame jokes, or listening to someone complain about not having a Double-Double on the menu… It’s just you, your thoughts, and hopefully a wonderful meal, and it was.(Sigh) Did I mention it was perfect? The last time I was here, it was a luke warm 3 star experience. I blame getting seated near the front doors, the absurd small plate of veggies, along with the so-so bowl of bun bo hue. However, this time, redemption! The service was much more attentive this time as well. I give credit to the fact that the restaurant was not as crowded and the wait staff was more readily available. A hui hou!(Until next time!) — Big Aloha! Food: 4 Ambiance: 3+ Service: 4 Value: 4+

There are many phở places in the area. And although many of them are decent, this one is by far the best. My husband and I love coming to this place. Especially when it’s the winter time and we are in need of some hot soup! I also enjoy coming here when I’m in the mood for one of their sandwiches and being the fact that the sandwiches are all under $ 3 is such a steal!(You get the option of chicken, beef, and pork) I also like adding a fried egg to my sandwich as well! Everything else tastes good from the rice plates to the phở and they also have many flavors of boba drinks! I usually order the Thai tea with boba! One thing that truly sets them apart from the rest is their customer service. It’s safe to say I never had an unpleasant encounter here with any of the workers there. Everyone is always friendly and they are quick to come over to you no matter how busy it is. I also like to comment on their bathrooms which is ALWAYS super clean! Only negative thing about this place is the location, it’s on north Texas which is in the ghetto but I refuse to knock down a star for this place since I never had any unpleasant encounters outside of this restaurant.

I absolutely love this place! I would consider this the best phở place in the area and possibly in the east bay! My friends love to get the phở ga with shrimp and chicken. I’ve tried it before and found the broth to be very flavorful. However my favorite dish is the shrimp rice plate. The shrimp is bbq and comes with a sweet sauce that is just delicious! I’ve tried this dish at many over restaurants and I think this place has the best one hands down. They also have very good eggrolls with meat and a variety of freshly prepared smoothies. My fav one is the mango smooth with no boba.

Came here today with my best friend and our kids it was pretty crowded but we were sat immediately. I’m not too adventurous when it comes to my food so I got steak and brisket phở and it was amazing! My daughter got fried egg rolls and and the pork rice plate and loved it and she’s hella picky. Great food quick service. Yum.

I’ve been going here off and on for about 10 years and I can say that the food is consistently very good. The service is always cheerfully good and there’s always a lot of different items to choose from. It’s located in a seedy area that’s rife with quite a few homeless people and thug-types, but I’ve never had any problems. It’s located in a very big lot and there’s always a lot of available parking. I’ve had several different rice plates, all of which were delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly and the meat was seasoned just right. My favorite is the chicken and beef phở — I can say that there’s been absolutely no variation in taste or quality in the last decade. It’s always prepared to perfection. They also have sandwiches and quite a few other items. This is a very popular place with the locals.

This place is awesome… So it’s a cold day and phở just sounded good. I got there when they opened and walked in. The lady took my order.(She was neither friendly or un friendly) but it’s okay I was in and out… I sat and waited for about 10 mins maybe… I got my Thai tea and then my food… I headed home… As soon as I got home I poured it into a bowl and the broth immediately filled the room with this great aroma. … not sure how they prepare their broth but they have all the right flavors(not salty) … they give you enough topping and sauces to put on top. The phở I go today was the seafood one and it had enough meat for what I paid. About three pieces of each item. With the noodles and broth and meat this was prefect. Not overly stuffed(just satisfied) The Thai tea was good my only thing is that for a blended tea the bottom was warm not cold like the top. But once I get through the warm part then the rest of it was good… The place is clean and they are always packed… In town this is my place to go for phở :-)

Considering this place is located in Fairfield, and with that being said, you’re very limited to the Vietnamese/phở places in the surrounding area. To be honest, This place is considered 3.5÷4 stars for this area, but anywhere else it wouldn’t stand out much. The broth for the most part is very well made, flavorful, and prices are reasonable. Why not the 5 stars than? 20% inconsistency. 1 out of the 5 times that I’ve been here the broth was watered down and the broth tasted off/odd. For the other 4 times, the broth tasted great. For me, I like to eat my phở without drowning it in hoisin and sriracha(I am vietnamese. I make and consume phở on a regular basis) and quite honestly, that’s how you can tell if the broth is really good or not(being able to enjoy it without adding all the frills to it). 4 out of the 5 times, I was able to enjoy the phở without any of the frills, but just that 1 time, even with the hoisin and sriracha in it, I just couldn’t be saved and I left pretty unsatisfied. Overall, When I’m craving phở and I’m just that lazy to make it, this place will do it, unless I happen to catch them on that one off day then I’ll be leaving like a grump.

think I may have found my favorite place in town! Finally got to try this place after having it bookmarked for ages, I’m so glad I did. Ambiance: When I stopped by it was early afternoon on a Saturday, the place was not empty, but not super busy either. Large open-space and very clean, I appreciate how roomy this place is compared to other Viet places I’ve been to. Customer Service: The young man that served our table was nice, he made conversation and was friendly. I never expect much at asian restaurants, but he was great and friendlier than most servers at asian restaurants! Food: I ordered the Bun Ga Nuong(#9), which is essentially grilled chicken with vermicelli and veggies. This is my favorite Viet dish and I order it everywhere I go. I ordered a small and the portion was extremely generous. I should easily have had leftovers, but I couldn’t stop myself because it was extremely delicious. The meat was perfectly seasoned, grilled and the pieces were the perfect size. I was happy with the protein source as they gave me a ton of meat, but would have liked a bit more veggies. The protein-veggie ratio was a bit skewed for my liking, but at least it wasn’t the other way around. The egg roll was also delicious, nothing special, but also not mediocre. The nuoc mam was also great, I was worried it was going to be too salty or too sweet, but it was delicious that I ended up using all of it. The price was reasonable, typical of what you expect to pay for a bowl of bun at any Viet restaurant. Parking: Large lot in the plaza, easily accessible! Overall: I enjoyed my overall experience, especially my bowl of bun! I will definitely be coming back.
