The food is really good and so are the servers BUT the wait is ridiculous. They don’t accept reservations so it’s a sit and wait game. Also the girls upfront are grouchy. I guess I’d be too if I was dealing with a lot of upset hungry people.

Love the bread, love the peanuts, love the steaks, BEST steakhouse around by far. Make sure to get a reservation if you plan on going during the weekend(including Sunday).

It’s a decent place. The foods ok, environment is very noisy, every server I’ve encountered have been really great. The hostess Genesis needs an attitude adjustment. Also approaching the counter is chaotic. Kid friendly. My favorite part is the rolls. The rest of the food is meh. Chicken critters are soggy.

On the way back from Tahoe we spotted the big Texas Roadhouse sign off hwy 80. This was my husband’s favorite place in grad school and we had no idea it even existed in California(yes, we live in a bubble in SF). The only big chain restaurants I make exceptions for are usually The Cheesecake Factory or Yardhouse. Texas Roadhouse has HONEYCINNAMONBUTTER though and complimentary peanuts that you peel and throw the shells where ever you want! Okay. maybe not anywhere. but anywhere on the floor! You’ll want to anyways because the line is horrendous. We hoped to help the time pass by getting a drink from their in restaurant bar when two spots opened up and we realized we could order off the menu there. The bartender was super cool about everything. You could tell he liked his job and helping customers. I was famished after a long day of snowboarding. I had my eyes on the«Texas Size Combos». Extremely inexpensive prices for steak and bbq so i spoiled myself with a 10oz ribeye, grilled shrimp, caesar salad and yam with more HONEYCINNAMONBUTTER. I can’t emphasize how much i love that whipped butter. I slathered it all over their bread too. The bread reminds me of King’s Hawaiian bread. Ugh, delicious. Unfortunately my request for a ‘medium’ steak was more like medium-well or even more doneness. But, it was tasty and this isn’t Alexander’s Steakhouse. It’s just a good place for a large beer, big portions and affordable prices.

This place is okay. Not my favorite. The food is normal nothing spectacular. I gave them 3 stars because their bread is really good. I get full before the food comes out. I believe they give you cinnamon butter with the bread. The customer service is good… sometimes. I’ll return if I am starving and it’s somewhat late. My friend Yusuf loves the steaks here, maybe he’ll write a better review than I did.

Nothing stands out but nothing bad. I used to work for the company and know how fresh the food is. Service was good. Food has always been good.

I came here for Valentine’s Day and it was really packed. They also didn’t take reservations, but we called in ahead of time to be put on the waitlist. We waited for only half an hour though, and ate some of their peanuts while waiting. This isn’t really a fancy, romantic type of restaurant but it was a very enjoyable, satisfying dinner! We ordered the ribeye steak with a side of candied sweet potato and smothered chicken. The entrees are huge. –Steak: I usually don’t like steak much, but this steak was tender, juicy, and easy to chew. –Sweet potato: really soft and there were melting marshmallows on top, which was a nice touch but I wish it had been a bit less sweet. –Smothered chicken: the chicken breast had a bunch of gravy and mushrooms on top. It was on par with the steak dish and the chicken wasn’t dry at all. –Dinner rolls! They were amazing and they come with the meal. The servers will also keep refilling the rolls if you finish them. The cinnamon butter that comes with it is also delicious, with a light whipped texture. The cinnamon flavor is subtle but goes with the buttery, sweet rolls really well. The service was great and they refilled both our water and our dinner rolls promptly, despite being so busy.

Just had a late lunch at Texas roadhouse. The server(Dreana-im a little off but hopefully they’ll know who I’m talking about) had a trainee and both were doing a great job! The food was delicious, we had to wait but once we were in everything was top notch!

For weeks, I had been craving some of Texas Roadhouse’s delicious bread rolls and of course their phenomenal cinnamon butter. What better day to fulfill a craving than on Valentine’s Day with your better half. Seeing as it was not only Valentine’s Day, but it was also a three day weekend, my boyfriend and I anticipated a lengthy wait. We decided to chance the call ahead seating, with hopes of cutting down the wait time. Let me just tell you that was a GOLDENIDEA! We arrived 15 minutes before our call ahead time, and were told we’d be seated in 10 minutes. Which to us was a TOTAL deal, seeing as the restaurant was PACKED. After a short FIVE minute wait, we were surprisingly seated right away. Upon being seated we were promptly greeted by a young, bubbly, and extremely awesome server named Adriana. She was honestly one of the best servers I’ve ever had, at any establishment. She was very attentive and had such a warm spirit. Adriana truly made our dining experience exceptional! From start to finish, our visit was spectacular! We will be returning.

If you love steak and big portions there you’ve found your place! Came with my family on a Sunday and it was pretty busy. Was told a table for 6 would take 45 mins and we expecte it and didn’t mind waitng because we love the place. But to our surprise we were seated within 25 mins which was great because I was in the waiting hallway(long room) with 2 kids and it was super hot like the heater was on high heat. And if you don’t know there’s peanut shells all over the floor from everyone snacking on peanuts. Theyre giving you this barn experience. My 7 year old niece asked if there as a barn nearby. So they nailed it. The service is always on point and quick! I’ve never been there and been disappointed about the wait. It’s very family oriented so you have to expect big groups coming in and waiting to be seated will be most likely be some time but like i said it’s to be expected. I always get the prime rib and never disappointed.

Another place that you need to think about before heading over— if you go there during peak times, you have to expect to wait for a long time for a table! We used the call ahead feature and walked right in on a Saturday night. Texas Roadhouse seems to specialize in quantity over quality to me– we get endless baskets of bread while waiting for our meal, you can get a ginormous baked potato with your dinner— this place is like an updated version of Black Angus! We got the standard fare for this place, BBQ, and catfish and left with plenty of leftovers. A good place to go if you want to eat plenty of food— not sure that I would rush back here. #4

UPDATE: I had to add back another star because our server Sierra WASAWESOME! I’m still a little upset that they didn’t seat our party together until we spoke to the manager, however Sierra was so friendly and sweet she made this experience better. As much as I love the food here, I wish I could say the same for service… Originally I gave this place 4 stars but I’m now downgrading it to 2 stars. I called ahead requesting a table for 7. I was told that wasn’t possible and that we would be split into 2 tables AND it was not guaranteed that our tables will be together… There was a chance we could be seated on opposite sides of the restaurant. Really??? Even when I called ahead because I’ve eaten here before on a weekend and we were seated at the same table.(You’re probably wondering why eat here anyway? My family from Hawaii is visiting and they love this place, and we’d usually come here whenever they’re in town.) They asked what time we’d be in, I said 730 so we arrived here at 715 and I check in. I was told we had to wait another 45 mins. Understood because it’s a Saturday night. I then explained that of the 7, 2 are children and asked again if we could be seated close to each other even if we weren’t on be same table… Again I was told no. I would have expected that after being open for x amount of years, this restaurant would find a way to accommodate large parties especially when reservations aren’t allowed. If you asked me before if I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Fairfield I would have said yes. After tonight sadly my answer is no. I would recommend Buckhorn in Winters instead. It may be pricier but I’m sure the service there surpasses the service here.

Okay so we got a table for 6 and we were waiting with the paper with our confirmation number. It was a usual wait for a group our size(about 30 – 45 min). It was going good until I said it was actually 7 people. The lady who took our party number said something like«Oh then you’ll have to wait another 45 minutes.» REALLY? 45FREAKINMINUTESTOADDONEMOREPERSON??? STOPPLAYINME! But I brushed it off because maybe it’s not gonna take that long. Then the ‘lead coordinator for major parties’ also had this HUGE attitude that gave me some BS answer saying some TOTALCRAP as the to why it’s such a LONGWAITTOADDONEMOREPERSON. the wait wasn’t so bad because of the free bread, but that doesn’t make up for what we’ve went through. It started getting even worse when parties who were coming in were going STRAIGHT before us. I understand that you can call ahead to reserve but COMEON, we were waiting almost TWOHOURS. They couldn’t even ASKUSIFWEWEREOKAY? what the hell! The staff THEN decided to ‘go around’ after 3 of my family members went to complain. Texas Roadhouse, you are TERRIBLE.

My party was a party of 7, I understand the wait is longer for larger parties. We came at 6:30, and they said the wait is 45 – 1 hr, we agreed. It’s 8:30, and it’s as if everyone except us were being called. It’s been two hours so we spoke to the hostess. The hostess’ service was horrible, she rolled her eyes and spoke with a monotone attitude. We spoke with respect, and they spoke to us with an attitude. I understand that they receive a lot of customers and things get hectic, but don’t put it out on customers like us. I’ve been here plenty of times, and every time the service is not so great but I endured it. This time, it was just unbearable. So we left and went else where! Also, not everyone wants to call ahead! People go out on a whim sometimes! So don’t tell me to call ahead! If it wasn’t for the free bread and peanuts while we waited, I would give this place zero stars if I could for this horrible experience.

Went here for lunch and was hungry as all get out. Food was great and the green beans were highly flavored. I also had the mashed potatoes and the gravy was good and hot. Seems like the chef also put in some butter. Had grilled chicken and it was tender and juicy. It was also coated in a lime sauce that I liked. Overall a good place for lunch and to spend an amount that is not breaking the budget. I like that about this place. Just for a good meal I will go here and especially when I am in the mood to hit the outlets in Vacaville or on my way to San Francisco.

I came here over the weekend with my boyfriend’s family. His family always comes here for special occasions, but this was my first time here. The place was very crowded, but that’s because it was a Sunday. The service was a bit slow and I could tell our waitress seemed stressed. The bread was amazing and we also got the onion breaded appetizer which was delicious! I filled up on those alone. But the service was pretty slow and I was extremely hungry so I was just eating the appetizers in the mean time. By the time the food came out, I was already full. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and it was big. I took a bite into it and I found broken pieces of the«well done» pick in it. I found one of the pieces in my mouth too which could have been dangerous. :/The meal itself was extremely salty as well. Usually I would complain but the entire place was busy and it was hard to flag down a waiter. I don’t like giving 2 stars, but I didn’t have a great experience there because of my burger and the service.
