Well, I ordered online and I have never had their ribs and so I ordered them. Never again!!! The meat was tough and overcooked to the point that we couldn’t bite through it and it was so dried out and had no taste at all, the bones themselves were actually soft as if they had been boiled for days. We also wondered why the baked potato casserole was brown and tasted like it was old, the dogs wouldn’t even it it. The pulled pork was okay but honestly I can make a much better one. The beef brisket was also tasteless. Then they described their pecan pie to sound absolutely delicious and we had to actually throw it away it had no taste at all and was just at best something that you could buy at the Walmart Bakery for 3.50 which is what a piece cost there. Not to mention that the baked beans that we ordered were also inedible they were so spicy that we could not eat them and I put hot sauce on most of what I eat. So for dinner for two it cost me almost $ 40 and we couldn’t eat most of it, needless to say that we will not be back.

It’s my first time to visit this place. I thought I’d try their barbecue. I ordered the family dinner. Food was overhyped as far as advertising is concerned. I wasn’t too impressed about it but I guess my family liked it. The person in charged of putting all the side dishes forgot to include the barbecue cause in which I specifically reminded them to include in the bag. I was disappointed. I ended up using barbecue sauce I bought from the grocery store. Maybe it’s just me. I might give it a try again next time.

I’ve been to Dickey’s Barbecue Pit’s, Vacaville location several times but my first time here… ‘And the verdict, its«okay.» The Saturday Special was the Chopped Brisket Big BBQ Sandwich… BTW, it wasn’t very big.(That’s what she said!- SFX: Rimshot) Okay, now that I’ve got that out of the way, on to the review! Saturday Speical(Menu Board) — Walked in shortly after 5pm, the place was empty with the exception of the lady and two children. This was an unexplored visit to Dickey’s due to circumstances and was unsure on what I was going to order. A number of people have mentioned the three meat plate, so there was that. However, their specials board looked good too… The best part was that I didn’t have to spend to much time contemplating what to order, «Hi, I’ll take today’s special!» The $ 10.99 price tag comes with two sides and a drink. «So, what are you two most popular sides dishes… The BBQ Baked Beans and Baked Potato Casserole? ‘Sound good!» Of course, nothing pairs with BBQ food like a frosty root beer soda… ‘And that, was that! Now, we wait. Photo — As I waited, the lady w/the kids left and another couple walked in. There was a family of four that placed an order to-go. When the Saturday Special made it to my table, the«Big BBQ Sandwich,» as mentioned before was quite underwhelming. Now, if you’re a pygmy, have abnormally teeny tiny hand, or an Asian female, this might be HUGE!(I’m just kidding about the Asian female line… ‘Some Asian guys fall under this category too.) It was an average size sandwich with just an average size serving of meat. I took my first bite of the unadulterated bite of brisket, sans sauce… ‘Nice flavor, albeit it a bit on the dry side. Photo — The added onion & pickle paired nicely with the meat. The stark contrast in flavors, sharp, tart & vinegary, as well as texture worked very well with the savory, soft texture of the meat. I could have simply finished the meal without any sauce whatsoever. However, being that the brisket was on the dry side, the sauce was a very welcomed addition. Also, I’m a sucker for sauces… That’s not necessarily a good thing because so much natural flavor, good or bad can be lost or «hidden,» when it’s buried in sauce. I’m also a huge fan of vinegar and all things pickled. Dickey’s BBQ sauces were very good, more so if you like yours a bit on the vinegary side. I sampled the three different sauces, Original, Sweet, and Sh’picy. Even though Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has its roots based in Dallas, Texas, starting in the early 1940s, the sauces has a very North Carolina taste to them, very vinegary which is quite evident in their signature, Original Sauce as well as the Spicy. The least vinegary of the three is the Sweet Sauce. The sauces are all very good but I found myself alternating between the Original and Spicy, not so much with the Sweet Sauce. Photo — I saw Jalapeño Beans offered as one of the sides, I tried a small sample and thought, «Hmm, could use a bit more heat, it’s okay…» So, after trying the sample, I decided to order the crowd favorite, BBQ Baked Beans. Photo — The sides were pretty good, my favorite being the BBQ beans. The baked potato wasn’t too bad either but a casserole… ‘Hardly, more like a a euphemism for mashed potatoes. Photo — Save room for dessert, this is where the food rating gets an extra«plus,» due in large to the FREE soft serve ice cream. So, what better way to end your meal than with dessert? Soft serve ice cream + Root beer soda = Dessert!(‘Or if you’re not a fan of root beer, a coke float will also get the job done.) Photo — The young lady that helped me @ the counter was friendly & helpful but nothing apart from standard service. Overall, it was«okay,» not bad but just alright… The meat was flavorful, not as moist as I hoped, the sides were okay, with portions being so-so. I expected a bit more for an $ 11 Happy Meal… ‘And it didn’t even come with a cheap plastic toy from some«Now Playing,» Disney movie — Big Aloha! Food: 3+ Ambiance: 3 Service: 3+ Value: 3

So sad that I didn’t get what I ordered… Taste is good but for $ 13 a plate you think they’d make sure the order is at least correct. I didn’t get a roll, and I didn’t get the meat that I ordered. I ordered brisket and got pulled pork:. ANDNOROLL… I’m devastated… I don’t live very close so I don’t intend on driving back. First time was a fail :/

After waiting in line for over 10 minutes, I tried ordering chicken breast or turkey breast and they didn’t have either one. I don’t eat beef or pork so it was a waste of my time.

Wow! I haven’t had barbecue in a while. This was delicious. I shared the rib plate with my kids with an extra side and my husband got himself a barbecue plate. The ribs dipped in the original sauce was delicious. I enjoyed the homemade taste of the Mac and cheese. On Sunday’s kids eat free! Woo-hoo!

Dicky’s is currently my favorite restaurant at the moment. I could eat here everyday if it was possible. The brisket is moist, the chicken smokey, polish sausage is spicy… I could go on and on. The Fairfield location gets 5 stars for rhe or excellent customer service. Love the free cups and ice cream too.

Dickey’s is somewhere in between 3 and 4 stars for me, but I’ll bump it up to 4 for their soft serve and chicken caesar salad. Taste/quality of their meats — pretty good Taste/quality of their sides — not super impressive We don’t come here too often because the prices here are a little steep for the amount of food we’d need to order to fill up my bottomless pit of a husband(we’re convinced he has a tapeworm). But I like to stop by when I’m craving a chicken caesar salad, because they do those especially well. The chicken is very flavorful and diced up nicely, the cheese and dressing aren’t too overwhelming, and the croutons are pretty tasty. It also comes with a roll(sometimes, not always — it’s not consistent so be sure to ask for one) which tastes better than I thought it would. And perhaps the best part — they have free soft serve ice cream! That’s right, there’s a soft serve machine that you can help yourself to before, during, or after your meal. Sometimes I even take some to-go. I did not care for the mac’n’cheese at all, and the fries and tanglers are only okay. We couldn’t try many of the other sides because we don’t care for beans, coleslaw, or potato salad. Yeah I know, we’re picky. Not big fans of things that are too creamy or mayo-heavy. Good for families with children — apparently kids eat free on Sundays.

My favorite thing about this place is the BARBECUESAUCE! I just wanted to take a whole jar home. Lol. Anyways, we got their pulled pork with Mac and cheese. It was a good pit stop before dinner lol. We actually ate so much that we couldn’t even eat at the dinner place we were supposed to go to next. Everything was really flavorful, and their Mac and cheese was really good! The only thing I would say negative about this place is that they oversalt their fries and their meat. It was almost too salty to eat by the end. We ended up tossing the rest of our fries. The yellow cup was cool too, it’s something you can keep for later(typical Filipino thing) haha.

This is my second visit to Dickeys Barbecue. I must say for a fast food restaurant it’s pretty delicious. I had the one meat plate which comes with two sides and a bun. The ribs were exactly what they say it was, fall off the bone good. The macaroni and cheese was pretty tasty as well. I’ve certainly had better slow cooked home ribs but like I said before, for a fast food restaurant, this place is great compares to having a burger and fries we normally would’ve grabbed when in a hurry.

Ok, I am always on the lookout for good BBQ. I was jonesing for brisket yesterday, 9÷10÷15, so I decided to give Dickey’s a try. I ordered the Westerner which is supposed to have 2 meats or doublemeat. It came on a smallish hoagie roll buttered, sorta toasted, no sides. First of all they chopped up the meat, I prefer sliced, so it kept falling out of the bread. As for double meat, if that was double what they would normally serve, it was pretty weak. As a matter of fact, I didn’t see an option for a single serving. Now the meat itself was good, moist and fairly flavorful, I think $ 8.74 including taxes w/a senior discount is a bit much, especially if no sides are included. The service was good, friendly staff, seemed very nice. I doubt I’ll be back, no bang for the buck.

The food is the same as any other Dickey’s… Dry meat, decent chicken, a few good sides. But the service is what gets me. The manager, as his name tag indicated, was as rude as they come. We were literally the only people in line and we waited about 3 minutes to even be acknowledged, and we didn’t even get a «hi» or «hello», just a «what can I get you?» We had a group of four adults and four children, so we ordered 8 meals. There was a lot of air sucking while he prepped our meals, like he was exasperated by the process.

Love the food. Very yummy. Great portions… Always leave full. Love the free ice cream(hint– put ice cream in your big yellow cup and add root beer for a root beer float)! Love the sauce options… Mmm! Only complaint, I feel that it’s a bit pricey… But I guess I’m paying for what I get… And I like the food!

Great place to get a great deal on quality food. I had a brisket sandwich packed with meat and the perfect portion. Had some sweet tea and spicy baked beans with jalapeño. The meat is semi-dry but their bbq sauce makes everything better :) Staff were friendly and helpful. One forgot to ring up my grandmas senior discount and came back to give her a $ 5 credit. I bought a lb of brisket to take home for about $ 14. Not too shabby.

My Dickey’s Barbecue Pit cherry has been popped. I actually like this franchise. I have a good excuse for collecting more plastic cups to hold my toothbrush and toothpaste in or «Tabus» in my bathroom.(A lot of Pinoys would probably get the tabu reference.) Plus, there’s free soft served ice cream… YES, soft served ice cream is FREE. It’s a bummer that vanilla is the only flavor, but at this point, free ice cream in a cone sounds fantastic to me. I came here on a Sunday evening with my family since my brother suggested it. I ordered a beef brisket BBQ sandwich with onions and no pickles. Keep in mind that the meat will be dry as Death Valley Desert if you don’t add some BBQ sauce on the meat. It gives the sandwich a bit of a slight bang. There’s also three different types of BBQ sauces to choose from like the original, sweet, or spicy. Staff on the other hand are polite. I wouldn’t mind coming back here again for the sandwich. I’m not too sure if the ribs and other BBQ meats are top quality.

This is our second time coming here, the first time was good & this time was too. We had the 3 meat plate with sides of potato casserole & Mac & Cheese which were both on point. Mac & Cheese may need a bit of pepper but good! My husband had the Half Rack of Ribs and he enjoyed it very much! We all love their complimentary ice cream which is oh so yummy!!! My Aunt had the brisket plate, it was a bit cold but she said it was good! We definitely will be coming back!!! A bit pricy for the amount of food you get though. GREATCUSTOMERSERVICEBY: Daniel(who was cooking the meat) the gentleman who was doing the sides & the cashier Alex all so wonderful!!!

I’m always skeptical about barbecue joint’s, especially at fast food BBQ joint, but this place is very good. They have a big commercial smoker in the back the same that big BBQ restaurants use so it gets a great smoke flavor. I had the beef brisket and pulled pork, and man it was good, and the southern style sweet tea was awesome. Great friendly staff very helpful went out the way to get all of our order is correct. I can’t wait until the Fresno location is open.
