Went a couple of weeks ago. Lousy service. My husband ordered Salmon it was Raw and cold in center. The waitress brought it to the cook and he said that’s how they serve it. They are never wrong. Would not recommend. High priced all you pay for is the view. Service and food are terrible

Awful food. Awful service. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. Overpriced, rude servers, dry meat… need I go on?

If you hired inexperienced novice servers. You get poor service, the wrong drinks, no knowledge of what is really available. Not servers fault, but poor manager, especially on Father’s day. Bartender is inexperienced, does not know common drinks. Out if specials at 6pm on Father’s day. Steak medium look like beaten hide, way over cooked and chewy. Most expensive steak on menu, way under cooked, raw, not ever rate, as one side was not cooked. Assume cook is inexperienced too. Cuts of meat, no longer quality. May be Choice, but tough with a lot of rubbery cartilage like Select. Seriously has gone down hill. Service is also very slow. Too bad, it was good at first. Would not come back. So many more options. Just a matter of time until it closes and a new place moves in. Too bad

Very slow service and food was bad. My porterhouse was overcooked and dry. Servers cannot keep up and it took almost 2 ½ hours to eat with 6 people. Additionally see attached photo:

Wow! Excellent service, menu and drink list. Decent wine at very good prices. Great view from a spacious and comfortable deck. We ordered the sautéed calamari. It was not greasy and done perfectly. She had the Farm House Salad with scallops and it was very generous and delicious. I had the 7 oz Filet with smashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and mushrooms and a Demi glacé. My steak was medium rare and absolutely perfect. It is reasonably priced – bottle of wine, 2 entrees, coffee and was under $ 100. Just great. Must go!

We went early on a Saturday night at 5pm. We were all alone when we started. I really enjoyed the appetizers more than the dinner. By the time we were done there was a few more tables filled. They have a small dining area and even smaller bar. The waiter was attentive and friendly.

Had a great dinner on Saturday night with four people. The staff were fast and polite. All of the food was delicious and my fillet was cooked to perfection. All of the sides were consistent and well presented. A half salad will suffice here and our waitress warned us against a full sized salad as they are nearly a meal in themselves. A bit on the pricey side but certainly in line for the quality of food and ambiance. Looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent steakhouse. Seafood bisque was tasty and had chunks of seafood. My filet was well cooked and had a great texture. My meal came with a side of potato and vegetables rather than needing to order sides a la carte. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and is cheaper than some of the other steak houses in the area.

We loved it! The ambience was truly spectacular! It is so cozy and beautiful inside … Think dark wooden floors, white tablecloths and perfect lighting with a view of the canal. Romance at its finest. Walked in Friday night without a reservation. It was quite busy but they did find us a table immediately. Our waitress went over the menu and when I mentioned i was a vegetarian(imagine in a steakhouse!) she told me the chef would be happy to prepare me anything that I would like! Yes, we vegetarians do frequent steakhouses to accommodate our other halves! It was so nice not to settle for just a baked potato! I did end up ordering only the arugula salad(perfectly dressed and HUGE) and a side of scalloped potatoes(divine). I think I just liked having the option! My Honey ordered one of the steaks and the waitress had him take a bite before she left us to make sure it was perfect(it was). She also put his pommes frites on a separate plate so that I could eat them ! Yummo! The only reason I can’t give five stars was service was a bit slow(granted our waitress had a huge party she was attending to). Just keeping it real … I will def be back and encourage others to try out this great steakhouse in Fairport!

Last night was our first time dining at The Porterhouse at Packetts landing in Fairport. When are restaurants that specialize in steak going to hire chefs that actually know how to cook a steak properly? We ordered(2) Angus Steak au Poivre Ribeye’s and(1) Angus Steak Steak au Poivre flat iron. We asked for medium rare for the Ribeye’s and medium for the flat iron. Suffice it to say that the medium rare came out medium well and was not juicy at all and the flat iron was well done and like leather. One issue may have been that the steaks were not very thick which makes it difficult to control cooking a medium rare vs a medium steak since the variances are so close with a thinner cut of meat. For 30 dollars a pop I would have expected a better cut of meat since the Angus classification was a bit suspect. Everything else was excellent, the sides were delicious and the waitress was above average. It is a shame that the kitchen is not putting out a good product. When we mentioned that the steaks were not cooked properly they gave us a free dessert and an apology. I would have rather had a nice juicy steak instead of an apology. Next time I am going to spend $ 43.00 at Max Chophouse for an 18oz Aged Prime Ribeye that is delicious every time for an additional $ 13.00. Bill came to $ 210 with tip for four people. Unless they make some changes in the kitchen we will not be returning.

My husband & I had dinner here with our family, party of 7, Friday, November 27, 2015. Nice location & ambiance, not too loud. Unfortunately, it was dark & raining so we weren’t able to enjoy the view. The service was excellent & the friendly wait staff checked in often to make sure we were happy. For appetizers we ordered the smoked tuna crostini, the artichoke french, which they were able to do gluten-free for me, and the special, escargot. The smoked tuna was absolutely fabulous, my husband’s favorite item of the night. The GF artichoke french was delicious, no easy feat for GF. The escargot was very good as well, though not prepared in a manner we would have preferred. It was served with a sauce that was tasty, but more broth-like instead of the more traditional creamy garlic butter sauce. For entrees, those of us who ordered steaks enjoyed them very much. I got the filet mignon & my husband had the peppercorn encrusted strip, both were cooked well. The asparagus served with my meal was delicious, just a bit of crunch left. Everything was so good, we didn’t have room for dessert!

My husband and I went to the Porterhouse for our anniversary dinner. We made reservations for 2, window seat overlooking the canal. We were greeted by a genuinely friendly hostess. It started our experience with a smile. The restaurant has been remodeled from the old Joey Bs. It has a more upscale feel to it. There is a small bar as you enter. At 6:00 there was a healthy bar crowd. All the servers were dressed in costume as there was live music coming in and a Halloween bash out on the patio later that evening. It made for fun discussions with those working there. We were seated at the window — beautiful view of the canal and lights. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The water/bread server was also very personable. Dinner started with warm bread and herbed butter. Delicious. I had a Cosmo — well made. My husband was disappointed in the Cabernet offered. He ordered a Caesar salad and I had the French onion soup. Both were well presented and delicious. Dinner was a disappointment for me, however. I ordered the twin lobster tails, au gratin potatoes, and asparagus. The lobster tails were over cooked and mushy. The potatoes were barely lukewarm. These are regular items on the menu and should be expertly prepared. My husband tasted the potatoes and called the waiter over. The waiter did bring me out a replacement plate of hot potatoes. My husband ordered the pan seared scallops with rice and veggies. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal. He was disappointed that I couldn’t say the same about mine. So am I.

I love the view and décor of this place. Enjoyed sitting at a table overlooking the canal. Food was delicious, we enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was friendly & fast. It is a bit pricey, but worth the money. Will definitely will return.

Let me first start out by saying how much I wish a restaurant would thrive and do well here. Being residents of Fairport my wife and I love to support local business. Not to mention the perfect location on the canal. My wife and I came here during Fairport music fest with my cousin and his wife. We were celebrating our birthdays and my cousin’s birthday was that night. The waitress carded him for a drink(being clearly over 21) and his wife laughed, telling the waitress it was his birthday that day. Not finding the humor, the waitress said«ummm we don’t do birthdays here». Off to a great start. Upon receiving the menus we immediately noticed this restaurant is just a repackaged T-Bones(located in Penfield). In fact there were staff members walking around with T-Bones apparel on. What is the point of opening a new restaurant under a new name if you just plan to rip off of an existing(and overpriced) one? My cousin and I ordered ribeye and my wife ordered bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp. My cousins wife ordered twin petit filets. We started off with salads and sat and waited… for 45 minutes. The waitress admitted they actually forgot about our salads. We only got a few bites of salad in before our meals were coming out. Let me just say that if you’re going to charge premium steakhouse prices, please understand how to cook to different temperatures. Medium well does not equal medium rare simply because they share the same term«medium». Not to mention, for a premium steak house, I don’t expect that my side of broccoli would come from a bag in the freezer. My wife’s shrimp was dry and over cooked and her risotto was so filled with salt, she barely ate her meal. It wasn’t until the bill came and my cousins wife spoke up about the food and service that the waitress mentioned she thought we must not have liked the food because it was barely touched. Why not ask how our food was sooner you ask? We were wondering the same thing. The waitress only then decided to take $ 5 off of our bill for potatoes my cousins wife didn’t even order. The manager came over after the waitress notified him of our experience and he only said, «I’m sorry, I hope you try us again sometime». Not looking for a free meal here but there was plenty of opportunity to make this experience right. I can promise you we won’t be recommending or coming back… especially for that price. Also, you might want to take the time to train your servers on the menu so they know what they’re recommending and can answer questions.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night. I ordered a medium rare tenderloin and my husband had steak au piovre. The menu had two different beef choices listed for the steak au poivre, but my husband received neither and ended up receiving a strip steak. Really, sold out when we were there early in the dinner hour and it was not full. The people behind wanted the lobster and they were told it was sold out also. Both our steaks were way undercooked, they were practically mooing. They were not anywhere near medium rare. The people behind us complained their steak was undercooked, we heard another couple leaving that their steak was undercooked, so we thought we would let the manager know our experience. His response was that everybody has a different interpretation of medium rare. Um, No. There is a definite temperature and feel to the meat between rare and medium rare. Any good chef would know this. And all the other great restaurants with their knowledgeable chefs in this entire greater Rochester area know this. I’ve never had a problem getting medium rare before. It was also evident that the wait staff is not educated on the menu items. We heard the server tell the table behind us that the risotto this evening is «sun dried tomato and that Kal-a-meed-a thing, I think it those black olives stuff». Our server was overly persistent in her upselling to get us to order an appetizer, insisting that we would love the Clams Casino. That dish usually contains gluten, a food item I have to avoid and I had told her this upfront. When I asked her if their version contained bread crumbs, which had gluten, she had to go check with the chef before she could answer. It is the job of the servers to describe the food in such a way that you desire it, not act like a cheesy car salesman to get you to order something. It makes me wonder how much pressure these poor servers are put under to get a larger order. The décor is so-so. It looks like everything came straight out of Lowes. The TV in the very small bar area is distracting and not needed. The manager seemed more concerned with what was playing on the television than a smooth running restaurant. If you’re looking for a place to take your Grandmother than pick this place. The food is bland enough. All that missing is the applesauce. And as far as being a high end restaurant, or even a steak house, it is neither. It’s more like Applebees in disguise.

My pet peeve is paying for an Enter in the high 20s and not getting soup or salad with it — makes for an expensive bill. Mind you, this is working class Fairport, not the Upper East Side of New York. The dish I ordered was scallops — excellent. The accompaniments were rice first few bites was a strong curry flavor, then next few bites were heavily salted. I don’t like my summer veggies with the peel on, i. e, eggplant and summer squash. The crab soup had an unusual flavor and was served cold And had to send it back. Décor is nice, I believe they are working the bugs out, but probably not going back, not a great value especially For sitting in a deck. Will go to new Joey Bs. My husbands lampmchoosmdidnr even come With mint jelly!

We sat outside on the deck over looking the canal, really nice view. The manager seated us, the waiter was very good and knowledgable. The meals were awesome, I had the strip steak my date had the filet. Only drawback is no local beer, they only had bottles.
