Food here is good when I come. The staff is always nice to us because I only show up draped in a Portuguese flag. I wouldn’t say it’s the best bife in Fall River, but that’s only because my mom isn’t in the back cooking. Plus they’re open on Mondays which is crazy.

I come here a few times and no issues. I do love the ice tea, it’s super sweet. The service is OK and the food is fine. Previous reviews noticed an off smell about the steak and I noticed it too. Parking isn’t bad. Portions are good size.

The food was great! Excellent service. I find their lunch menu to be short but I like prefer that makes picking something that much easier. Its definitely on par with restaurants like T&A and Springs Primavera. I the only thing I disliked was their parking(at least Infront of the resturant) is really tight and hard to get out of.

The only thing I remembered when we dined here was the service sucks!!! The dining area is located at the back. The front room consisted of the bar area. It was a nice gentleman who waited on us but everything was just sloooowwww. There were diners who came after us and they were served first. This gave me and my bf sour faces. The other waitress heard me complain then lo, and behold! Our waiter came out with our soup and salad. He didn’t bring our drinks though. We had to wait for that too! We ended up eating everything without our wine. This was bad, really bad… He only came back with our drinks(after waiting for a month) when he brought our main entrees. I had the Mozambique shrimp and chicken which was pretty bland. My bf ordered one of that day’s special, the liver with sides. He requested a fried egg with it. Well well. The waiter forgot the egg too. And only came back with it when my bf had already finished his food. What the heck were we supposed to do with that piece of egg now? He was embarrassed coz he apologized profusely but c’mon. I go out to eat and pay for the service, to be waited on, so I don’t have to cook and waste time waiting. Never mind the mediocre taste of the food. We don’t know why this particular waiter was so slow. The restaurant wasn’t packed at all. There were lots of empty tables. Then we heard another couple from another table yell at a waitress and said, «We’ve been waiting for a long time for our water!». We opted not to order dessert coz we were already upset. But my bf, being Portuguese lie he is, has to have a cappuccino after every meal. So he ordered one. We’ve been looking at our clocks the whole time, it wasn’t a relaxing experience at all. We waited and waited, and finally my bf got up to look for this waiter. And what do you know, he was at the other room, at the bar, BARTENDING!!! So all this time he was doing these two jobs. It was horrible!!! We, the diners, suffered from this consequence. My bf demanded for his cappuccino there. Waiter apologized again when he came back but this was just too much. This place needs to up their game coz there’s so much competition in the area. Our whole dining experience was ruined.(Forget that the coffee tasted burned.) We paid the tab and left in a huff!

The cuserla for sampling on the table woes exceptionally good. The Portuguese bread was fresh and delicious. Staff was adequate. Décor was tacky but funny. My dish, beef alentenjana was dry and lacking sauce. I almost couldn’t eat it. My husband got the steak with egg & fries which was better. Worth a visit.

Tjhis is one if my favorite Portuguese restaurants of the many in the city. Good quality food and their French fries are always fresh not frozen. The Terra Nostra steak is my favorite

I ate here about a month back and odered the Steak Terra Nostra. I have eaten this many times prior, but this time, I found a taste and odor like bad meat. Needless to say, i will not go back.

Came for a birthday lunch on a Saturday. Décor not its strong point. Party ordered the house steak, codfish, and arroz de marisco. The marisco was ok but some of the octopus was overcooked. Steak was good but I recommend ordering medium if you want well done and so on. The best dish was the cod. Great presentation and fresh n tasty. Highlight of the lunch.

We’ve been to this restaurant a few times so I guess I have enough info to write a review. The food and the service has always been just fine, most portuguese restaurants take a little longer as it’s more of a night out than just grabbing a quick bite to eat so when we crave this type of food, we know what to expect(you are not going to be rushed in and out). The wife and I have had the Portuguese steak, Pork Alentejana, Chicken Mozambique, Shrimp Mozambique even a Baked stuffed Lobster every plate was real good. The Calamari appetizer is a favorite as well. They serve bread along with a small bowl of Cacoila as soon as you sit down. I would definitely go back again and again… the only downfall is parking is tight and very limited. Our server on our last trip informed us that they did purchase the building across the street and plan to demolish it and add more parking lot so that will help.

I have only been inside the restaurant a few times to sit down and have dinner but my family usually does take out frequently. Every time we have been satisfied with our order(usually we order Portuguese steak, chicken mozambique and chicken fingers for the kids.) The staff is friendly and welcoming. Be sure to ask for extra rice and gravy though! I would recommend Terra Nostra to families and large groups.

I ate here with my family in January of this year. I’ve been meaning to go back, but it is a little bit pricey for me and the portions are not that big. Most of my family ordered little necks and steak/potatoes/something like that. It looked very good and plentiful but I don’t like little necks so I passed. I ordered kale soup and crab cakes. I didn’t pay, so I can’t really recall the costs. I want to say that the kale soup was 3.75 and it was a pretty small portion. It was delicious, though, I wouldn’t say worth the price for what it was. The crab cakes were cooked wonderfully and had a slice of lemon on the side. I believe it came with 6 or 8 crab cakes — I had a couple at the restaurant and brought the rest home. I would definitely go again!

Just an ok Portuguese restaurant. Nothing special about it. I probably won’t rush to go here again as this town has tons of other Portuguese restaurants in it.

They have no veggie selection at all which bummed me out a bit but our waitress was nice enough to make something that was edibile for myself. My hubby did vouch that the food he ordered was great and the portion was amazing. It has a cozy feel to it but it does fill up with cultured Portuguese men at the bar that laugh the night away(not that that is bad). The prices are okay.

My family was craving some authentic Portuguese food(since we don’t have a lot of options in California), so we dropped by Terra Nostra to fill fill that void in our bellies. This place does seem very mafiaesque, good description. An elegant, classy type of mafia though. Some hard working Portuguese construction workers were at the bar taking a load off so if you are fond of the drink, this place would be a good consideration. The waitress was prompt with our order and gave us plenty of time to browse the menu. Waiting for the food was another story entirely. I’m pretty sure the the cook forgot to come into work that day because our order took FOREVER to get to us. I had the Portuguese Steak Sandwich with fries. Sandwich was tasty but the fries were luke warm and lacked the crisp of a quality fry. Please, for the love of the Azores, be a little more timely with the orders!

I agree with Shawn, a nice homey place to bring friends for dinner. The service on a Wednesday night was great, our waitress Fatima was very pleasant. The three of us were all pleased with our meals, the wine the waitress recommended, a red called Adegaborba was excellent, the fish cake appetitizer was light and very good, I really liked the Portuguese Bean pie for dessert. On the down side, the bar was too close to the dinning room, making it a bit to noisy and the shrimp in the shrimp mozambique still had the vein in. It is isn’t overly fancy, but casual and relaxed.

Nice place for a casual meal with family and friends. Emily C., sorry you are just wrong. How couldn’t you know there was more than one Portuguese Restaurant in Fall River(aka Little Portugal)? The staff can be a little friendlier though. I still recommend this place and often get the Portuguese Steak to go.

I went here accidentally, planning on going to Cinderella and not realizing that there was more than one Portuguese restaurant in Fall River! Don’t go here, just DON’T do it! Service is unfriendly and the food is really bad(watery, tepid kale soup, weird shredded chicken to go with the complimentary bread, and just plain bad chicken mozambique). My father was wondering if the place was a guise for mafia dealings, what with the tacky décor and suspicious men at the bar. In a sentence: Better meals come out of the microwave, and I am not one to give microwaves any credit.
