This place is closed. After being here for probably 30 years Mike and Marie are no longer here. It’s really sad not seeing them. This place was a landmark in Farmingdale. I met my husband there while we worked there so it has many memories. Many memories for me beyond that. This place did have really good food. It is now called La Villetta

I got the stuffed mushroom appetizer and it was ok, so I was a little worried. But the entrée was excellent — pork shank with risotto dish was superb! As with most Italian restaurants, I had plenty for leftovers. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly and overall a great experience.

Good food, terrible waitress ! Never came over to see how we were doing, just came over to take our orders, she had someone else give us the check, WTF !!! The busboy deserves the credit, he was great !!! Save your $$$$$$, go somewhere else, you’ll get better service at your local pizza parlor !!!

My wife and I started going to this restaurant back in 1999. We have never had a bad meal here. Everything on the menu is delicious. The service is great and the portions are very generous. We always bring food home. If you like home style Italian food without the stuffiness of the high price restaurants, then this is the place for you.

We have eaten in here many times. Food was always good. I had my first daughters bridal shower here and her rehearsal dinner. My second daughter had her rehearsal dinner booked here for over six months, now ONE Month before the wedding rehearsal dinner they call and cancel because they will be under construction!!! Who does business like this! Granted the décor was outdated, but plan your construction earlier, and don’t book parties! So sorry that we didn’t demand a contract, but we trusted them since we were frequent customers, had two parties there already and attended several other functions there. After being good customers for over seven years we will not be eating in Bella Napoli anymore, or recommending it for private events ever again!

I finally tried Bella Napoli after living here in Farmingdale for 3 years. I ordered the veal Marsala with pasta in a red sauce. Nice sized portion and very tasty for a local place can’t wait to go back and try their chicken cacciatore.

My family has been going here for years. Being 100% Italian my father is very particular about his Italian food, so if he likes it, you know it’s good. He loves Bella Napoli. The pizza bread is delicious. All of the food is fresh and delicious. The pasta is cooked al dente and the sauce is home made. I have never had a dish here that wasn’t good. My favorite are the chicken parm and eggplant parm. My mom loves the macaroni with shrimp and peas. They now offer gluten free pasta which is great for my mom who has a gluten allergy.

This is the worst Italian Restaurant that I have ever been to. The service is UNACCEPTABLE! We are here to celebrate the life of a lost one and we can’t because we’ve been there for over an hour an only received cold soup, which we only got because we complained about the lack of attention to our party. They kicked us out of the room we were shown and sat down at for another party who booked it first(who was smaller than ours) and now we cannot sit with ALL of our friends and family because there is not enough room… I would never EVER come here again and suggest that no one else come here either.

Just awful. Dated décor and terrible waitresses. The ravioli cheese had a freezer burn taste. The meat sauce was blan and the Italian sausage was from the supermarket. The cold anti pasta was right out of a jar. What are they thinking! Bus boy was the only attentive employee, he can go places at a better restaurant.

The man & I wanted a nice relaxing dinner locally at a non-chain eatery. We were kid-free for the evening. A mid-week«date night», if you will! We chose lovely Bella Napoli. As always, it was a pleasure. Nice soft lighting, not a blessed child in sight! Ha, ha! Don’t get me wrong A) I’m a Mom and B) I love kids but a little downtime from them is a good thing. Bella Napoli is totally family friendly, don’t get the wrong idea. Just on this Wednesday night, it was just adults. For starters we had the Cold Antipasto for two. It was a generous platter of salami, ham, cheese, olives, giardinera, roasted red peppers, artichokes on a bed of lettuce. There was plenty to take home for a lunch. I had Chicken Parm, 2 nice juicy cutlets with a flavorful marinara and cheese, plus a side of spaghetti, cooked al dente. The hubs had sausage, peppers, and onions with a side salad in place of pasta. He attacked the bread basket to mop up the sauce, of course! We indulged ourselves further with 2 desserts like the lunatics we are. We had tartufo(chocolate & vanilla ice cream w cherries and nuts, coated in dark chocolate) and a coconut/chocolate/mango sorbet confection. The only thing we didn’t do was order wine or booze. We exercised restraint by ordering Diet cokes, of course! HA, HA. It was a good time, that didn’t break the bank, just any though of a diet! Mangia!!!

It’s a good Italian American restaurant. If you’re looking for red sauce and the staples than this is one of the better spots in the area. The prices are moderate. If you’re looking for authentic, featured on Food Network type of Italian than this isn’t what you’re looking for.

After eating at this establishment for half-a-dozen times, the last time I was sorely disappointed. They pride themselves on making everything from scratch and this was the reason they told us for the long wait. We went in for our wedding anniversary since it was mid-week. There were only 2 other tables of a party of 3. So we were the 3rd table and it was just the two of us. My husband ordered spaghetti alfredo with prosciutto. I ordered chicken scallopine without peppers. Once our food came, my husband started eating his and noticed that the prosciutto was ham and tons of it. He was turned off right away. My food, although I asked for no peppers, seemed to have a pepper taste and I found a few peppers. This was not made from scratch, but picked out! We won’t go back for a very long time. There is definitely much better in the area. I didn’t complain to them personally because I think they are a bit cranky too.

This nice cozy restaurant has a family feel to it. Friends and I were able to eat there and socialize without competing with music or the staff. The menu offerings are fairly standard fair for Italian cuisine which has something for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Decent serving sizes and plenty of pre-dinner bread was made available(the pizza bread was especially good). While my selection was good this first time going, it was nothing that set itself apart from the rest though. That said, I would be willing to go back and sample other offerings. Staff were polite and pleasant. Self parking in the back made pleasant experience, not having to be hassled by valet parking.

I recently went here for a family function. And if you know my family(or even if you just look at us) you can tell we love us some good food. The food here certainly lives up to expectations. It is very reasonably priced and the portions are sizable. For starters they have a delicious pizza bread in addition to cut up regular Italian bread. We enjoyed quite a few baskets of that. Ohhhhh… before I go any further, please let me state that there were 10 of us… and all ravenous :). For appz, we ordered 3 orders of stuffed clams and 2 orders of the fried calamari. Clams were a little small but the calamari was of decent proportions. For the meal, I went with the veal Valentino– which is cooked in a wine and mushroom sauce and stuffed with mozz, and prosciutto. Aside from the cutlet being a little thin… it was delicious. You also get a choice of macaroni to accompany the meal, and i got the ziti with the same wine and shroom sauce. It was heavenly. I finished it all but I was stuffed. Other notably delicious meals are the scallop oreganata, and the veal parm. Go and enjoy all of the delicious goodness.

I have been going to this place for years. The food is excellent! Its family owned and it shows as they treat you as one of their own. You HAVE to try the chicken cordon bleu and the buffalo style calamari!!! They are amazing trust me!
