Stopped in today at 2:30pm to try their regular slice. Not sure if it’s our timing of getting a not so fresh slice but the crust was not pliable(ripped). Sauce was on the sweet side, which the hubby likes. A big group came after us and they ordered a fresh pie… wishing we tried that. Nice restaurant though and we may go back to try another slice.

Stopped in for lunch for the FIRST time after living around the corner for 5 years. There are two sides to Cascarino’s the pizza on the left and restaurant bon the right. The pizza and chicken roll were outrageous I will definitely go back again to try the restaurant !! The atmosphere was nice, people were friendly, and the service was quick. And a BIGBONUS was that they accept credit cards(unlike the other pizza spot in thr village)

Pretty good pizza, haven’t eaten inside but looks nice and clean. And customer seems to enjoy themselves dining in. So I recently bought a pie idk if you guys are holding back on cheese. But if defeats the purpose of a cheese pizza when you taste more dough that the actual pizza.

Had a luncheon after a family funeral during the week. The food was excellent. Portions were very generous for the amount of people that attended. Everyone was satisfied and full! The service was amazing as well. Maria helped to facilitate reservations and food order while Nicole and Analia where the perfect hostesses. Coming from a very somber occasion, not having to do «anything» was very appreciated. Thanks again girls!

We want to give this 5 stars but we can’t. The first time we went the outdoor atmosphere was nice but the food was so so. This time we were ignored. We sat outside on a beautiful night but had to ask 3 times for water, for utensils and the check. No follow up on our food or drinks. The eggplant rollatini appetizer was good but the special fettuccine primavera with shrimp & chicken was bland. If the music was a little louder and the service a little more attentive, we might have been able to overlook an ok dinner.

Use to love it. Went on a Friday and was ignored and forgotten about. Service is very lacking and under staffed when it’s busy. Food is very good though however the service brings down the taste.

Haven’t been here too recently so I don’t know if things have gotten better or worse than they were. The pizza isn’t amazing or the best thing on earth. At the same time it is also slightly above average. I can’t say much about the food as I only had it once and that was when they first opened a few years ago. I’m always tempted to order off the dinner menu but then I see the prices and don’t

Very nice casual Italian restaurant. At first it is deceiving, it looks like it’s just a «pizza place», but there is a beautiful dining room off to the side and there’s even an outdoor patio area. The staff is very friendly. The service is very good. Our two favorites so far: penne a la vodka slice and the chicken orzo soup. The soup tastes like really good, homemade chicken soup. If you’re in Farmingdale and you need a quick bite, give them a try! You won’t be disappointed!

Have been getting delivery entrees the last few months when I am hungry and looking for something good. Each meal has been great and delivery faster then promised.

I would categorize this restaurant not as Italian, but Hipster Italian. That’s not inherently a bad thing. La Bottega pulls it off with grace; they know what they are and they own it proudly, by focusing mostly on specialty salads and panini. Not so with Cascarino’s. Their menu has everything you would expect to find at an Italian restaurant/pizzeria, and the atmosphere is very nice. But once you really sit down and eat, the cracks begin to show. We ordered linguine in clam sauce and a Stromboli roll. The free bread they provided was actually excellent; it didn’t quite taste like normal Italian bread, but it was warm and fresh. The same can’t be said of the Stromboli. It looked pretty good, but it wasn’t hot and didn’t taste too fresh. I know pizza places usually keep rolls around for a while and reheat them in the oven, but it’s usually better than this. The next problem: we had to ask for Parmesan cheese, and it took a while to get it. I know that doesn’t seem kind a big deal, but for an Italian restaurant not to have Parmesan cheese readily available at every table is pretty strange. And the pasta itself was… decent enough, but not remarkable. It was hard for me to put my finger on exactly what was wrong with this place until we got the«cinnamon zeppoles» for dessert. The waitress literally called them the best thing ever, but I kept my expectations low nonetheless. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep them low enough; what we got really couldn’t be considered zeppoles by any stretch of the imagination. They were basically donut-shaped churros, and fairly dry ones at that. Clearly not freshly boiled, and not a hint of oil on ‘em. They were like some sort of Jenny Craig interpretation of a zeppole. That’s when I became certain that this restaurant just doesn’t «get» Italian food. We’ve also ordered pizza from here once, and we were similarly disappointed. We wanted to give it another shot, on the off chance that they were good at other Italian stuff besides pizza. But it’s clear now that it wasn’t just an off night. I would probably give Cascarino’s 3 stars if it were anywhere other than Long Island. It’s certainly better than something like Olive Garden, and the food is not BAD. But there’s really no point going to an «okay» Italian restaurant when there are thousands of other ones to choose from around here.

I should preface this review by stating I’ve never eaten here sober. From what I can recall, the pizza here is very good and equally important, the owner is really, really nice. As far as I’m concerned, if you can work 12 hour days 6 days a week and still be nice to drunk people, when probably more than half of your customers are drunk, you are an incredibly kind and patient person. The pizza is probably 4 stars, but this guy deserves your business and we could all use his kindness.

I purchased a margherita pizza to take out. My family LOVED it so much, my husband took me there for dinner in their new dining room. What a beautiful room! We shared a huge mesclun salad with goat cheese, dried cranberries and candied walnuts(one of the daily specials) YUM! I had veal marsala and he had veal Staiano. The food was outstanding! The service was terrific. The servings were so generous we wound up taking home half our meals. Overall, the experience was wonderful, and yummy! We’ll DEFINITELY be back!

I have to say, this is my favorite place to go to when I’m in the area. The pizza is delicious(grandma is a favorite), their Cesar salad is so fresh(with freshly shaved Parmesan cheese & dressing), and the pasta is aldente! If you love seafood, you won’t be disappointed with their friend calamari. Recently, I was diagnosed with a gluten-allergy and this place make the best gluten-free pizza on Long Island. You would be surprised with how difficult it is to find gluten-free pizza that doesn’t taste like cardboard and ketchup. The service is great, the staff is like family, and now they just opened up a restaurant off to the side with outdoor seating. Have yourself a glass of wine and enjoy!

We order from here time to time at Raymour&flanigan. The pizza and heros are very good. Tried their grandmas and regular slices. Very tasty. Their chicken rolls are good as well. Casacarino’s is a good local Italian restaurant in good old Farmingdale. NY.

I’ve tried Cascarinos twice now. Once when they first opened. I remember being generally just underwhelmed, thinking that it really could have been better. I didn’t go back, just went on to frequent the multitude of other local. pizza joints. Last night I had a chance to try 3 different types and the garlic knots. Sausage and pepper pie– Good flavor on the sausage, skimpy on the red peppers and onions. Cheese amount was ok, scant amount of sauce. The crust was dry and flavorless and there was too much of an amount of crust vs, size of the slice. Pepperoni pie– Skimpy on the pepperoni, same deal with the sauce/cheese/crust Regular pie– just, «Ehhh» — i.e. «nothing to write home about» Garlic knots– overdone, dry, no sauce to dip into They seem to be a popular spot, but as a pizza lover, nothing is drawing me back, really.

I was in such a hurry when I got food here last night. If I have a chance to come back again I’ll definitely update the review. I ordered an eggplant parm hero to go when I was on the train to Farmingdale, I had a school board meeting to cover for the newspaper after work and hubby could not meet me for dinner before the meeting. When I got into the restaurant they had my order ready for me. The place looked really nice, it looked like it would be worth sitting down for dinner there, and I probably should have done that. Instead I took my order to the school with me and scarfed it down in a hurry in front of a bunch of girl scouts that were getting ready to give a presentation at the meeting. I ate so fast so I didn’t have a lot of time to really savor the taste to give a good accurate description. The Italian bread was soft, it looked like it was toasted in a brick oven pizza. The mozzarella cheese was nicely melted, they put a fair amount on but it wasn’t full of cheese which I tend to enjoy. The eggplant was good but not memorable. I wish they gave me some napkins with my take out order, I had some in my bag but if I didn’t I would have been up an uncivilized creek. Overall I would like to try this place again to update my review and not scarf down my dinner like a frenzied lunatic. That’s not their fault, it’s mine though.
