Really good wings with a variety of sauces and a decent selection of beer. They serve food til late, and also have a good brunch menu on Sundays(which you have to ask for) and $ 2 mimosas. Great place to come on Sundays and watch football, if you can’t get your team on the tv at home.

I dropped in here twice over the last couple of days because they were located next to my hotel. The bartenders were“friendly”. The main reason for the low score is the bar area is understaffed.

Tasty wings! This place has the best wings in west Knoxville. Many different sauces and a great outdoor seating location. The beer selection is nice with a lot of local brews. A great place to go with a group. I will continue going back for sure.

We were seated pretty quickly for a UTK home game and the server was out in a jiffy. They ran out of many beers so we ordered what we could. As we sat there, I noticed the photos on the wall were filthy. I don’t know when the last time they had a good cleaning. Our food was out quickly, but not at all what we ordered, same with the apps. Overall it wasn’t bad but it was just annoying that things were not avaiable and the food was wrong twice.

We & friends visited Wild Wings for Happy Hour(4 – 7) on Friday afternoon and to enjoy some wings, our first visit in quite a while. The wings were tasty & quite a variety, including dry rub. At a previous reviewers suggestion we got the blue cheese dipping sauce; it was very good. The only knock we had was that our server was inattentive… we were there to eat & drink and had to flag him down twice to order more. And he didn’t have a good grasp of the price of their specials or what time it was(can we get another before end of Happy Hour?). After 7 the crowd increased, several double & triple tables. Did notice that several servers brought food & drinks to tables rather than relying on just the original one to do so, a great move to speed up the process. Looking to go back on a Tuesday evening for bluegrass music, food & fun.

I really like this place. It’s fun to sit outside(and I recommend outside when weather permits, the service always seems better) and people watch on game days. Their wings are really good and flavorful. I recommend Slayer, Red Dragon and something«Gold». Large beer selection. Don’t write this place off, give it a shot!

We walked over from our hotel and sat at the bar instead of grabbing a table… Had a few drinks and grabbed an appetizer. I was very pleased with the service that we received from the bartenders. We never went without anything that we needed. After our drinks, we ordered wings to go. The wings apparently took like 20 minutes to come out. I didn’t notice because I was buzzed, but without us saying anything the bartenders told us that because it was taking so long, they would take a couple of our drinks off our tab. I think that they deserve a 4.5 only because the salsa was terrible. It was sweet which we found weird. The wings were awesome as well.

Wild Wings is an alright place to hang out for a chill night out. I am not impressed at all with their food though. I’ve had a few different entrees and I really wouldn’t order anything again.

3.5 stars. More than OK, but not exactly great enough to merit a 4 from me. So last week, I’d been thinking about wings for three days straight, okay? I was dreaming about wings. Doodling pictures of wings when I was on the phone. Looking up wing recipes, which is HILARIOUS because the last time I tried to deep-fry something, I nearly set my entire apartment complex on fire, so I don’t touch hot oil anymore. Anyway, I finally gave in. I was a little nervous because I have very high standards for wings and I didn’t want just your average pizza-chain wings, you know? I’d heard good things about Wild Wing Café, so I got their 25-wing sampler platter to go. Five flavors(out of the roughly HOJILLION that they have to choose from), some celery, and some extraordinarily watery Ranch sauce. Seriously, before I go into the rest of the review, I have to tell you my main beef with this place is the Ranch sauce: it was thin. So thin. It was like Ranch-flavored kool-aid. So that was useless. After doing some research, I hear the Bleu Cheese dressing is MUCH better, so keep that in mind. Onto the actual wings, though. There’s a huge selection of sauces to choose from, which is really tantalizing and that alone will merit a return visit from me, but the ones I chose tasted quite a bit alike, save for some were spicier than others. I got The Slayer, which is very garlicky, The Boss, which is a dry rub wing, Hot, which is self-explanatory, Ragin’ Cajun, which is kind of kicky and, well, Cajun, and Lemon Pepper. They were all fairly tasty but they also all tasted kind of the same! Maybe it’s because the flavors mingled too much by the time I got home? I don’t know. I knew which one was The Boss and which one was Lemon Pepper, but that’s about it. The others just didn’t have varied enough tastes to fully satisfy me — they all just seemed kind of spicy. I mean, they were *good*, don’t get me wrong, but the flavors weren’t very distinguishable. Other than that, the wings themselves were way better than pizza chain wings. They were crispy, loaded with sauce, and just the right amount of greasy. Also, I went through almost all of the 25 wings that evening. I’m not sure why I’m mentioning this in a public forum because it’ll surely come back to shame me. But I did. Anyway, I’ll give this place another try for sure. It could be that I chose the wrong combination of flavors, could be they’re just better in-house(which is more likely), but either way, there were more pros than cons so I’ll be back.

There aren’t a ton of solid places in Knoxville to get wings but Wild Wing is my go to. So delicious but the service is usually hit or miss. The music/football games are usually ridiculously loud but thats kind of what you expect from a wing place. The food makes it worth it. Begin with trio of hot and cold spinach dip and buffalo dip. The hot sauced wings and boneless wings are a great choice. Z loves the slayer wings which are garlicky hot and flavorful. We usually get 10 wings with 2 sauces each and share the steel town spuds– get them with the fries instead of the potato slices. They are literally the best fries on the planet… ranch, cheese, bacon and green onions. DELISH. Also, as another Unilocaler raved — the bloody mary bar on sunday is so much fun! I can’t wait for Wild Wing to open downtown!

So BLUF… 1. BLOODYMARYBAR on Sundays!!! You get a glass w/some ice and vodka and you get to go up and choose the spiciness of your tomato juice, whether want pickles, or pickled okra or celery, horseradish, worchestershire, bacon salt, hot pepper oils… on and on… Do it! 2. And of course the wings! They are cooked perfectly crunchy, NOT over-sauced. I haven’t had a bad flavor yet and I think we’ve had 18 different flavors at this point. 3. it is a really slow wait. Only big down side to me. The food and drinks are perfect but… it can take an unusually long amount of time to get your food or refills. That is really the only down side. It may be a big deal to some people, but I have a lot of patience when I know the Garlic Slayer wings are on their way…

Every Saturday I stop by Wild Wing to get my Jalepeno Cheddar and The Boss wing fix. It’s a staple in my weekend routine. I’ve also discovered the Steel Town Spuds with homemade potato chips covered in cheese and other goodies. Can’t go wrong!

We love Wild Wings and have been coming there since it has opened! I highly recommend the garlic wings, gold rush, ol Smoky, and the ginger. Their pretzels and dip are amazing as well. I love the house chips but not such a fan of the fries. The desserts are amazing as well! I love that they not only have several tvs but almost always have live entertainment and the covered porch. Its super kid friendly as well. Around the holidays they do events for kids like crafts and free food etc. The staff always exceeds expectation. Check out their website for promotions. Like one day is ½ salads, buy one get one on wings another day, etc. Also they almost always have adult drink specials(beer and alcohol). I highly recommend eating here! After all of these years I have never had a bad experience!

Great service, good food, and nice entertainment. The list for wing sauces is huge! I couldn’t decide between all of the fantastic flavors. Luckily, even though they were slammed, my waitress allowed me to pick a few to sample first. She even gave me her recommendations, which I’m thankful for. I absolutely loved one of them! There was a bit of a wait to sit indoors with the live music, but no wait to enjoy the outside seating area.

I’m always nervous when walking into a Wild Wing Café. You either get amazing service and it’s brutal. Fortunately, this location served us well when the petite blonde that came to our table knew the entire menu, every beer on tap and was prompt with service and friendliness. If you are fortunate to enjoy the same service there’s few better places to come for decent food and ample TVs to watch games. As for the food, it’s a grade up from Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters and at par with Twin Peaks. For a sports bar, it’s adequate, fun and inviting with an upbeat atmosphere always on tap. You’ll find hand-padded burgers, good wings, fresh salads and enough alcohol around for you to get through an entire sporting event.

Chicken wing, chicken wing. This is the place to get ‘em(especially on Monday night where you buy 6 and get 6 free). I have been coming to WWC for about 5 years now. Their staff has changed quite a bit over the years with a few old reliables, but with the changes in staff, there are some inconsistencies in service. That has to be expected. That being said, my family is very easy to get along with and we will joke it up with the servers as much as they joke with us. This makes a great relationship with the staff. In general, the wings are top tier. Only a few times over the years have I ever had to send them back because of overcooking or under saucing. Each time I did, however, the manager came out to speak to me personally and apologize and the refired meal was better than average. There are a zillion TV’s all around you, so there isn’t a bad seat in the house, BUT, the music playing over the speaker system can be too loud at times(prompting a complaint to the management) and none of the TVs have captioning on, so unless you are some kind of secret agent level lip reader, you won’t get much value out of the entertainment unless there is an actual game on. That said, they DO have a stage there and frequently have local live artists entertaining in the later hours. The lunchtime wing buffet has changed a bit and I am not sure if I like the new style or not. The old style was order whatever wing flavor you want, 5 at a time, and you also get grilled cheese sandwich, tater tots, and something else all included. The new style is a hot line where they have 5 – 6 flavors of their choosing(constantly being replenished for freshness), nacho chips, spinach queso, chili, tater tots, and a soup du jour. I wasn’t really disappointed, I’m just used to the old way. Sunday brunch is also fairly new and DEFINITELY worth going. If for nothing else than the amazing DIY Bloody Mary bar. It’s got bacon, that’s all I’m going to say. You have to come experience it for yourself, truly. Other than the wings, we have some favorites there. The salads are huge and awesome, they have an outstanding Philly, their wraps are very tasty, and we really enjoyed their burgers(watch out, that onion ring has a KICK!). Their fried pickles and fried mushrooms appetizers are worth it. Outside seating is fantastic. Belly up to the Tiki bar and enjoy some libations with your game(TV’s under cover). Love the lakeside atmosphere. They actually use the lake occasionally for water sports. Unfortunately, as of this review, DOGSARENOLONGERALLOWED at WWC. An unfortunate incident involving a member of the staff has put an end to the doggy patio. Our greyhounds are devastated. All in all a nice sports bar atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating with different attitudes. Very accommodating to large parties. An amazing selection of sauces and good choices for non-wing lovers as well(if there is such a person, I wouldn’t date them, but they can come anyway).

If you’re hankerin’ for chicken wings with just about any imagineable sauce in this universe, Wild Wing Café is your kind of place. Located in a secluded, out-of-the-way place behind several chain hotels(I lived here for almost three years, and only just saw it for the first time a few months ago) it’s hidden locale does not seem to be a hinderance because since my discovery of this place, it has always been packed solid and it doesn’t seem to matter what time of the day or night. Parking is at a premium; with a circular drive parking pattern and no real lot per se, if you don’t grab a close parking spots, you may end up walking about two blocks, But, as long as the weather is good, you can argue that you’re working up an appetite and then after dinner, you can argue that you’re walking it off! It was a pleasant early evening, so I opted to sit outside on the patio that abuts a sizeable lagoon with a large water feature. I am glad that seating was available outdoors, because there were over 300 people inside, participating in a trivia competion and the noise was quite frankly, deafening. My server was great … knowledgeable, attentive and quite pleasant. I had the 20 piece wing plate with two different sauces, a sweet BBQ and a spicy orange dragon oriental sauce, a side of onion rings, a side of cole slaw, a Bourbon Sour and a diet Coke. The onion rings are by far, THEBEST, that I have ever consumed. The chicken wings were perfectly cooked and the sauces on each were superb! The cole slaw was bland and the Bourbon sour was really weak, plus they had just run out of my brand of Bourbon so they had to substitue. On the outside patio is a large full bar and the vibe was upbeat, postive and happening! This is definitely a place for groups and I can guarantee that you’ll have a great time!
