Its not about the bean. BFJ is selling coffee in one of the biggest coffee markets in the world. Do they have good coffee, of course they do or they wouldn’t have dozens of stands all over the Seattle metro area. But is it all about the coffee? Is it if they can make it hot, iced, or blended? No, its not. Its not just about the coffee for anyone that stops on a regular basis like I do. Its about the social interactions, the customer service and the relationships we build. What I like most about my BFJ is not just the fact I get my drink the way I want it every morning without even asking, its about the friendships and the social interaction I get to have. Its about becoming part of the BFJ family and realizing how hard these employees work to make sure they know who you are and what you want. In this town you cant throw a stone without hitting a Starbucks and they know it. The problem is, I can go into the same Starbucks over and over again and they will act like they have never seen me before, even if they do recognize me. People, I am a foodie and someone who really demands good customer service. One aspect that really sticks out at BFJ is the consistency in their customer service. Rain or shine, 5am on a Monday or 5pm on a Friday great customer service that seems to be getting lost from our social and digital interactions in this era is still deeply rooted in the business model at BFJ, and no matter how much we just want the best price, or the best flavor, you can never beat the best service.

The girls here are so nice! Everyone always makes my drink right and also they don’t fill it with ice like starbucks! I think their was only one time where my drink wasn’t too good, but it was just once.

My family and I usually get our coffee from Starbucks but we fell in love with BF Java our very first visit there. The best in variety of choices and the taste in the drinks is way better than Starbucks. The girls at our new location on 320th in Federal Way, day and night shifts are awesome! The service is always friendly and we just love it there. Our new place to get coffee and we just love it!

The morning girls are the best, great customer service. Starbucks doesn’t even compare, good way to start out my day!

Drinks are good but service is so slooooooooow. With limited amount of space for a line to form, these baristas need to pick up the pace or adjust their staffing schedule during peak hours.

This stand has gotten on my nerves lately. Every time I come here I get told something different. I got a loyalty card, was not told I needed to activate it. When I came back next time they said oh you have to activate it and you’ll have a free drink on here. Went back today and no free drink and no points. Was told you don’t earn points until you activate. I’ve spent a long time in line here also(avg 8mins before ordering) even when there is only one car. If there is more than two cars at the stand most of the time I won’t even stop because it will take so long. Unfortunately the setup of the stand also doesn’t allow you to be served in turn. I work at night so going here is convenient but I will be looking for another alternative to Starbucks or just getting coffee at work when I don’t have time to make it at home. They did give my dogs biscuits though which I gave them these stars for.

I love Bigfoot Java! I have been getting my coffee at this location since it opened. I would like to see some other milk alternatives offered, such as hemp milk or oat milk. Especially in light of the drought in California and the fact that 80% of almonds are produced there and this is a very water loving tree.

Their iced white coffee with coconut is amazing! I can’t find it anywhere else. I’ve tried lots of other drinks and smoothies on the menu and they’re all great! Unfortunately, it can get pretty busy there. That’s probably the only negative thing I have to say about Bigfoot.

No more Starbucks for me. This is my favorite coffee stop in my neighborhood. The staff are always friendly, and the coffee is always good(but then I order something very specific, it’s hard to get wrong). I haven’t been in awhile, only because I’m trying to save money, but this is absolutely my go-to coffee stop. Highly recommend!

I like Starbucks. Good, consistent coffee and service. But when I want a little extra kindness in the morning, I go to Big Foot Java. The baristas are all of sunny disposition, even on the rainiest of days. I like the selections and their names, many based on the Sasquatch, whose mythology kept me frightened throughout childhood. Now I just want to see a Yeti – for real. Big Foot Java takes me one step closer to that goal. With whipped cream on top.

The location is kind of out there. I wouldn’t have known this was there if I hadn’t used Unilocal. However I have to met that the location is a great place because it’s hidden and easy to get to. As always their coffee is wonderful. If you haven’t had their white coffee I suggested. Just be prepared has more caffeine in it. I would suggest trying this place if you live in Federal Way and haven’t.

First time here at big foot java in Tacoma, the choices are great, not like Starbucks but that’s okay, it’s cheaper. PLUS! 24 hours! Waited here for almost 20 minutes a little annoyed because there’s only 1 worker. Why only 1? There should be more then 1 worker so everything would move faster. But it is what it is. I prefer more workers on weekends.

Visit was on April 20th both drive up lines were long, waiting for at least 10 minutes maybe 15 just to pull in and find out they did not have my drink available or the supplies to make it. I was very disappointed. I like the blended green apple/caramel jet tea. The stands should stock supplies better. This was not the first stand to do this to me.

Conveniently located and whenever I have a craving for some coffee; I come here. All the ladies here are friendly and will gladly help you narrow down your selection if your undecided. I have to say that I question either the quality or strength of their coffee because I find that the coffee is rather weak. Or maybe it just depends on who’s making at that moment? The only time I can honestly say I’ve really loved my coffee drinks is if I’ve added a flavored syrup to it like hazelnut. One of my favorites is the Abominable White Mocha with a shot of hazelnut for extra sweetness, Nutty Yeti is pretty weak in my opinion, Berry and the Beast is VERYSWEET if your into that kind of thing! Overall I still come here because it’s so close to where I live and they are open 24 hours!

The coffee here is just pathetic. After a mouthful I asked the girl to replace my Americano by something which had«coffee flavor» and she offered to add some flavored syrupy stuff. They have lots of that, and that would be fine if that was what somebody wanted. Toffee, mint, strawberry, Frufru, et cetera. I didn’t want that. I just wanted a coffee flavored drink. I said as much to her, politely. Then she offered an extra shot of espresso, the base of what they use for the drink. I saw her use fresh grounds and run steam through it and pour the stuff into my cup. There was no change in flavor. It was bland, weak, underwhelming. I asked whether they had different beans, meaning tastier beans. She said no. They use the same grounds for everything. So this business uses the cheapest godawful grounds to produce something so disappointing. Here, in the one US state with the headquarters for companies with so much good coffee, this coffee stand out in the boondocks of Federal Way misses a terrific opportunity to sell memorable drinks. I was reminded of the feeling you have when you tell yourself, «Motel foyer coffee will be ok, just this once.» Motel foyer coffee is bad but it has more flavor than here. You grin and bear it, rather than grin after having enjoyed it.

Really nice coffee shop in Federal Way. The drive through has a window on each side of the building so they can serve multiple cars at a time. I can’t recall the names of the drinks I had but they were part of the menu. Really good. My husband and I made several visits for their coffee drinks during our recent visit to Washington.

24 hours a day and always great service. The regular drinks are just okay but the specialty stuff is great and I appreciate the options. They also have huge cups for the blended and iced drinks, which is so nice when I am heading out on a road trip for work.
