Del Taco

I think I’ve had Del Taco once before when I was in Arizona, but that was a long time ago. I was looking for food spots nearby and saw one here in Federal Way, WA. I figured I’d check it out. I ended up trying the Epic Chicken Chipotle Ranch burrito meal — decent size and taste, but rand me just over $ 9. Given that I can go to Chipotle and get a similar burrito with healthier, fresher ingredients, I wouldn’t go out of my way for that kind of meal there. However, there are plenty of smaller taco-​style options that might be worth a quick grab. I would have really enjoyed Del Taco had it been a tad cheaper AND the drive-​thru order been a bit quicker (waited for roughly 5 minutes AT the window after ordering).
If you like Mexican-​style fast food but despise Taco Bell, Del Taco is worth looking into. They even have select seafood options to throw into tacos/​burritos — something I haven’t seen at Taco Bell.

Having worked in food service, I have the utmost respect for this type of work. I’m a customer who rarely complains, even if my order is wrong. This employee didn’t have any customer service, didn’t say hello, goodbye, nothing and worst of all he handled my money and his headset and reached into the fries and ate one (no gloves) and then with the same hand reach into a container of what looked like chocolate chips and grabbed a handful and ate those too! Right in front of me at the druve-​thru! That really makes me wonder what else he grazes on throughout the day without gloves, touching his mouth (and money), and going back in for seconds. This was super disgusting and totally not okay. I was really hoping that Del Taco would’ve been better than that. :(according to my receipt his name is Marcus and works at the Federal Way store. Yikes. Sorry to put you «on blast» bro, but you can’t do that. It’s against health violations guaranteed. :/​
BTW, I’ve included a picture of my «crispy chicken taco» which is broken, soggy, and the wrong chicken. Dang, I really liked Del Taco, too.

I normally really like this place. It is to bad they are now serving almost empty tacos. If they are not going to give me my money’s worth it will be a while before I go back. I wish they would bring back the macho taco and do a better job cleaning tables off.

Surprisingly clean for a fast food spot.
The gals who worked here were friendly and prompt.
Food came out after a couple minutes and tasted just as expected.
All in all, I would choose Del taco over ANY other Mexican fast food. It just seems more… fresh.

Its on par with other Del Tacos. Ive never been inside. Only at the Drive Thru. The line moves quickly and the food is delicious.

Compared to other fast food «Mexican» restaurants, I really like this place, better than Taco Bell and Taco Time, though it’s pretty hard to beat Taco Time’s Mexi-​Fries. Their food is tasty, there’s a lot of variety on the menu, and better prices aren’t too bad for the size of the burritos. They don’t have good value menu items, and I think their tacos are pretty good for the low price.

Where can you get a chicken soft taco for $ 1? Del Taco! Great value for the money. Also, get green sauce on your burritos. It full of flavor and is not very spicy.

I loved Del Taco when I was in Cali and this place is just like it. It is fast food so you can’t say it is 5 stars. Sorry. But it is Del Taco and it is what it is. The fact that I can get crinkle cut fries and some stupid good, little, dirty, fast food tacos… love it!!!

The service and the food has slid downhill a bit. I still like going here once in awhile, but the last few visits have been a disappointment with the most recent one a bomb.
With only 3 cars ahead of me in the drive thru, it took 15 minutes to get to the pick up window and another 5 minutes for my food. The team leader was working the drive thru, and he apologized for the wait.
I got the epic steak and guac burrito, and half of it was old french fries stuffed inside. Gross. I looked up the menu online and saw that fries are supposed to come with it, but not be half of the burrito and obviously not old, cold ones. It was also supposed to have sour cream which it didn’t have.
The people that worked here use to be friendly and fast. The friendliness is also gone.

Seriously I love del taco. I lived in San Diego and was right down the street so naturally I went all the time. My friend has lived in Washington for over a year and never knew there was A Del Taco here, so I made them drive to federal way to see for them selves. Amanda made our del taco mission absolutely perfect, I can’t thank her enough for how awesome she was to us. The whole staff was great, the food was on point and amazing. Thanks again Amanda and del taco for that perfect experience and tacos.

Have always LOVED Del Taco !!! Really nice location ! We would LOVE to have one closed to FT Lewis !!! By the way, this place offers a Military discount. Nice touch.
