Hobby Lobby

Evening of 6÷13÷16: Rude staff member. We were grabbing a couple things 30+ minutes before closing and a staff member that was mopping sarcastically asked if we were ok and said that she’d like to get out of there sometime soon. She then proceeded to passive aggressively push her mop slowly past the couple aisles we went in while glaring at us. There were about 20 people in line checking out after us, so not sure why she chose us to pick on as we were hardly holding the store up and out before 8. You should never intentionally make your customers feel uncomfortable. One star because the woman at the register was very sweet & friendly. Unfortunately I won’t be returning to this location.

How is this place not rated better!!! Sooo many home decorations that are super cute and affordable with their 40% app coupon!

Unilocal says its open on sunday, came here 40 min drive and it says sundays closed!!! Not sure if Unilocal responsibility to provide accurate info or the store provided wrong info!!!

WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! Was getting a photo book for a co-​worker and one for myself. Had a coupon for each one and rang them up separately. They wouldn’t honor the second coupon even though I explained it was for a co-​worker. So much for reducing the carbon footprint by shopping for a coworker.

Eric and Michelle did an outstanding job with my framing. The price here is a lot better than JoAnn’s. (I think I was enabling a dope habit at JoAnn’s.) I’ll be back here when I get my next map.

Way to far if you travel from Bellevue.
The price is quite good down here though. This store is pretty big. Ever since I know about them, I stop going to Michael’s. If you live in Renton or further down, best to go here for the price and choices.

Good location in Federal Way, and its easy to get in and out of, this Hobby Lobby is pretty much like most of the rest of them in regards what they offer, pretty much everything you might want– including stamp and coin stuff.
The staff here is very friend, and prompt, so have no problems recommending this store :)

It’s too bad this store has the best craft selection. There’s a guy (the same guy) who works here that follows me around every time I go so I end up leaving without buying anything. Bummer! It’s really weird and they should probably address it … I don’t want to say anything in case this weirdo figures out its me and I can never go back! Although I’m probably not going to go back anyway — internet shopping here I come! Leave me alone creepy hobby lobby man!

Amazing Store, awesome employees, helpful, creative and friendly. I had three employees looking for one item, they were out at the Federal Way store, they picked it up form another store for me.
The employees go out of there way to assist you with your every need.

Pleasantly surprised by the large assortment, helpful staff and low prices. Wanted to hate this place for their views that they try to impose on others. Won’t be a regular but would come back again.

If you care anything about women, don’t shop here. They pay for vasectomies and Viagra but refuse to pay for birth control for women. And most of their clientele are women.

I went to Hobby Lobby often when I lived in Utah. When I learned they were building stores in WA, I was so excited, I drove my car literally up the sidewalk to the front doors to find out opening day.
This place has everything you want for every hobby and craft on the planet with a wide selection. Their website sucks but the stores are fantastic. They always have the most superb selection of items during Christmas, including ornaments as big as your head and those huge red velvet bows for cars you see in commercials.
They also have a lot of things to decorate your home and many useful items for planning and decorating for a party or wedding. I have recently bought two matching end table lamps for $ 10 each.
I am an artist — I paint, make/​sell handmade cards, scrapbook, and am a writer. I get all of my canvas and painting supplies from here. I buy all of my paper, cardstock, punches, etc. for cards and scrapbooking here. They also have framing services here, which I’ve used for my personal art and for business purposes too. They will frame something on the spot for me in 1 hour or less if it’s priceless and I shop around while I wait. Otherwise I can come back in a week to pick it up. I also paint unfinished wood and sometimes like to do those pre-​carved wood items for the holidays. They are very hard to find in any other craft store, but they sell them here.
They always have sales, and if you download their app for your phone, you get a 40% coupon to use anytime on anything in the store. Also, if you buy something at one store you can return it another one of their stores.
The only cons I have for this chain is that they close at 8 PM instead of the universal 9 PM in all other retail and they are closed on Sundays.

I was very disappointed with this place when it opened. I looked forward to a hobby store (by my definition — it is their name) and not another Michael s or Joann’s.
They have virtually no trains, small selection of models, etc. Lots of furniture and stuff — should be called «Furniture and some Hobby Lobby»

They have everything you could ask for. Great for families and anyone with a hobby…

Very happy with this place! I’ve been here before and was happily overwhelmed by all the fun things they have to look at! I brought my MIL to see if they had what she needed and they did which was great but the even better part is that I am 7 mo preggo dealing w/​sciatica and while sitting on a low floor rack a manager came by to see if I was ok. After telling her I was fine just dealing w the above she told me that I could sit in the classroom which is more comfortable and even helped me up and to the room. While waiting for my MIL a store associate and the manager came by at separate times and asked if everything was ok and if I needed anything. That is great customer service and has made me a huge fan of this place!

I love this store. Its huge and has so many craft things and ideas. So much range of stuff too. Lots of silk/​fake flowers. Mirrors, Photo frames, christmas stuff (in july fyi) baking stuff, scrapbook. list goes on. Lots of nick nacks that you never knew you needed.
I love how things are organized by color. I got some great deals on baskets that were 50% off… then they went back up in price a month later which wasn’t a great deal at all.. ..
Look for the deals, cause when they’re there, they have great ones.
UPDATING my review and knocked off a star for bad check out experience. Long lines and 2 checkers opened up. They did not take the next person in line who was waiting the longest (myself and my baby)… But took other people. And weird thing was, a customer rushed into the newly opened check stand and the cashier said (and looked in my direction) «I’m taking her first, she’s next» …I replied with «me?»
She stated «no. The lady behind you»… What? !!!
I would of gone off but my baby was actually behaving and I had no where to be.. But I was actually in that line a very long time due to a price check gone wrong. Even the lady whom the price check was for said «man, you can’t catch a break» and the cashier apologized …

I think Pinterest has a big hand in Hobby Lobby’s success these days and this is with very good reason.
So what’s the big deal, you ask? Well to put it bluntly, Hobby Lobby is like Michael’s and Jo Ann’s combined, on crack. Awesome selection of quality flowers (and I’m not a fan of the fake kind — that’s how good these are), tons of arts and crafts stuff for about every interest, and to top it all off everything is so spotless that even the biggest neat freak will be impressed.
The prices are about average with some stuff below average and others a little above. I was a little miffed with a couple of the signs saying that some items were 50% off every day (c’mon now, please treat your customers like intelligent human beings and stop tricking them into thinking stuff is on sale!). But all in all the prices seem fair and their sales and offers are great.
This is now one of my favorite stores and I am sure I will be returning a lot over the next few years to pick up supplies for projects for the house and with my kids. Nice job Hobby Lobby!

I have an update to add! Remember how I said I found some paintings I loved back when this place first opened? Well it turned out one of those paintings had a huge white streak in it that I didn’t notice until (of course) it had been put on the wall. This wouldn’t really be an issue except that my husband cut out part of the back to get the painting to sit flush against the wall. So we took the painting back up to HL not expecting much (I mean technically we were trying to return goods we damaged) but imagine our surprise when the manager on duty said yes, go ahead and return it. AWESOME. I will so totally be back.

well then you have HOBBY LOBBY and it’s like interior design city!
The entire front of the store is this awesome display of chairs, tables, candle holders, food stools, drawers, frames, wall décor, mirrors, glass displays, etc. If you’re looking for some INTERESTING DECORATION I would definitely give this place a go. It’s also in a nice location next to Costco. Plenty of parking and the employees are super friendly and helpful.

The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the way the store is set up is quite annoying because its a lot of repeat items all over and is merchandised weird.
