One of my most favorite places to eat! Thank goodness this place is far from us because I’d go broke from eating here all the time. If the service was better I’d rate it 5 stars

This place varies wildly on the experience. I actually stopped going here for a few years because we had 3 bad experiences in a row. They forgot food(all three times) the food was cool when it came. I tried again this last week and had a great experience. Food was good, they didnt’ forget anything, and I love the tables. I will return and hope for a good experience. If so, I may go more often. It is the closest Thai place to my house and when the food is warm it is good.

Love this place, my favorite lunch stop. Fresh spring rolls and the chicken sauté is my fav. I go 1 – 2 times a week, it’s very consistent quality

This place is so good! We ordered the beef and broccoli, walnut prawns, paanang and we can’t quit talking about how good it was! Fresh and just super yummy! Three stars for heat was perfect!

The most wonderful food ever. we will drive all the way from Orting and travel 167 just to come here(I’m sure everyone knows how much I want there food now!) Pad Thai, Shrimp in a nest, and fresh spring rolls are our typical orders. to go too! Only 4 stars because ambiance and décor could be better. invest in some new curtains and table clothes that would be a great start.

This is going to be the most lengthy review I have ever written. Bare with me and if you as the owner read this please take this as constructive criticism. The main reason for this extensive review is for one main reason, this is the first Thai restaurant I have EVER been to, 12years ago. This is where I began my love for Thai. So, let’s be honest… This place has gone down drastically. I spent 8 years living in Bellevue and tonight was the first night in 8 years I returned after I moved back to the south side. I can’t believe I saw the two gals that I saw years ago still running this place. This place was the start of my favorite category food, they catered for my dad’s wedding, was my grandmas favorite. I don’t really know where to begin… But I guess i start with the entrance. This place is not welcoming at all. It feels actually as if they are closing down. The lights are dim but not as in date night but as in cheap/no light bulbs. No one is really stationed at the host stand but they kinda see you eventually and linger your way. Nice they still have those elephant seats though. The man sitting me was kind and short. As in conversation, not height. I felt they had no lightning. No welcoming feeling. This place is so big and has the design and furniture and has such great potential to be an amazing place to have dinner at. The servers were nice and the only reason I give two starts instead of one. While waiting for my food the elderly lady prepping the food looked so mean! I mean I can see into the whole kitchen and it looks so dull. No loud wok pan or chefs running around. One cook blandly cooking while ms. Grumpy looked out every 20seconds to scowl at customers. I felt so uncomfortable. Not only because she looked so disappointed in her life but to see a kitchen so lost, no soul. It wasn’t always like that. My food came and man was I so disappointed. I can’t believe I waited so long to come back to this place and taste what I tasted tonight. I ordered gang curry and ordered my daughter the phad Thai and a side of white rice. The rice was so stale! Felt like such a cheap quality rice. I am completely honest when I say that tonight I tried the worst Thai food of my life. I am so sad saying this because like I mentioned above this place is where I began my love for it all!!! The phad Thai has a strange taste to it. More like a microwave meal you get from the store. Dry and flavorless. The curry was the worst curry I’ve ever eaten. The beef was more like ground beef. Such bad quality. You could barely taste coconut in the curry. It wasn’t smooth. More clumpy. The veggies tastes freezer burned. Only upside was generous portions. Not worth it though. I paid for a 15 curry and 11 phad Thai. What was I thinking? Bai tong is even cheaper then that. I can honestly say it was so bad I won’t be returning for a second shot. The food is so off it’s not just a bad cook day it’s just a bad day every day. For a Friday night I couldn’t believe how slow it was. It used to be so packed. These people have such a great space! Huge kitchen! 3 sections to the restaurant and 2 bars! Why are they wasting this??? Seriously need to rethink what they are doing. Put some love into this place. Some attention. The quality of ingredients you are providing is so not worth what you are charging. Wish them the best in there journey but this has officially been put on my do not return list. UPDATE: not same review. Go to indochine in Tacoma,. The owners are the owns who used to own this place.

Not the same under new ownership — we’ve given them a few tries since they changed from Indochine to Indochina — but won’t be going back. Have had better Thai in mall food courts.

I’ve come here for 15 years, and the quality is always excellent. I’ve tried many other Thai restaurants, but none can compare to my favorite Indochine dishes. In particular, the Penang curry and spicy eggplant are incredible, and the fresh spring rolls are the best you will ever have. The other curries are also good, as are most of the noodle dishes I’ve tasted. It has gone up in price, but the quantities are very large, and you can easily split dishes among people, and still have leftovers. My family of 4 typically ordered 3 dishes and spring rolls along with rice and spent about 10 – 12 per person(and I eat a LOT). The manager likes to check in and see how your table is doing, and remembers repeat customers. He’ll occasionally bring us out a dessert to try.

Their food is good, but it is on the pricier side. Not sure if the food is worth the price… but I do really like their spring rolls, probably my favorite spring rolls that I’ve had so far.

I was pretty excited to try a new Thai place, I love thai! A friend recommended Indochine so I guess I had high hopes. But most were not met. I liked the parking in the back. The front bar part, while vacant, could be nice for large parties/get togethers. The décor was great, cool and clean. I liked the size. Full bar. There are tables that are up on steps and you can sit on a pillow and pull drapes around for privacy. Super cool! The service was nice too. The food was where the disappointments lie. Since we were excited to try a new-to us-place, we ordered A LOT of food.(Who doesn’t love Thai leftovers!?) Well nothing was really worth saving; most didn’t even get eaten. I know some other reviews raved about the fresh rolls, I had the chicken and shrimp ones. The chicken was a lot like the ground larbb salad chicken which isn’t my favorite. While I usually enjoy peanut/bean or sweet chili sauce with fresh rolls, this was a vinegary-fish sauce. I do like fish sauce but this was a little unbalanced for me. I also ordered pangang curry.(If you want to be blown away by pangang curry go to Phở Thai across the street) this has almost no spice to it. Very bland, creamy yes, but very little flavor. The caramelized ginger and chili chicken, supposedly with a delicious chili sauce(I live for good chili sauce) was again very bland and flavorless. I didn’t get a lot of ginger or chili. It seemed like the veggies and chicken were cooked with a little oil and the left over juices were«the sauce». And the big give away that let us down. Was the BF didn’t even finish his pad Thai. Too much pad and not enough that he said. Very flavorless and mostly dry noodles. He ordered dominos later. To recap, nothing was bad. But nothing was worth coming back for sadly. I was really excited initially but there is amazing Thai food across the street and Bankok Thai, and that’s were will be.

2 stars is generous. NOLONGER Indochine… Now called Indochina. Seems to be family run, but run badly! What used to be a lovely lit we’ll decorated restaurant is now badly lit with cheap fluorescent bulbs and dingy bare walls. The only thing left before are the 300 pound elephant chairs. Gas fireplace and raised pit tables that now look… Pitty… I wouldn’t want my feet in there. Showed up with a party of 10. We were the first there in order to get a drink in the bar… But the bar area is used for storage… So we sat in front of the fireplace to get a drink… But no one came over… Even as more people arrive no interest in helping us… By the time everyone arrived, we figured we’d have more luck at the table… Went to a long table(which I hate… Why can’t there be round tables ?). We sat down and ordered drinks… The came out slowly and sporadically. I ordered a sake and beer… And had to ask for the beer 4 times. Ordered Pad Tai and my wife ordered salad and spring rolls. My wife has a severe MSG aversion, but they couldn’t guarantee no MSG is the dressing since they don’t make it… Bad sign. The pad tai was fair and she liked her spring rolls and salad, but the feeling around the room was that the evening was a mistake! Food appeared at odd times, and although the staff tried, they failed. Nice enough, but not effective . Bills finally came .they don’t take AMEX which is odd for a restaurant . Left and WONT come back

I LOVELOVELOVE their fresh spring rolls. I hold all spring rolls to these. They have set the standard. I go here all the time for the past 11 years and its always been the same. Great Service, great food, good portions, etc. Honestly I cant think of one neg thing about this place. except for the entrance. Whats up with the first room/bar thingy. I only see folks in there once in a blue moon. If your in the mood for Thai. GOHERE. Seriously everything is good.

Huge portions. Low quality ingredients. Warm beer. MSG, probably. The green curry was decent though. The other stuff, not so much.

Very dark and sultry inside. Almost walked right past it cause it looked closed. As a single diner, it irritates me when the host assumes he can shuffle me off to the bar area without asking. Mannys pale ale was Excellent. Firecracker fried spring roll. Excellent. Went for the pad Thai with chicken. This should be a dish they nail every time. Unfortunately the chicken was dried out and flavorless. Overall good experience but the entrée was not up to standard. They have a diverse menu and ill try something else next time and adjust rating accordingly.

I think this place is better at the non-classic dishes rather than being known for your typical pad Thai. I’m giving it a 3 because I’m never disappointed but I’m never super thrilled afterwards. I think the nice staff and clean environment makes it more enjoyable to come here. The prices are a little higher than your typical Thai place but portions are adequate for the price. Everything I’ve ate here has been enjoyable maybe not the best Thai in my life but enough for me to come back time and time again.

I have been here twice within the last 8 months and both times were disappointing. The first was my birthday dinner with a large group, the food was gross and no one was satisfied. The other time was 2 days ago, I went for lunch and ordered the Burmese noodles with tofu. You can’t go wrong with peanut sauce and wide rice noodles. the food tasted great the Thai iced tea was small for $ 3.50. Immediately after leaving I had a killer headache and knew I had consumed MSG. Yes they use MSG. Either they use a lot of it or a potent solution but I felt sick all afternoon. Headache and unending thirst. Will never return or give this place another chance. DONOTGOIFYOUARESENSITIVETOMSG.

Love the panang curry! The pad thai and fresh rolls are consistently good too. Wish the price was a little lower though. There’s an area in the back of the restaurant that’s great for big groups. The service is good on days they aren’t understaffed. On my last visit here, our waitress seemed overwhelmed that night because it took forever to get her attention, and she kept forgetting to bring us what we’d ask for.

I’ve been to this place a couple of times a few years back and didn’t think too much of how great their food was until today! I love Thai food. Lately for my pad thai cravings I’ve been going to Thai Bistro(which is also a pretty good eatery). But now I can come to Indochine for some really good pad thai and pangang curry too! My sister and I were seated in the«tented» area. It was a fun/different experience. We shared the chicken pad thai and pangang curry. The portions were grand. The food overall wasn’t too salty or too sweet. My curry had good texture, in which case it wasn’t too runny or too thick. Wow, I sound like Goldilocks… Anyway, I definitely will be coming back here a lot more often! Overall– the food here is great!
