Lisa and her husband who is the Chef are the new owners of this restaurant and are wonderful!!! They have redone the interior and the SERVICEIS5STAR now!!! The food is wonderful the same chef for over 25 years but now the owner. BEST Chinese in town and we have tried them all! They are the only ones who stay true to the menu. Thanks Diane and Bill Weber

They’ve really turned the place around from the disappointment it used to be less than a year ago. The staff is now very attentive and friendly, if a little outwardly stressed at times. They even give complementary hot tea while you wait for your take-out order. The food is excellent — if not better. I’ve been coming here for decades, since I was a child, and it’s a relief to see the place return to it’s former glory. Now that the previous owner retired and sold it to the chef and his wife, this place really does feel like a «New» Peking Wok.

This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant, but now it’s just absolutely awful. The food used to have flavor, but everything is just bland now. I ordered a combination dinner for one, to go. They did not even give any utensils — no napkins, fork, or spoon– you know, all of the necessities. I got about as much food as you would from Safeway and about the same quality, except Safeway charges a third of the price. There were maybe 3 pieces of pork in the sweet and sour pork, the rest vegetables. The fried rice had no flavor, and didn’t have much meat either. The chow mein was also flavorless and was really just a mixture of noodle and sprouts. The Mongolian beef didn’t have much beef, and was also pretty flavorless and didn’t taste like any Mongolian beef I’ve ever had — completely different ingredients. I was very disappointed. I threw all of the chow mein and Mongolian beef away. I only ate the rest because I was hungry. Portions have gotten a lot smaller, and they’re not putting as much meat into the dishes — not sure why, because that’s what I thought I was paying for. I won’t ever come back again. It feels like they’re trying to cut costs, but this is the wrong way to go about it. You’re cutting down so much that I don’t want to pay for it and will take my business elsewhere. The old Peking Wok won so many awards because the food quality was great and the quantity was awesome as well. This new peking wok is awful. I would not recommend it!

I have to say I was exited that they went under new management as it is the closest chineese food resraunt. I want for there lunch special because it sounded like a great deal. The fried rice was bland with little to no flavor. The wonton soup was near flavorless. The Mongolian beef was yummy and the best part of the special still have had better other places, the«appetizer» that is supposed to be included was a cunk of fried zucchini and onyon. I also orders the lemon chicken appetizer and expected a yummy chicken dish it was just the fried part of sweet and sour chicken with lemon slices. Overall very dissapointed.

Very good food and services ! and heard that they are under new management, Wish they can keep it up. I ordered mooshu pork and mongolian beef. The mooshu pan cake was fresh like i have never had before. The beef was tendon and tasty. Strong suggested and will go again !

Is now called New Peking Wok and is under new ownership. We were seated and our order was taken promptly. I ordered an individual combination plate and my wife ordered an appetizer of bbq pork. The soup was served first and was a larger bowl than most places serve. It was good but could have used more salt and vegis in it. Not long after that the meal came. The almond chicken was very good as was the chow mein. It also came with fried rice sweet and sour pork and cheese fried wonton. The only thing I didn’t care fore was the sweet and sour sauce which was a fluorescent orange color and not very flavorful. We enjoyed our meal over all and will go back again.

My mom placed an order for pick up and gave her my name, as they always ask. When I got there I gave the«hostess» my name to get my order. She even said to me «your mom called.» and quickly spit out the order. So she gets my order I pay and go on my way. When home we open our food to find it’s not ours. Called Peking Wok to see what happened. All Hell Breaks Loose! Peking Wok blamed me for not checking the order(note they double knot the bag) and that I said that was«my» order. All I said was my name. They did say they would make our order correct, if we’re willing to pay for that food as well. Umm yeah sure take all my money!.. NO! Well you can drive back and pay for it. We decide to go knowing we would not give them another dime. When we arrived we got to argue about how it was our fault and we owed more money for this order. so you want $ 47 for fried rice & cheese wontons? We finally got it, after basically not willing to budge, and they didn’t want to cause a scene in front of their one customer. As we left a farewell«Asshole» called out to us. When questioned if just called us this, the«hostess» then blamed that one customer. HORRIBLE!

Come Back! It’s very good again! I have come here for years and have always liked the quality of my favorite foods that I always order. In the past few years I have shared the concerns of some of the other reviewers regarding the cleanliness and the eccentricities of some staff. I went back again recently and not only are my favorite dishes still very tasty, the restaurant is well lit, the cashier area is uncluttered, the restrooms are clean, and the staff were all very pleasant and eager to serve. I will come again and I’m happy to have the great food served in a clean efficient environment like it used to be!

I think the food here is great anytime we’ve called for a pickup they always prepared the food in the time they said it would take, my food has never been cold when I got it and I like that it comes with soy sauce and I like that they put the fortune cookie in a little bag. I have not been inside for a few years but anytime I went the service was awesome the waitresses were friendly the tea was always nice and hot and anytime I asked for chopsticks they would give them to me. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time after ordering we didn’t have to wait for a long time for our food. It’s a very small place but I’ve always enjoyed this restaurant. I highly recommend the beef with broccoli dish with steamed rice. Put a little soy sauce on the dish and it’s a great combo with the sweet but not too sweet sauce they put on the dish, just don’t put too much soy sauce on it.

New to the area and we thought about eating here a couple of times but decided on other restaurants in the past. We went by at odd hours so I didn’t think anything was wrong when we saw either very few people in the restaurant or none at all. Well, now I know why. The food here is not good! Spongy orange chicken was definitely thawed not freshly made, the mooshu beef was almost vegetarian, and the curried rice noodles were just disappointing to say the least. I could have saved my money and gone to a Panda Express and the food would have been 10x better. Over priced, bad Chinese food… never again.

Worst chinese food ive had. Spent $ 55.00 on garbage. First the chicken lo mein, i swear it was just top ramen with veggies and chicken. WAY too salty. Second the Mongolian beef, it had zero flavor and was just a brown mush. Third the egg rols, no filling, and really dry. Next the pot stickers they were full of bad meat. The chewy end bits you can barley swallow down. And last… the general tsos chicken. It was okay… maybe because it was the most flavorful thing i got. It was VERY spicy. And i like hot… but it had me sweating. Best thing i got was the rice! Haha

The Mapo tofu is very good, cheese wonton are fried and crispy, I liked the hot and sour soup, it’s edible, the only thing I’m disappointed by is we ordered the beef lo mien and we got beef top ramen. I will be posting a picture; not satisfied. Be aware, if u want lo mien, chances are you will get top ramen.

Both expensive and not tasty. It’s everything you’d expect from«bad Chinese takeout» without any of the satisfaction. Came here with family only to be disappointed. We ordered the«crispy chow mein,» general tsos chicken, and fried hot and sour fish. The chow mein didn’t have any noodles in it. Instead, it was topped with the deep fried wonton soup toppings you see on the side at Chinese buffets. Wut. Strangely enough, this was actually the best dish, as it was barely palatable. The General tsos chicken was terrible. I know it’s not an authentic Chinese dish, but I usually enjoy it nevertheless, even ones that aren’t that good. This one, not at all. The oil they used to cook it in was clearly old, you could smell it easily. There was no fry/crispiness to the outside of the chicken pieces either. Flavor lacked any kind of depth profile. The fish… Small balls of fresh deep fried in some breading. We asked for the sauce on the side which they were able to do. The fish was super mushy and the breading was soaked in oil. The sauce was very much«meh» as well. It was a really light… something that I couldn’t tell what the flavor was All the dishes had a lot of bamboo shoots, onions, and/or water chestnuts as fillers. White rice comes with the dishes, so that’s good. However, ours was pretty dry, the kind you deliberately cooked drier to make fried rice with. For three dishes, our bill was over $ 40. It would be justifiable if the food was good, but alas it was far from it. My parents chose to come here because they’ve had good experiences here in the past, but we’re left wondering if the owner or cooks changed since they were here. I wouldn’t even consider coming back.

Been coming here since my mom was pregnant with me, 21+ years ago! This is still my go to for Chinese food in all of Washington. Ive moved to Kent, and live walking distance to two chinese restaurants and still will make the trek out here because I feel the food is so much better. Tofu with Double Winter Delights and Almond or Governors Chicken are my favorites. The owner, Jenny, is a real sweetheart and always makes us feel welcome.

Been coming here for years… been about a year ago since the last time… Walked in and had to wait a few minutes since there was no one at the hostess station… which was a mess btw. Was with a part of 4, and was seated at a table for 5… No table cloth… just bare wood table… Ick! No tea was offered, and when we asked, we were told«No Tea, all pots are dirty» huh? Looked around, and the place now looks unmaintained and dingy… Untouched for months or years… I can’t figure out why they have a bar area, but use it as storage? Huh? Ordered the lunch menu and when soup finally arrived, we were thrown the forks and napkins… and had to ask for spoons… We all ordered the Hot and Sour soup and it was decent… Finished the soup, but it took another 10 minutes or so for the first 2 plates to arrive and another 5 for other 2 to arrive… Food was good, but service was extremely surly. The 2 waitresses were fighting and yelling at each other across the restaurant… and we noticed some people had tea, but we didn’t… even though we explicitly asked. We weren’t finished but they were quick at dropping/throwing the bill at us… I would like to give them a Fortune Cookie translated as «Shape Up or Shut Down» My boss paid the bill… IF I did, I would give a tip of mayyybeee 8 to 10%… equivalent to «Participant»

Barely a two star experience. If Unilocal gave us half-stars, I’d drop these guys to 1+. The hour-long wait for delivery on a weeknight was enough of a bummer. Ordering three entrees and having them forget one, and get another wrong, was strike two. The one dish we DID order — the Orange Beef — was decent enough, but the breading on the beef had turned to mush… probably because it had been sitting in the container for so long, waiting for the trip to our house. The remaining food was mediocre, at best. The other dish they sent was something of a mystery — it wasn’t General Tso’s chicken, that’s for sure. It might have been sweet and sour pork, but the meat nuggets were so overcooked and dry it was hard to tell what its origins were, exactly. The sauce was red, but lacked any real distinguishing flavor. It had some green peppers in it, but that was all I could positively identify. The eggrolls and fried wonton were cold by the time we got them. The only upside was that they didn’t charge me for the dish they didn’t deliver. I still forked out over $ 40 with tip for two entrees with rice, some small fried wontons, two eggrolls and an hour wait. Not a winner in my book at all.
