Nice little place. Had the spicy ramen and sushi. Both were good. Will have to try their delivery option one of these days. They close at 9pm which is a bit odd.

If you’re looking for a local sushi restaurant that makes the sushi fresh for you instead of conveyor belt sushi then this is place to go!

Really fresh sushi, and their sushi rice is AMAZING. I could eat bowl after bowl of it. The inside is very clean with a calm atmosphere and the customer service is very friendly. They have tons more options than sushi so it’s a great place to take anyone. Try their tempura icecream while you’re there!

This was our first time eating from here, and I’m not sure we’ll be back. We ordered online, and had it delivered, no charge. That was the best part of the whole experience. We ordered a variety of items, Beef Teriyaki, Chicken Yakisoba, Chicken Katsu, Gyoza, Crunchy Kent Roll, and the Green River Roll. Everything was super bland. Literally, none of the food had flavor. Oh, except the Chicken Katsu, I can’t review that because they overall forgot it. We had high hopes for this place since so many people talked very highly about it. But we were very disappointed. I’ve heard they have«the best Ramen in Federal Way.» I’ve never had Ramen before, but my boyfriend loves it. So maybe I’ll send him over to try that and see how it is. But until then, I’ll keep looking for a decent sushi restaurant in FW. Or I’ll just make the trip to Blue C in Southcenter.

Food at this place looks good in it’s pictures and it even looks good when you get it home in the container but when you taste it, it Lacks flavor and taste for that matter altogether, but enjoy your beautiful looking tasteless food! We have the beef teriyaki and the beef yakisoba

I have ate at so many sushi places here in Washington and not even Trappers comes close to the quality and taste from here. I will not go to another sushi spot after going here. I ate sushi probably 3 to 4 times a week from various restaurants all over Oahu for 2 years and this place is the closest you will get to freshness and quality of fish. It is pricey but I respect that. If you are only paying 5 dollars for a gigantic roll you are clearly not getting quality and fresh sushi.

My favorite sushi spot in wa so far. Customer service is outstanding! James the sushi chef is amazing. Fresh seafood, high quality sushi at a very reasonable price(compared to other sushi spots). You will be in foodie heaven. Love the remodel. Its a cozy sushi spot. Look out for their happy hour specials in the near future. I bring all my friends and family here.

The sushi and service is great, but the only problem I have is that the sushi is so expensive compared to the size. I had three rolls and already the price was $ 30. I ended up going to get something else afterwards because I didn’t want to spend so much money on the little proportions. Quality of the sushi is definetely better then alot of places I’ve tried, which is why I have them 4 stars.

Wanted sushi so we tried this place down the street. Overall taste was okay but the portions were super small for the price. This plate cost 30.00. I would not recommend it due to portions. Customer service was good but place was empty

I was working out in Federal Way and I noticed this place does online ordering through Unilocal.I decided to give it a try as I was hungry and was tired of going to either fast food or Panera Bread. I ordered one of their bento boxes with teriyaki salmon and chicken katsu. I was unimpressed with the chicken katsu as it wasn’t fried to a golden color, but just barely. However, the meat was moist, but it was a mix of dark and white meat. The salmon was ok. Just ok. It was presented weird, with a bed of lettuce, sautéed onions and a pool of teriyaki sauce. The California roll had no flavor at all, but their miso soup was good. I don’t think I’d come back again, I’d rather drive a mile or so during my lunch to get good food. This was just ok, and I don’t like paying for ok food.

Loved the fact that they were one of the few sushi restaurants open for my Labor Day treat! Great service and nice presentation of my specialty roll and seaweed salad. The hubby munched on their tempura plate and walked away satisfied. What more can I say?

I previously rated this place 4 stars when I first ate here 9 months ago. I have been here a handful of times since but was disappointed the last time I checked in a couple days ago. The prices are more affordable than the average sushi place but I feel like the quality in taste has decreased over each visit. I ordered the bento with Sashimi of the Day and the Seattle Roll. It came with miso soup, a salad, and California Roll. I was never a fan of the dressing that they have on their salad and the California Roll didn’t taste fresh. The sashimi was also too thick for my liking.

I ordered delivery and it didn’t take a long time to arrive. I got the Philadelphia roll and the grilled eel because I wanted to try both their sushi and their regular meals. The sushi was great. Proportionate, fresh tasting and rolled nice and tight. I hate when I get a roll that’s loose and falls apart while you’re trying to eat it. The eel way okay. It says ‘grilled’ but it seemed more like it was baked. It was a little rubbery/soggy and the sauce was not the best. Not worth the price they ask for it. But I will be ordering sushi from them again.

I’d never been here before when I decided to order delivery. I ordered miso soup, sesame balls, the half dragon roll, and mango roll. Sesame balls are one of my favorites so I was a little disappointed when I bit into the first one and it was a little gritty, a little oily, and a little undercooked. However, the sashimi was absolutely lovely. I did have one piece of dragon roll that had bones throughout which made it little hard to eat but other than that I completely enjoyed it. I’ll probably order from here again, I’ll just refrain from ordering the sesame balls

Came here for lunch on a Wednesday with my girlfriend. We were the only customers. We ordered chicken yakitori and shrimp tempura to start with. The yakitori was ok. Some pieces of the chicken was cold. The shrimp tempura was 3 pieces of fried shrimp and 5 big pieces of breaded fried veggies. I thought there was gonna be more shrimp. The sushi was good but nothing to rave about. Ive had better back home. It didnt taste as fresh as good sushi should but it wasnt bad. Rolls were well put together and the cooked pieces were done right. The service was great. We were greeted with a smile and the lady kept checking on us to make sure everything is alright. I might give them another try next time im in town and maybe try more of their rolls and update my review.

I really enjoyed this place! I had the Agedashi Tofu, Benny Roll, and The Western Hot Roll. It was delicious. I highly recommend the Benny Roll, if you like Unagi as much as I do. I will definitely be coming back here. It was pretty slow when I went, nevertheless the service was excellent :)

I live right next to this sushi spot in federal way. If you are from federal way, you will know that there arn’t that many selections of restaurant you can go to find good sushi. I decided to check it out mainly because I was starving and was craving sushi. The restauarant was pretty empty despite the fact that it was dinner time around 6pm. The owner was so kind however explaining to me what kind of menu they had when I told him that it was my first time there. I ended up getting the Benny roll and spicy tuna. Benny roll was delicious! It was an avocado unagi rolll with cucumber, and then topped with seared salmon and tuna. The seared fish on top had a nice smoky flavor to it, and the roll overall tasted like the sweet unagi sauce. It was delicious! $ 10. The spicy tuna was actually pretty spicy which was surprising because I feel like everywhere I go, spicy tuna isn’t spicy enough for me. Pretty standard flavor with that spicy mayo sauce but nonetheless tasted very fresh and delicious. $ 6 The menu had some ramen, bentos, doburi, tempura, sushi(a la carte), udon, sukiyaki and some desserts such as green tea ice cream and shaved ice. I’ll be coming back to try their ramen soon. This place is so close to my house, and I am very happy about that: D TL;DR: Not the cheapest but worth the price if you’re desperate for decent sushi in Federal Way. Friendly owners, the menu covers wide variety of japanese cuisine. Recommend it!
