I liked this place. We went with friends. Unique menu items such as a German meatloaf, Snitzel and Spaetzel. My friend ordered Fried Chicken and it was some of the best I ever tasted. They hand bread it and it is not breaded and frozen and the fried. Yummy spices in the breading. Good Bloody Mary too. Not Zing Zang mix thankfully. The waitress thought it was and went to find out if they could make one from scratch. Very helpful. The only thing that I didn’t like was the Cobb Salad. Not terrible but lettuce was not a greens mix and they put ham on it instead of the traditional bacon and no avocado. However, 3 of their dressIngs are homemade so they get points for that. Another friend ordered a huge Coney Island Chili dog and was a very high quality hot dog. All in all a good meal. I would go back,

Fenton is not our usual stomping ground so we Unilocaled for help. Found this place just around the corner from the Bluffs. As soon as we pulled up I told my wife, I bet a lot of people pass this by as it looks like a dive bar. Well as they say you cant tell a book by it cover. This place was great. Friendly staff great drinks and a menu for everyone. Food came out perfect. I had the Ruben and the wife had the prosperity. Both were great. So if your in the area and looking for a friendly place with great food give them a try. By the way the homemade chips have great flavor and are worth a try.

Alright let’s talk about a diamond in the rough!!! The Dooley family moved 026 from a strip mall in Fenton to the larger stand alone location. Although the inside is not as fancy, the menu is large, diverse, and interesting. We visited 026 as a family on a Saturday evening in November around 6 pm and the place is staffed nicely. Plenty of hostess to seat you immediately and a very friendly server staff made the service awesome from the minute you entered until you walked out the door! Our family kept with the theme of a diverse menu and tried many items. We started with the potato skins that were freshly made and not frozen and used several kinds of cheeses bringing out the flavor of the potato and tasting as a good skin should taste. For the entrée the kids shared a pizza that should be listed as top ten pizzas in St. Louis. My wife had one of the pork tenderloin German dishes that she really enjoyed and I experienced the best Reuben I have had. 026 actually uses true corned beef roast for the meat. The French Fries are true fresh cut potatoes double fried. The reuben and fries were awesome. I am surprised that this place does not have more write ups because it is simply great food. Do your self a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner and try it out. You will not be sorry. We said as we left we now have a new go-to place for eating out. Our service from Alicia was great and was backed up by extra service from the fantastic Molly D!

I hesitated as I entered, and even ended up asking the hostess If the place was family friendly, to which she said yes, so we stayed. The waitress was nice enough, but was not very knowledgeable about the beers they had on tap, or overly attentive to serving. She told me to just walk up to the bar and look. So I ended up not buying a beer, just got a water. It took an hour for one pizza. Fortunately I am blessed with a pretty patient 6 year old. I would rate the pizza about 3.5 out of 5. It was deCent, but was not super hot when it arrived. All in all, the feel of the place says sports bar and the service lacked urgency.

I love this place. Yes they have remade the menu but cut portions, i dont think so. My leftovers will feed me twice! Have always loved the Steak sandwich. Lot of new things to try. I hesr the Hackbrauten is good too.

This place is my favorite dive bar and grill. Food quality is always surpurb. Although they re made their menu and cut their portions. It used to be super quick service here but last time I was there it took an hour to get a burger and tater tots. Then when I got the food there were literally 9 or 10 tater tats in a line on my plate. I mean I heard you cutting back on portions but come on. After the waiter saw it he grabbed me a basket with another 10 tots in there. On another note the staff our all great. Very friendly and welcoming. Also beer choice is nice as well. They sell local brewers too.

Pretty neat place. The burgers are fantastic. Seriously though they are fantastic. The dining area inside he building reminded me of my uncles basement minus the whips and chains. Smelled like it too. I guess what I am trying to say is eat outside and regardless of what you order you will most likely be satisfied.

What a fun little place tucked in Fenton — if you blink, you might miss it! It is in a building underneath a Tae Kwon Do studio so you will hear jumping and grunting. However if you’re there for game watching you won’t even notice. We were seated immediately and given a menu with a nice variety on it. We each ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich with fries and it was served in a timely manner, nice and hot.

Had the Thursday night special and it was excellent. Perfectly prepared as it expected. We also had the foot long hot dog and it was good but a little tough. Good sweet potato fries and also had Canolli bites which were yummy.

1 ½ hours for 2 burgers w/fries, 2 salads. my club salad had chopped up lunch meat, iceberg lettuce, bacon bits, and tomatoes. soooo damn loud. turn off the sound on the tvs & turn ON the CC. everybody was yelling over the tvs. this place was very annoying & the food was soooooo slow. gotta find a better burger place. i love Carl’s Drive In, but kinda of a drive. keep looking

We came here with a big group for a friend’s birthday and sat in the party room. Staff was very accommodating — split our checks up and turned on the game for us. Even let us take the party outside after a bit. Pretzel bites were yum! Chicken club was also solid.(and two portions) All in all I had a great time! DJ played anything we requested. I would definitely return to the patio for a beer and to watch some baseball.

I hit up the 026 Pub N Biergarten with some folks from my training group after a run in Fenton Park for their breakfast buffet, and though it’s nothing fancy, I’d for sure go back again. The spread is simple(doughnuts, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, cheesy potato casserole, breakfast pizza), but it was all prepared well and offered at a great price. I got my buffet breakfast and a mimosa with tax and tip for just over $ 10. You can’t really complain about that. The mimosa wasn’t terribly strong, but hey, it was $ 2. Order another one. For anyone complaining about the«dark bar» atmosphere, ummm… it’s called a pub and biergarten. Were you expecting some quaint little dining room with linen napkins and natural sunlight to bring your mother to for an impressive Mother’s Day breakfast complete with petit fours, because seriously, your initial judgement was off, not the 026 Pub N Biergarten.

Bar food. In a dark bar. If that’s what you’re looking for, like those who brought me there, its decent.

This was a nice surprise when my boyfriend and I decided to stop in last weekend. The weather was perfect and the patio was satisfactory. Food had a good flavor and we enjoyed a couple of brews. We will be happy to return!

I first went here a little over a year ago and wrote a review of it. Not long after, the owner posted on my review that they were going to be doing some things to address the things I didnt like and he urged me to come back and give it another chance. Well, with more than a year going by since then, I figured they’d had enough time to make any changes, so I gave them another chance. The verdict? Its the same as it was before. I was told they would be offering their schnitzel and some of their other specials every day. No. They are still offered just once a week. FYI, if you want the schnitzel, go on Thursday. I did not see any changes to the menu. More than that, I get the impression that they just dont really care all that much. As I went to leave, I noticed they had another menu for lent with an additional 8 or so items posted on a bulletin board by the door. This menu was not given to me when I got their main menu, and as such, I had no chance to order from it. Too bad — I would have rather had one of those things than what I did end up getting. As it is, I got a burger. It was good, and quite large, but the fries were too salty. I had to stop eating them part way through my meal they were so salty. As I read through others’ reviews, I see that the night I was there was buy one get one free on pizzas. Why didnt anyone tell me? I probably would have gotten a pizza if I had known that. That seems to be how this place runs — there’s more going on than you would suspect, but they wont tell you unless you ask, but if you knew enough to ask, you wouldnt need to. Its a catch 22. Also, I felt like I had to wait longer than usual to get my food. My bottom line? If you want to go to a bar, its fine. If you want to go to a bar and watch the game and maybe grab something to eat while you’re there, its fine. But dont bother eating here as a restaurant. I see no reason to go here at any point in the future, as you can probably get better food at any of the other nearby restaurants. My original review: I was drawn into this restaurant by an ad that advertised German and Irish food. However once I got in, sat down, and looked at the menu, I was immediately disappointed. This is not a German restaurant in any way shape or form. It is clearly an American restaurant. It cannot be described any other way. The vast majority of menu items can be categorized as sandwiches, pizza, or burgers. There may be a few menu items that dont fit into these categories, but not many, and none you could make a meal of. Despite the fact that the ad I saw clearly stated they served schnitzel, they only do one night a week. The same is true of the fish and chips, which were also on the same ad, and that would’ve been my back up choice based on what I thought I knew of this restaurant. I think there was also another German item on the menu and also fit into this category of only being served once a week. I asked if I could have the schnitzel, even though I was there on the wrong night. I was told that wasn’t possible. With all that said, I ordered a burger and the burger was actually pretty good. It was very large and I had trouble finishing it. That said, the fries it came with as a side were slightly undercooked; I will say that the fries looked a little better than they tasted. The atmosphere was disappointing for a restaurant. Honestly, it’s more of a pub or bar. As advertised, there is a beer garden, however, it was not in use when I was there because it was cold. They seemed to be doing a lot of business when I was there, a typical weekday night. I believe they had 8 different beers on tap and another couple in bottles in the refrigerator. In conclusion, although I was clearly disappointed in the restaurant’s lack of German food as advertised, I gave the place a fair chance. In the end, it’s a decent place for snacks, sandwiches, burgers and simple pub food but nothing more. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about and I found nothing remarkable about this place in any way. I have no plans to return here in the future.

If you are hungry, 026 Pub & Bier Garten is the place! Sandwiches were HUGE!!! Packed with meat and tasty. Service was great from being greeted and seated by the hostess to the waitress. The waitress’ knowledge of the menu and bar was helpful as well.

What an unexpected surprise this was! I picked this place thinking it was a completely different restaurant. We decided to give it a try anyway. 9 crazy Zumba instructors, 2 vegetarians & a church youth group leader descended on the unsuspecting pub. Our waiter was fun, the food was great, the serving sizes were ginormous. Families, sports teams, couples… everyone was welcome. Even had an arcade so the parents can eat in peace. The service was a little slow, but we did have 12 people. Will definitely be back with my family.

Not worth it. Decided to try it out last year and realized the food was everything I could make at home. Anything fried seemed like it came from the frozen food section of a grocery store. When I saw biergarten in the name, I thought they would have a good beer selection but it felt like a dirty dive bar. The place wasn’t clean and seemed hectic BC the bar was really loud. No real theme to the restaurant. Service was below avg to avg. First time i ordered a royal burger and the meat was burger meat was dry. Tried going a second time and food turned out slightly better and fresher but was turned off by the dead cockroach that was on the ground… If you’re looking for drunk food, It probably isn’t that bad. On the plus side, I do like big portioned meals and they were big, but I’d rather have quality over quantity in the long run.

Second visit, first review. Food was pretty decent — once we were served. We sat in the dining room instead of the bar. The bar service was better. In the dining room tonight, we waited ½ hr for our food… too long for wings and a couple of burgers. I had the Fentonite… burger with bacon, American cheese and onion rings on toast. It tasted good, but would have been better if it was a few ounces smaller and a couple dollars cheaper — I thought $ 10.99 for huge burger + fries was too high. I asked for medium, but the burger was so big it was medium rare in the middle. I think my son’s bacon burger was even bigger than my Fentonite. The wings were pretty good according to my husband — hot mustard is better than teriyaki. The boys had«Bailey’s cheesecake» for dessert… beautiful presentation, but I make better at home. If we’d been served faster and the bill was about $ 20 less, they would have gotten another star. It’s not fun paying $ 71 + tip for a family of 4 eating burgers, fries and wings that were not over the top delicious. I’ll go back, but I think I’ll stick to a table in the bar, drinks and appetizers.
