The moment a ‘fast food’ sushi joint can make me think their spring rolls taste fresh, you get 5 stars! I love everything about this place. The Thai is acceptable, the Chinese is rwally good and the sushi is much better than it should be for the price! Some high points are: — spring roll — crab Rangoon — general Tso chicken — pad Thai — blazing California roll — crab Rangoon roll You won’t be disappointed — give it a try!

Yes Bai Wei has good tasting food. There is an upcharge to get«non breaded» which costs $ 2 which they call it «all white meat». With that said there are meals that have white meat like sweet n sour chicken but to get it unbreaded, there is the $ 2 up charge. The guy who takes the order is nice. I think the manager, cook or owner who may not speak the best English, seems to be rather hasty. Their menus are out of date with the prices and if they wanted to streamline their business they would indicate what vegetables come with the entrees. That would save time over the phone especially for new customers and being a new restaurant would help as all customers are new. I was a little taken back after the guy taking the order indicated that I was taking too much time asking questions about their dinner options and going over their prices(which the menu was incorrect). I am a new customer and will overlook the rudeness for now. I bet it was someone who doesn’t interact with their customers as in either a cook, manager or owner. I am sure they realize being successful is not just about having good tasting food. They have the«taste» to be successful, just need to improve the information about their dishes either in menu or website format. I do recommend their food. Just explain their dishes more and inform their customers on what something like«Shumai» is. Not sure many know what that is.

I love the food, no problem there. The reason it’s a 1 star is customer service and delivery. The attitude almost makes me think they don’t care about the customer, or delivering quickly and with friendly service. They would rather tell you that you are wrong, than try and make things right. They will tell you their website and menu is wrong, even though they won’t change them.

I have been ordering delivery from here for years. I love the sushi and that I can get it delivered it a plus. The downside is that I have never received my order in under 45 minutes. I call every time to make sure it’s still coming. Tonight, it’s been almost an hour… Still no food. It just seems a little ridiculous to wait so long.

Came in to order a lunch special but since there’s a $ 10 credit card min I had to order something else as well. I got the Mongolian beef lunch special and a small order or sesame chicken to take home for dinner. The lunch special comes with soup, but they informed they were out of hot n sour soup so I had to order egg drop(which I’m not a huge fan of). The soup looked like they put waaay too much yellow food coloring in it and tasted basically like salty egg. Womp womp. Fried rice was decent/meh. The Mongolian beef however was pretty awesome. Served with a bit too many green and white onions but the beef itself and the sauce was delicious! I probably wouldn’t get the lunch special again even though it’s a lot of food for a good price, just cause I’m not super pleased about the soup or fried rice, and I also don’t eat crab rangoon. But I would get just an order of that Mongolian beef again. And ill remember to bring cash next time! As of the take home sesame chicken order, the small was about 7 dollars and the serving looked way smaller than the lunch portion! Hopefully it’s good!

Nothing special. Tasted like every other chinese restaraunt only my daughter said hers tasted burnt and I couldn’t eat my soup because there were rotten eggs in it.

This was our first trip to Bai Wei and dropped in for a Friday night dinner. We were the only ones eating in the place over the span of an hour. A few people dropped for pickup and one employee left once for delivery. It took 40 minutes to serve the food for a simple order of Moo Shu Pork and Beef Veggie Mix. They apologized because they were slammed, and we looked at each other with puzzled looks. The kitchen seemed very disoriented and not very efficient for 4 cooks. When we finally were served dinner, the order was wrong(plain rice instead of fried rice). They brought the Beef dish out first and 5 minutes later they served the Pork. When they brought the Pork out we mentioned the rice error and they insisted on picking up the plain rice bowl they had served 5 minutes before they would serve the proper fried rice. The plain rice appeared to go back into the queue. The food had decent taste, but not outstanding. What was really weird was the use of tortillas for Moo Shu pancakes, which should be very thin and light instead of thick and heavy. While we waited a guy came in stating he had been on hold for over 20 minutes to order and was still on hold, but since he was now in the restaurant he wanted to order. Since very good Chinese options exist in the area we can not recommend this place.

This is the first time I have ordered from Bai Wei and it was a really great experience. The Moo Shu Pork was really flavorful and the crab rangoon was the best! The food arrived pretty quick and it was hot. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be ordering again.

I placed and order online for delivery today at 2:50pm. I finally called them at 4:50pm because my food had not yet arrived at the house. The guy started apologizing for not checking and filling his online orders. Sucks for him because it was a $ 60+ sushi order with a $ 15 dollar tip. It was ALL paid for through their online ordering software. Places like this aren’t smart enough to stay in business long. You’ve got to be convenient and reliable and Bai Wei is neither!!!

Delicious food! I order carry-out frequently. The hot and sour soup is my favorite! I have enjoyed all of the food I have tried!

The food arrived fairly quickly and hot by a friendly delivery person, which was a nice touch. The vegetarian vegetables and tofu was very mild, but tasted great once I added a little homemade hot sauce. My fried rice was surprisingly not greasy and mostly rice. The hubby started with egg drop soup that was basically broth with maybe a tablespoon of egg. His chicken lo mein was mostly noodles with a little bit of chicken and sprinkle of carrots and cabbage. Considering the price, the taste was fine.

Normally this is our favorite Chinese food restaurant, for their amazing sesame chicken. Tonight however, we are more than disappointed. Our order took almost 1.5hrs to be delivered, we had to call and ask where our food was. Then when it arrived the fried rice containers were barely halfway full and like warm. When I tried to call to complain, they don’t even answer the phone. I definitely recommend this place because the food is fantastic, but carry-out, don’t deliver.

The family and I ordered the other night. I ordered chicken and mushrooms. They used canned mushrooms and had a soggy taste. My mother in law ordered the fried Philadelphia roll. The topping was the consistency of a soggy crescent roll. We ended up throwing it all away.

SO, as far as Sushi goes(because that is all I have gotten and will ever get) this place has THEBEST takeout/delivery sushi. I could eat it every day! The lunch special is SUPER affordable in price and the quality is far over the cost. Will I eat here again? OFCOURSE! Probably today for lunch in fact :) Great place all around!

This place is odd they where open but half the lights where turned off and it was cold inside. One of the workers was wearing a jacket by the stove! I noticed they got a fair amount of call out orders. I guess that’s why they neglect the restaurant so much. I was the only one to come into the place for ½ hour. The front windows where dirty and the soda machine was filthy. All the soy sauce boltles where almost empty and sticky. Most disturbingly I could scrape sticky dirt off the table tops. The cleanliness of this place really isn’t where it should be. Sitting there wait for my food I was expecting the worst. Well it wasn’t but it wasn’t great either. I got the following pepper chicken lunch special and pot stickers. The peppers where actually fresh and the chicken was ok. The fried rice was average but the pot stickers where gross. I picked one up and it was the greasiest pot sticker I ever had. It literally was dripping grease. There are a lot of Chinese restaurants out there. I can’t think of a reason to go back to this one.

My family and I tried Bai Wei for the first time last night. Really wish we had done it sooner. The restaurant sits in a former Quizno’s so it’s not real big. This isn’t a table service restaurant, which I’m totally fine with. Order at the counter and they bring it out to you. I had the Hot Braised Chicken and it was delicious. Most places give you a big puff of breading with a small piece of chicken. This was lightly coated and mainly chicken. The sauce was flavorful and it came out hot. My wife had sesame chicken and the same applied to her meal. My kids had the beef fried rice and the chicken fried rice. Portions were generous and there was a lot of meat in both dishes. We ordered potstickers for an appetizer. They were large and had good flavor. The sauce on the side was good, too. These are a little different than you find in most other places in that the outside is «crispy» top to bottom. I’m used to fried on the bottom and a little doughy on top. Different isn’t bad. Overall, good experience. We usually go to Panda for our chinese fix, but will definitely be returning to Bai Wei.

Can’t say I’m impressed. After a long day we decided to get some Chinese take-out and after recently discovering this place, we decided to give it a shot. Plus, they delivered. Should have gone somewhere else. The food was mediocre and our order wasn’t even correct. The fried rice is really bland, the steamed rice I actually ordered probably would have tasted better. The beef and broccoli had very little beef and wasn’t good anyway. The two other people that ordered with me weren’t impressed either. Wasn’t worth the money or the hour wait it took to be delivered. I mean… I only live 5 minutes away.

I actually stumbled upon Bai Wei. I was headed to The Natural Way during my lunch break because I was craving a Kombucha like MAD. As I was walking into the Natural Way, I caught a huge whiff of delicious smelling food from Bai Wei a few doors down. The rest, my friends, is history. I have so little self-control it hurts. The place itself is cute, with a bunch of tables and decent décor. Very neat and clean. I was greeted immediately by the friendly guy behind the counter. As I pored over the menu, he pointed out the lunch specials menu. There were a nice number of entrees available, which came with soup and crab rangoon, all for less than $ 6. My go-to Chinese food order is hot braised chicken, but since no one other than Bo Fung seems to be able to get that right, I went with the Mongolian Beef instead. I subbed out fried rice for plain, and after a bit of sweet talking, managed to sub out miso soup for hot and sour(«miso soup is only for sushi,» he insisted at first). I took my order to-go, and it was wrapped very nicely. Nothing spilled along the way. And the food itself? Amazing! The rice was deliciously flavorful, the crab rangoons were top-notch, and the mongolian beef? FANTASTIC. They didn’t skimp on the meaty portions at all. So. Much. Food. Admittedly, I was too stuffed after all of this food to try the miso soup(all of that sweet talking and grinning on my part went to waste! Shame…). If I’m ever craving Chinese food again for lunch, I know where I’ll be headed. After I guzzle my Kombucha, of course. Yum.

We have been there on two separate occasions now. After my first experience I was on the fence, but decided to give it one more try before bringing my thoughts to the internets for the world to read. First trip: my mother and I both enjoyed lunch specials, which are a great deal for your money. I had the Pepper Steak extra spicy, my mother had the mongolian beef. Both dishes came with soup, 2 pc crab rangoon and your choice of fried or steamed rice. The soup(hot and sour) came out and was cold, not room temp, but we are talking out of the fridge cold. It was minutes after opening, so we just asked them to reheat it and it was mediocre. The entrees were delicious however. Both came with decent portions for a lunch special under $ 6. She thought the fried was OK, but I really enjoyed the steamed with my pepper steak. Not very spicy for extra spicy, but I am used to that. Trip #2 was the girlfriend, myself and my mother again for lunch. This time I went for the General Tso’s Chicken, my girlfriend the chicken with mixed veggies and my mother the shrimp fried rice. Again, the entrees were all good, this time the soup did come out hot, but still just mediocre as far as hot & sour and wonton soups are concerned. CONS: Cleanliness of restaurant — i had to grab 3 forks before getting one that didnt appear to be used 10 minutes prior. The table clothes were also very sticky on both visits. Service — not only is this a con, but probably borderline worst service I’ve had in a chinese restaurant. Not only do the people not seem very nice, but when you ask for sauces(they are not accessible by regulars, you have to get them from workers) they give you 1 packet at a time and they have apparently been out of hot mustard for 2 weeks now(time between visits, they were out both times). The restaurant also used to be a Quizno’s, and they still have the self-help trash cans out so I am not sure if they want you to bus your own table, or they do it for you. Pot stickers — HORRIBLE. 6 to an order, and they are huge… but they didnt taste good at all, and the cold sauce(again, out of the fridge cold) that came with them wasn’t like any other pot sticker sauce I’ve had. Tasted like straight vinegar with some sesame seeds in it. and had a nasty after taste with a hint of spice… will not be getting those again. OVERALL: I would get take out from there for sure, as long as I was only getting an entrée and didnt want soup/apps to go with it. But entrees I had, as well as the other 2 I have tasted were great, but they should put some effort into cleaning the restaurant and servicing their customers. This place doesnt touch other chinese places in the area, but I will still give their sushi a shot as the price is right and it looked decent.

Wow, where are all these sushi places popping out from in Fenton? Psh, not complaining at all! Bai Wei is literally down the street from my neighborhood which is incredibly convenient for me since it’s within walking distance. They have other selections that are actual dishes… but knowing me, I go straight for the sushi! Like with every place, I try the usual rolls, and once I’ve established that it was decent, then they get an A-OK to move on. And yes, Bai Wei passed! Prices are awesome — no really, they are. Price range for a special roll is from $ 8.95– $ 14 max. So next on my list of rolls to try are: King Roll, Cardinal, and Tsunami. Ohh yes, will post an update on that for sure :)
