Fun restaurant in the heart of Ferguson. I really enjoyed the vibe — J&C has live music several nights a week, the walls are decorated with blues-themed artwork, and it has a full bar and seating area.(Apparently karaōke is available upon request — I’ll keep that in mind for next time!) Food: 4⁄5. I had the J&C Sampler, which came with ribs, rib tips, pulled pork, and hot links. The ribs and hot links were the stars of the show. Meaty ribs, full of flavor, accompanied by delicious BBQ sauce. The hot links were a great surprise — these have always been on my BBQ backburner, if you will, but they moved to the front with this experience. Juicy, full of flavor, and cut into thirds for easier portioning. Definitely a fan. The pulled pork was okay — needed the sauce to round it out, nothing particularly noteworthy. The rib tips were disappointing — tough meat, lots of bone, not nearly a flavorful as their fuller rib counterparts. That’s partly due to the cut of meat, but I’ve had much better rib tip experiences. Venue: 3⁄5. As mentioned above, this is an awesome venue. However, it could have been cleaner. The tables and bathrooms looked like they needed a deep cleaning — no major red flags or anything, but definitely room for improvement. Service: 3.5÷5. I was part of a large group, which presents some service challenges. They were fine with us combining a number of tables to accommodate our party, and the server was friendly and polite. However, the food took a really long time to come out, and the attention to drink refills could have been a lot better. All in all, a solid BBQ option for STL. Definitely worth a try!

I came here on a Saturday afternoon with a large group. Service: We had the place to ourselves for most of the meal, and our server managed our party of twelve quite well. She was good with refills, making recommendations and getting our plates out as quickly as possible. Food: I ordered the pulled pork tacos, which came with my choice of two sides(baked beans and corn). The tacos were great, with pineapple in the sauce, giving them a sweeter flavor. The fried corn was only good when it was hot, otherwise it tasted kind of gummy. Value: My entrée was plenty of food for $ 7.99, which is an excellent value. I find the three dollars($$$) as the price indicator a little misleading(it’s closer to one $ or two $$), but perhaps this includes some of the larger BBQ items.

Great ribs and hot links! If I was only rating these two items, I would give it five stars. The ribs were perfectly smoked and moist, and the hot links were well spiced and probably the best I’ve ever had. As noted by other commenters, the rib tips left a little to be desired, as some were a tad overdone. But overall a great experience. This is also a great venue for live music or, when there is none, karaōke!

The place is OK, set up more for hanging out and live band but if you get hungry the menu is bbq. I had rib tips and snoot combo it was terrible I threw it away. The snoot were fried and grill cook and the rib tips were tough not cook all the way, no flavor, cold and just horrible. It is a nice looking place but for food no way.

I tried this place for lunch and it was just ok. I had the rib tips and you tell they were cold and they just put bbq sauce over it to make it seem like it was warm. The sides were cold also. I probably wouldnt try it again

Hoping for a good BBQ place in Ferguson was very disappointed. I had a brisket sandwich with beans and pot salad, beans tasted like canned beans and pot salad probably from Sam’s .Brisket very fatty and tough. Wife had pulled pork, very dry and tough(how can something soaking in BBQ sauce be tough). I really wanted it to be amazing.

Met our friends here for our usual date night Friday. As we sat at home trying to decide where to go, where else but right here down the road! Didn’t have to drive far; parking was good too. We walked in to a band belting out some«down home blues» and the atmosphere was lively. Food was good. I had a late lunch so to be on the not-so-heavy side, I had the hot link, which was not that hot, but it was good. Vince had the pulled pork and some beans. He said it was good. Drinks were typical, I just had glasses of wine and he and the others had beers. My girlfriend had bbq snoots, which were not bad either. With snoots, you really must fix them right and they did . Atmosphere was mixed, which if you know me, you know I like diversity. It was nice to be in the neighborhood, supporting locally, and once again enjoying Ferguson as I know it. My poor little city took a beating and it was nice to be here with my neighbors and others. I will be back.

This food was pretty good. I understand that it is a new restaurant, but it felt like it took ages for us to order, and then a long time to get our food.

Tried the new bbq place in Ferguson the other night. Most of the food was good. The ribs were great. The rib tips, not good at all. Fun atmosphere, but the service was bad. But I will give the place another try.

I thought the Chopped Chicken Sandwich was pretty good. I had the BBQ Sauce on the side with the green beans, baked beans and fries. Price was comparable to the portion and the music is pretty good. A must try!

Pretty much blown away by this new bbq spot in ferguson. Best ribs north of Memphis even though they are wet ribs. Music(live) nice and bluesy All in all a very pleasant experience. Great food, cold beer, and blues.
