The service was mediocre and the food was okay compared to normal Subway standards, but we got major attitude from a couple of the employees there. We were looking over the receipt off to the side when they tried to explain what they did while another employee spoke over the cashier and rudely suggested that we were saving money in a tone that came off as we were dumb and couldn’t follow simple math. Really unsettling and not like it matters to anyone there, but thought it should be known.

This is my go-to lunch place when I am working in Fernley and need to grab something quick. Three stars — nothing special, nothing bad. It is what it is and it is what I expect from a small-town Subway.
I have been there when the line has been just about out the door (need to check the HS lunch schedule before going) and when I was the only customer there. No matter how busy, they are efficient and and friendly and get you through the line with the food very quickly.
The bread has always been fresh and the front area is always clean. There is not a lot of seating and I would imagine that it would not be the most comfortable dining experience if they were really busy, but that is not an issue for me as I always do take-out.
I will continue to stop here on a regular basis.

Ok, but they don’t listen while you are telling them about two different sandwiches — duh! And the person who runs the place — uh I know what time it is and what time you close. Don’t be snarky and say «well it is almost closing time». Either you are there to make a sandwich until you close or post different hours then…
And mopping while making a sandwich is NOT appetizing!

I’ve been in this location twice now since I’m not big on having to go into Wal-Mart where the other Subway is. Both times the ladies behind the counter have been nice and quick. It’s clean in the eating area, and behind the counter. I did notice that the avocado is not discolored blob in a bin.
The only gripe I have applies to all Subway around here and that’s the lack of sliced cheddar cheese. Shredded cheese + cold sandwich = fail. It’s find if you get it toasted, but I rarely ever do.
