All rice sushi not worth the price. They did not have short ribs which I was looking forward too. After I cut half of the rice off of the crystal roll it was pretty good.

We call this place ricey moto because they put so much rice on their rolls. They are very nice but only eat there if you are really in the mood for lots and lots of rice!

Not only the worst sushi I’ve ever had, and had to call in sick for work the next day. But the sever was so incredibly rude. She actually suggested that I «choke down a few more pieces or we have to charge you». Think it should start with eatable food before you start making demands. If you need sushi, please try the truck stop first.

Lived in Japan for 3 years(so I feel I can speak with some SA on sushi), this is the best sushi in the area, outside of Reno. Either stop here or press to Reno for sushi.

Well, I believe they had one in reno also and that place was good until we found a hair and a bug in our sushi rolls. Went to visit my cousin and we decided to come here to eat. I ordered a spider roll which is soft shell crab and it was under the cooked rolls section since I’m pregnant can’t eat raw. Well it came out looked great until I took a bite. There was raw salmon and it was topped with a weird mayo. Mayo does not go well when it’s just plain mayo. I felt like I was eating a big bite of mayo. The ambiance was nice, quiet and nicely decorated, but in most of my reviews I don’t care what the place looks like it’s the taste and quality of the food that I care more about. I wanted to order a different roll and I asked them to make it smaller cuz I won’t be able to finish it. And the waitress said she could have her out less rice. And I said sure. Well when it came out there was so much rice I of course couldn’t finish it. The owner brought us some kimchi that was probably the only good tasting thing there. I understand that some restaurants want to cater to the folks around them. White, black, Mexican, or whatever is the majority living around the area. But you can’t say your a Japanese, Korean restaurant when nothing taste authentic to the culture. So disappointing. I hate to give them such little stars, but when they couldn’t make one of my last rolls smaller then they obviously care more about making the customers full fast then changing one thing per customer request.

Been wanting to try this place ever since I found out about it. Being a SoCal transplant, I was spoiled with sushi places in LA and Orange County. I am no sushi expert and I tend to judge a place based on their unagi. After looking at the menu, we decided to go for the All You Can Eat. The dinner price is $ 23 per person and included most sushi and rolls on their regular menu plus appetizers. I was expecting the place to be empty but I was wrong, there were four other people inside and five more people came in while we were there. We came in around 4:30pm. The service was okay. We ordered a couple of sushis and some rolls and the orders trickled in about two rolls at a time. The unagi took the longest and I was told that it was still baking when I asked about it… which I found weird because the caterpillar roll that contains unagi was already in our table. I didn’t take the picture of the first three rolls but when the mountain roll came, I just had to snap a pic haha.(My poor husband still doesn’t understand my Unilocal ways…) I asked for the seaweed salad and it was a bit fishy and had weird after taste. I did like their upside down shrimp… it’s basically sushi with crab on top of rice on top of shrimp. I was doubtful how good sushi would be in a small town like Fernley but it wasn’t too bad. Can’t wait to try Reno places next. I do get a little disappointed when I find Korean-operated sushi joints because I *love* Korean food and don’t quite understand why they’d rather serve Japanese food, specially when there is only one Korean restaurant within a 100 mile radius… supply and demand, I guess. oh well.
