I’ve been wanting to try phở for a while now, but am picky about my meats. I saw that my stop for the night had a phở place right next door and decided I had to go for it. I almost chickened out when I saw people mentioning tripe and tendon, but I knew I’d kick myself for being a wuss if I didn’t go try it. I am SO glad I went for it! For one, you order the tripe or tendon, it doesn’t just come with the soup. I ordered the small brisket and meatball soup. It was $ 7.99. I also ordered curry chicken fried rice because I figured the small would be, well, small. He brought the bowl out and it was filled to the brim with broth, noodles, and meat, plus came with a side dish piled high with bean sprouts, fresh on the stem basil, a lime wedge, and a few jalapeño slices. I’d read an article on how to properly eat phở before I went, so I knew to try the broth first as well as some of the noodles, before adding any of the herbs, lime, or sauces. It was delicious, flavorful, and amazing. Yes, I know delicious and flavorful mean the same thing… shut up, I’m still recovering. I tore up the basil and dropped that in, squoze some lime juice in before dropping that in, added the jalapeño slices and some bean sprouts. I finished the all the meat and noodles and proceeded to drink the broth. All the while, Ben was making sure that I had everything I needed and that everything was to my satisfaction. Bottom line: the food was delicious, the portion size was quite generous, the price was reasonable, and Ben was an attentive server. If you are in the area, you can’t go wrong.

Best spring rolls I’ve ever had. Phở amazing flavor, and house chili oil is not only spicy but flavorful. Everything is fresh and made to order. Staff very friendly and restaurant clean.

I have been here a few times after discovering them a few weeks ago and I just have to say I haven’t been more impressed by a new phở restaurant than I was by this place. The young gentleman that has served me everytime my fiancée and I have gone is just amazing he is so personal and always remembers us and everything we have talked about. Just all around a great experience. Now the food is always great too I have never had a bad experience with the phở here the broth is amazing and perfectly seasoned.

We LOVE this place, we come at least once a week if not more… Its SOGOOD! We get the Chicken and Beef Brisket Phở and the Crab Wontons. AMAZING, the food is always good and the young man that works there is always such a nice guy. He now remembers our orders and is always smiling. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Best phở around.

I’ve been on an old movie kick(I’m also on a phở kick if you’ve been paying attention to my reviews). So, as I write this review, I’m reminded of the storyline of 12 Angry Men [ ], which begins with jury deliberations in a murder case. Instead of just accepting the trial as an open-and-shut case as presented in the first few minutes of the movie, the viewer is drawn into the debate and double guesses their assumptions as more evidence comes to light and as each member of the jury provides, in-turn, their own insights. Just like the first juror to question the conclusion of his fellow members, I feel like I’m casting some doubt as to the results reached by other Unilocal who’s given Top Phở such high praise. I ordered a large no. 14(phở with raw beef, brisket, tendon, tripe, and flank). Firstly, all the positives: the soup was served extremely hot, which was awesome – contrary to some of the other phở restaurants I’ve been to recently that will be receiving correspondingly lukewarm reviews; the broth was flavorful; and the ingredients were fresh. Service was prompt and courteous, and I felt both attended to yet unhurried. Awesome broth, great service, and fresh ingredients; so for what else could one ask? Disappointingly, as other reviewers have noted, the portions were not proportionate to the price. I hate it when I feel I’ve received what amounts to a small or regular portion in a large bowl. Yes, there is more broth, but that’s not the point is it? I don’t expect to be massacred with meat, but *feeling* like I will be overwhelmed would be nice. Less than glowing review aside, I’ll be back to give it another shot, maybe with a scale and measuring cup to ensure I’m not biased.

Best Phó in the Tacoma-Fife area hands down. They provide great service and remember their regulars favorite dishes. My favorite is the #8 Meatballs and Brisket, the meat is tender and the broth is so good. The sprouts and basil have always been fresh for me. Sometimes they stay open until 11pm which is nice because 10 – 11 is my lunchtime. Although lately it has been closing early. My only complaint is I can’t get my late night Phó fix. Thanks Top Phó.

I got the steak, brisket, and meatball phở. The bowl was really small for the price and it costed me 9 bucks. Really expensive for what you get. The flavor was okay but not great. I would try another phở place if your around the area.

the food here is fast, fresh and good… however … the prices are outrageous for what you actually get. i mean — $ 6.50 for 6POTSTICKERS is sillyness, in my mind. and $ 3.50 for one springroll …(?) phở-king pricey.

They have the best spring rolls hands down in this area. So fresh and delicious. Their phở was also surprisingly good. Broth was not murky, but clear and clean tasting. The meat is suuuper tender. I actually really love this place but my dad says he doesn’t like it because the portion is way too small for how much it costs. It is about $ 1 more than you average phở place. But I’m not really a quantity person. As long as it tastes good, quality is what matters to me. You can find me here on a weekday after work with a friend downing a good olé bowl of phở! The owner lady is super nice and sweet too.

The broth here alone is very noticeable«clean» and I’m guessing msg free. Most places that have broth like this are bland to me but this broth is tasty. If it does have msg is not a lot. For fife, this is your best option for phở.

Top Phở was good. It didn’t stand out as the best phở I have ever had or anything, but it is a solid choice for a bowl of phở and I will will likely return.

The phở here was excellent, with quick service. I ordered the tofu phở with broccoli and carrots, which were all cooked to perfection. I also ordered the red bean bubble tea, which was delicious. I could easily recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Good Phở soup. Friendly family service where they remember you. Their fresh spring rolls are the best in Pierce county.

I guess all good things must come to an end. I had my first mediocre bowl of phở this morning at Top Phở. I am hoping that maybe it was my coffee that threw off my palate today. So I regret to announce that Top Phở now only gets 4 stars instead of 5. Until next time.

Most friendly Vietnamese restaurant server! Smiles everywhere My wife and I continued our phở journey and we came here after our massages. We both ordered their phở in small bowls and their shrimp spring roll as an appetizer. Their pop was really good; we both had coke and it was in nice big glasses!(with a lot of fizzzzzzzzzzzz!!!) Extra Extra Their spring roll was pretty good; it was wrapped perfectly with shrimp, bean sprouts, lettuce and rice noodle, but it did not have mint. Their fish sauce was sweet and hoisin sauce tasted decent. The main course, which was our small bowl phos were ok. Yeah, they were really small; the noodle look like it was the portion equal to an instant ramen portion. Their meat was good, nicely sliced and tender in rare steak and brisket that I had. They didn’t have much white onion in their broth and cilantro, as there were only bits of stems from cilantro and not full leaves. White onion only made an appearance as a few pieces sprinkled into the bowl. Sadness. The broth I will talk about in the next paragraph. Alright back from commercial break brought to you by. Johnny and Tasting Associates. Thank you. Well continuing with where we left off, which is the broth, I want to say it wasn’t good. When a bowl of phở comes out and if you got an eye for good phở like me, you can instantly tell from the color of the broth and how it looks, if it is good or not. In this case, I was correct because it looked clear, which means it is bland with a little cinnamon flavor to it. I tasted it and quickly added hoisin and lime + leftover fish sauce from my shrimp spring roll. Thank you shrimp spring roll fish sauce! It tasted better, but still no good. My wife on the other hand, added everything she can find from the condiments on our table and nothing was able to do magic to her broth, as they were dissolved into the flavorless broth of doom. Was this the worst phở I had? No, everything else was good like the meat, noodles, but just not the broth. The restrooms were clean. Server was extra friendly. They had no one there, when we came. So if you want anything else other than phở like a good coke or good service in a Vietnamese restaurant, I recommend this one.

Another good meal at Top Phở. Broth wa exceptionally good today. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve had phở from here. New menus are available, still the sane menu, but they’re cleaner. My daughter had their tofu sandwich with fried egg — she said it was really good. The portions for the child’s phở & my «small» was really generous. We could hardly finish! Love the fresh spring rolls. The wrappers are always very fresh tasting not dry or hard.

We did not have a good experience today. The bottles on the table were sticky, noodles were greasy, fish sauce was bland and the bread on my sandwich was over toasted and it tore up the roof of my mouth! The one person they had working in the dining room was in the kitchen half the time. Customers came in and stood around until she came back out. We had to watch for her to come out so we could pay and leave. One star is for the good food we’ve had in the past. Second star is for the generous amount of chicken in the sandwich.

This is one of the best phở places that we frequent often. The owners treat you like family. If you like presentation and detail to your food, this is going to be your favorite, as well. I love that they use glass/porcelain dishes and cups. Also, their phở isn’t sweet or over-salty. It has the right amount of spices and herbs. The add in veggies always fresh, green, and crisp. They know I like my sprouts steamed, so that is a plus. Their home made hot chili oil sauce is BOMB. Tastes wonderful, and we usually get spring rolls or Banhmi, but not tonight. I ordered a grilled chicken, rice, egg roll dish and dh ordered his«usual» brisket phở. Delicious and we are full! :)
