My dad came here for years when he worked out thus way from up north. Every day he worked this way he made his stop. Now that he is retired, I make sure to take him his still favorite donuts every single time I visit him. Pat, the owner is awesome and the donuts are yummy :)

I’ve been here a handful of times in the previous years. I think they have different owners. This experience was not nearly as good as the last. It kind of started before we even walked inside. It smelt like sewage outside, the dining tables on the exterior of the building were filthy, walked in at around 7:45−8am on a Saturday & the selection was very very limited(they had zero glazed donuts and 1 chocolate bar). I live in Ventura and paid $.55 more for a dozen here than at home. I should not have even taken a bite. When I opened the box I could smell the oils they use. Not sure what they are doing differently than before but the donuts are way sweeter and I guess the only way I can describe is more fake tasting. I took 3 bites of 3 different donuts and all the same. Still have that weird taste/film in my mouth. So sad, a good donut shouldn’t be that difficult to come by.

Got a dozen donuts from them yesterday morning for work. Half the donuts were cake stillness and they were all stale tasted like day old donuts. Awful!

Donuts… Is there anything they can’t do? Somewhere between Ventura and the 5 freeway lies this little donut shop on the 126. My boy and I stopped here one time on our way to go pier fishing, and it was a good choice. Hot, fresh donuts, and a very pleasant shopkeeper. We had a nice conversation about fishing, and donuts, and eating donuts while fishing. My son picked out some rainbowish thing, and I got my usual chocolate old fashioned. Both were delightful. You! With the Von’s cart with stale supermarket donuts in your bag! What’s wrong with you? Walk 100 yards and get a real donut!

Good donuts, no greasy film after taste! Hubs got the tiger bar which is a gigantic glazed crumb twist donut filled with cinnamon, chocolate & crumb, he gave it 2 thumbs up. Paired with my chocolate milk my maple bar hit the spot!

I only bought one because they were so big, but it was the best g-d donut I’ve had in my life. I had a Boston Crème, and it was warm, but the crème wasn’t warm, and the outside had a slight crunch — quite honestly — it was like biting into heaven. I am a big fan and will be back whenever in the area — may even drive there from Ojai. Wish he’d open a donut shop in Ojai… but then I’d weigh 300 lbs.

Best donuts I’ve had in many years. Yum! What a donut should be. The person was also very nice.

My co worker brings donuts from Moonlight Donuts every Friday. Though, I try to be good, I end up eating 2 donuts every time. Usually, the glaze, chocolate, and maple bars are the best. Donuts from here are fresh, fluffy, not as greasy as other donut shops. I swear these donuts must have msg in them since I start dozing off in the mornings after eating them.

I have been to a few donut places and there are something that I have had other places that have been better, however we are talking bout Moonlight Donuts. My favorite is their apple fritter. It is a massive mound of dark batter filled with apples and cinnamon. Theirs are coated in a glaze on the outside. When you bite in you don’t get a mouth full of oil but bits of apple, cinnamon and dough. I haven’t had a bad fritter from here yet. I haven’t had too much else from there but the service is alway nice, even at night. I always stop here when I am in the area. Bring cash or use the BofA ATM next door since this is a cash only joint.

On our way back from Camarillo indulgence, we were craving some doughy goodness. Not too familiar with the area, we happened into this joint. 24 hour donuts? Doesn’t bode well for freshness. Despite the warning signs, I resolutely pulled a $ 20 from the ATM next door and dove right in. The pastries looked decent enough, until we spotted a huge mosquito buzzing around the corner of the display case(how DO those things get in there??). Still determined, I ordered up my strawberry cruller and the bf got his sugar-coated donut. We dug in, his slightly too cakey and mine somewhat stale. Guess we shoulda just waited til we got home.

i go back and forth from Valencia to ventura once a week, and every other week i stop by and grab some Donuts for the long drive. There Glazed donuts are the best, fresh and taste so good. The ingredients they use are TOPNOTCH. Other place I stop by next to my work they taste like crap(soft and Mushey). Driving out to Moonlight for a Donuts is way worth it, u take 1 bite and your hooked.
