The price as cheap and there was a huge selection of food, which included a good bit of seafood from shrimp, crab, clams, and salmon. Was it stellar? No. Is any Chinese buffet stellar? Nope. The service was friendly and mostly competent. The food was not overly salty and there were three huge tables full of goodies. A large group of us in town for a wedding ate here and were treated nicely. It’s nothing to rave about but if you are feeling hangry you will get your fill.

Wide selection. Some foods could of been hotter. Generally, I found the food as good as any Buffet restaurant can do. At least 3 choice carving meats and barbeque ribs were good. Still had all the dishes found in a Buffet, Sushi, Mongolian, Crab legs. Priced right. Expect quantity, not Quality.

Very rude staff. Was waiting for 2 people in my party to come. They couldn’t make it. At the end when the check came they charged me for 5 people 3 adults and 2 children. Clearly I was at the table all night with just my kids. I went to the register and told them it was wrong and she corrected it. I was still eating dessert with the kids and all the staff. including the waitress that gave me the wrong check. Kept staring at us and trying to locate the other 2 adults. As far as lingering at my table OVERMYSHOULDER!!! Totally ridiculous! NEVERGOINGBACKTHERE. Where was I hiding them under the table???

For a Chinese buffet this is about as good as it gets. Good selection and food is generally fresh as there are always plenty of people here so food is constantly being replenished. This place is good for a visit two or three times a year when you really feel like strapping on the feed bag.

Only 2⁄3 dishes were half decent. Rest of the food was not fresh at all… Including the cut fruit. Probably not going back. Sorry.

This has got to be the worst Chinese buffet I’ve been to. Nothing looked appetizing. I tried simething with chicken. Couldn’t eat the chicken. It was terrible. Then i decided to go where the guy cooks for you on the grill. There too, the meats looked dried and bad, so I picked the veggies… mushrooms, broccoli, bean sprouts, snow peas and added ginger sauce. He over cooked it but thats as good as it gets. No I won’t be back. I’ll stick with King Buffet!

Thought the Hudson Buffet was great! Rolled in about 1:00pm this past October and was shocked /delighted by the $ 7.99 all you can eat price. Of all the dishes enjoyed, maybe one I didn’t return for a second helping. Loved the breakfast omelets as well as the baked ziti.(Ultra surprise how delicious that was). Plus I was there was a friend visiting from Japan and she loved it all. Soups also top notch, as well as the desserts. Will definitely return again and look forward to it.

I’ve seen and tastes better. But you can’t beat the price and the wide variety of food. Like many buffets like this you have to go at the right time so you know that the food is always being replenished instead of sitting there for a while. When you come here don’t expect super awesome and nice Chinese food because you’ll be disappointed. But come here knowing that it’s the typical«Americanized» Chinese food you find everywhere else in the Hudson valley. Being Asian I’ve seen much better but this is the closest and one of the few Asian buffets by me. So I deal with what I have.

Used to be good, but the quality has gone downhill, they start charging you dinner prices at 3:30 but some dinner dishes start coming out at 4:45. Everything fried tastes the same(are they using the same oil for everything?). Pastries are soggy and bland, fruit is frozen, shrimp is smaller than ever, oysters look like they were bought months ago. And yes, I did get sick after eating there. What a disappointment.

Typical Chinese buffet… same food as every where else. Sat by a window seat and was disgusted by the caked on dirt in the window sills. Looked like it has never been cleaned. Eeek!

Wow! We were very pleased with the Chinese Buffett selection! Food was very fresh! Their was a carving table which had turkey, ham, and roast beef even ribs on the bone to cut urself. Unlimited mussels, baby clams, and oysters, mussels and ribs were a bit cold but delicious! Omg the crab Rangoon was perfect! Pepper steak was the best as well as some peppered chicken! I don’t eat Sushi but it looked like a very nice sushi bar! A variety of fruits! Strawberries were tasty! We ended our experience with an ice cream cone! Very yummy! Toppings of all sorts! ***the one thing that I wonder if they do to several customers… Overcharge??? I happened to look at the bill and question why 40.00 for 2 people when it’s only $ 11.30 per person. The gentleman said he’d look into it? I found the response strange. Although it was straightened out. How many people look at the bill? Food for thought .??

Used to be a decent chinese buffet. Recently, it changed hands and the new owner decided to go cheap on everything. Quality disappeared and replaced with stale food which tastes all the same(all with tons of MSG). Are you thirsty after eating there? That’s the effect of MSG overdose. Even the snow crab legs are getting smaller. Noth worth going anymore.

This was one of the best buffets when they first opened but lately I’m not so impressed. Some of the booths need to be fixed and the variety isn’t as nice as it used to be. All in all it still draws a good crowd and has a big turnover of customers.

Loved this place. Bottomless crab legs, couldn’t stop eating the salt and pepper tempura shrimp absolutely delicious. Recommend this over all the chains in the area.

Not a frequent visitor to buffets, happened to stop at The Hudson Buffet for a fast dinner after work. A nice selection of food, the raw bar caught my eye. Lots of clams and oysters consumed by this seafood fan. Great sushi station as well, gentleman rolling sushi as I was taking. The other stuff your basic«American» Chinese fare. Was impressed with the Peking Duck, one of my Chinatown faves. The only thing wrong were the people. A nice tray of crab legs were brought out and if you are third on line you are lucky if you score 1. The mounds and mounds the first gentleman took, downright rude. There is a way to success if you are a weight watcher… remember steamed and grilled. A nice array of desserts satisfy the sweet tooth. All in all a good experience, oh and get the 10% coupon on the Internet to save a buck or two.

Have not dined out for a period of time now, and recently was suggested to try out this place, for the fanatic of oysters! To be honest, I’m giving this place a four star only because of the unlimited oysters that they provide, and the king crab legs and cold shrimps. Within the past month, I’ve been to this place 3 times already. I do not live around the area, yet my friend and I are willing to drive 2 hours from Jersey/City just for the oysters. Besides that, everything else I do not crave for. All others are just regular Chinese take-out style dishes. Selections on fruits are pretty well, with some dessert that looked like they were bought from else where. The service was nothing to complain about, they did what they needed to do, that’s all it needs. Now, the price at $ 12 weekend dinner buffet. that’s un-defeatable! I’m sure my friend and I ate over 50 pieces of oysters each time we visit, along with all the other food that we ate, $ 12 is definitely worth the drive! Tip: the wait is a bit long, ~30mins for a party of 6(for my most recent visit), but at a dinner hour, can’t complain much! Also, not everyone goes for the oyster(Americans aren’t big fans of raw food IMO).

Wow! I am surprised to find such a place while I was in the Catskill area. This is a Chinese buffet with a huge selection of food. They have fresh and sweet crab legs and ginger and scallion crabs! And the food there was actually hot and fresh! I was surprised that there was a long line when we went there around 6:30 pm on a friday night, but we got our table fairly quicky(about 15 mins). They also have lots of fruits and desserts to pick from and a soft serve ice cream machine ^^ I took off one star because the service wasn’t good. But what can you expect at a buffet?
