I was so excited to hear that there was going to be an Ice Cream Truck serving Gluten Free Ice cream at the Walkway Over the Hudson. Not only was I happily surprised with the look of the truck (I remember this truck from last year), the Pretzel Chocolate Chip Caramel swirl Frozen Custard was AMAZING!!! I mean, really fantastic. Probably the best I’ve had in a long time, and it catered to the Gluten Free/​Celiac community, which was such a bonus! Not just Vanilla or Chocolate, but handmade Cherry Garcia, Banana Cinnamon & Bacon Maple… did you hear that? Bacon Maple! AWESOME! Can’t wait to see you guys again at another event… hopefully soon!

I can’t even begin to express my love for this «ice cream truck.» It’s honestly one of my absolute favorite parts of summer in the Hudson Valley. My husband and I completely freak out whenever we hear it coming down the street, and then proceed to run out the front door like giddy, little children.
In reality, this isn’t technically an ice cream truck, but a frozen custard truck. They serve frozen custard, Italian sorbet, frozen pickles, and even some of the more random ice pops that you would normally find in the inventory of a less cool ice cream truck.
Personally, I always get a frozen custard ice cream sandwich (mostly due to the fact that they are more than insanely good). And the best part of all of this? The toppings. Chocolate crunchies are most definitely my weakness, and chocolate crunchies are an option here. Those things honestly make the entire experience for me. The custard is truly amazing on its own, but the custard with some chocolate-​y crunchy goodness added into the mix? Unbeatable.
