Love Carl’s Jr., but the one in flagstaff is consistently terrible, not always open at opening time, dirty, out of biscuits at 6:30 in the morning? What’s up with that?

Worst Carl’s jr I have ever been to. All tables were dirty they where out of medium cups. The soap was empty in the bathroom. They were out of ranch so the zucchini had nothing to dip in. My wife’s burger came without any lettuce or tomato. And I live here. Guess no Carl’s jr for me anymore

What happened to all of my fellow Mexicans who worked at Carls Jr? Since they left the food has gone downhill. I had a combo about a month ago and the meat was flat and very thin. Today I went back to try it out again and I had the battered cod combo and the fish was bland and half the fries were burned, the girl at the front was not rude, but not friendly either — I think she was stressed. The people who worked there previously were always smiling, courteous and helpful. I used to enjoy going to Carls Jr. I will wait a month to see if they can get organized and friendly.

Whenever I visit a Carl’s Junior with my friends, I always have one question upon leaving, Why do Carl’s Jr’s. have a Jr. in their names. Whatever happened to Carl’s Sr. You see, I was under the impression that whoever this Carl of whom the restaurant was named after had either had no heirs and as a result considered each of his restaurants to be his namesake children for the purpose of giving himself some sense of purpose; or that he was actually a robot for no real reason other than the fact that I wanted to fantasize about owning a robot named Carl for two minutes. A quick look at the Carl’s Jr. Wikipedia entry solved that riddle, and I found out that Carl’s Jr. is in fact a scion of Carl’s Drive-In Barbeque, which was the larger and older version of Carl’s Junior. It gets even weirder, when you consider that later on Carl’s Jr. became the flagship restaurant of the and overtook Carl’s Sr. in attracting customers through its doors. In summation, Carl’s Jr. had an Oedipal complex, which resulted in the downfall of its father. That’s pretty deep stuff. Why is it important to tell this story? Because when it comes down to the quality of their food, Carl’s Jr. is just that, a junior. It is a fast food restaurant pretending to be more upscale by advertising its chicken tenders as hand breaded and by offering upscale ingredients like guacamole and swiss cheese on their thin charbroiled burgers, which are tasty but have too much bread. The chicken tenders were hand breaded but they tasted like pre-breaded chicken tenders. There was nothing special about them. While their food was passable for what it was, The service and the professionalism of its staff was poor. Although there was nobody aside from me inside this restaurant, it was pretty dirty(I had a hard time finding a clean table) and there were no napkins or ketchup to be found on the counter or anywhere else. I had to ask for both. Also, I don’t appreciate the stream of cussing that I heard coming from the back of the room. It should be noted that I have a severe hearing impairment and wasn’t wearing my hearing aids when I went in, which goes to show how loud this woman was. Why the three stars you ask? Well, I was thinking of giving it a two, but the reality is, the man who took my order was very helpful and courteous and the food was pretty good. I do not normally go to places like this, but I would probably visit it again. Had the place been cleaner and the cussing lower, and less annoying, I would have given it a 4 star rating given that it is a fast food restaurant.

I like Carl’s Jr. in general. Their burgers are good, and as a bonus they serve them starting early in the morning. Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger at breakfast FTW!

Carl’s J. has what I think are the best burgers you can get for fast food. They got so many options from low price to the higher 6 dollar range. Now when they get more expensive it’s not just because then can change you that. No it’s because they loaded that burger with goodness on a larger patty. So when you’re really hunger don’t load up on a bunch a dollar menu crap. just get one bugger that will fill you up. The Big Carl is my favorite but then the Memphis burger special is in I have to go with that every time. Another plus is the offer lots of 10% discounts. including students. I’ll take tax off my order any day.

In my opinion, the best burgers you can get from a drive-thru window on Milton Rd. Yes, there are better burgers in Flagstaff, but not with the particular aforementioned caveats. The service is average for fast food, and that’s fine. I’ve never been inside so I can’t speak to the cleanliness or ambiance. I like the western burger and the chicken sandwiches are decent. The $ 6 burger series is a decent value and a satisfying meal. The fries aren’t the best fast food fries but they’re not bad. They have the skin which makes me think they’re fresh cut, but they’re not. Remember it’s fast food, not on the level with higher end burger chains or local, cash-only, english muffin burger, so adjust your expectations and enjoy.

I go to fast food for comfort — I know that what I order is what I will get. Prepared the same way in AZ, as it is in CA, as it is in CO. But not here… Stale bun on the sandwich, fries that were all small and cold. They were even out of ice when I went to fill my drink. Come on! Karcher is probably rolling in his grave.

If you like your burger«well done» and drier than a mouth-full of sand, enjoy! Stay away from onion rings too… No onion left in the ring, only breading. Meat is cold and burned badly. Call 911!

The service was awful! Burgers were flattened out and looked like a truck ran it over. Tasted like that might be the case also. We will never go back. Our feet stuck to the floor and the bathroom had toilet paper hanging out of the toilet. The health inspectors should visit this place.

For fast food this place certainly is slow. Every time you come in, no one greets you or is even at the register for several minutes. I watch people walk out and those who stay never get an apology for the wait… This is just customer service 101. Don’t even get me started on when they double charge you or don’t give you your discount. Not even worth trying to resolve it.

Came on a trip from Cali. Didn’t taste very good. Asked for bag of sauce and bag of napkins. Didn’t get the order right.
