Best pizza on the island! If you like New York style thin crust, then this is the place to go. Their 18 inch is large enough for our family of four with slices leftover. All their ingredients are fresh and delicious.

My family is originally from the north east and have learned that down south, finding a good and authentic New York-style pizza is nearly mission impossible. But then! We found New York pizza! So far this is the closest we’ve found to the pizza we used to get up north. The crust is on point and the toppings are always fresh. My only complaint is the customer service. the past few times I’ve come in to pick up our order, the staff has been rude and we’ve had to wait 10 – 20 minutes longer than our given pick-up time(got a lot of eye rolls coming in ONTIME to pick up from the staff). In addition, our last order, they had run out of a topping for the pizza that we had ordered, but instead of telling us or calling us back to ask if we still wanted the pizza, they made it anyway without the topping and it wasn’t until I came in to pick up the pizza(what was supposed to be a replica of a family favorite from back home) that I was informed that they went ahead and made the pizza without all the toppings. They assured us «not to worry! We deducted the additional cost of that topping from your bill» no apology. Just a pizza we didn’t order, an additional 20 minute wait, and poor customer service. We will still get our pizza fix from this restaurant as it is the best in town, but the customer service could use improvement. Otherwise we may just revert to Dominos.

A couple things that I look for when I see«New York» in a pizza places name. One: garlic knots and the flavor was good but they were dry. They need olive oil and not the buttery garlic sauce, also they should be baked to order not just baked and reheated. Two: pizza dough! And it was awesome! The sauce was so good! We ordered a Buffalo chicken Pizza and a Pepperonie for the kids. The Pepperonis are HUGE! it was a quite place to dine which is always a plus! We will be back!

Best pizza around since brick oven delivery. Cheese is genuine and the size if the pepperoni is as big as a desert plate.

I was not impressed, kids behind the counter helping themselves as if they were at home. Parents the Manager just watching and allowing the kids to do this. Pizza? Not much favor not sure what all these great reviews are talking about. It was ok but the handling the food by the kids? To me not acceptable.

Visited this nice restaurant for the first time tonight and really enjoyed it! The atmosphere was good, roomy, clean and some good music being broadcast throughout. We ordered an 18″ pizza with pepperoni and fresh mushrooms. It came out in a decent amount of time and was quite good. The ingredients were very good as well as the flavor. Crust was decent and wasn’t «wet» like you can get at some restaurants. I was also pleasantly surprised to find the have a larger pizza than the 18-inch we ordered. I believe it’s a 24-inch but not absolutely sure of that. The bigger pizza would be good for the 4 of us on a movie night or football night! We also ordered a few of the Garlic Knots. They were awesome! The girl hooked us up with extra garlic butter on them and with the marinara sauce they were excellent and highly recommended. Also pretty cool that you order them individually at .50 each. They were a little bigger than I expected also! The staff was pleasant and helpful. Great Job! We may not go here for every pizza we order, but we will go back for sure!!! In the future, we need to try their wings, Lasagna, salads, Meatball Subs and more. You should definitely give them a try!!!

This was my second time giving them a try. The first time I was underwhelmed by the Pizza but they were pretty new. I just chalked it up to being a new place. This time I had a friend in town that wanted pizza so I thought I would give them another try. Again they fell short. The pizza crust has a nice flavor and bite to it but the pizza overall was very dry. not enough sauce, not enough cheese. In my humble opinion an 18 inch pizza NYSTYLE should be a little greasy from the toppings. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in NYC in my lifetime and sorry. but this isn’t even close. I love to support local family owned businesses but not sure I will go back a 3rd time but I do wish them luck.

So I decided to check this place out after a friend recommended it. It’s a small little restaurant snuggled in between little beans children’s resale and I can’t remember the other store. There’s plenty of seating and it looks and smells clean. The menu is straightforward and basic. Pizza, calzones, typical Italian dishes. We opted for a large 18″ speciality pizza. Half BBQ chicken and half margherita. $ 20 after tax. Took about 10 – 15 mins to come out. But when it did, it was huge and steaming hot! I was confused as to why the chicken was breaded on the BBQ side as it’s usually grilled. But nevertheless it was still tasty. I felt as though the margherita side was missing that special zing, but it was tasty too. We ordered some garlic knots which were very good. But at .50 each, they can get pricey, quickly. During school season I’ve seen this place PACKED with students. I’m guessing they are there for the $ 1 per slice pizza. We will definitely be back as we love supporting local, family owned businesses and not the nasty chains. 3.5 star rating.

Located across from the Fleming Island High School, New York Pizza is a great place for residents and visitors to grab some great food. The menu items I have tried so far include a calzone, a Sicilian pizza, and garlic knots. The first garlic knots I had were heaven with garlic all over them. They were warm, soft, and smothered with real minced garlic and butter. And at $ 0.50 each, who can go wrong?! Just make sure you get them fresh. The last two times I had them they were not exactly soft and warm, and also tasted like they had been sitting in a warmer for a while. The calzone was huge, and served two people for two separate meals. They are a little pricey, but delicious! You may want to ask for extra marinara if you’re a Big Dipper like myself. Lastly, the Sicilian. I personally didn’t enjoy it as much as I had hoped. The pizza was huge and looked absolutely delicious, but the look did not match the taste or cost. This pizza seemed to be lacking something, but I can’t put my finger on it. If you do order this one, expect a huge crust that is actually very airy. And also make sure you aren’t double charged for toppings.(We were and had to go back in for a refund) I have yet to try the actual New York pizza, so that’s next on the list! Perhaps I will try one of their lunch specials for next time.

So, I’m a fan of New York Pizza. I don’t think it is as good as pizza gets, or that it deserves a full 4 stars… maybe 3.5. The owners are local, which is a plus in my book, but their product just isn’t wiz-bang quality. We’ve now had food from the NY pizza twice(well, 3 times if you include the 4 garlic knots we ordered on their own). First go-round we ordered a calzone and garlic knots — the calzone was well done in that it was very tasty, cheesy, and well proportioned as far as toppings go. The crust was just right and OMG the garlic buttery goodness they baste on top… YUM. The garlic knots are topped with the same spread that is just so good but you can tell it’s oh-so bad for the arteries… oh well. We were decently happy with our food, so we ordered again… Or official second time ordering was just for 4 garlic knots as an add on to our homemade food… but we were disappointed that the garlic knots were«ready whenever you get here»… meaning they were sitting around, getting cold. They were indeed cold and needed to be microwaved when we got them home… The«sicilian» is their square cut, thick crust pan pizza. It wasn’t my favorite pizza, I’ll just say that. It didn’t taste very authentic, but then again this is «the New York pizza.» At $ 18 for a one topping, we won’t be getting it again. I’ve had much better pizza for much less. We had an issue with the check to begin with(getting double charged for the pepperoni) — the owner was very easy to work with to get it resolved, but it was surprising to hear her say that they don’t sell many sicilians with toppings and this is the first anyone has said anything about the way it gets charged… Their New York pizza is very large, round shaped, and thin-looking. We have yet to try it. A plus is that they do sell it by the slice, but I’m not sure how long it has been sitting out. Each time we’ve been in to grab our order I’ve noticed that this place seems to be a high-school hangout, so the pizza-by-the-slice must be there for this crowd. I might partake in this to try out this style before I pay for a whole one. It’s a conveniet, alright pizza place with amazing garlic knots. Those aren’t that hard to make… so I give them 3 stars for being a decent pizza place in FI.

I ordered a pepperoni and veggie pie. They were a unique taste but not like a New York City pizza. The crust was good but not crispy and it didn’t seem to have enough cheese for my taste. Next time I go I’ll just try a plain slice.

Tried NY pizza for the first time and it was great! Not a huge fan of mellow mushroom and I think chain pizza is over rated. I will hands down be choosing NY pizza before any other in Fleming Island.

We don’t eat chain food pizza and sometimes Mellow mushroom can be a little costly, so we tried NY pizza. The first time we went there, we weren’t really a fan. The pizza had way too much sauce to cheese ratio, crust couldn’t even hold it BUT the flavor of the sauce was amazing so… we gave them another try. Second time around was great! The prices are good. The pizza’s have huge slices(which we love), and during the week when my son is craving a slice you can’t beat the $ 1 cheese slices. We love this place, and it’s now one of our go to pizza places now. Definitely worth a try!

Pizza is a hard thing to rate. Everyone likes it a different way. We got take out over thanksgiving weekend. The kids got pepperoni which they loved. They had had it before. The Hawaiian was pretty good. But the margherita was awful. Not enough cheese and the fresh basil was cooked on the pizza. The basil became hard and gritty; very hard to chew. The crust is good. Its crispy and thin with good texture. Personally this is not my favorite pizza joint. But my kids enjoy it.

This place is FANTASTIC! The food is so good. The mozzarella sticks are the best we have ever had. And their chicken wings are fresh. Not a lot of places use this type of wing sauce. My kids go here everyday after school. And the employes are all so nice. Fleming Island is lucky to have this place.
