I love this place for Sunday breakfast. The pancakes are so good, my fav is the pecan pancakes with maple syrup. The service is fast and has always been friendly. If you go on Sunday expect to wait. And parking can be a challenge around 1pm. However this is definitely one of my go to places.

Probably the worst Cracker Barrel I have eaten at. We have tried several times just to be sure it wasn’t just a one off type experience but unfortunately the service and food are both bad. Today we were seated at a dirty table, I had to ask someone to take our order after being ignored for 20 minutes, my husbands meatloaf was raw, his silverware was dirty and then I had to track the waiter down to get our ticket. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area. I would suggest you go elsewhere. Shame because Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite chains just not this one.

Visit 1 Chicken Fried Chicken With Steak Fries, Corn, And Macaroni And Cheese as my 3 sides. Presentation: It definitely looked the part with the chicken and the sides all look proper. My only complaint on this is they could have probably consolidate things onto the plate instead of bringing everything separate and taking up a ton of table space. As you can see on my picture it easily all fits on my plate. 6 out of 10 Taste: Cracker Barrel has some of the best gravy on the planet and this dish really gives it a chance to shine. The black pepper in the gravy really works with the juicy chicken. I really can’t think of anything to improve it. The steak fries are big but could use some flavour. The mac and cheese is not as good as I would expect from Cracker Barrel. Corn is corn. 9 out of 10 Service: My server had a good heart but was a bit on the ditsy side. Still did the job. 7 out of 10 Final Analysis: When you come to this location you know you’re going to have to wait a bit to sit down(we waited 15 minutes this time) but the food makes it well worth it. This particular dish is really awesome. Check out their store too for some unique items. 9 out of 10

You can never go wrong with Cracker Barrel! There is really nothing negative to say. This location is great! It’s right off the highway, it’s a great location in Florence, and it’s an easy in and out! Their fried okra is the best. Fish fry Friday’s is amazing. I wish everyday was fish fry friday! If i could decorate my house like their store I would, even one room! That’s my goal in life. I need a room in my house with those country living decorations! Also, those rocking chairs… You can’t go wrong with having a food coma outside on them. Let’s be real, that’s the real reason why they are there.

This Cracker Barrel is setup backwards from every other one I’ve been. It throws me off. Anyway, I have ate at this location twice for breakfast. They were busy, so things weren’t perfect. I tried the strawberries and cream french toast they are pushing and thought, meh. I suggest stick with the regular french toast. They do a great job of cooking eggs over easy. Over medium is more of an over easy. They did mess up one of the orders but quickly corrected. Service is alway friendly and this store is in a convenient location.

Awesome resturant! I take away one star because they make you take your tab and wait in line to pay. I hate when they do that!

Pros: you walk in and they have a old time store that has reasonably priced items. You get greeted right away and personally I love that! Then they take you to your seat. The first thing you see is all the décor and it’s awesome to see old treasures! The place is very clean. The waiters are nice and they get the food to you really quick! The dish I personally love is the country fried chicken, mashed potatoes w/gravy, and corn. You’ll never be dissolved with the food no matter what you get. You will get a large food proportion and it’s worth it! On your way out you go through the store again and the greeters say goodbye too! Simply an awesome place. Cons: the only bad experience I had here was our waiter was sick. She coughed and some gunk came out of her mouth and on to one of our forks. She didn’t apologize or get us a new fork. Good thing you get a spoon too. Waiters should not come to work that sick in my opinion. In all I think this place deserves five stars! It’s an awesome family place and I will always come back to get my favorite meal.

Cracker Barrel is a theme restaurant and the theme is an old time country store. While waiting for your table you either wait outside and rock away on one of their many rocking chairs or you peruse the kick-knacks, candy, junk food, baby clothes, grandma clothes, and other assorted goods-only some of them fitting into the nostalgia theme, while others fit into the theme of «home shopping network.» I fight the compulsion to buy Yankee Candles, chocolate, and soda every time that I visit the Barrel. I’ve been to this location twice and both times I had breakfast foods. This past Saturday I visited with my cousin and my mom. I had the blueberry pancakes, eggs, and bacon. It was delicious as always and of course, too much food for one person. Our server was very friendly. She brought plenty of apple butter for my cousin’s biscuits and had a smile on her face the whole time she waited on our table. My family left stuffed, and satisfied.

It’s been 3 years since my last up to date review of Cracker Barrel, I still give it a thumbs UP!!! I come here often since then. This was a special day, because my girlfriends Toey, son David and his friend Sascha, they were heading back to Germany. I wanted to take them to my favorite breakfast place and of course we did on Sunday morning July 3rd2014. I ordered my favorite breakfast. The French toast with xtra maple syrup with a side order of the hash brown casserole… yummy. Toey ordered the healthier side, fruit n yogurt with egg beaters. David order steak n eggs. He gave me a piece. The steak was rare a tender. It was good. Sascha ordered pan cakes. Overall I’m coming back here again, again and again.

It’s good eating for dinner, but be prepared to wait — there always seem to be a wait to get seated and get your food in here. I got the grilled catfish dinner and my husband the campfire beef meal to go. Good eating with good sized portions.

Solid CB experience. They’re all pretty much the same, which is why we stop here when we’re on Interstate early in the morning. Me and Uncle Hersch are pretty solid.

I love cracker barrles. I ussualy have mine to go/take out to mu hotel room. The best part, my hampton is just beside the store… So walking is alot faster. Order the usual meat loafs with 2 order dumplings and carrots. Plus 1 order of deep fried chicken livers and 2 stewarts orange cream. Meat loafs and dumpling is consistant with the rest of other cracker barrel locations, but my chcken livers are fried a tad too long… It get to crispy. But this doesnt discourage me from returning to their other location.

If you like home cooked food and chain stores, this is the perfect place. I felt like I was in there with a lot of people over double my age and it was comfy and country, but not so much my kind of restaurant. I didn’t have breakfast but think I would enjoy this kind of place for breakfast food. I had their chicken salad and it was okay but pretty heavy even for a salad. The concept of the country store when you walk in was neat and they have lots of fun candies and knick knacks to browse. A fun novelty.

Came here on the weekend in the morning, crowded, but there wasn’t much of a wait! The service is always fast and good. I’ve been to Cracker Barrel before and the food has always been simple, but still pretty good. Since they offer healthier options, I decided to try it. I got the multi-grain pancakes with eggs and turkey sausage. I usually have orange juice with my breakfast, but I love their raspberry lemonade, yummy! My sister had multi-grain pancakes n berries(blackberry pancakes, blackberries on top and served with warm raspberry syrup). I love raspberries so I’m in no way biased, but the raspberry syrup was definitely better than regular maple syrup! Overall, I like going to Cracker Barrel when I want a simple breakfast or lunch.

This is my ‘safe place’ when I just want good hot food and fast service. The grilled tenders and fried apples are my favorite but all the food is really good. I like to try new places but I KNOW that I will never regret cracker barrel!

While making the return trip from Spring Break during high school we stopped at a Cracker Barrel somewhere in Alabama. I’ve had some pretty funny experiences in Cracker Barrels across the country, but none like this. A friend and I were the gracious host of another friend’s family, and his father was on wits end. We were making lousy time and the poor man just wanted to get home. After our meal his wife was piddling around in the«general store» portion, and finally after 20 minutes he snapped. «DANGITNANCY! YOUSEENONEFREAKINGCRACKERBARRELYOU’VESEEN ‘EMALL!!!» Granted, this is the cleaned up version, but you get the idea. Never has Jerry Flaherty belted out such truer words. These places exist all over the country, mainly in the South, West, and Midwest, located near highways and touristy areas. They speicalize in selling chitchy crap in their general store, while you wait to be served that down home cooking food that rekindles a past that probably never really was. This paradigm has worked great for me in the past, but sadly in my recent journeys to the Cracker Barrel I have been served up a heaping helping of nostalgia when it was a better restaurant. The menu, at least the breakfast menu, hasn’t really changed in what they offer in years, which is fine. What isn’t fine is the quality of the food. If I’m dropping 8 bucks or more on breakfast food with an obscene profit margin it better darned well not look like it came from a TV dinner, and sure as heck fire not taste like one either. Watery eggs, spongy sausage, burnt bacon all just tossed on a plate. The one bright spot on their menu was the whole grain pancakes, which I believe had fruit in them. The girlfriend has evolved into a total health snob, but gosh darn it she loved these things, and if I recall they weren’t terrible for you, granted if they were not covered in their delicious syrup. We went last Monday specifically for these pancakes, and it turns out that it was a limited time only event. We knew it was too good to be true to think that something actually healthy would last on the Cracker Barrel menu. No frills about it. Expect long waits on the weekends and after church. Their pancakes, both the special ones and regular ones, are the best items on the menu. The syrup is to die for. But that’s about it. Everything else is mediocre at best, and heck you are better off going to a Waffle House for the price and quality of food. After going to these places in at least 6 states, Jerry was indeed correct, they all are the same, and almost every time you can certainly do better.

I don’t understand why there are so few non-chain places to eat breakfast in NKY(or maybe I just don’t know about them… if so PLEASE educate me!). I wanted to grab something for breakfast this morning and this seemed like the best of the options. Like my rating reflects… it was just«OK». The service was fine, the food was decent, the atmosphere was good(especially since the ditched the smoking section… this was just on one side of the place and was NOT separated very well). It’s decent but not great… I’m still waiting to find that little place in NKY that serves excellent breakfast at a reasonable price. The search still goes on!

OK… this is one of what… 50 Cracker Barrel stores that you will pass by between Michigan and Florida? If you have traveled I-75 you recognize the name, know what to expect, and plan accordingly. As my mother said«this is a store made for grandma’s» and it certainly is true. The country store is chocked full of Chinese made items that would look perfect on an end table covered with lace in the living room of any mobile home in the South. Then there is the restaurant. Peace and quiet exists until the first minivan arrives and after the last minivan departs. Sound insulation is unheard of, so if two children have a temper tantrum the other 100 or so people have to just sit there and hope it ends, since parents don’t discipline their children anymore. Oooops, I slipped off topic! Back to the food. I received a helpin’ heapin’ of sodium and little flavor. The roast beef dinner I had was more fat and grizzle than edible meat and smothered in a high sodium gravy. The okra was tasteless(then again, have you ever had okra that was just bursting with flavor)? The biscuits were dry, but not dry enough to resemble a urinal hockey puck. The mashed potatoes were fresh out of a box and smothered in gravy(see a theme going here)? My waitress went m.i.a. for about 20 minutes leaving me to eat ice to dilute the salty dry mouth I had from the flavorless meal. Sadly, this store will probably never close from lack of business since its a rock/snowball distance throw from the interstate. If you can curb your hunger for just a bit, there are others very close to this store and should not be any worse than this joint(and God help us if they are).
