Wonderful food and super great folks! Was our first time here and they gave us samples to help us decide what to order. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork and sausage. Everything was outstanding. Best brisket I have ever had. Convenient location right off of I-95. They were so fantastic I even emailed the company! You’ll won’t leave hungry for sure and the prices are great!

My notion of bbq restaurant is either a sit down place that serves bbq, has a server who fills your drinks, etc or a walk up to order window, nothing fancy, with picnic tables outside. Dickies is something of a hybrid. The have, a clean restaurant but don’t have servers. You walk up to the counter slightly nicer than what you find at an average fast food place. In fact, they have a drive thru! Drive thru bbq! Crazy! I ordered the rib plate combo. It’s a great deal! You get 5 rib pieces(they had a good amount of meat, which was tender and well cooked) bread, pickles and two sides(bbq baked beans & fried Okra) for $ 12! I add a «blondie brownie» for desert(not sure it was home made but was more than satisfying, I wish they had the option of adding ice cream, whipped cream or even warmed up but once again it’s not a fancy place) They have self serve sauce available on the side(in a warmer) as well as a station for other condiments and plastic single use utensils. Kinda like what you’d find at a fast food restaurant. Over all the food was delicious! The sauce is tomato based, not spicy, a little sweet but not bad don’t get me wrong it’s not out of this world special. Bbq Dinner and a desert for under $ 20. Not a bad deal, I’d be hard pressed to find a deal like this where I’m from… mostly because they are not set up like Dickies! All that really matters is how good the Bbq is and whether you want more… if I was in the area I’d come back!

The pluses: I ordered the pork plate and it was delicious! The brisket my boyfriend ordered, was also good. The sides are of good portion sizes. And you get a free souvenir cup! The free ice cream was a nice touch! It was our first time to a Dickeys and it was fine. Like a previous post said for being road food(which it was for us) it was perfect! Some things to work on: 1– how do you end up out of sides at 7pm on a Sat?(Mac & cheese and Cole slaw especially) 2– there was no cutlery– they were out of that too! 3– put up a sign of things you’re out of so people know and you don’t have to repeat it over and over.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Ribs can be ordered dry. Several options of sauce to be added to your taste. My favorite was the original sauce and the sweet sauce. The brisket was extra lean(the best)! Indeed the best brisket I’ve had outside of Texas! Bonus: self serve ice cream for dessert!

I don’t know what was colder the food or the customer service. If this had been my first visit to a Dickey’s, I would say I wouldn’t go back. We frequent the Dickey’s in Durham so we’ve always enjoyed the food. This place was a disservice to Dickey’s brand, at least tonight it was. We arrived shortly after 6 on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was virtually empty. The girl who took our order seemed impatient to the point of being rude. When we placed our order every side item we requested we were told they were out of. It got to the point where we just asked what they did have. I should have just walked out and headed to another restaurant.

Fast food BBQ. Large portions and innovative sides. Suggest sharing larger plates unless you’re really hungry. Small place but very friendly staff.

Great Location… I’ve had Dickey’s before but this was by far the best experience I’ve had at one. Walk in, staff greeted me with a smile. I got the Monday special, BBQ pork sandwich. Pork was delicious, juicy and tender. Got the creamy coleslaw and Mac and cheese for my sides, both were good not the best but still good. I also got a ¼ pound side of brisket, which was also delicious. Top everything off with some Sweet Tea that was perfect to me… Only thing that I would of like better is if my brisket was a little bit warmer. But all and all, for the price, can’t complain. I will be back to this location

We came in on a weekday around dinner time and almost turned around because the restaurant was empty. But I had looked at reviews on here that said it was great so we decided to chance it. The restaurant itself is nice and clean and the people working there are very friendly but the food was just meh. I got the thursday deal of the day which was the spicy cheddar sausage, pulled pork, and a choice of two sides. I got the bbq beans and the macaroni and cheese. My husband ordered the 3 meat plate with brisket, ribs, and ham. His two sides were onion tanglers and baked potato casserole. The biggest problem we had with the food was that everything was cold. We didn’t wait long to eat it but the distance from the cash register to a table apparently was long enough for the food to get quite cold. The cheddar sausage would have been better if it were warm but cold as it was, it tasted extremely greasy and just plain icky. The pork was better. I covered it in sauce they had in warmers by the soda machines so it brought it up to slightly above room temperature. The macaroni n cheese was a solid congealed mass that looked extremely unpalatable but wasn’t too bad. The beans were fine. They were the warmest thing on my plate. The hockey puck of a roll was just eh. For my husband’s plate, the brisket was the best. It was cold but it still tasted great. It was tender, juicy, and smokey. The ham wasn’t anything impressive. Just cold smoked slices of ham about on par with the spiral sliced ham you can buy in most grocery stores. The ribs were alright though. The meat was tender, juicy and practically fell off the bones. He enjoyed both of his sides but the baked potato casserole was cold too. The onion tanglers seems like they were fresh because they were still warm when he started eating them. All in all, I don’t plan on returning here. The food just wasn’t good enough to warrant the almost 30 dollar bill for just two of us. It likely would have been much better if it wasn’t cold but since it was… Not again.

Loved it! Great food, great value, even before the free ice cream! We had the brisket dinner and the Saturday special(Chopped brisket sandwich and 2 sides for $ 8.99). We will definitely stop here again on the next road trip.

Wonderful surprise to find this quality of food at an interstate interchange. Good service and three kinds of BBQ sauce. Each item we tried was delicious. Great find!

Food was delicious! My husband and I both got the 2 meat plate, pulled pork and brisket. The pulled pork was juicy and tender the brisket was perfectly smoked. The sides were a little on the spicy side but if you like spice the flavoring was very good. The free ice cream was a nice touch to go with delicious warm apple cobbler. I would come back.

I wrote a very scathing review and I stand behind it as it was my true experience, but I have to give credit where credit is due. I have been contacted by 2 different managers, Randy and Shonda. They were very apologetic and willing to do what was necessary to make it right. I will give Dickeys another visit and change my rating of my experience improves because I appreciate the effort made these 2 managers.

Great stop in Florence! Was hesitant to stop here based on a visit to our local Dickey’s in VA but this Florence restaurant was awesome! My husband and I had the Friday special plate and our son had the pulled pork sandwich. Servings are huge, meat is tender and sides are delicious. Best fried okra I’ve had at a BBQ place. Both the Brunswick stew and Stampede stew are recommended. The variety of sauces please all palates. A free soft serve cone or root beer float at the end is a nice touch! Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Staff was pleasant and appreciated our compliments on their delicious BBQ. If you are hungry for good BBQ in Florence right off 95… Dickeys is a great choice.

Very unfriendly service. The staff didn’t smile and looked like they were having a bad day. We had to ask for rolls that should have came with our meals. The rib serving was only 3 ribs, and the meat had fallen off one. It was highly overpriced for the portion($ 24 for 1 quarter plate and 12-meat plate). The ice cream(free) was poor quality(mix?) and the cones were stale. The mac & cheese was a solid glob. The bathroom trash can was far away from the door so employees would contaminate their hands when exiting. The 1 star rating is for the excellent rolls and the pork wasn’t too bad either. However, I would never ever go again.

We stopped at Dickeys on a road trip to NYC from Florida. The food was really excellent. We had the brisket which was some if the best I’ve had and the pulled pork. We also had the cole slaw, beans, Mac and cheese and fried onions. All were fresh and tasty. Definitely a step above road food. Would go back again for sure.

Thoroughly satisfying and convenient. We stopped by on a road trip from NJ to Orlando to fill our BBQ craving, and Dickeys delivered. Best BBQ in the south? Not really, but you could easily do a lot worse. I got pulled pork and brisket, which was smokey and tasty. The pork was the moister of the two, so that was the one I preferred of the two. Coleslaw was amazing, fresh and cool tasting. Other sides were good but not outstanding. There’s free ice cream in the dining room, but it’s ok at best. Free is free, so I had a cone to finish up my meal. Overall a very pleasant meal served by friendly staff and a clean dining room. I would definitely stop back again.
