Frischs Big Boy

Arrived at Big Boy at 8:30 and it was a ghost town. I looked online and it said «closing soon» and all the employees were standing by a car smoking so we left and went to Bob Evans. After having an absolutely disgusting meal at Bob Evans, we walk out and Big Boy was so crowded it looked like a commercial. So 1. fix your info online and 2. Stop allowing the entire night shift to mingle in the far edges of the parking lot.

We stopped here on a road trip recently, at a time of day when it wasn’t incredibly busy. I wasn’t entirely sold on stopping here, but my wife had fond memories of eating at Big Boy when she was younger. Bottom line — if you happen to be in the area, do yourself a favor and drive on down the street to any number of other restaurants. I would include stopping at McDonalds or Burger King as WAY better options, and I typically avoid the fast food places like the plague.
The place wasn’t clean, the service was slow, and the food quality was some of the worst I’ve had in my life. I ended up just adding the salad bar and filling myself up on low-​quality salad fixings before hitting the road again.

I really enjoyed this place for lunch. For about 6 bucks you can hit up the soup and salad bar. The salad bar isn’t big by any means, but I give this place four stars because everything was completely filled, clean and fresh during the lunch time. Everything was great from the chicken tortilla soup to the little banana nut muffins. I would take over a smaller fresh salad bar than a huge one that’s been sitting out for hours any day!

Frisch’s been going here for years. Really enjoy there Big boy, like there tarter sauce in the Big Boy. They do also have the best cherry coke, what I like about it. Is there crushed ice with regular coke mixed with a shot of cherry syrup. I would drink 4 – 5 at least at one sitting. there breakfast buffet, not to much of a fan of. Scrambled eggs taste like yellow foam. Most of it is bland, I guess it’s or the older people. I am glad they tore the old building down. it use to be jalopies and I think before that, it was a ribs place. Well any the new restaurant makes the food taste better.

I am a fan of Frisches and normally get the Big Boy but was craving a fish sandwich.
I was seated quickly. I looked around and noticed the restaurant was more modern (many updates). The restaurant was somewhat dirty but it was really because they were crazy busy.
I sat, my order was promptly taken, and served. I have no complaints about the service. My fish sandwich was severely overcooked.
Since I am really about the food, I have to give it 2 stars. I will go back and hopefully raise my rating when I order the Big Boy sandwich.
Overall Recommendation:
— Order the Big Boy — the sandwich is named after the crazy statue in the front.
I wish you better luck than I had.

I’m giving it four stars because since I was a kid this place still has awesome big boys with the best tartar sauce and perfect hot fudge cake.
I like the dependability. You know its going to be good as you remember.
Most of the time I get salad, cottage cheese, and vegetable soup with croutons. Always good, reasonable, close to work, and the place looks and feels clean.
