What has happened to this place??? Tattered stained menus. Waitress asked for my menu back(I had not ordered yet) so it could go to another customer. Bartender was our waitress at the table because they were short staffed. We got there at 715… Finally got dessert at 10:30. Took forever to get our main course… Which was ok/fair. Dessert was not good. For 145.00 I should have gone somewhere else. Not coming back here. This place has gone done hill.

Great find in the neighborhood! Have seen the place in passing for a couple of years, just never had made it in until this weekend. So glad I did, and hate that I’ve been missing out. We didn’t venture past the appetizers this time, but loved the tuna, cheese board and spinach dip. Can’t wait to try the entrees next time — especially the bourbon peach flatbread. Lovely — but pricy — wine list, not any truly inexpensive options. There was live music on Saturday — a young couple, he on acoustic guitar, she on ukelele — if you’re a fan of Sirius’ Coffeehouse, you’d have been in heaven — as we were. We’ll be back.

«Best Wine Bar»? not under this ownership It seems that the new owner is trying to recoup the money spent immediately. I don’t pay that much for a glass of wine at Bob’s, I could not believe that the average price for a glass of red wine was $ 13. Saturday night the wife and I went and while we enjoyed our evening, the food was ok at best(the Bistro supreme flatbread pizza was no better than an elongated Totinos«supreme» pizza), the way this was written up made it sound like this pizza was going to have wonderful flavors. Not so much, this was clearly the most disappointing item we had. They may have been voted«best wine bar» or best coffee in 20110r 2012, but that is clearly not the case in 2013. Unfortunately we won’t be back, the great atmosphere was not enough to compensate for the overpriced wine and food. oh, and the service which has always been slow(kitchen service), has not improved, just stayed the same, that could be by design«the longer they wait more high dollar wine they buy»

Love this place for girls night out or a romantic, intimate dinner. Ambiance is superb. There was a very talented young musician singing and playing guitar when we went. Prices are a little steep for what you get, but ill be back!

Super nice waitress and staff. She made us custom skinny margaritas. We didn’t know they had full bar until we got there — more than a wine bar for sure. definitely recommend as evening place to hang out for groups or a couple. My only recommendation would be to play better live music. They need singer/songwriter/acoustic type environment. Music was skewed a bit old when we were there.

Aperitivos is a nice location to visit for a relaxing evening for beer /wine and maybe some tapas. Not sure, if I would advise for an evening meal. but we have enjoyed a number of evenings at this restaurant. For Flower Mound, it’s relatively unique from a style perspective. Has a european style layout and approach. Drop by, if your looking for an enoyable casual evening(w/out kids :-)

Had fun with a group of Lantana Ladies last night while the husbands played cards. The wine list is weak, the food is just ok, the live music was good, seating was comfortable and waitstaff was above average. This is a small venue and can get crowded fast! Warmer weather on the patio allows more seating. Enjoy having Aperitivos in the neighborhood! This bistro is a breath of fresh air but needs time to mature.

So, worth noting that I think places like Apertivos are good for the area: as someone who spends some time here, I’d love to see more home grown biz(especially those who are doing things that are interesting) happen. We all know how big box stores work, and sometimes there’s joy to be had in something small, carefully curated, with innate attention to special details. I’m not saying that’s exactly what Apertivos is, mind you, but it’s closer than much of the strip center offerings could be to that idea. Anyhoo, we dropped by on an afternoon during the holidays for a glass of wine and a beer or two, and found this spot a cozy respite from the cold outside. Both the wine and beer lists are fairly moderate in number, and the selections not particularly risky. But the dessert lover’s wine was fine, and I settled into a Hoegarten or two to stave off the weather. Service was friendly but as they got busy they were clearly a little understaffed, so know that if this is typical you may want to plan your stop at times when servers aren’t in the weeds. That said, I’d definitely go back though: here’s hoping they iron out a few of the remaining wrinkles.

As a result of my review, I got an email from Chuck offering a gift certificate for me to give them another chance. After some thought, I decided to give them another chance. I followed Chuck’s directions in trying to get the gift certificate offered. I contacted Apertivos and mentioned I needed to pick up a gift certificate. They had no idea what I was talking about. I asked to have someone call me, perferably Chuck. I never received a call. I called again and left a message. Again no call. I even responded to Chuck via Unilocal email indicating my difficulting in obtaining the gift certificate. AGAIN — no response. I GIVEUP!!! This place is a waste of time and they have a lot to learn regarding customer service and follow-up skills.

Was here only once and enjoyed the atmosphere and experience. The live music was good and not too loud(Small venue + loud music = two thumbs down). We will have to try the food the next time we go; only had wine and enjoyed the music on this visit. I wish they had one more seating area where there were comfy chairs and a couch. Other than that it was really nice.

It is amazing to me that this place is even in business. The restaurant manager was such an ass we will never go back and we will tell everyone we talk to. We had a group of 40 that he refused to seat ½ of our party even though we had reservations. 4 tables sat empty the entire time we were there so we went next door to Café Italia next door made a reservation for 10 and went to wine styles across the street and spent $ 200 on wine to take in with us. I would love to speak with the owner and express my disgust but, no one would provide a contact. I will say that our server was a total sweetheart and I felt bad for her. I hope this keeps all reading from going to this place!

I applaud Aperitivos for putting together a wine list of good but not widely distributed wines; however their pricing of those wines is ridiculous. I’ve tried 3 wines off their new list — a Cab for $ 20/glass, a Cab for $ 16/glass and a Red varietal for $ 8/glass. I was so impressed with two of the wines that I went looking to buy several bottles. The $ 16/g Cab is $ 20/bottle from the vineyard! The $ 8/g Red is $ 8−11/bottle and widely available — the mark up that Aperitivos is using is CRAZY and uncalled for and there doesn’t appear to be any benefit in purchasing a bottle since there’s not price break to do so! Another wine that I didn’t try but researched was $ 12/glass and can be purchased at Tom Thumb for 12.99/bottle. Wine buyer beware — the wines are good but try to stick with glasses under $ 10 or you’ll be significantly overpaying!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch recently not knowing what to expect. However, we were very pleasantly surprised once we stepped inside. It’s a full coffee bar and wine bar that also has a nice selection of beer and liquor, if that’s your thing. For lunch we ordered entrees, rather than the lighter fare. I enjoyed the pork shanks with chipotle bbq sauce and my wife thought the chicken cordon bleu was quite good as well. While the menu called for asparagus to accompany my meal, grilled squash and zucchini was silently substituted instead. While I enjoyed the vegetables, letting me know of the substitution ahead of time would have been preferable. But that’s a bit of a nit which I quickly forgot about once I tasted those tender pork shanks, which were excellent. Overall, Aperitivos looks like it’s shaping up to be a favorite spot for any time of day for us. We’ve already planning on heading back in the evening for drinks and live music with friends. Certainly worth checking out and highly recommended.

Went there this morning with my daughter before school. Thought about taking her to fast food for a surprise breakfast. Decided to come here to mix it up a bit. It was a very nice environment and the food was quite good. We liked sitting and chatting. Definitely will come back here!

OK. I am glad that I can write a positive update for this establishment! I just dig the ambiance. I don’t get too excited about the décor and feel(unless it’s just nasty or odd) of a restaurant, I’m about the food. I came in again to see if I could get a waffle and waffle I did receive. Was it the best waffle I have ever had? Am I a waffle connoisseur? No. BUT to be fair I think waffles are and item that even a perfect waffle is almost no better than an OK waffle. Let’s face it, waffles are either OK or horrible, as if there was a missing ingredient or way too much of something else. My point? I ain’t no waffle expert. I stopped in here with friends for a drink and ended up eating dinner plus apps. The Chalkboard said«Waffles $ 3.75 add fruit for $ 1.00». Again, waffles are something that I would make myself and rarely if ever order in a restaurant(even at 3am), and are plentiful in the hotels where I stay(100+ nights a year). I think there is a subliminal message that demanded I come in for waffles! This has been over three weeks coming, I was on a cruise for 7 days and could have eaten my weight in waffles had I wanted. I did not partake in the waffles. Maybe it was just being denied. Maybe I need therapy? I do like this little place. My taste is too diverse; I’m too old and work too much to «hang out» at any one place. BUT should you happen to be near the Shops of Highland Village I would stop in and check it out. Open for breakfast(they have more than waffles), lunch and dinner. The coffee is very good the pastries look amazing and the flat bread pizza is light and tasty.

Just visited this morning. What an awesome new treasure to have around. Had an awesome breakfast burrito, ice tea and latte. This café has an inviting aura and is clean. Plan on checking out the evening Friday or Sat. Definitely visit this«neighborhood Joint».

This is just what the area needed! Coffee and wine, the best of both worlds. I am a huge fan of «Segafrredo» Italian coffee and that is exactly what they serve. The hours are great, opening early at 6am! The smell of fresh baked scones, cinnamon buns and muffins are a great way to start your day. The vast menu is adventurous with pannini sandwiches, healthy salads, hummas, greek yoguart parfaits, and many sweet endings. Homemade italian sodas are fun too. Local musicans play live on Friday and Saturday nights. I am looking foward to enjoying brunch their with my family. Excellent wine and cheese lists. As soon as the cooler weeather hits I will be sure to snuggle up to the fireplace with an Irish Coffee! Bravo, Aperitivo’s!

4 stars for environment, menu, and doing something different in the area. I will try it again in a month or two and hopefully they will have addressed whatever went wrong that day. 40 minutes for two paninis one being a ham and swiss which came without the swiss. Served with microwaved olé rida tater tots whereas everyone else was served chips. I explained that I had no issue with getting tater tots and that I preferred them over chips in the morning, but no consistency from plate to plate and they were horrible. It’s not like I was asked what I wanted nor were the other patrons from what I could tell. It was very evident they were out of ingredients and were too afraid to be honest and chose rather to make us wait while someone ran to the store and then served us crap 40 minutes late. Did they forget to buy cheese while they were there by chance? Overall I was more upset that I had wasted forty minutes of my life waiting on what could have been a good meal. The only reason it was not a total loss was due to great conversation with the wife and someone to help me laugh about how ridiculous the whole situation was.

This is my favorite concept. Take the coffee bar attitude of Starbucks, throw in food like a diner, add wireless like an Internet café and at night, offer wine, and I am there! The food consist of breakfast fare with flair(Lox, panini’s, Kilbasa in burritos) and pizzas and sandwiches for lunch and dinner and trust me it is quite tasty. The coffee bar has alcohol shots to correct your coffee, smoothies, iced drinks and teas. I think I found a new Saturday morning and Sunday morning hangout not to mention a M-F evening spot… I guess their slogan is true, they really are«The neighborhood’s living room».
