Best subs in town. Period. Had this place up north in ohio and loved it. So glad to see them in dallas. Only wish there would be one closer to addison area. I always get the italian, the cheese is perfect, great amount of meat, veggies and toasted. Best part is their bread– it is made fresh. Yumm. must try and please open one closer to Dallas!

Great sandwich. Had the pizza sub and the ingredients worked very well together. Cooked open face. akin yo eating a sandwich made with garlic bread. Awesome. Interior was very clean. Associate behind counter was friendly and attentive and happy to offer suggestions. Pass through here twice a week, will definitely come back.

I was out running errands and needed lunch. I like trying new places and have never been to this place. I got the Philly cheesesteak with no mushrooms or pizza sauce. It had a really good mix of flavor with generous helping of meat. I liked the onions and the mustard was a good extra kick. This is top five for a cheesesteak I have had. I also really liked the fries. They were not too greasy and they were not covered in salt. I would recommend this place over most sub shops.

Great service and delicious sub! My husband said it may be his new fav. I still prefer a cold jersey Mikes sub. but will Def be back! We carried out and wouldn’t recommend getting fries unless you are eating there. Simular to in and out. they are made fresh so better the second they come out of the frier! Being a sub lover I’m glad this is in my area!

We finally tried this place(the FM location). We were greeted by a super friendly person behind the counter. He offered suggestions on his favorite subs. I ordered the Italian and hubby ordered the Philly based on his suggestions. I normally don’t care much for any kind of lunch meat and I definitely don’t care for them grilled. However, I thought the Italian was AWESOME. And I even got it grilled based on his recommendation. I got the 8in and my only regret was that I didn’t get the 12. Hubby said the Philly was really good, but not exactly the traditional east coast style philly he was hoping for. At checkout we were again greeted by a very outgoing, friendly young man. Overall it was a great experience and we will absolutely be back!

This place has been open for a while and we had never been in and finally decided to give it a try. If you are looking for a sandwich place keep looking! Light on the meat plus ordered a medium fry for $ 4.99 and got a small… Asked about it and got jumped by all four smart a$$ teens behind the counter about it shoving the cups at me that it should have come in. And yes the fries received would have fit in the medium cup but only half full. While walking away from the counter they continued to mock about the fries. Nope, won’t be back and warn all others that it isn’t with it for half the meat and half the fries.

We had the Philly Cheese(awesome) and the Italian while I really liked the Italian with the banana peppers, crisp lettuce and the red onion it was a little on the salty side. But very good! We will be coming back for sure, they have a lot of options.

Been here twice and love both times. Their Philly is not an authentic Philly but it’s really tasty.

I always enjoy eating here. Haven’t ventured away from the philly but it keeps me happy. The very first time I visited, a middle aged woman with curly hair helped me and she was extremely friendly and helpful in making a decision. Now they have very young girls taking orders AND cooking. They are not friendly. I still like the sandwiches though.

Penn Station East Coast Subs has a strict policy of not opening up stores far from areas they already operate in. This was up until a former aide for George W. Bush convinced them otherwise. This is how we got 3 area locations, franchised of course. I was excited to try their sandwiches, and I ended up trying 4 different subs across several visits. The best of the lot so far was the Philadelphia Cheese-steak, and the least appealing was the pizza sub(mostly due to presentation). The fries are actually pretty good when fresh, but on some of the visits the fries weren’t quite newly minted. Unfortunately I do not think this chain will make it here. There has been a recent influx in sandwich joints in the last few years. Jimmy Johns, Firehouse Subs, Jersey Mike’s, Which Wich, McAlister’s, and Pot Belly’s. Some of these places offer a unique twist, but for the most part all serve the same stuff. As far as I can tell Blimpe has pretty much been eliminated from the area give or take 2 very small locations. Penn Station is expensive in comparison to Subway, but it does offer higher quality ingredients. I like the menu and fries, but the execution on multiple occasions left something to be desired. If they’re going to make it they’d have to tighten up and make every order perfect. I for one hope it improves and manages to stay in the area, but until I see solid evidence of this I will have to maintain my rating.

This review is for the Grapevine location. Unfortunately Unilocal doesn’t have the Grapevine location listed. The sandwich was really good! 6″ Philly was more like an 8″ and stuffed with cheese, meat & onions. Employees weren’t the brightest, but the Manager was very welcoming, kind and concerned that we liked our food. Much better than Subway or Jersey Mike’s. This place would be my first choice when going for a sub.

Southlake has no individual listing here(yet Plano has 3?) Had the cheesesteak w/onions & mushrooms. SALTY! Couldn’t taste anything but. 3 bites and I was done. Unfortunately I bought a 12″…what a HUGE waste of $ 10. My pitbull only wanted one bite then she was done. LEAVETHESEASONINGTOTHECUSTOMER. Best cheesesteak in NE Tarrant Co is still Fred’s Downtown Philly P. S. I cant believe they dont use gloves!

Penn Station Fascination! Accidentally stumbled onto this place while writing up another Unilocal review and I was hungry so decided to check it out… Somewhat hidden location inside a busy N. Flower Mound strip mall. Dining area is long and narrow with a flat screen on the back wall and the kitchen on the left as you walk in. Checked out the choices from the menu and settled on the signature Philly cheesesteak. Dude behind the counter recommended I get it with the pizza sauce(yuck!) so I humored him but made him put it a cup on the side. Also got a medium order of fries and a lemonade. Read the prior whining about orders taking too long to fill but mine only took about five minutes which I found very reasonable. Place was moderately busy but not lunch time crazy. When the food was ready the cashier delivered the basket to my table and I took no time in happily digging in. Steak was very tasty and the fries were a welcome accompaniment toasted just right. When I finished, I was a much happier and content person than I was when I walked in the door. This joint is the real deal. Would be superb if they had more varieties of bread and black olives, but definitely skip the pizza sauce on the Philly! LOL. A couple things… I couldn’t help but notice that ALL of the other patrons seated in my immediate vicinity kind of psycho-analyzed their sandwich and sized it up for about two or three minutes or so before even tasting it! One woman commented that«Subway is so much better.» before she even put it in her mouth. LMAO! Really? And then there was another whiner who muttered, «Shoulda gone to Jimmy John’s,» again without even so much as touching the sandwich! And yeah, I know this is Texas and I know people here are more price-conscious than in other places(I guess that’s why Wal-Mart is the shit down here maybe), but c’mon people, the food here is priced competitively with the other mega sandwich chains and the quality is SOOOOO much better! No, there are no $ 5 footlongs(which suck anyway) and your food will take a little longer to prepare, but then again, it hasn’t been wrapped in paper and sitting in some tray for several hours collecting God knows what while it waits for you to walk in the door. But if you’re hungry and want good food with friendly people behind the counter, then please stop by here to actually TRY their menu offerings before you throw them under the Unilocal bus. If you are pennywise, then get the smaller-sized sandwiches as you actually pay a bit more for going large. This was the only real price difference I noticed with the the national chains, but in the end, your waistline will thank you. Penny pinchers and whiners need not bother coming. For them, Subway has your cut-rate sub ready and waiting for ya in those stylin’ plastic trays and Mom will likely be ready with the Pepto Bismol when ya start barfing three hours later!

Tried this new sub shop out today for lunch with hubby. We were excited to try it. Upon entering, I was taken aback a bit by the setup. There’s really no line or big area for ordering. Basically, you walk in and there’s a small area that fits just a few people– room to view the big menus on wall and order at their computer area. That’s the only weird thing. Seems like it could be arranged better, because if more than 3 – 5 people are«in line» to order, it seems like they’ll have to stand outside. They need more standing room and maybe a roped-off area that helps form a line. Anyway– once we got past the ordering part, we walked down the long walkway area to pay at the registers. No biggie. We both ordered a Philly cheesesteak. We were not disappointed in the least. I got a 6-inch and he got an 8-inch combo. Fries are handcut and tasty. Pepsi products, so hubby liked that they have diet Mountain Dew. I liked their fresh-brewed sweet tea a lot too. It was perfect… I’m a tea snob and there’s is GOOD, fresh, brewed and not from a fountain or mix. Yay! Nice eating area, booths, Tv’s, atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We will go back. Took an Italian sub home for our teen son and he LOVED it– kept asking where it was from and the location– so he can drive there himself.(I’m hoping he will try to get a job here!) All in all– great new sub place with fresh ingredients and delicious food!!! As I mentioned, just a bit baffled at the lack of space on the ordering area, but that could be fixed I’m sure. Happy for a tasty new sub shop!

Summary: Too expensive, limited vegetable choices, limited chip choices, limited bread options, overall average taste, maybe even too much cheese(and I love cheese!) Details: So I paid over $ 15 for a 12inch sandwich, a bag of chips and a small drink. I went for a turkey sub. Granted their focus is on cooked subs like cheese steaks etc., but anyway. The folks behind the counter were pleasant. In my world there only needs to be full sized and half sized subs, so I bypassed the multiple mid sized options and went for a foot long. Was hoping for black olives and jalapeños to add but these are not options. There were no options for bread — they have just white sub roles which were tasty enough. There were only 4 obscure potato chip options such as Jalepeno and cheddar. I need more options for everything to justify the price. I should be able to create my perfect sandwich but instead I felt like I was boxed in a bit. Meh.

If fresh tuna means right out of a container that’s pre made and shipped then there needs to be a better definition of the word. Same goes for the chicken salad. It’s horrible.

philly cheesestake is legit and textbook. i went here for the fries since they hand cut them. had me at hand cut. very clean. manager gives off the impression he micromanages which is bad if that vibe is even given off at all. cheesesteak was legit JEANS: OK by far ORDER: at counter

This is for the Southlake location. I give it 3 months before this place is shut down. While I didn’t actually eat anything from there, my reasons were simple… THEYDIDN’T USEANYGLOVES when preparing my food. The last thing I want is to catch something from someone who didn’t wash their hands. Sorry, but this is 2014 and with all the Ebola stuff going on, ALL foodservice establishments SHOULDUSEGLOVES! Yeah, yeah, yeah, for all those people that say the heat from an oven will kill anything lurking in your food… go right ahead and enjoy your food! For me, this is just a standard that an open kitchen use gloves. Also, I drive by this place all the time and it’s never busy. I think they are struggling and it’s just a matter of time before the people of Southlake just watch this place close up shop.

The hand cut French Fries are great, you will need a medium sized fry to split between two(or two smalls :)). The Rueben sub was awesome, they make the kraut and(I think) the Thousand Island dressing in house. My daughter liked the turkey(«dad, it’s better than Subway» she said) and as another reviewer mentioned, the bread is really, really good. I think it is a tad pricy but if you order the sub of the month in a 6″ size, it comes with fries and a drink under $ 9.00, that seems like the way to go for me!

Great new addition to one of my favorite shopping areas! I was so excited to try this new deli! I had the Club sandwich and it was delicious. They also have yummy hand cut fries. They offer fresh squeezed lemonade and Pepsi products. The ambience is casual and relaxed, making this a perfect spot for lunch when you are out shopping!
