First, this place feeling out of place is an understatement. It’s a French Bakery inside a Chinese supermarket? The food: Almond Croosaint– This was my favorite thing I tried, I thought the crispiness and the flaikness of the crossaint was great, I thought it was made really well. The almond flavor was nice, but the filling was a tad too sweet. Overall, the Almond Croissant is the way to go. Pistachio Croissant– Apparently the Chef Merlin is obsessed with pistachio as I am as well but the flavor of the pistachio didn’t wow up. I thought the flavor was OK, but it reminded more of a pistachio paste and it didn’t have the best mouth feel. It was also too sweet in my opinion. I love pistachio but the flavor was just OK for me. Mini Éclair– I tried their 8 for 9 buck deal and I was pretty underwhelmed. They called these mini eclairs but it you know anything about pastries, these were cream puffs. I wasn’t crazy about the dough, it seemed like it was too thin and it didn’t have a nice chew to the dough and that bothered me. It also kinda seemed too airy, and the filling seemed somewhat elementary, it wasn’t really exciting. I thought the chocolate mini éclair filling was a little better than other fillings.

I had the pleasure of trying out several of their choux pastries(cream puffs) at the Great Northeast Cheese Fest: coffee, pistachio, marscapone & coffee(a tiramisu inspired idea I believe I heard Chef Rudolf Merlin say), and almond. My god were they delicious! I initially tried the pistachio and it was bursting with flavor as well as being so creamy on the inside. It was just the right amount of sweetness too. I ushered my boyfriend to get back on line to get the rest of his desserts. All the others were equally as amazing, but hands down, pistachio was definitely the stellar flavor. Crème Bakery, I cannot wait to visit your storefront and try out all your other pastries so I can reminisce about my time in Paris last year. Great job!

I recently moved into the neighborhood. A church friend of mine recommended Crème Bakery, a hidden gem, on 16006 Northern Blvd. I had no idea, but it wasn’t until everyone in my circle of friends started taking about it that I had to go out and find it myself. Unlike all there other imitations on Northern Blvd and the surrounding Flushing and Bay side area bakeries who use inferior ingredients, this is the real deal! The ingredients are as good if not better than the best of the best in the world. And the prices are so down to earth. Dare I say affordable? Trust me, I’ve done more than my fair share of European travels, and I know what a freshly baked croissant is when I have one in my mouth. The pastries to try are definitely the almond croissants, pistachio croissants, their famous napoleon, plain cheesecake and any of the fruit tarts. My wife loves the ham croissant for lunch and financier as an everyday treat. A definite must go to. You will not be disappointed. Ask the cute girl behind the counter for a box and fill it up!

I was surprise to see that this place is inside a super market. This was a nice accidental find! Love their almond and pistachio croissant!!! It’s not super sweet which I love. The outside is crunchy and dusted with lots of fresh nuts(either almonds or pistachio) and the inside is filled it’s a light filling. I can’t wait to try the rest of the baked goods!

I’ve tried this stuff before. At first, I thought it was truly great. But the croissants here are a little bit too buttery. and sometimes they don’t come out nice and perfect looking. The cakes here are pretty good quality. It is a european style french bakery and one of kind in Flushing, but Cannelle Patisserie’s quality beats this hands down when it comes to croissants and Cannelle also beats it in cake quality. But the prices here are very affordable similar to Cannelle’s pricing.

I am so glad to have discovered this French gem right near my neighborhood. Truly authentic, truly delicious French pastries rivaling what Manhattan offers. A must try in Northeastern Queens. Merci beaucoup!

This place is the real deal. A pastry chef from France has arrived in Flushing. And its a bakery that is in a very small location inside a chinese supermarket. They have pain au chocolat(chocolate croissants), strawberry crème swiss rolls, regular croissants, and chocolate cakes, and chocolate mousse and many more delicacies that i could not try out. This is the only real french bakery in Flushing. It is comparable in quality to Cannelle Patisserie in Jackson Heights. But the selection is much smaller. Prices are affordable as well. Great Patisserie.
