I usually stop by here after eating at Arang since they don’t have dessert. If you go early in the evening, they still have a good selection of Korean pastries. I love their cherry cookies. They’re tiny but super flavorful. I can’t comment on the coffee or smoothies since I’ve never had one. It’s cash only!

Wow a bakery that is open 24⁄7! We were craving ice coffee at 3am in the morning and this place hit the spot. The man who works here during the night time is the sweetest guy ever. They sell bread that you probably wont see at paris baguette and those other korean bakeries. My favorite pastry is the cream donut.

Open 24⁄7! My favorite place to go after midnight… Haha! I love bbang!!! :)) You have to bring cash because they don’t accept the credit card. There are few seats and you can stay as long as you can but I never stayed there;)) You gotta go there before 8~9ish pm for having variety:))

I really love this place. It is wonderful to have a Korean bakery that is somewhat cheap and with a nice location. The selection is pretty large, all of the necessities for a perfect bakery. The décor is pretty basic, with the wooden floors, a big table of pastries in the middle, and a counter on the left side of the bakery. Service was okay, friendly. I had a sponge cake, like I always get at Asian bakeries, which wasn’t anything special, but was yummy. They have a great selection of coffees and assorted drinks as well.

Our favorite Korean bakery. Whenever we are in the neighborhood we make a stop to get something.

The bakery was a walking distance from my dentist’s office. I asked the woman(not sure if she was the owner) «What type of oil that they use for their pastries?» and she asked the baker and he replied«Vegetable Oil». Good to know because food allergies are so common these days. I grabbed a tray of creamy fillings and the woman mentioned that her daughter also has food allergies which she can related to my situation. Definitely stopped by if you are in the neighborhood!

The only place where you can get a birthday cake at 2am in the morning. We were on a mission to get my friend’s boyfriend a birthday cake and we found it here because this is, once again, the only 24 hour bakery. They only have two flavors to choose from, fruit or mocha. We went with the fruit flavor and it was actually good, to our surprise. THISISTHEVILLAGE. All the décor is so outdated and rustic a.k.a countryside-ish. Word around here is that the bakery owner is a Korean old man who is the only one working at his bakery. We came in around midnight and we heard the old man before we saw him. We heard a warm greeting in Korean from the back of the bakery and he appeared the next second in front of us wiping his hands on his apron as he was coming out from the kitchen. Apparently, he bakes everything in the bakery by himself at night and sleeps in the daytime. We discovered this during our second time here in the daytime when there was actually a girl working in the bakery. He is definitely trying very hard to be inventive here. There is everything from sweet potato danishes, orange chiffon cakes, pumpkin ankos, to red bean castellas. Very heavy Asian influence and 1990s in terms of flavor. The baked goods are not very sweet, suitable for old people. Personally, I like that breads and pastries are not saturated with sugar for a change. Get the danishes, anko, and croissants here. They are soft with moderate to scanty sweet fillings. Stay away from anything that looks like it isn’t made with white flour, such as the chocolate bun with cream in between and red bean castella. These were so dry that I had to drink water the entire time to wash them down. I gave the old man a tip because we were overjoyed at finding a birthday cake in the middle of the night. He started to protest in Korean and my friend said he was saying that I don’t need to tip him. I told him to keep it. I don’t think anyone has ever tried tipping him before… that’s why he overreacted when I did. Sad. If you are nostalgic for Asia in the 1990s and don’t like your cakes to be too sweet, come here.

Came here on an impromptu visit with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. It was nice and cozy, has a good selection of tea but only regular coffee available(which tasted decent black). Good selection of Korean pastries. I had the chocolate buche which was alright but kind of messy to eat(i.e. avoid this if you’re on a date). They also have green tea ice cream which looks yummy. Free wifi, ask the cashier for the pw. Though for some reason it didn’t work for me or friend on our phones, not sure why.

This is an teensy weensy bakery right on Northern Blvd. it’s so small that you might pass by if you blink but if you like Korean pastries I recommend you drop by! The little wooden tables and chairs are right out of an animé storybook(Anyone read Goldilocks?) and with its sunshine yellow stripes awning and cutesy font on its mini signs, it can only be called adorable. But Honestly, the cute décor isn’t the main reason I come out of my way. Its the FOOD!!! The breads are baked fresh and is really fluffy. I don’t eat pastries without cheese or some kind of cream and I’ve found that Village Bakery has awesome cream buns and their cheese danish is my all time favorite! I especially enjoy their cream/corn/sausage pizza bread but those seem to sell out by 11AM :((hence –1 star)

As good a place as any to stop in for a coffee on a rainy evening. You won’t find anything groundbreaking and obviously Korean bakeries are pricier than Chinese bakeries. But two coffees and a $ 1 pack of eensy cherry-flavored cookies with the boy = pleasant. It’s cute but also a little run-down enough to not feel oppressively annoying. Maybe it was the rain that day, but unlike the Chinese bakeries I usually frequent, Village Bakery had lots of seats available! ID it by its striped yellow awning, right where Crocheron hits Northern Blvd.

I agree with Cindy H. about it being adorable. Lots of little tables to sit at and eat a light breakfast or snack with one or two friends. Not a full café selection, but a large selection of teas, a variety of baked rolls and breads, and good iced coffee. Quiet enough for reading or to have a good conversation. The sweetbread and cheese danish I had were fabulous.

This place is adorable! Everything from the white and yellow striped awning to the cute little buns makes me smile. I wandered in one day when I got off the wrong stair case on the LIRR(it’s right next to the Broadway stop) and was taken aback by the choices. I am used to Chinese bakeries, where it’s always crowded and full of hustle and bustle. Here, you can slowly take your time inspecting each of the many different breads/buns/pastries. etc. I ended up going with their cream and corn bread, which sounds weird but is delicious! :) Only $ 1.50 and it lasted me two breakfasts.
