Three and a half stars, if I can give it that. One of my go to cheap chinese food places in Flushing that hits the spot when you need a quick meal. Lunch specials range from $ 5-$ 7, quick service. Easy cheap and satisfying chinese food.

Place is very popular and always crazy busy, despite their less than stellar Health department grade, and the VERY questionable hygiene and handling of their raw foods I couldn’t help but notice the many times I have waited for my bus to arrive close by. It has mysteriously been closed for atleast a week or so, no signage or clue as to why.

It’s a simple looking but a cozy place to have snacks with friends at past 10pm on a weekday in flushing, & right by d 7 train last stop. they just offered us what they had left remaining prior to their closing for the day, which to me, was awesome. we had their roasted pork cuts with steamed rice. they also gave us hot tea, as expected. they waited for us until we were done having our snacks(actually, late dinner LOL). service is A-OK!

We always order pan fried noodles here and they’re always great, it’s a big serving & it’s cheap. Just the health inspection grade is a little questionable but that about it.

This is some friggin sweet Chinese food! Walking in, the place looks like our typical Chinatown restaurant. We shared two plates of beef pan fried noodles, two orders of fried dumplings, and duck with rice among 5 people. Everything was better than their equivalents at other Chinese places I have tried, cooked perfectly and flavorfully. Oh, that rich fatty duuuck! YUM. Tea was served immediately when we sat down, and the menus were already on the table. All in all, we had plenty of delicious food and the bill came out to $ 10 each, including tax and tip! Amazing! I will definitely come back here next time I am in Flushing.

I canNOT stress this enough. . The Singapore Mei Fun(Noodle) is simply the BEST in Flushing! I have not yet encountered another place that can beat Flushing Noodle Shop’s Singapore Mei Fun. Please correct me if I am wrong! Let’s see how many ways I can describe this divine, delightful, delectable DISH!!! .~. rich curry taste but not overbearing .~. very flavorful with a spicy kick .~. a lot of ingredients used(shrimp, roast pork, shredded pork, spam, egg, onion, green pepper, bean sprouts) .~. seasoned beautifully .~. perfect texture .~. balanced taste .~. always consistent in every order .~. large portion .~. extremely fulfilling .~. generous price Yeah, you may find this restaurant small and old-looking BUT the kitchen food is what keeps on drawing people in, time after time, like mE, their loyal customer! #imHUNGRYnow #totallyADDICTED #preparetoLOVEit #YUMMYlicious #trustME

I ordered to-go from this place. No utensils when I came back to my apt to eat. Food was hot and fresh though… I ordered, beef and broccoli over rice, lo mein, duck and chicken over rice, and tofu dish. Honestly, I thought everything was just generally okay. Their lo mein was the best part. Also, dishes that are over rice are cheaper than a full meat/vegetable dish. However, I found it odd that tofu dish didn’t come with a side of rice for free. Anyways, I would recommend their meat over rice options or lomein and nothing else. It’s because for the price, you could get better food else where. Also, no side of rice(although I’m wondering if it was because I got mine to-go, but still).

I’ve come here for the noodle soups a couple times. The food was okay, though not the best I’ve had. The wontons are average– not bad, but not particularly flavorful. The soup, again, is not as flavorful and soothing as I’ve had at other places in Flushing. This might actually show that they put less MSG, which is of course a good thing, but I guess I’m so used to having MSG-laden restaurant food that I’m always craving it. Overall, I’d say the food is passable, but not the best. They have two long tables which they’ll make you share with other groups, and also two smaller 4-seat tables on the side(which I, as a solo diner, have had to share). The food does come out fast, though, and they are pretty nice. I’ve also seen people drinking in here, so I’m assuming it’s(at least unofficially) BYOB(though they were actually drinking wine with their lunch).

I had the roast duck noodle for 4.95. Considering the price they do serve you a decent amount of duck in the soup. The flavor of the soup was the lighter beef based broth. Food came out quick, could have used a little more veggies but cant complain. Waiters were nice and prompt. Overall, good experience, definitely worth checking out once if you haven’t been there before.

Not as good as it used to be. But it’s ok if you are in a rush and need something to eat in a hurry.

This place is nothing if not consistent. HK style offerings are pretty good and on par with the old school Wonton Garden on Mott Street in Chinatown. I prefer never to eat here because of the high traffic and proximity to the subway station but if you’re looking for a quick cheap HK style meal, this place isn’t a bad choice. I would say that their roast meats are subpar compared with other offerings within a 2 block radius.

It’s kind of like the«Big Wong» of Flushing, Queens. Cheap Cantonese-style dishes that make your belly satisfy to its fullest. I ordered a bowl of Roast Duck with Wonton Noodle soup and for $ 5.75, it was such a great deal. It came in a giant bowl with a generous amount of wontons and noodles. The broth wasn’t too heavy, which means they probably didn’t put too much MSG. The roast duck was ok but a bit on the thin side. In terms of seating, it feels a bit cramped. Not an ideal place for a big group of people but hey if you’re just here to grab a quick bite, you certainly don’t need to sit long.

I hope heaven gives food like this because it is so awesome that I feel no shame using a lot of cliches. The price is low and the bowls are big. The meat is fresh and in the window waiting for you and the people there are so nice! I am a forever fan of this place so I may be bias but you can get yourself a 2-dish meal with 10 bucks. That is magical. Love this place forever, I wish I lived in flushing.

One of the two reasons I miss living in Flushing is the Noodle Shop. It’s been a staple in my diet for years! All I can say is «old school»(to quote a fellow Unilocaler). It’s hard to find places like this around NYC anymore — you know, with good tasting meats hanging around — just waiting to be chopped up for you and the rude-sounding yet motherly staff members! Most of the places in NYC have converted to the higher profit yielding«four-items-and-soup-for-$ 5» gigs. The roast pork and roast pig over rice combo is always my go-to. They even have pig ear ready to go! No one else seems to get it right anymore! And no one else serves the rice plates to you with the clear soup(for eat in, unless you ask-for take-out). The noodle plates and bowls are also great. and make me think that I’m eating in an actual joint in Asia — if it were not for the MTA uniforms that populate the shop and the Chinese take-out-style menu also available. It’s always worth the crowd-wacking trek through Flushing to dine here.

Used to come here all the time when I was growing up with my grandfather and father. It was our weekly ritual. Now they have new owners and management and it is a bit different. The food here like a lot of the other flushing offerings are basic meat and veggie over rice dishes. But getting a bit bbq meats here are usually a good choice to bring home. The Soy Chicken is very popular amongst the customers and you definitely can’t go wrong ordering soups. Make sure you order a wonton noodle soup when going here. It is one of the better things that they make here. They also make a good salted fried squid. It will never be the Gem that it once was, but I hope that it will only get better.

This place is great! Good bang for the buck! Great portion. The food were pretty good. We came here with our friends for dinner. We ordered 3 dishes, all total we spent was about $ 19… The place is small, next to a Main Street subway station… Our waiter was polite… Food came pretty fast…

I love being Cantonese! Lucky to have food like this closeby and at such great prices. My family and I usually order the family dinner for pick up. As some others mentioned, it’s $ 21 to feed a family of four. We sometimes add on a chow fun because we are fatties! Love the pork belly, the steak, and the fish with eggplant. I dont think the family dinner is on the actual menu but you NEED to read the walls. I’m assuming this place just got renamed to «New Flushing Noodle Shop».

Their Family Dinner for $ 21 dollar is a great deal! There are 69 entrees on the Family Dinner Menu. Pick any three. The dinner comes with bowls of rice. The quality of the entrée are good to very good. So far we have tried it several times and enjoyed it. You can feed 3 – 4 people! The regular take-out menu is good also.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for one of my favorite places in Flushing. My boyfriend and I were talking about how Cantonese places are slowly disappearing so I took him to New Flushing Noodle Shop. My boyfriend LOVEDIT. I used to go here ALLTHETIME when I lived in College Point for real Cantonese style food. There are only about 4 places left in the Chinatown Flushing area, that I can think of, that sells this type of cuisine. My favorite thing here is the«Family Meal» for 20.95. You get to pick 3 entrees from a really well rounded«Family Meal» menu. Everyone gets bowl of rice and a bowl of soup included in the price. It is enough food to feed 4 people! Last time we picked from their extensive menu: Peking Pork Chops, Sweet and Sour Fish Filet and the Filet Mignon served with long stalky Chinese greens. Everything was so good. And it came out faster than you can say… PFCHANG! ha!(for Phil H!) I was thinking, man, Phil H would love the Peking Pork Chops here! I had leftover for lunch the next day. So gooooood. The staff here was super duper friendly! Reason why I am mentioning this is because… I NEVERHADNICEWAITRESSAT A CANTONESEPLACE!!! She was so nice and sweet and attentive. I was so shocked by this! Most Cantonese people don’t believe in giving great service like this. She was amazingly great. I can’t say enough about our waitress. I smile at her all the time when I go there now. You gotta try the Peking Pork Chops. YUM! The Fish Filet was a bit greasy but I’ll just ask for less grease next time. I love it anyways… can you imagine feeding 4 people for less than $ 25! Unheard of! I saw them selling an entire roasted suckling pig with the crispy skin for $ 148. According to my boyfriend it’s cheap. It looked DELICIOUS!
