My favorite of the Asian tea chains! This location is in the New World Mall. The ordering is quick and the wait time is short to get your drink. The drinks are always consistent and on par with their other locations in Manhattan. It’s a great deal to up your drink size to a large for 50 cents! My all time favorite is the green tea with the milk foam cap. It’s a must try if you’re coming here for the first time! Also ask for a stamp card!

Good bubble tea in New World Mall. Workers know minimal English but they try their best to get orders across. Service overall is so/so. Pro: I like how at Gong Cha you are able to customize ice and sugar portions unlike many other bubble tea joints. They have really yummy options from traditional tea, coffee, and yogurt beverage options. Probably one of the better bubble tea spots you can find across the city. Con: They have a Unilocal check-in sign on the counter that says you get a free topping(bubbles, aloe, grass jelly, rainbow jelly, & etc) when you check-in; however once you check-in using the app it says it’s only for free milk foam and they wouldn’t honor what they advertised.

Gotta try their foam milk bubble tea! Too many bubbles. Excellent bubble tea! Definitely coming back. Recommended!

The drinks here are great if you are a fan of bubble tea. They have a variety of many drinks varying from milk teas to slushes. Like any other bubble tea places they have a lot of choices of topping besides for the basic bubbles. What’s makes this place a little different from other places would be their milk foam. It’s a milk foam that has a kick of butter to it. It may taste weird to many but I love it. A drink that’s really unique that I really enjoy would be the Lemon Ai Yu. It has Lemon rinds and«white pearls»(aloe like jelly topping) with some clear jello. It’s very refreshing and tasty. Another good thing about this place is the option to choose your sugar level from 100 percent more to no sugar and amount of ice. Some other great drinks I’d reccomend would be the Earl Grey milk tea with bubbles, the lychee oolong tea, and the ginger milk tea.

Friendly staff, delicious drinks. The milk foam is very interesting, it floats on top of the tea and you will need to mix it well or try to maneuver your straw to get the milk foam, tea and toppings in one sip. I highly recommend the pudding if you’re a sweet person with the herb jelly. Cash only business

It took them 10 mins to give me my order because they have misplaced my cup. The bubble milk tea tasted water down. The best part were the bubble, they were perfectly hard and chewy.

It’s as if my fellow Gong Cha hasn’t done enough. I am ecstatic to announce that you can get iced coffee here with milk foam. It’s a revolution for your typical cup of joe and I can only imagine how welcoming they can be with adding on boba to this magical concoction of an amazing drink. I will forever praise Gong Cha for it’s extensive awesome menu and will continue taking others so that the fan base will be over the top. Any boba place that can allow you to control the sugar content drink is a win-win in my book!

Conveniently located in the heart of Flushing, this spot has some fresh delicious bubble tea. My favorite is the oolong milk tea with bubbles. They are always fast and efficient.

Me and my friends very like gong cha’s tea. We think it isn’t too sweet and taste like real tea. The price is good. I think googcha is my first choice

Got the Earl gray milk tea with pudding, boba, and herbal jelly. All for $ 3.50. This bad boy hit the spot after a day of being dragged to Target for shopping. For the hardcore drinkers, you can even specify sugar and cream settings. I’m the kind of guy who orders a black coffee at Starbucks so that doesn’t matter to me but I bet it will for some of you out there. Compared to the LA boba I’ve had, this gets up there too for 4 stars

There was a stand-up sign by the counter that said«Review us on Unilocal for a free topping» but the first two words were covered up by their monitor. When I asked the guy behind the counter, he had no idea what I was talking about. He kept shrugging at me and shaking his head, even when I lifted up the sign to show him. He looked at me like I had two heads. I ordered a large Early Grey Fresh Milk Tea with bubbles, 70% sweetness and very little ice. While the tea was aromatic, it tasted very watered down even with the least amount of ice I could order. The bubbles were lacking in flavor as well.

It’s amazing how much bubble tea has changed since the days of Sago(the first bubble tea place in flushing that I know of). They don’t even call the bubbles sago anymore. I was skeptical about this milk foam business, especially since it’s salty. But it’s really grown on me. My feelings about the unique sensation of salty creamy foam followed by sweet tea is something I can no longer ignore. I crave it the way one craves cheeseburgers, knowing full well that it’s the fat that’s gotten me. And the sugar keeps me coming back for more.

I had first discovered their location in Midtown and I fell in love with Gong Cha’s Earl Grey Tea with Milk Foam. When I was around Flushing one day, I had to stop by this location to get my fix. I order my usual, Early Grey Tea with Milk Foam, Regular Ice and 100% Sugar. I bought a large order with a couple of other beverages to let my family try it. When I got home, I was disappointed to see the packaging of my drink. They advertise that you can enjoy Gong Cha’s mustache series in 3 ways. When they seal my drink instead of putting the proper plastic lid on it, it really defeats the purpose of trying to sip the the tea through the foam without a straw and it’s hard to stir it and blend it with the straw without breaking the plastic seal.

I guess I’m an all-or-nothing sort of gal. I first tried this Taiwanese tea chain in Hong Kong, was not impressed, but then was drawn by their intriguing Top 10 list(posted in English, heh heh) at Flushing’s New World Mall. Within a week, I had somehow tried 6 of Gong Cha’s drink offerings. Yikes. 1. Lemon ai yu with white pearl: Fantastic. I’ll always prefer milk teas to fruity drinks, but I can’t deny that everything about this just worked. It’s also a delight to find ai yu( ), a unique jelly made by rubbing together the seeds of a variety of fig. I don’t know how«real» this ai yu is, though, since the jelly turns back into liquid within a few days, and I’ve never seen fresh ai yu outside of Taiwan. 2. Milk foam green tea: I guess they don’t want to scare people the way Happy Lemon( ) does by calling it «salted cheese milk tea.» But the cream here is indeed very thick and very salted. A little too salted. Delicious nonetheless. 3. Lychee oolong tea: It was okay. Really sweet. The oolong was nice but I’m affected by a bias against lychee-flavored things. 4. Lemon wintermelon tea with basil seeds: Just like chia seeds, basil seeds form a gel coating when submerged in liquid(somewhat firmer than chia seeds). I love it. Just like the lemon ai yu drink, the lemon here is bits of candied lemon peel. The wintermelon tea itself was okay, too sweet. 5. Earl grey milk tea with 3P’s(Pearls, Pudding, and P… Herbal jelly — some places say P’s, some say J’s): My drink was mysteriously missing the tapioca pearls, but I was happy with the faintly sweet pudding and grass jelly. The earl grey was too diluted. 6. Black milk tea with herbal jelly: The grass jelly is subtle and wonderful, but this drink confirmed that their basic black tea is more watery, less flavorful, and just not as good as their green teas. I got all of these drinks with 70% sugar and«light» ice(note: wintermelon tea likely comes from a mix, so sugar level can’t be adjusted). Thank you, hyper-customizable Taiwanese bubble tea culture! Wait, there’s a loyalty card?

Extremely disappointed with this Gong Cha. Gong Cha is a highly known chain across Asia so I decided to give this one a shot. I was also getting bored with my usual Kung Fu milk tea and was hoping to find a good substitute. I got the Earl Grey Tea with milk foam, and it was probably one of the worst milk teas I’ve ever had. It becomes really questionable when I feel like I can conjure up a better drink. The milk foam tasted almost salty(perhaps the person making the drink was inexperienced?) and it was oddly just floating on top of my lukewarm tea drink. Not pleasant.

There are so many choices for bubble tea in Flushing that you really don’t have to Unilocal to find one. But if you do have to Unilocal and you want to know where the best bubble teas are, this place Gong Cha would be on that list. I am as much a bubble tea snob as I am with beer. So when I tell you that this place is on point, you know you are getting quality. What is quality bubble tea? The bubbles has to have an even consistency every time you order. That A la Dente that you expect from spaghetti at a fine Italian restaurant. The even balance of firm and chew is crucial. This place serves those bubbles with that consistency each and every time I’ve ordered from here. Their bubbles is slightly smaller than I would have liked but it is not enough to irk even the bubble fan in you. They have a pretty wide array of selections. They proudly display their top 10 for easy ordering. My favorite go to orders include… 1) QQ Passion Fruit Green Tea — Strong passion fruit flavor with each sip. Nice citric-y flavors that goes well with the tea and sweetness from the bubbles. 2) Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3 J’s — the J’s stand for the different types of jellies included in this drink. You can order simply with bubbles and skip the 3 J’s if you like. This drink is flavorful to the max. Good stuff. The one drink that I have tried that I DIDN’T like was the Lychee Oolong Tea with Bubbles. The flavor was too mild on the Oolong and Lychee flavor was non-existence. I should dock a point for never having their loyalty card in stock. But they do stamp your receipt so that when they do have the cards in stock they can note it on your loyalty card. Still, it is getting a wee bit inconvenient having to keep all my order receipts. I’m willing to let it slide for 1 or 2 more trips but after that the star gets docked. Overall, I am such a fan of this place.

If BOBA could be the only thing that I could drink for the rest of my life and not die, I would totally do it, and GONGCHAWOULDDEFINITELY be one of the places I would frequent all the time. This place is just everything you hope a boba place to be… efficient, clean, and soo many UNIQUEEEEEEEOPTIONS mixed with the classics. I really dig the herbal jelly and egg pudding here, so try the: EARLGREYMILKTEA with 3J’S– if you like a little extra something something in your boba! The toppings in this drink make it so good, paired with earl grey tea it’s perfection. For a Summery drink get the«Lemon Juice with white pearls and ai-yu» it’s LEMONY and refreshing. I like the little lemon zest that they put in it. I always ask for 30% sweet, because I like my drinks not as sugary. Everything here is fresh, doesn’t taste chemical-y, high quality, fun combinations to try, can’t wait to come back, depressed to think I can’t have this for a while!!! Boba 4LYF!!! BOBA4LYF.

I have stop drinking Bubble Tea due to the recent reports on the tapioca balls which make up the ‘bubbles’ in bubble tea, may include cancer causing chemicals! Oh Hell No … But dammit the bubble tea here was worth the risk … The spot is located in the lower level of the New World Mall in a corner stall. If you can’t find the spot, just look for the stall with the longest line. Sticking to the basics today, Large Pearl Milk Tea Please :). It was perfect in every way, from the Tea perfectly sweetened to the last tasty Bubble! Shout out to my man Anderson C., for putting me on to this spot … FYI: Lines may seen long, but moves fairly quickly …

Get the lemon ai yu with 50 percent sugar and less ice. Trust me, I usually drink 100 percent sugar and I think 50 percent is already too sweet. For the mustache series, get the milk foam green tea. I usually get 70 percent sugar and less ice for this one. But try whatever you like. You can either drink the milk foam from the cup so you get a taste of the foam, drink it from a straw on the bottom and then to the top to get the foam or mix the foam and tea together.

Gong Cha is NOT your regular bubble tea store. They have an impressive and creative menu that even veteran bubble tea stores can learn a thing or two! I enjoyed the Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3 J’s. It was sweet yet so tasty! I loved the Earl Grey aroma throughout my drink. The 3 J’s — tapioca, pudding, and grass jelly went very well with it too! I would request a bit less milk. A highly recommend! Lychee Oolong Tea is also a must-try! Lychee and Oolong combination were made for each other! I actually love the way they made it. You taste the lychee and you smell the pleasant oolong tea leaves. Make sure you shake it a bit longer so that it will fuse better! Like a lot of trendy bubble tea places these days, they cater to customers’ taste in sugar level and ice level. Take your pick! Overall, a very innovative and strong competitor in the bubble tea business! I will be back to try everything on their menu!
