Don’t get the drinks from here. Got the taro milk and red bean slush. Ughhhh tasted like water down versions. The rice ball was good though. Makes a good snack.

I’m at the New World food court a lot during lunch time, but never bother to try Tea Twitter. One day I decided to give it a try and I ordered the salt and pepper chicken over rice, it was very good! If you like to eat Taiwanese foods, you should give it a try.

I love love love the lychee sour. It’s a fricken lychee sour without the alcohol and it has the little lychee bits– so delicious! I definitely need to get my hands on some chicken next time from the rest of these Unilocal reviews.

Discovered this place on a trip to Flushing’s Chinatown and the New World Mall’s food court. Only got one thing to say — fried crispy chicken skins. YUM

A good drink has a lot of thought in it… I feel like tea twitter can do better… its a Taiwanese tea/snack shop! I’ve gone to a bunch of the bubble tea places in the area and this one is OK… I got the rose milk tea without bubbles… since they ran out… they end up running out on a lot of of milk tea flavors and toppings after lunch hour… be aware… got a larger shaved ice… the only flavor they have was black sugar… which i was fine with… you can choose any five toppings… prices here was pretty reasonable… their large shaved ice can serve up to three people! Like I said… it’s average… not bad… not amazing…

Their food platters are appetizing for fried meats served on styrofoam cafeteria trays. Cash only.

I’m somewhat split by the experience. Got the salt pepper chicken steak with garlic. Felt it was a tad overcooked(a little dry), left soggy on the bottom(breading coming off). And though I admit I was getting full, I wasn’t feeling as guilty as I struggled with the possibility of leaving the remaining pieces on the platter.(My last Taiwanese chicken experience in Toronto was more memorable). But though Unilocalers haven’t been as positive about the drinks, I was happy with my kumquat lemon drink.

Honestly speaking, I’ve only tried one of their dishes in the last few years. Why? Well… It’s THAT good. I always order their Taiwanese fried chickens combo which comes with traditional iced black tea(absolutely thirst quenching) and a side of peppered asparagus! No doubt that there are some MSG added to the chicken but it’s seriously delicious. I’m a tad bitter that they raised the combo price to $ 7.50 thought, but it’s still such a good deal because they give you lots of chicken, enough to finish your rice(which is covered in braised mince pork) and then have a to-go box still!

The only thing I tried from Tea Twitter were the fried chicken skins. They may not sound like the most appetizing thing, but they were absurdly delicious. They were fried to textbook perfection, crisp and not greasy at all, and coated in delicious seasoning powder, which was hot and tasted faintly of 5-spice. They’re served in a bag with skewers for easy and clean eating on the go, and they cost $ 3.50. I highly recommend them.

Rose flavored tea milk is really good but full of ice. Wish they would lower the ice down, I felt like I bought pack of ice instead of the drink itself

Superb fried chicken, yes salt and pepper chicken, spicy if you want, served with garlic if you care for it. They also have something I saw called«chicken steak», basically battered and fried chicken breast that is sliced. The chicken here is delicious and filling, very generous portions and friendly staff, this food court is one of my favorite places in NYC to have a cheap meal. There are a ton of other options available, but I am glad I found this, I think this may be my favorite stall out of all the others. Try a combo, it’s more than worth the money! It’s served with your choice of teas of the bubble variety if you want. ANDYOUWILLBEGUTBUSTINGLYFULLFORUNDER $ 10.

You’re in the busy streets between union and main on roosevelt ave, check this spot out. Despite it’s name serving good tea, they serve really tasty snacks, namely their salt and pepper chicken. If you’re in the mood for a good snack or a light dinner, definitely worth the $ 4.50. Want a meal, add a good 3 dollars and you get yummy string beans, suan cai, a mini zhu rou fan and your choice of a small black or green tea. Portions are real generous that you get an overwhelming amount of rice to enjoy everything else in your throwback styrofoam tray. The snacks are so good that it could survive on it’s own.

What I had: Rose Milk Tea Would I go back?: Yes Story: Came here for a cultural sunday with my friends. As i was strolling around to the different options for bubble tea the rose struck me. I am a lover of all rose flavored things so i had to get it — it was delicious but i was disappointed that i couldnt add bubbles.

Wow, I am a bit surprised that this place got such a low rating on Unilocal?Maybe the winter cold really did affect my taste bud. Tea Twitter is located inside the New World Mall Food court, You really can’t miss the place, it’s a gigantic food court, once you get off the escalator, go all the back and you’ll see it. I have been to Tea Twitter ever since they open in New World Mall and had been a fan ever since. There’s a reason why they are TEA twitter cause their drinks are legit! Seriously they are my 2nd favorite on my list across Flushing(Shiny Tea is #1 but they been slacking lately so we’ll see). One word of advice if you do venture into the food court during the weekend, make sure you bring a friend with you, make your friend find a table(they are a rare commodities during the weekend) and you go hunt for food, it’ll make your life much easier than holding your food while trying to hunt for a spot! 2 drinks I highly recommend are Jasmine green tea and the Milk Cap Black Tea. Jasmine Green Tea– I wonder what tea they use here, it’s so strong, you can truly taste and smell that Jasmine flavor even when it is sweeten! You don’t find too many places that’ll give you tea of this quality and only charge you $ 3 for it. Milk Cap Black Tea-What kind of milk do they do use here? It doesn’t taste like regular milk you buy off the street, it’s so creamy and had such strong milk flavor. It’s almost like a latte with very strong black tea(definitely not Lipton!). Simply delicious! MUSTTRY! Tea Twitter is not weak in the food department neither– the taste of their food are pretty Taiwanese(I had a few of my Taiwanese friends try their food and they all said the flavor tasted like what they had in Taiwan), if it’s legit enough for them, it’s legit enough for me! Some of my favorite food from there are: Crispy chicken filet/salty pepper popcorn chicken– Their chicken dishes are delicious here, I never had an over fried chicken filet or popcorn chicken so they are always crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Again, I don’t know what spice they use to flavor the chicken, it’s not only flavorful, not overly salty but all my Taiwanese friends said it tasted like Taiwan so it sounds pretty authentic to me. If you are in for something a little lighter, try their Crispy Fish Filet over rice, I mean they pretty much use the same type of seasoning for both the fish and chicken but the fish doesn’t taste as greasy as the chicken, it’s super light and fluffy inside while crunchy on the outside. DOME A FAVOR– if you are going to get these crispy, deep fried dishes, DON’T GETITTOGOPLEASE! Just eat it fresh, we all know what happens to these crispy goodness once they are stuff in a box so let’s try our best to avoid that! They also have the Pick 3 for $ 9.99 for those who enjoy their deep fried snacks, they are pretty good and reminded of Sago(remember Sago back in the days? — now I feel old!) Wait time: 10– 15 minutes, everything is fresh from the fryer, if I’m okay with waiting for Mcdonald for 10 minutes, I can wait 15 minutes for this. Price: Average– a rice combo and drink will probably cost you around $ 10 but consider how much food they give you, you’ll probably have enough food for another meal. Overall: There’s no denying that I’m a fan of tea twitter, although the wait time for this place varies but in the end, you are getting fresh, hot, authentic food right from the deep fryer. The drinks are legit, I am pretty sure(other than Shiny tea or maybe TenRen) you won’t find strong tea like this in Flushing!

Tea twitter is your typical bubble tea place with some food, I do prefer this place to most of the other ones in the mall. I liked the hazelnut milk tea, however they did not have any tapioca bubbles. The fried pork chop and fried chicken filet looked good and are next on my list. I would NOT recommend the fried chicken skins, you are basically just eating fat, and it was too salty for anyone to eat. I definitely want to go back and try some of the other items

Situated in the New World Mall food court you’ll find this Taiwanese food court booth. Cheap, simple, but well made food combos and teas. You can’t go wrong with the salt and pepper fried chicken, rice, pickles, tea egg, and green tea combo. Chicken was moist and fried up well. Definitely tasty and makes a good meal. Also had a chance to try the salt and pepper fried fish as well but that seemed a lil soggy on one side and crisp on the other while with the chicken it was crisp all around. Both were tasty but i would prefer the chicken. For ample seating space in the food court or for take out you can’t go wrong with this meal combo at a affordable price.

Jasmine green tea with milk. Too sweet. Hot. Large. But $ 3…I don’t think so…
