I didn’t eat there, I went in there to ask for a take-out menu. The girl working there told me rudely that they only have eat-in menus. If I wanted to order take-out, I would have to come in and order from that thick eat-in menu, unless I memorized everything on that menu. What a genius idea! What great customer service! They will not get my business for SURE!

Food is horrible. Place is dirty. Went there with my mother, thought they are good in congee or bao’s. unfortunately people go there for the price and the quantity not the QUALITY.

Pretty delicious restaurant in Flushing. This restaurant is located on the corner of a little complex of stores, including Satay, a Malaysian restaurant, and a bakery. This restaurant serves up very authentic Northern style Chinese classics, as well as some others. I had came here when strolling around Kissena Boulevard with the idea of finding a satisfying Chinese restaurant. We were a little uncertain about this place because of the B in the window and the very authentic menu(pork blood, tendon, jellyfish, lung, kidney, etc.) I don’t eat those parts, so I was trying to figure out what to order. I took the orthodox route, and normal in my opinion means noodles and meat. I found the beef noodles soup, which was a generous portion, for about $ 5. It was very large and consisted of delicious noodles, small pieces of beef, a dark broth with a savory taste, and bok choy. We had two orders of that. We also ordered the cumin lamb. It was very spicy and a little tough to eat. I hate cumin seeds, but the chicken was good in taste. We also tried their pan fried dumplings, which were delicious, but a little bland. The restaurant is very home style, like you are in someone’s house. This place wasn’t so crowded when we went. I would recommend this restaurant to you looking for a delicious restaurant!

With all the completion in queens, this place was below average. The tofu soup was just ok. The lamb bun was terrible. Didn’t taste good at all.

Guan Dong Yi Jia is a classic Northern Chinese restaurant. The staff here don’t look like they know a word of English so its wise to bring a mandarin speaking friend. We ate the kung pao chicken, water spinach, fish flagranced pork strips, lamb, fried rice, mushrooms with chicken stew, double cooked pork, and a mystery dish on the house. It’s pretty legit Northern Chinese cuisine but most dishes end up being a bit too salty. If you’re a non-Chinese who eat Chinese takeouts you’re probably used to this amount of salt so it might be better catered to the Western customers. I recommend the double cooked pork. If you’re Chinese looking to get your spice on, the dishes here aren’t as spicy as I expected. Perhaps they overheard us speaking some Cantonese and guessed we preferred our food a bit milder. The service is not as bad as the first reviewer made it out to be. Chinese style table waiting will never be as ‘homey’ as a Western establishment. They will answer whatever questions you have about the dish and bring the dishes to your table. Besides that they don’t really bug you and you have to call them if you need anything. They’re all very nice people — that I assure you. I’m giving it 3 stars for having legit but unmemorable Northern dishes and also dirty looking dining room, which I bet contributed to their B sanitary rating. There was a fly that just flew around our food the whole time. If you dine in Chinatown often you’d know what I mean.

VERYUNHAPPY and APPALLED at how MEAN and UNFRIENDLY their staff are! NEVER will I be a customer and I DONOT recommend others from coming here, unless you enjoy very UNFRIENDLY, INHOSPITABLE, HOSTILE service. If it was possible to give ZERO stars I would! The food is not anything to brag about, and even if the food was good, the service makes or breaks an experience. And in this case, it broke the experience in to a million pieces that will never be able to be put back together. They’ve lost my family and I as customers.

We’ve been here numerous times. The chef is from Kaifeng and makes superb dishes. We’ve ordered so much from the menu and have rarely been disappointed. My favorites are the kung pao chicken, and the beef with scallion. They have plenty of fish dishes as well as more exotic, hard core Chinese menu choices. Friendly, casual atmosphere. It can get loud sometimes as some of their patrons really enjoy their drinking! Recommended!
