I used to enjoy coming here as a quick relatively cheap dinner. After my last experience, this is no longer. As a foodie, I can basically guess what happened to my food before I got it, and it doesnt make me happy. I wouild bet on the use of the microwave, although, I cant say that for sure. My eggplant parm was cold, and the eggplant had not been thoroughly cooked. It was stringy on the inside, and while the cheese had been melted it was still no more than room temperature by the time it arrived. Not sure when I’m going back, if ever. Big disappointment.

I remember Visiting Kosher Corner as a child with my parents and siblings. As a kid my younger sister and I always ordered their waffles and drenched them in what had to be a maple syrup. This will be a fond memory for a long time. The establishment has always been clean and the food is pretty good. A lot of restaurants these days are serving drinks in plastic cups. This to me is a major turn off. I like to be served in a glass and this establishment provides glasses and maintains a ‘classy status’ in my estimation. A few years ago they served the most amazing tasting lasagna you could ever imagine. The secret was definitely in the sauce. My brother was particularly taken by this dish and they gave him the recipe. According to the instructions my brother sat over a pot of tomato sauce for 7 hours at a time and could never recreate this sauce(till this day we think that they must have left out an ingredient). But lately the lasagna has not been as good although I would not hesitate to order it the next time I come in. p. s. be prepared to wait for your dishes, but they come out delicious.

Great kosher deli with an extensive menu and an old world ambiance. I had the falafel baked potato boat with israeli salad. Although the israeli salad wasn’t that impressive, the falafel, tahini and baked potato were all delicious. We brought my Jewish grandmother there for lunch and she is still talking about the delicious blintzes!

For any Kew Gardens Hills native who has kept kosher… this place is unavoidable — there’s always someone’s birthday to celebrate or reunion to host and a good percentage of the time it’s held there. Thinking back, I can’t recall a single actually good dining experience I’ve had at Kosher Corner — service feels a little lazy, often I get dirty forks or glasses and somehow I always want to order the thing they’ve run out of or stopped making. The pastas are o. k, i would say the best is their baked ziti, but most things I’ve had have been blandish, and this is the only place where I have ever actually sent something back — this place is really pricey for really mediocre(at best) food. Now, there’s nothing terrible about this place, but I just wish they’d put in a little more effort and not bank on being the only(obviously, kosher) sit-down dairy restaurant in kew garden hills.

My love for the lafah sandwiches at Kosher Corner surpass the love I have for chocolate. I know, that’s a serious statement — But I stick to it. My favorite is the grilled salmon lafah — just stock full of fish, mashed potatoes and tons of veggies. After I eat one of those guys, I always have the same fleeting wish that I miraculously had a wheel barrel«on call» to roll me out. Maybe I should invest in one.

Also known as the Dairy Café, this is a small Kosher restaurant on Main Street in Flushing. They consider their cuisine to be American/French/Italian/Mediterranean. As one might imagine, the menu is quite extensive. They have salads, frittatas, soups, pasta, fish, pizza… Whenever I have gone, the tables are always close to filled with families from the neighborhood. I’m not Jewish, and I don’t keep Kosher, but I am very happy that a friend of mine brought me here. The food was so flavorful. I’ve ordered the Portobello Lafah Melt three times now. It is sort of like a calzone, but filled with mashed potatoes, onion, and mushrooms. The dish transports me to heaven. It’s quite large, but because of its deliciousness, I usually eat past the halfway mark. Then I get frustrated when I can’t save enough for lunch-sized leftovers!(You know what I’m talking about.) The dessert choices all look amazing, although I’ve only ordered two and tasted others from my friends. I have never heard a bad word on them, and I don’t think you could choose wrong. Although it’s popular, I’ve managed to go twice with a group of about 7 people and not waited more than a few minutes for a table. FYI, you can also call ahead and pick up a meal to-go.
