Used to be good not anymore. They now send out their menus that say they deliver and free delivery mind you. I called to order food for myself and my coworkers and when I asked are they delivering they tell me NOWEDON’T DELIVERYOUCOMEPICKFOODUP. Why put that on your menu that you deliver when you don’t

My how this place has fallen. Around 5 years ago I used to come here quite often because I used to frequent a bar in the area. This place was pretty awesome then. Fast and friendly service usually with a smile. Prices were generally high, but that is a given due to their strategic location. Fast forward to present day. Don’t go here if it can be helped. Prepare yourself for some ridiculousness because this place serves it up by the shovel! Ownership definitely seems to have changed. Now you have some pretty grumpy Koreans that really don’t give a crap about you. They know you’re not here because you want to be. They know you’re here out of convenience. Let’s face it – they have quite the awesome monopoly here. They can charge what they like. I’m not against using your location to your advantage, but do you have to rip people off so rudely? I don’t blame anyone that has to frequent this place because you must be doing it out of necessity. No harm there. Support them if you must because I’m sure ownership knows that too. So don’t feel guilty. Nothing personal. Just business. You’ve been warned, but then again I’m sure you know exactly what you’re walking into here. Fire in the hole!

I appreciate the fact that this place is across the street from NY Hospital, Queens and is open 24 hours. The deli items are usually good and they stock a variety of food items from many parts of the world. HOWEVER, The owners are not only RUDE, RACIST, and REPULSIVE but the prices are so far and above what they should be. They also change the price of deli items from hour to hour. You’ll never pay the same price for something if you plan to go at different 2 hour intervals. They charge .25 for toasting your bagel/bread and are very nasty about requests for more of any condiment. Their buffet items arrive at 7am and sit there until about 3pm and costs $ 6.50 per pound no matter how stale the food is. I’ll never step foot in that place again. I’ve worked at the hospital for 6 years and I’d rather get my coffee from the pizzeria, Chinese bakery, or yogurt shop. Theres a Hess Station down the road for after hour cravings. I’d avoid this place at all cost because their business practices do not reflect anything I’d like to support. In fact, there sign says, «Soon Deli» not S&H Grocery. I think this is yet another purposeful tactic to avoid negative review.

Ching Chang wing wong the sounds a fired up grill makes when Its serving delicious hoagies and tuna melts. The most American thing about this place are the heros. The America hero runs around 7 dollars so NEVERFORGET. IF you pay them $ 9.11 you can get a soda too.

Wow I cannot believe how overtly rude the cashier was. I’ve only been here a handful of times and decided to stop in to get some cold cuts since I was in the area. I stood at the counter waiting for the cashier to take my order. She looked over at me and said in a snotty, rude, tone«yeah?» My reaction was to chuckle and shake my head. I reluctantly gave her my order since my first instinct was to walk out. Besides the poor service(which I come to expect in this part of Flushing), the store is stocked so bizarrely; a whole aisle in a prime spot with European style bakery cookies in plastic containers. I can’t imagine they sell well. But, of course, no Entenmanns as you would think a deli this size would have. You can see this place has a monopoly due its proximity to NYHQ. If I worked at the hospital, I’d eat in the cafeteria. Stores that take your business for granted because they can, don’t deserve it. Soon Deli Grocery is a prime example.

I’ve been coming here for many years now and the service just gets worse and worse. The owners seem to have changed numerous times and each time the prices go higher and higher and the customer service gets lower and lower. The woman behind the cashier is ALWAYS nasty to you no matter what time of the day it is. She throws things around and huffs and puffs when you ask her to put your stuff into a bag. I mean I sure pay enough don’t you think I should at least get a plastic bag to hold my purchase? I much rather walk the extra 2 blocks to the bagel shop on Main Street to get something to drink from now on…

This is a small size deli and grocery store located right next to the NY hospital medical center and carvel’s ice cream store! Doctors and nurses frequent here often for lunch. The philly cheesesteak sandiwch is so good, packed with lots of meat, peppers of various colors and onions — around $ 6 for a footlong and add 50 cents for mushrooms which makes it taste even better. There is a considerable amount of oil in it but it’s what makes philly cs sandwiches good. My friend ordered a salad here before which was pre-made — around $ 6 for a large container of ham+cheese wrap cut into pieces, dice eggs, and your typical veggies to go along with it. It was wroth every penny. It’s a small and quiet popular deli, you’ll always find a ccustomer in there. conveniently located at the corner of the block, next to the hospital and a bus stop.
