I personally like this restaurant and have been going several times but yesterday, I had experienced the most obnoxious and money hungry waiter ever! First off, my friend and I wanted to sit near the window. The waiter in charge of the section told us we weren’t allowed to sit there. That was fine, but work on your obnoxious expression on your face. He could have told us in a pleasant manner without the ugly expression. That much we overlooked. Figured one of those unhappy employees. Then after we placed our orders, this waiter came to our table 5+ times to repeatedly ask if we were going to order anything more. The first two times it was fine, but when you keep coming to the table repeatedly, then it gets super annoying and makes it seem like you either want to kick us out or expect to raise your tip by making us order more. My friend and I ordered two prime beef with our meal and was still working on our meal. Finally, the icing on the cake. This obnoxious waiter had the audacity to come to our table and say to us there is a 90-minute rule. At first, he was mumbling, so my friend and I couldn’t even understand what he was saying. Then after straining my ear and asking him to repeat what he said, that’s when I heard this unruly waiter say to us it is almost 90 minutes. You need to leave. Are you kidding me!!! Never have I been told blatantly in such a rude manner to leave! I have gone to that restaurant several times and NEVER was there such a rule! I wasn’t even done with my meal! He saw that I was still working on my meal. By that time I lost my appetite, paid for the check and left. I regret not having called the manager on this obnoxious waiter and not getting his name. I plan on making my way over to the restaurant and making sure I let the manager know next time though. Due to the extremely poor service and being unable to finish my meal, I didn’t offer a nice tip. He is lucky I even left something. I regret having given any at all. I am a very good tipper and am always respectful to everyone I encounter, but that waiter deserved absolutely no respect. I only got to go up once to fill my plate. I wasn’t even done with my first plate either! Wow! I hope I never see him working there again. If I do, I will make sure he doesn’t wait my table and let it be known to him that he needs to go and learn some etiquette. I am writing this to make the owner aware of poor service by a waiter there that will affect his business. The waiter tried to make more tip by kicking us out and getting the next customer in, but it backfired. There were so many other empty tables around. There was no reason for him to kick us out because of a 90-minute rule. Terrible experience! The waiters unprofessionalism completely ruined what could have been a pleasant dinner.

This place is SO worth it! I’ve been to Minnies Shabu Shabu before. And when I came into Spring Shabu Shabu, I was so surprised. This place triumphs any shabu shabu place that I’ve tried in Flushing so far. 1. Soup base $ 11.95 Two different variety(Dashi & Pork Broth) & choice of non-spicy to spicy 2. Meat/Seafood $ 4 and up There is a decent amount, but it can be small for some people. Some meat plates cost more than $ 4. So if you want to eat a lot, the price racks up. 3. Vegetables & other add ins Spring Shabu Shabu is like a buffet style of vegetables & other add ins There is an abundance of all kinds of vegetables, dumplings, fish cakes/balls, noodles, rice, etc. You can easily get full off of these add ins. Good value for what you are paying. And the place is pretty big, so you arent so rushed to finish eating. Overall, its amazing!

Love love this place. The $ 16.95 base price gets you a choice of soup(vegetarian, spicy veg, pork, and spicy pork) and unfettered access to the buffet of vegetables, meat balls, fish balls, fish cakes, various types of noodles and ramen, mini sausages, dumplings, and the sauce bar. That by itself can fill you up. If you must have a protein, it’s priced by portion, ranging from $ 5-$ 7 for meat or seafood. It’s always pretty clean, and, depending on your party size, there may be a wait but it’s not that bad unless you’re over a party of 6. The servers are very attentive and always make sure your soup and drinks are refilled. have been to this place many times, and i imagine when it gets colder i’ll be there again.

FAAAAN-TUUUUS-TIC! LOL so excited to write my review because i was just there today for the 8th time :) the review is not just for food, but also the wait staff!!! first of all, i don’t really do much reviewing on restaurants, Im more like checking them out by reading reviews and looking at pictures first, but because i am so happy with this place, i had this feeling that I want to share my thoughts about this place, so people like me, who mostly relies on reviews before going will know how it is to be in this place! i am not a big fan of soup. the reason is because i don’t know what they mix with my soup. i hate that pre-made soup are super yummy taste, that makes me cringed, because you don’t know what flavoring, preservatives or worst MSG to put in it. so to start off, their soup, of different varieties are fantastic!!! my favorite though is PORKBONE. and their hot sauce with peppers are so good. i am so happy i get to pick and choose what goes in my food. from veggies, to flavors(esp the fresh pineapple sauce) to meat, and different amount of food to choose from, omg!!! and i love it how they serve it fresh and cold. i guess the only part i don’t like in this place are the refills for my favorite tofu. lol. sometimes i have to go back and forth to check if they stock it up with my fave tofu(the one with fish filling inside and cheese tofu) but whatever, its nothing compared to how I’m inlove with this place but you know what stands out most in restaurants? its primarily the food, but secondly, it is also important how the people who works there treats you. and let me tell you, for 8 times i went there, there were only 2 wait staff that stand out to me. I am not completely sure but i think their names were sophia, especially Gema. they’re freaking awesome!!! gema doesnt smile in the beginning though, lol, but don’t judge because she is actually super nice. what i like about her is she makes sure she gives me enough space so it doesnt look like she’s trying to please me to get good tip. :D also she doesn’t take my unemptied plate, because some wait staff would pass by and grab my plates even though there were something on it. its annoying you know, theres no, EXCUSEMECAN I TAKETHIS, etc. they would just grab it and makes the water in the plate splash all over the floor. so let me tell you, the 2nd time i went here, this girl, gema, was serving the area opposite to mine, but at first i wasn’t paying attention to the wait staff. so the girl who served me, i would ask for spoon, then fork, then later on i would ask extra soup, then whatever, and this staff made me feel uncomfortable like she’s being disturbed, and that is why i kept asking unnecessary things from her. so anyway, she originally saw me burning my tongue with metal chop sticks and she doest give a f**k, she even passed me by with nothing to say, so that is when i saw gema from the other area opposite to my row, she came right in front of me, and ask how i was feeling(because she saw me sipping my cold ginger ale from burning my tongue) and i didnt even asked her for a wood chopsticks, she already handed me it. although she didnt serve me originally she still made an effort to give me what i need, although i had bad experience with this first wait staff, gema made me really feel special. and i think the people eating to her area are liking her too because they will wave back at her even if they’re about to leave. that is why i told myself, i want her to be recognized because she is an amazing wait staff. by luck, she served me for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and that is why I will always request for an area where she is lol. that is when i meet with sophia too, she is super sweet and friendly, always smiling, so when gema is not there i request for sophia. and also, that is why i keep coming back to this place because of the exceptional customer service experience from these two girls. if you would like to be treated like a celeb, lol, please look for this wait staff as they does above and beyond to make sure you have an exceptional experience in this restaurant. :) overall, the food is AMAZING, the wait stafff(sophia and gema) was FANTASTIC. and the price is pretty reasonable. And the place is super cozy, clean and welcoming. Omg!!! i love this place not just for raining, or cold season, if i could i will be here everyday. :D btw, their ice cream too is sooooooo super yummy. i combine the chocolate and vanilla. makes me crave right now and eat there again tomorrow. lol :)

This spot is for all you health nuts out there! It’s more concentrated on unlimited choices of veggies, noodles, and fish balls. Meats are a la carte. For the price your paying. It’s not too bad. I do have to say though. Most of their choices of fish balls are mostly dough. Try not to fill yourself with such! Definitely order up the seafood selections. I felt like you’ll get more bang for your buck. If it’s a small group or just the 2 then either is fine. Definitely enjoy their fresh ramen, roe fish balls, and seafood platter ! Parking around there is quite hard. I would say just toss it in the lot across the street.

Great hot pot restaurant. IMO the key to all hot pot spots should be individualized pots. Dump your own stuff info the pot, soup base will morph into whatever you desire, not someone else’s. Not much meat selection, super basic staple selection of beef, lamb, and tripe. Well priced, that’s a plus. Can’t say enough about the veggie selection though. That’s the buffet portion of the meal. Numerous options spanning about three aisles. Leafy choices, fibrous choices to help with the constipated, starchy choices, etc. Also an aisles worth of fish/meat balls and tofu. Some are better than the other, never really tried to remember which is which. Just grab one of each, and stick with the one I enjoyed for the rest of the dinner. Repeat every meal… Last aisle consists of carbs(rice and plethora of noodles) and dumplings. Dumplings kinda suck. Not a fan of noodles in general so I skip. Rice is great for congee. End the meal stuffed. Also great selection of sauces. Usual stuff plus a few not usually seen including the purée chives, personal favorite.

Walked in around 7:45pm with two friends and we were seated immediately. The waiter introduced us to the different broth types before taking our order for drinks. We then ordered the meats we wanted before getting all the noodles, veggies, fish balls, etc our little hearts desires. Don’t order too much meat like we made the mistake of doing as there is so much to eat and choose from. It’s around $ 17/$ 18 per person before tax and not including meat. Even if you don’t get meat, there are so many other things that have meat in them like sausages and fish balls that people don’t even order meat at all. The meat and seafood that we ordered were fresh and there was a good amount of food to choose from in the buffet sections!

Gotta love the feeling of regret after you get your 4th round of food from the AYCE buffet ! Jokes aside, this place is pretty on point. Our server was super nice and energetic and consistently made sure everything was up to par and our waters were refilled. Onto the food. Soup base choices: Spicy pork bone, pork bone, dashi(and one more but I forgot) The addition of meat is $ 4 – 6 depending on the cut of meat. You only get one plate of meat but I think it’s necessary sometimes to get that variety into the hotpot because their buffet is meat-less. A bit pricey for just a plate of meat but it really just depends on your mood. The buffet itself is pretty nice and well laid out. Lunch prices are really worth it because it’s pretty cheap and dinner prices aren’t too bad either. Their sauce bar has literally everything you need as well. Definitely recommend coming here if it’s cold out and you’re feeling like you want some soup and things. If I had to pick any bad thing to say about this place is that they don’t have any seafood selections and their meat-game can be improved a bit but I would definitely come back for lunch. Gotta love hot pot !!

I’ve been here a few times now and I know the drill. Here’s the run down. –Go for the spicy pork broth as your soup base. Dashi if you want a cleaner, less greasy taste –Seafood is my favorite rather than the meat options, super fresh and enough to fill you up –Load up on as many veggies as possible. I stay away from the frozen stuff –For noodles, go for udon if you want to explode. Smaller noodles if you don’t want to hate yourself –Soft serve vanilla ice cream is a must You’re welcome.

Buffet style hot pot. Lots of veggie options to choose from with 4 different soup base, dashi(radish), pork bone, and the same with spicy options. You don’t really need to order any more since they have over 30 options of veggie/fishballs/noodle choices you can cook. It’ll be good to share a plate of meat at your table, I’d suggest just going with their base options and once you start eating you can always decide whether or not you still want to order more. They have lots of seats here so it’s a good place to hold a group lunch or a group dinner. Everyone can have their own pot and cook whatever they want. They also have a sauce station which is pretty cool. To finish your meal, you can get their ice cream as well. Lunch price is even better than dinner so if you’re looking for a buffet style hot pot, give this place a try!

Usually at a hotpot buffet, you’re paying around 25 dollars per person. You also try to eat as much beef as possible to get your worth. With Spring Shabu Shabu, you can easily just fill up on fish balls, veggies, dumplings, ramen, and other non meats. And pay only $ 15 per person for dinner. If you want a side of beef, that only adds another $ 5. Everything was pretty clean too. Waitress was pretty nice to our party. See my pictures for price and menu.

This spot is a veggie heaven especially during cold wintery days. Unlike most hot pot buffet, this spot offers unlimited veggies and hot pot essentials that aren’t meat or seafood. This allows them to charge you less for the unlimited offerings. The meat and seafood are charge by plates ranging from $ 3 – 7. You can each choose your individual broth, as well as spicy or not. The broths aren’t as tasty as Mister Hot Pot and a lot less cumin-y and spicy compare to Mongolian Little Sheep Hot Pot. Additionally, Spring has one of the most extensive variety of sauces offered. The only thing I wish they provided was combos of what to mix together to make tasty dips(like what Mongolian Little Sheep have). For the price we paid for lunch on a weekend($ 13.95 per person plus 2 plates of meats), it was a bit less than how much we would have spent at those al carte hot pot spots. I think I fairly enjoyed my experience here, but if you are a fan of lots of meats and seafood in your hot pot, this spot might not be the most cost efficient place to go!

I went all the way out to Flushing(from Jersey) to try this place out, highly recommended by a friend. This place is great — individual hot pot, buffet style, and fresh greens. It’s a set price per person and it’ll cost you extra if you order meat(which I thought was pretty expensive for the amount of meat they serve on each plate). I think the location is pretty good, there’s a parking garage right across from the restaurant and it’s walking distance from the subway stop, but I had a hard time finding how to get inside the restaurant — ended up going through the back. It wasn’t the best hot pot I’ve had, but it was still pretty good. Customer service was fair and overall, the restaurant was clean. I would give this place four stars.

I love coming here for AYCE individual hot pot so much, I went twice in one week! I’m pretty sure that’s nothing for some people, though, lol. But if you’re looking for a hot pot that specializes in veggies, this is definitely your place. Getting to Spring Shabu Shabu(SSS for the rest of this review) is a bit complex if you haven’t been there before or if you are meeting a friend there: if you’re taking the elevators(2nd floor), you’re going to have to walk all the way down in the restaurant(passing all of that yummy food!) to reach the host station. It’s awkward, but I’m assuming that’s what happens when you have 2 entrances… And if you take the stairs, the host station is simply there when you reach the top. Lunch(11:30AM-3PM): $ 10.95 Dinner(3PM-10PM): $ 14.95 /$ 16.95(Fri-Sun) Then you add extra $ for your meats/seafood — which is definitely worth it, but if you’re all about veggies, SSS is, too! So depending on what you order, your meal could be about $ 15+ … For meat lovers, you’re looking at $ 20+. Definitely worth it. For your soup bases, obviously go with the pork bone. But if you’re going the anti-pork route, go with the fish stock. If you think your broth is too bland, throw in your sauce(which you can make yourself with a variety of ingredients) and voilà, more flavor! And then proceed to eat to your heart’s content! And unlike other AYCEs, if you don’t finish your food, SSS won’t charge you. I’m not saying to be wasteful, but this is a good thing to know when sometimes you just can’t eat that last bite. But no pressure. Cailin’s Suggestion:(I can’t give my regular recommendations since this is an AYCE, lol) Take your date here for dinner, then take the elevators to 10below ice cream for dessert! #bestdateever #yourewelcome I just wish this place was open until 11pm … They usually close at 10pm(even on weekends) so plan accordingly.

One of the cleaner modern hot pot place I’ve ever been to. They have a waiting area with seats for people, which i thought was a nice touch. We probably waited about 20 mins for our table on a busy Saturday night. For dinner it was $ 14.95 but for fri-sun it was extra $ 2. They have a wide varieties of all you can eat veggies, fishballs, and noodles. It’s buffet style which I like. Im not a big meat eater so this place was perfect. But we did end up ordering the prime and ribeye for extra cost. I like that its individual pots and you can just go up and grab whatever you want. Theres 4 different soup base: dried fish dashi, spicy dashi, pork bone, and spicy pork bone. The sauce station had many choices as well with both sides so people arent crowding around. And for dessert they have a vanilla and chocolate ice cream. I definitely see myself back here on a week night to get my hotpot fix!

I think I’ve found my favorite AYCE hot spot in NYC. For a fixed price, Spring Shabu Shabu offers unlimited vegetables, dumplings, noodles, fish balls, etc. Meats and seafood are ordered separately, so I can see why the meat and seafood-lovers here might find themselves spending $ 30+ per person. I’m not a huge meat lover(but definitely a huge fish ball and veggie lover), so I found this spot perfect. Everything was fresh and replenished frequently. I love the open layout of the place and how it’s roomy and not claustrophobic. My server was also super sweet and attentive. She made sure our cups and pots were filled, our tables were cleared from clutter, and even came by to stir our pots every so often. I think this place is managed by Koreans, so imagine A+ Korean BBQ hospitality + the deliciousness of Chinese hotpot. Can’t wait to come back!

It’s a «buffet» except for meats and seafood… which is not really all-you-can-eat for all the meat/seafood-lovers out there. Everything offered in the buffet are veggies, tofu, noodles, etc. Each plate of meat is like an extra $ 5. Nevertheless, the veggies were nice and fresh. They had a whole column for different types of noodles, lovely portioned. The place is pretty huge– very spacious and clean. It’s cheap! For all-you-can-eat during lunch, it was only like $ 11(of course, that’s if you don’t order meat). It’s super worth for the veggie-lovers. The staff was also very attentive and nice. It’s easy to call someone over to refill water or soup. Though the broths can be a bit more flavorful, this place is better than the Korean restaurant in replaced.

Best of the best. This place has a crazy selection of vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients for their shabu shabu. I still have no clue what the secret sauce is but this place may have the best shabu I’ve had. If you want to get some shabu, check this place out. It’s a buffet with an extra cost for different meats and seafood, but you don’t need to get it because the base price includes so much.

A friend and I came here for lunar new year brunch. For the price point, it’s a very good deal. There’s a wide selection of vegetables, starches, fishballs, etc. Sliced meat and/or seafood is a couple dollars extra. Each diner gets their own soup pot rather than sharing one big pot of broth. Because of that, I would recommend taking care not to go overboard in the buffet aisle. The service was pretty good. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

I was visiting NYC and stumbled upon this place. I’m not a fan of hotpot or shabu shabu or a buffet, but this place does it differently. Everyone has their own heated pot. That means I don’t have to share other people’s germs. And the quality of the bufet items(veggies, sauces, and other food items) is fresh and top notch. You have a choice of broth: vegetable, spicy, and pork. We went with spicy and pork. EXCELLENT. Unlike other hotpot and shabu shabu places, the broth was not bland. I didn’t have to throw in anything to make it tasty. This place is much better than the nearby places like Little Sheep. Plus, as a buffet, you have the freedom to get whatever you want at anytime. No more waiting around for those waiters. Anyways, the there’s a lot of sauces that you can choose from, and the variety of veggies is pretty darn good. I especially loved the dumplings. YUM!!! Prices are pretty good. We paid about $ 20 per person for dinner. It was about $ 15 + $ 5 for the meat. I think seafood is $ 7. This is cheaper and more convenient than Minni’s, which is across the street and always crowded with obnoxious college kids(at least that’s why I encountered in my previous NYC visit).

Pro: For $ 12.95 per person at weekend for lunch was a great deal. We can eat unlimited vegetable/noodle/dumpling/tofu, etc. Meat was just $ 5 more. We have a great time there. It is the best place for friends and family spending fun time together. Con: The ventilation/exhaust fan system was a problem. They don’t have the usual fan on top of the hot pot. When it boiled, the steam blew directly to our faces. It is like taking steam(soup) shower. When we left, we all smell like food.

LOVEDTHISPLACE! The food was so fresh, and you have so much to choose from! Like everyone else has said… you don’t even have to order meat because the buffet items are filling enough. And as annoying as my party was for switching from spicy pork broth to regular, the waiter was very kind and accommodating. Come here for lunch and save a ton of money on the flat rate and meats! My party of 5 had an order of lamb(FAV!), fatty beef, ribeye, and seafood. Our meal came out to $ 18 a person! My only negative is that there’s a 90minute time restriction. I get it, people will probably be there all day if they could, but I think there’s definitely a learning curve for new folks that should be accounted for so they don’t feel pressured. Will definitely come again!

Hot soup, unlimited veggies, noodles for days, good company, and ice cream at the end… What could be better?! I’ve come here multiple times for lunch and dinner, and it’s always a fantastic experience. Lunch $ 10.95, dinner $ 15.95 for all you can eat veggies, noodles, greens, sauce bar, and a selection of seafood fish cakes/balls. Meats are a la carte style for extra charge(ranging from $ 3– $ 7 for plates of beef, chicken, pork, lamb, tripe and seafood). There are 2 entrances to the second floor restaurant. If you walk through the less elegant back door, the host is at the front so be sure to walk through the restaurant to get seated. Similar to other individual hotpot places, they give free barley tea, then you select your soup(choice of Dashi –fish and vegetable stock, Spicy Dashi, Pork Bone, Spicy Pork Bone, and Vegetarian) and then off to the buffet lines! Load up on taro, tomatoes, and napa cabbage to further flavor your soup(this is a personal preference), and an stack up exorbitant amounts of green leafy vegetables. Mmmmmmmmm :) They also have the most noodle options I’ve ever seen. Rolled up in adorable single serving bundles, it’s just the right amount to try every type of noodle. Don’t forget to get creative at the sauce bar! They have all the usual options: shacha sauce, peanut sauce, and garlic; but there’s additional yogurt sauce and special Spring Buffet sauce. I’ve yet to try either as I am a creature of habit and always concoct my usual peanut/sesame sauce combo. On my most recent visit my friend and I were seated immediately on a Friday at noon. With the restaurant about 75% full, the waiters were very attentive, always clearing plates, refilling bowls of soup and cups of tea. Lastly, they have ice cream for dessert! Being environmentally conscious I’m a bit disappointed in the plastic spoons and cups for ice cream. But luckily, you can just grab a sauce bowl and metal spoon on the side. Yay for no single-use disposable cups!

Phenomenal value on a weekday lunch for only $ 10.95! Individual hotpot-style. Sliced meats/seafood cost extra, but there are PLENTY of vegetables, dumplings, meat balls, noodles, etc. to fill you up in the main buffet. The biggest appeal of this all-you-can-eat hotpot is the extensive offering of fresh vegetables. I was impressed! Service was good, but not as excellent on my visit as some other Unilocalers have mentioned in their reviews. It’s a large space with a good number of seats, and a nice waiting room upfront when it gets really busy. I noticed quite a few Korean touches(Korean-style dumplings, Korean rice cakes, some different hotpot sauces), which makes me think the owners are Korean, although all buffet items were labeled in English, Chinese, and Korean. Not 5-star worthy for me since the broths were kind of plain, plus a lot of the vegetable labels in the buffet were wrong. I usually finish all of my hotpot broth, but they had so many noodle options in small portions that I wanted to try that I ended up being too full to drink all of my soup! First time for everything, I suppose. Overall, a very competitive price and a pretty extensive variety of ingredients make this an excellent place in my book!

Delish and super affordable! I may have found a regular AYCE hot spot spot in Flushing! For vegetables and noodle lovers, this will be heaven for you! Meat lovers, not so much but give it a try anyway! If you want the best deal, lunch will be the best time to go! Once after you and your party is seated, a waiter will come around to ask for your choice of broth or add on any plates of meat and seafood. After that… waste no time! Ready! Get set! Go! There you go off to the buffet area where you can grab your dumplings, fish balls, vegetables, and freshly made noodles. By the time you come back, your soup is ready in front of you! Variety of sauces available at the station is amazing! For the broth I went with the Spicy Pork Bone(of course!) and it is great choice for it is very flavorful for my other ingredients. I also opt in for the White Fish dish, it is not a real hot pot for me without fish filets! My companions opt in for the Seafood(fish, crab, squid, clams, and shrimp), Shrimp, and Fatty Beef plates. At the vegetable section, I got my favorites: watercress, chrysanthemum leaves, kale, and spinach. My favorite fish balls are cuttlefish and fish roe balls. Noodles section is indeed my favorite! My loots include the ramen, spinach, pumpkin, green tea, udon, soba, rice cakes, and dough! Also, adding the pork and chives dumplings too! Noodles are freshly made on the premises and have that amazing chewy texture! I went back three times to the noodles section during our course of dinner! Don’t forget the self-serve ice cream on your way out!

This is the best shabu shabu restaurant I’ve been to and it’s all you can eat! I actually accidentally came through the back door walking around many corners and down many hallways. So, my first impression was, Spring must really want to hide itself from people. Then I thought, maybe they want to tire customers out so that we starve from our«adventure» through the never-ending maze of hallways and corners. That way, by the time we are in the restaurant and see such glorious selections of food, we will be more satisfied with the service. It’s funny to think about it now because all the staff gave me the«what the… how is that possible?» look as I walked from the back end of the restaurant to the front to meet my friends who were in the waiting area. In terms of sanitation, Spring is super clean. The display and interior design makes this place look sleek and contemporary. The staff don’t really circulate around the tables often even if there were not many customers, so there’s a bit of a wait to ask for help. There is a huge selection of sauces to mix and match, a large vegetables section, frozen foods section, noodle section, and an ice cream machine. However, meats and seafood are sold separately so it costs little extra. If you don’t know what to eat, try everything because it’s all you can eat! I tried the Dashi soup base and it was amazing. You can switch around between soup bases but I like mine simple. My go to sauce: peanut +Sha cha+ Hoi son+ scallions. Ice cream was delicious, vanilla, chocolate, or swirl. Go for the swirl, you won’t regret it.

Pursuant to Anna C., Anh N., Shonnie H., Esq., and Doctor Elsie W.‘s reviews, I came here with high expectations and most of them were met. Food: the system here is interesting. One is charged a flat rate for the broth, which comes with broth, unlimited refills of hot water/broth, unlimited vegetables, noodles, fish balls, beef balls, fish tofu, ice cream, et al. Meats were extra and I initially wanted to be strategic about it by not ordering any meats. I believed, correctly, that the vegetables, balls, and tofu would be more than enough to fill me up. The party I dined with ordered meats regardless, so I had a chance to taste some of them, too. The broth itself is not as flavorful as Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, but was passable. The sauce station had an interesting array of choices. Wish there were more dessert options, but for the price, really can’t beat it. Service: this place shined in the area of service. My cup was always filled with tea, my empty plates were taken away quickly, and waiters are generally attentive. Décor: someone decided to make minimal changes to Nori Nori, which had a great formula for a buffet. However, this place could use a much better ventilation system for steaming hot pots. I really don’t know whether this place will survive — I was here on a Wednesday evening and found it not too crowded. I bet it’s insane on weekends, though.

First off, I want to give this review full credit to the male employee named«Ha Neul» according to the bill. He served us and although he wasnt the perfect waiter, he went above and beyond my expectations of a buffet venue. Not to judge a book by its cover, but he sounded lazy at first, however it couldve been because of numerous happenings so I didnt mind. He had refilled and replaced my pot often times because it had been burnt because I forgot to stir and made sure we were at the rim with our cold water so we can soothe any heartburn from the blazing fish tofus! He even had some fun time with my daughter and got her a orange juice cup and said enjoy your meal and drink this and have a good time! I was shocked at his accommodations to a family. Not only did he have high performance for our table but for the family next to ours with the same size was also treated with utmost professionalism. ONTOTHEFOOD; for unlimited veggies, my wife thought it was just bokchoy and napa. So she wasnt fond of going. However upon arrival, we say a variety of greens, noodles, dumplings, rice cakes, and of course your balls(fish, cuttle, spicy, fried)! We had one order of meat just for the fun of it since it was our first time, but we were more than satisfied with the other amenities they had provided! They even have some sauces/dressings that other hotpot locations do not have! Total was $ 27(before tip) to feed 2 adults and 1 baby!(BUDGETINMYBOOK) In conclusion; service was a 5. Food was a 5. Price was a 5. What could possibly not make you want to come! Hands down only hotpot venue i’ll go to!

I am in love with this place for hotpot. This is not your typical all you can eat hotpot place. It is all you can eat but only vegetables, tofu, assorted fishballs, beef balls, dumplings, mushrooms and noodles. You also have to go gather and pick them yourselves. They have so many different types of fresh greens like kale, spinach, napa, taro, pumpkin, squash, and corn. The assorted fishballs included the fish roe ball(my favorite), fish cake, cuttlefish ball, fish cake with cheese, and fishballs with mixed vegetables. For the noodles they have ramen, spinach noodles, and udon. The miscellaneous ingredients included kani, chicken cilantro dumplings, pork and chives dumpling, sausage, rice cake, and Taro jelly. For soup base, I picked the pork bone broth, but the others include spicy pork, and dashi soup base. Being that my friend loves his meat at hotpot, we ordered a 6 Oz plate of fatty beef for an extra 5 dollars. Since I love my seafood, we also ordered a seafood platter for an extra 7 dollars. The seafood platter consists of about 3 shrimps, 1 crab, 1 octopus, 3 – 4 pieces of squid, and 4 slices of fish. Another plus about this place is the wide selection of sauces. They had all the basic typical hotpot sauces but also sauces like Shiso, pineapple, blueberry sauce, yuzu sauce and their spring house special sauce. This definately an affordable great spot for hotpot for vegetable lovers.

This hot pot place is very good! The venue is huge and generally clean with great buffet prices especially for lunch. The only thing that costs extra is the meat but you’ll probably only need one serving because there’s so many different noodles, dumplings, balls and veggies from the buffet line that will fill you right up. They also give you a choice of broth as a base. I got the spicy pork and it was delicious. Not too spicy but definitely satisfying and you can get more spice from the saucing station to customize your pot’s flavor(I make it more spicy). The only huge downside is the wait time. This spot is incredibly popular and they have a huge waiting room. During weekend dinners expect to wait an hour! The customer service isn’t the best either. Our waitress was very kind and accommodating but anyone not a waitress around here will promptly ignore you.

Came to Spring Shabu Shabu as a party of 5. $ 15 per person as the base price and meat cost $ 5-$ 8 depending on size from what I remember. We were seated at a table with 6 available stoves. We each got a different type of soup base. I opted for the vegetarian/mushroom soup, but I tried some of my friend’s spicy pork bone soup and that was really tasty. I definitely ate my $ 15 worth considering I am not a big meat person. They have a wide variety of vegetables, dumplings, fish balls and noodles. I probably tried one of everything just to experiment. I really liked the fish balls with masago inside, but be careful not to burn your tongue like me. My friends and I ordered a total of three plates of fatty beef. Everyone really enjoyed the beef and said it was good quality stuff. Though I probably can do without the beef(and probably opt for some seafood next time) Our waitress came around to refill our soup and water once in a while. Service was quick. The only thing I would complain about is the limited space. The tables are placed pretty tight together. Overall, it just felt a bit cramped. I’ll probably come back the next time I’m up for some shabu shabu. But if you’re a meat lover, you might not want to be hotpotting here.

Top. Notch. With all the shabu shabu/hotpot places coming up, spring has a lot of competition but can certainly hold its own. The veggies, fish cakes, tofu’s, dumplings, and noodles are the buffet part. The meats you have to pay for which isn’t too bad if you think about it, when was the last time you didn’t get enough veggies at a hotpot place? It’s a smart move by spring to use it as an excuse to up-charge. Regardless, it’s still pretty great, especially for lunch. The meats have lunch pricing but the seafood stuff does not. I personally like the spicy pork broth the best due to how«deep» it tastes but I do wish it didn’t have that herbal smell/taste. You can mix your own sauces which is part of the AYCE so that’s always nice. I’ve seen people dump sauce into their pot to give it some flavor. Not a bad idea. If you’ve never tried this place and you enjoy hotpots, I seriously recommend it.

This is now my favorite shabu shabu place in Flushing. I usually go to Little Sheep, but I always end up paying $ 40/pp there. Here, dinner is 12 bucks! And you get unlimited veggies, NOODLES(ALLKINDSOFNOODLES: ramen, real ramen, udon, green tea, pumpkin, etc), an obnoxiously large variety of sauces… and soft serve ice cream(wish they had green tea tho). AND you can get as many eggs you want! Egg in sauce, poached egg, egg everywhere. The reason why people give this place mediocre reviews is because it is NOT unlimited meat. You pay $ 5 extra for a plate of meat or $ 7 for a plate of seafood. But honestly, it’s a lot of food for $ 12. My lunch in Manhattan costs 20 bucks already. I love that you get individual pots so that nobody steals your fishballs. All that hard work of putting your meat and balls in and somebody else gets them. NAH. Not here. Our waitress was friendly and helped us take pictures! Oh, and BARLEYTEAYESSSSSSS.

AYCE shabu shabu in Queens Crossing mall for $ 11(lunch) or $ 15(dinner), plus extra for meats and weekends/holidays. Spring replaced Nori Nori, the previous AYCE sushi restaurant and I’m glad it did! The options here are plentiful and overwhelming but two things are sure(1) you’ll never leave hungry(2) your wallet will thank you. They have almost every type of vegetable, fish balls, and noodles you’ll need for a complete shabu shabu experience! They even have quality soft serve vanilla and chocolate ice cream for dessert! The soup base could be improved as I found myself using more sauce to compensate for the lack of flavor from the soup. I also add in some greens/spices into the pot from their sauce station. Their sauce station has two sides for two separate lines and they even have a house sauce for those of us who are indecisive about what to mix. Thanks, Spring!

Not a fan at all. First we arrived around 7:30 and was told there will be a half hour wait and it was actually like 40 – 50 minutes. We finally sit down and have gathered the first round of food we will like to eat from the buffet tables only to find all of our stoves turned off! It wasn’t just our table that was having this issue basically our whole section of maybe six tables had no electricity for hotpot. The waiter assured us that it was just a glitch and everything will be fixed shortly. We unfortunately waited 30 – 45 minutes before they decided it was a lost cause and instead moved us to a new table. Once at the new table I was about to sit down and realized the chair was dirty and ruined my pants. Sad. It would be nice if they cleaned everything before having guests use that area especially when it’s a restaurant where liquids are everywhere! The food was average I don’t think you can really mess up boiling veggies. You can order seafood and meats for an extra 5 $ each if I remember correctly. Know that there is a price increase for weekends! Definitely will not be returning but I do think that my experience is not the norm.

I’m honestly not a big fan of shabu shabu but I did like this place. The prices are fair for AYCE. They charge you for meat(about $ 6 – 9 around dinner time) separately, and it’s about $ 18 for everything else. I’m not sure if drinks are included. The place looks clean and the entrance is right by Mulan in Queens Crossing. Extremely close to Mimi’s, and the setup kinda looks like it — with the individual hot pots. They serve two kinds of broth: dashi(fish) and pork — with the option of making it spicy which I definitely recommend. Came here yesterday with my family. We were a group of 7 people. I left completely stuffed. So stuffed that I could barely walk back to the car. They have quite a few options for veggies at the buffet. All the greens were piled high! Yay! lol Their spinach was on steroids. The little mountain of watercress was fresh. I thought it was funny that they had kale and Swiss chard(hashtagtrendyveggies lmao). Don’t be the fool going to the buffet to eat kale tho. lol *Asian mom voice* You can eat that at home! There were lots of choices for noodles. They seem to have gone all out when giving people options. So many freaking options just for noodles? What was a foodie supposed to do?! Not try them all?! haha damn it. They not only had instant ramen. They also had fresh ramen, udon, glass noodles, soba, egg noodles and others. The noodles were displayed in «little» portions on the platters. Many options of fish balls. Quite a few platters of different rice cakes too. My aunt really liked the cheese fish ball. They also had a couple options of dumplings — chicken and pork. Sauce station has the usual stuff. They have a sink next to it — in case you are an awkward-messy-walking-potato-disaster like me lol I was sold on all the options. This is a pretty intense shabu shabu BUFFET experience. They even had the typical soft serve machine for AYCE ice cream — that’s if you are a black hole and can still senselessly stuff your face. The service was good although they were busy. Water and tea cups were refilled constantly, and additional soup was poured in the individual hot pots upon request.

Spring shabu shabu is Awesome! AYCE hot pot, yes please! Everyone has their own individual pot too! They don’t take reservations but they do have a huge waiting area which is a plus, just make sure you pay attention when they call for your party, they bark your name out a few times, if you don’t answer the call, bye bye! Once you are seated and you choose your soup base the 90 minute countdown starts, yes you have 90 minutes to eat, you will be charged extra if you go over. So I suggest you and your posse quit BS and get to business! Drinks, meats and seafood are extra, but they have quite a solid selection of choices from the buffet islands. They have different types of noodles and ramen, fish and meat balls, dumplings and all types of vegetables which makes this place a Vegan paradise! The selection of sauces is pretty expansive, you literally have buku combinations to create some real cool and uncool tasting flavors, rule of thumb adding 12 different spoons of sauce to create one dipping sauce is never a good idea. The downside to this place is the desserts. They only have one ice cream machine that churns out mediocre ice cream. This place is extremely clean compared to the other shabu places around the area. The worker’s here are real nice and service is stellar! PSA — the Men’s restroom is really small for such a large restaurant and they have only one stall inside, I’m just saying. Word of caution there is a automatic gratuity fee charged to your party of «X» or more people. I don’t remember what the minimum amount of people this gratuity rule kicks in, but you can always ask, just make sure before you fight to see who pays for the bill that you don’t tip again when they already added it. A Parking lot is located in the building and they posted signs that there is a reduced parking fee as long as you eat here, but you need to inquire how that all works. Parking is available across the street from a private municipal lot. As I said in the beginning this place is Awesome! So Good they have to say it twice, Shabu Shabu!

All you can eat Korean-run shabu shabu for an amazing price! Clean counters. Fresh, sweet produce. Great selection of fish balls, vegetables, and noodles for $ 16 per person(weekend pricing) plus free all you can eat soft serve. We arrived for a family members birthday. Four adults, two kids. Four pots. A server comes by to ask us our soup base preference. Then off we run to the buffet! You are racing against a rough time limit of 1.5−2 hours for the group.(Although I believe they let us stay for two and a half hours). I am an omnivore. I love my meat. So I was very surprised that I could fill up with so little meat. And be so satisfied with the fresh sweet corn, taro, and sweet potatoes. The shitake mushrooms were perfectly plump and I loved the array of leafy green vegetables. You can add platters of meat, seafood or fish. I definitely recommend the fatty beef. And you can bet your bottom dollar I will be back.
