So happy this place is open late and they serve the usual dim sum plates Everyday! Downside — cash only. And closest ATM is down the block.

This is one of my favorite spots! My husband and I come here very often and we always order the same thing because it’s so darn good :) –Beef pan fried noodles — Chicken Feet — Korean Style Short Ribs(no fat, extra crispy) — Malaysian Cake for dessert — Mango Smoothie with bubbles on the side

My bf and I thought we should try new things since we often just eat at the same places in Flushing. Total regret. I would give Sunway a one-star, but I’m adding a star because I understand that this place is known as a late night spot and not so much for its spectacular food. We came here on weekday night to try some dimsum and get some bubble tea. First, the honeydew bubble tea everyone raves about is absolutely too sweet. The tapioca bubbles in the bubble tea were not squishy but tasted undercooked. Also, it’s not actual honeydew, but some powder they put in. Next, came the dimsum — there were 2 items that were vegetarian — the vegetable potstickers and the crêpe. The vegetable potstickers were incredibly oily and small. The crêpe was meh. Maybe the meat stuff is better. The service was also bad(except for one of the servers). The waitress who came to take our order did not understand the menu well and told us several dim sum items(e.g. chive pockets, turnip cake) were vegetarian. I had asked her if these items were potentially vegetarian since they sometimes contain small pieces of meat and shrimp — she assured me they were vegetarian. Wrong. The other waitress helpfully told us they were not. I also asked for my bubble tea without ice and it came out with ice. We had to flag them down several times to get our check despite there were 3 of them idle and just chatting. There are so many great places in Flushing — there is no reason to come here.

Dim sum is the bomb! It’s so tasty! Their noodle soups are alao great! I would’ve give them 4-stars for their dimsums and noodle soups. But then I tried their fried rices and some wide noodle panfried that I think it’s bland. Not a fan of their fried rice. Also tried their bubble teas, which I think is missing that little«kick» to it. But yes dimsum and noodle soups are on point!

Definitely my place to go when I have no idea what to eat at night and am in the area. They open till super late which is super awesome. The food is not expensive and it is good. Nonetheless, they have dim sum 24⁄7! So if you’re craving for some dim sum in the middle of the night, this is definitely the place to be. I always get the roast park noodle soup with board noodles here because it’s just so good. Haha. The soup is not super salty, but flavorful. I’m sure there are better noodle soup elsewhere, but when it’s 2AM and you have the craving; nothing beats this: D

I have been wanting to eat here for a while, but haven’t had the chance since it is a bit far from where I live. Finally got a chance to go, and was not disappointed. First off, I love that this place serves dim sum until late late hours of the night. I got there around 11pm, and surprisingly it was pretty busy. Ordered a variety of things, everything tasted very good and fresh, better than the dim sum near me! My favorites were the rice roll stuffed with char siew and the beef balls. I also highly recommend getting one of the curry dishes, because their curry sauce is really good and you can use the sauce to dip other things in! I just wish the place was closer, but I will definitely come back again. Also price wise, it was reasonable, about $ 3 – 5 per dim sum dish.

We came here since I was craving for dim sum on a Saturday night. Ordered a bunch of stuffs and I can day only one item tasted decent From the dim sum menu, me and hubby ordered the sticky rice in lotus leaf, chicken feet, steam beef ribs, and fried chive dumpings. The sticky rice in lotus leaf didn’t have much flavor and had no filling and just way too much rice. And no aroma from the Lotus leaf what so ever on the rice. Chicken feet was just OK. The steak beef ribs was hard to chew and was made with cheap beef. The fried chive dumplings were way too greasy and doughy We also ordered the curry beef and that was pretty flavorful and decent. And also tried the rice noddle with xo sauce and that was bland and bad. Overall, not a good place. Service was horrible too

I’ve come here during the times when I’ve wanted something classic and budget-friendly to eat. I’ve liked their spam and egg and twin raisin(shredded egg and raisin) fried rice dishes. The latter is pretty large– enough for two or three folks, so I took half of that home. Their Steamed Malaysian cakes are satisfying and sweet– they come in a trio in the round wooden cases that steamed soup dumplings are also served in. They’re nothing fancy, since the cakes are spongy sweet bread– but they don’t disappoint either. The atmosphere is casual and the noise level is usually quiet. They also have engaging soccer or NBA basketball games playing on their TV, which I appreciate. Be aware that the staff members are friendly, but I could tell that some of them have limited English speaking proficiency, so showing patience will matter in a dining experience here.

Great place for Cantonese food. For the pay few years, all the Cantonese good are disappeared from Flushing. This is the only place left that we can enjoy our food without all the noise. The service is very good at price. For $ 12 per person, none of the other place can match this price now. Highly recommended for groups.

I’ve always come to this place out of convenience rather than preference. It’s one of those«let’s get anything, then head towards Sunway» type of eats. It actually has been a while since I came here sober and damn the service has seemed to diminished immensely. The waitress looked bored out of her mind and responds with just nods, we ask to take our order and she just stands there nodding. Then when she had to speak to double check our order, she spoke to us in chinese… I guess assuming any asian to stepfoot here is chinese is understandable, however even after several interactions with her(all in english) she continued to speak in chinese(it was actually kind of interesting). Poor sense of customer service, but whatever I dont expect quality in places of this status. I am always in it with the chicken fried rice with pineapple. I wanted to also try the noodle soups since it seems to be one of the cheaper entrees here as well. This particular time we also had the sesame chicken. CFR with Pineapple(10 $) — Always the same, so no disappointment and nothing new. Beef Noodle Soup(6 $) — It’s a good tummy warmer on a cold day and cleanses your pallets as you eat the other dishes. Sesame Chicken(Whooping $ 12) — Omg epic fail ordering this overpriced bokbok. I can almost guarentee the chinese takeouts at your local neighborhood tastes better than this. Not only that, but it doesnt even get served with rice?! What?! Total came out to 35 – 36 $ after tip and tax. I’d still always comeback here though, because I’ve never been upset not did my food come out like shit. So i’d recommend(probably best if your a bit tipsy, so you can miss or pass these annoying jitbits)

Been coming here for years. There aren’t many Hong Kong/Cantonese style restaurants in Flushing other than this place. This place doesn’t wow you with flavor and ambiance, but the food is pretty spot on and will satisfy any hungry belly. There are many dishes to choose from, including dim sum that’s available the entire day, which is a huge plus for me because there are times where I crave dim sum for dinner but im unable to get it due to the time of day. Some of the dishes that I recommend: — Beef Chow fun — Seafood fried rice — Seafood Pan fried noodles — Wonton Noodle soup — Roast pork and a sunnyside egg over rice. The name of their beverages here are absolutely hilarious, The Dark Angel, Sunrise Delight, The love… me…tender…I ain’t playin, I can barely keep a straight face whenever I order these drinks. This place is opened late so give it a try if you don’t know where you want to eat.

Sunway is not a place that is ever a first dining choice, it’s really a place you end up late at night. The two perks are the hours and the 24 hour dim sum, don’t go in expecting to be wowed, but in the same token it’s OK as a late night meal. The décor is OK, it is pretty clean looking and it looks sleek especially since it has been around for a while The food: Pork Siu Mai– Their Siu Mai wasn’t half bad, it’s late night and if you want some dim sum, it does the job. Rice Rolls w. Shrimp– The version here was passable, the flavor was OK but the noodle port was way too thick. Spare Ribs w. Black Bean Sauce Rice Dish– This was very average, it was basically the dim sum spare ribs thrown in a black bean sauce with peppers and onions, I would skip this.

I love it here! They have such a huge selection of food. From dim sum to rice and noodles, Sunway has everything you want in ONE place. I always try to stop by when I’m around the area for some bubble tea and dim sum. Definitely check this place out!

I like to think of Sunway less as a café /restaurant and more like a Chinese diner. While they might sport a wide range of Chinese dishes(mainly Canto) that are a step down from the stellar Flushing food scene, but is enough to satisfy most cravings. Since they’re open till 4am and after each day, they(along with Fat Ni BBQ ) have become destinations for late night meals. Like many establishments in the area, the décor is modern and somewhat hip compared to the divey, dingy stalls only a block away. For the most part, the interior is clean and the tables are spacious enough to seat groups, twosomes, and solo diners. The service isn’t the most warm, but the Canto boss and Mando serving staff are efficient and quick to serve. The sad news: the food is pretty subpar. While they have a nice, robust menu of Chino classics, a majority of them are mediocre at best. The all day/night Dim Sum especially, along with the powdery bubble tea are to be avoided as much as possible. I stick with noodle /rice dishes, light seafood dishes and will generally find something decent. If you’re among the drunken late night crowd, it’s likely all of the above will somehow be magically delicious. It is a cash only spot and the prices aren’t the cheapest, so beware of ordering a massive spread. Make sure they show you an itemized receipt and if you call ahead of time, most items are ready within 10 – 15 minutes. Split on when to come here? Late night rules over the daytime hours, guaranteed.

When I’m in Flushing, I enjoy coming here for dimsum. Sunway is a Hong Kong style café. There is plenty of seating inside and nicely spaced too. I have never had to wait long for a table. The service is good here. The manager is super nice. I am surprised to see a Chinese manager so nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is casual and ordering dimsum is so easy, you are provided with a dimsum checklist once you’re seated and you just check off everything you want and hand it to the waiter. Their exotic drinks are so colorful and taste yummy. The food is okay and inexpensive too! I have had dimsum at the restaurant at New World Mall and that place has hefty prices, the food tastes disgusting and portions are small! Sunway is also opened until 4:00AM! So it is perfect for drunkies who have the munchies. And dimsum is available ALLDAY. I don’t have to spend a lot and still get pretty full and have food leftover! The food also doesn’t take too long to come out. This place only accepts cash!

All my friends speak so highly of this place and honestly I don’t understand why. I’ve been here at least 3 – 4 times and each time was eh. I guess food and price was alright however it doesn’t seem to justify how people are giving them 4 – 5 stars, I guess that’s why people are entitled to their opinions and own taste. Anyways, I typically order the pork chops with rice, fried chicken, and salt/pepper squid. The food is better than most chinatown spots in Manhattan for late night cuisine but the amount of MSG in their food is so potent and almost intolerable. In the salt and pepper squid combo they give you this optional side dish of white salt/sugar-like powder to throw over the dish and it’s just Monosodium glutamate. Yes it enhances the flavor but I’m not really about the extra unnecessary chemical to throw over what I’m about to ingest into my body. Maybe it’s changed since then but not my top spot I would openly choose to go to.

My boyfriend and I have been in Queens a lot the past month or so running errands on the weekends for most of the day and we tend to end up here for dinner, because the food is just oh so good here and I always enjoy Hong Kong style food. We’ve never had dim sum together, so one Saturday before we ran our errands we decided to have dim sum at Sunway first. It was actually very nice and pleasant. Hong Kong Style Tea & Coffee — the perfect drink to go with a Hong Kong style brunch and food, very refreshing and enjoyable especially on a hot day. Scallion Pancakes — this is the second time I’ve seen scallion pancake as a dim sum item. The scallion pancakes had a nice crunch to it. The restaurant didn’t have the typical vinegary sauce you would see in Shanghainese restaurants, so instead the server gave us soy sauce. Steamed Beef Rice Noodle Roll — one of my favorite dim sum dishes, but the one from here didn’t taste as good as the ones I’ve had in other restaurants/bakeries. Chicken Feet — I love, love, love chicken feet during dim sum. The chicken feet here aren’t as appetizing(taste-wise) as the ones I’ve had before. There’s a slight different taste to it. Beef Tripe — cooked just right, tender, and everything on point! Rice Noodle with Fried Dough — Soft on the outside and crunchy on the inside! This went perfectly with the hoisin sauce that was given, but I wished there was peanut sauce too. Pan-fried Soy Sauce Noodles — this was the final dish we had and the noodles were extremely delicious and possibly the best pan-fried soy sauce noodles I’ve had so far. The noodles had a slight crunch to it. My boyfriend and I have been here for dinners on more than one occasion. We should definitely consider exploring different restaurants in Flushing and other parts of Queens too. I do recommend you coming to Sunway Café if you like Hong Kong style food or just craving for delicious Hong Kong style cuisine. This restaurant makes a great spot to come for late night munchies since it is opened until 4AM on most nights.

Ive been coming here/ordering delivery from this place for years already. Its one of the few places open till 4 am that delivers snack foods one might crave for late in the night. Now I just recieved my order with no receipt. One of which is an order of mozzerella sticks. Everyone knows what mozzerella sticks are. & Everyone expects cheese inside!!! My order came with 6 pieces. Each and every single one of them had no cheese inside. It’s literally deep fried bread crust. Completely hollow. I cannot express how unsatisfying this is because I really wanted cheese. So I call them back to send me a new one and that ill give this order back to them so they can see for themselves what my problem is. This guy has the nerve to say he’ll give me credit. –Are you kidding me??? I know what kind of place this is. Theyre not going to bother to remember!- Im extremely agitated at this point and he doesnt even bother to apologize about the problem or try to do anything to fix it. He wanted me to just brush it off. WTH did I just pay for then??? After much complaining on my part, he says he’ll send me back the money then because he thinks there’s a problem with ALL the mozzerella sticks. All I wanted was a new order. But if there’s a problem then it’s just like; Uhhhh, excuse you. why did you just sell me this then???

An institution for late night dining @ 39th Ave and Pearl Street, Flushing, this house has made an implicit bargain with everyone. They will stay open until 4 am and provide a broad range of Hong Kong style cuisine, if you will accept their mediocre dishes, bubble teas, and middling dim sum, all the while paying cash for the pleasure of its company. Nothing is out and out bad, but seldom is anything worth writing a review about. From soup to noodles to fried rice, you can find something to satisfy your midnight munchies, and enjoy long conversations with your mates. Service is fine most of the time, with everyone pitching in to make sure all tables are covered. Safe bet that few people there late at night are any more sober than you.
