I grew up visiting beaches on summer break as a kid, but never tried surfing. Looking back I can’t imagine why, as my family was adventurous. So I convinced my teenage daughter to join me for a surf lesson with Ellison at Folly Beach Surf Lessons last summer. I found them online.
We had a great time… They were really patient and encouraging with us. Of course my instructor drew the short end of the stick. I mànaged to get up, but tended to fall quickly each time. My daughter, on the other hand, got up on her first try and they ended up looking for more challenging waves for her!
It was a thrill and we are looking forward to our next trip at the end of this month! Will definitely call Ellison again and highly recommend Folly Beach Surf Lesdons for all ages and abilities.
