My Brother Vinny’s

I went there once and i was really impressed with the service they provided. the food was really good and bread was fresh from the owen. I will surely recommend this place and also I liked there décor the way they have tried to give the wine yards… feeling. impressive

Nice outdoor area that is cozy.
Good food. Good bread. Nice service.
Salads could use an overhaul.

This place gets one star alone for the awesome balcony, and incredible spot to sit on a warm spring or summer night and have dinner. I love the fact that you don’t need a sweater to come sit out here and eat! Plus looking down the street of old town folsom, is awesome too.
The Calamari App, and the grilled baby brie, AND (yes I said and.) the steamed Clams & Mussels are all MUSTS. YUM.
The chicken Picatta and the garlic chicken are my two favorite chicken dishes, and the Salmon Picatta and the Cioppino are my two favorite seafood dishes…
and then there is the amazing weekend prime-​rib and also the lasagna which are crazy good.
and then there is the desserts. OMG — the Tiramisu.

Simply the best Italian food in the Sacramento area. Be sure to get extra gravy!

«A table for one, please.»
«Outside table, please.» (So I can use my cell phone and call someone for some dinner conversation.)
I am seated and I dial my phone.
Friend #1 doesn’t pick up. I leave a message. «Call me.» I am pathetic and lonely.
Friend #2 also doesn’t pick up. I don’t leave a message.
I order my food and have some bread dipped in oil and vinegar and a small side salad with balsamic vinaigrette.
My friend C2 calls me while I’m eating my salad. Yay! Someone to talk to!
I finish my call and then my salad and wait for my entrée.
I call my Mom. Mom says «Wow! I was just thinking of you! And then you called!» I talked to my Mom for about 15 minutes while I was waiting for my food. Having Mom to talk to made my impending dinner less lonely.
My food arrives: eggplant parmesan with a side of creamed spinach.
I get off the phone and turn on my IM/​chat function on my phone.
The food: good, not great, but nice-​sized portions. Tasty.
The service: friendly and attentive. But I was on the phone for most of the time
I continue to IM/​chat over dinner, so I am not so alone out there on the balcony.
Poor, lonely Joz.
But at least I’m not hungry anymore, thanks to My Brother Vinny’s for filling up my tummy and for not judging me for walking in the door with only my cell phone as a dinner companion.
Pathetic, but no longer hungry…

If you want some hearty italian food in fun old Folsom– this is your place. They serve all the traditional italian dishes. I like their Sunday gravy sauce. Its thick and tasty. I also love their meatballs. Yummy!
They also have a sweet deal on Sundays– free corkage!
