This establishment has always provided good quality food in generous portions. Enjoyed the Arroz con Pollo this afternoon. Service and Ritas are good. Will return to best Mexican place in town. F

Very impressed. I am in Folsom often but had not tried Q’bole. I will be returning now for sure. Service was great from beginning to end. Chips and salsa were brought out as soon as we were seated and drink orders were taken. The Ceviche appetizer was very well done! Probably the best non-homemade I have tried. The Burrito I had was yummy and my wife’s street tacos and stuffed pepper were tasty also. Looking forward to trying more of the menu. And the beer was icy cold!

Camarones al Diablo were delicious. My wife’s dish I can’t pronounce without reading it was even better. Chips and salsa excellent, very fresh. Drinks were inventive and reliable depending on choice. Great server. Refrieds beans were the only thing that was just plain old good. Most places I judge by their frijoles, but this place excels in the more complex food. I would go back here in a second. Top shelf margarita went down a little too easy. Yum.

Can’t get enough of this amazing Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa are always good and the guacamole it’s amazing. Food is always on point, and the drinks are great. I will keep coming back to this place every time im in town. Weather was great today so we sat in the balcony.

Ehhh — this place is average. Their deck/patio that overlooks Sutter Street is probably the best thing about the restaurant(the inside was completely empty — so I’m assuming others feel the same way) The food is bleh. The chips, stale… the tacos, no flavor… the salsa, very strange ranch-type taste to it. First time here, most likely my last. Should have stayed at Sutter Street Taqueria. Carson C. They are ok restaurant. They are a bit pricey and they charge for chips and salsa refills which is wrong. I doubt I will go back here again

My family of 5 waited over 1.5 hours for a table Will update after we eat to see if it was worth it. Update…I ordered water and it never came. Waiter didn’t check on us until we were ready for the check. It was too busy and not enough staff to properly care for customers. Food was good but not worth the wait.

Service is 4* except a few of the male servers are exceptionally great. The food is nasty/dry/bland/cold, every time I go. The plus is their location on Sutter, the patio is what we go there for. Drinks are good-but again depends on who makes them. 2* bc of your quality of the food-3 because it’s an overall good experience, since they’ve got some great real estate. Taco Loco is still #1!

Limited menu filled with little kids. Adults without children should find somewhere else to eat because the food is not healthy and the noise is equally bad.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. The inside was a little empty because it was a beautiful day and most people were on the balcony outside. So we got a table instantly walking in. The inside has a bar and TV’s as well as music in the background. They brought out complimentary chips and salsa and we got a refill just right when we finished our first one(Second refills are $ 2). The customer service is great, they were patient when we couldn’t decide what we wanted. Now the food, if you’re hungry and want a lot get the Q’bole! Burrito, it’s huge and I couldn’t finish half. But if you want flavor get the fish tacos! It was amazing and tasted wonderful. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re around the area.

I sat at the bar here and was greeted by Domingo. He suggested I get the Coronarita and it did not dissapoint. Its basically a pint of Margarita with an upside down corona so while you drink it the corona fills it back up giving the illusion of a bottomless drink. I only ordered the three street tacos with diffrent meat each and my favorite was the fried carnitas. It reminds me of Lechon Kawale tacos. Which in my mind should have been done eons ago and Ive just recently tried. I will definitely be back to try all their other offerings and for more of that coronarita.

Now perfectly located overlooking Sutter St, is Qbolé, which has relocated from a couple blocks away. Sooo much better in my opinion! No longer is the restaurant uncomfortably muggy from the heat of the kitchen… Now you can feel the breeze from Sutter St throughout the restaurant. They have a pretty extensive menu that hits all the American Mexican staples: burritos, tacos, quesadillas, flautas, etc. & then some. This particular visit I had the camarones al diablos & the hubster had the chicken molé enchiladas. The camarones al diablos was DELICIOUS!!! The shrimp was fresh, cooked perfectly & the sauce that it’s cooked in(with & all the veggies & served on Mexican rice) was the perfect bowl of spicy, but not hot, goodness! They serve refried beans & tortillas of your choice(corn for me) on the side to complete all that yummy awesomeness! The hubster ate his whole meal, which is usually a good sign lol. The molé was a little more sweet than my liking, but like I said, he enjoyed them. Of course when eating at a Mexican restaurant, I have to accompany my meal with an ice cold Mexican beer. Yay for Qbolé having Negra Modela because it’s one of my favorites & makes me happy lol. The staff is very friendly, kicked back(in a good way) & makes sure your taken care of. All in all, we’re very happy with their new location(they have been there awhile now lol) & plan on returning when we feel like eating some Mexican food on Sutter St :)

Came in for the first time since I work nearby. The michelada was good to start off with. Than that’s when everything went downhill. I ordered the burrito. They bring it and it’s not even folded closed. And my sour cream and guac are in to go containers, not even in the burrito. So after putting the sour cream and guac inside my burrito and folding it together, I take a few bites to realize there are only 4 strips of meat inside the whole burrito. The owner/manager overhears me talking about it and offered to bring me more meat. I appreciated that greatly. By the time the meat comes out, the tortilla is soiled and is falling apart. But no big deal, the owner/manager did his best to fix the initial problem, right? Wrong! After eating this sloppy burrito(which the meat and initial food did taste good) my fingers and hands were super messy, than we got the bill. To my surprise I have an extra charge of meat added to my order. Not worth the argument. I paid and left but definitely won’t be back.

The one star is for the chef, whom made a very good tostada salad. Customer service is basically non existent in this establishment. Very rude waiters and seemingly unable to handle just a few tables. The restaurant was not even busy. I asked for a small cup of ranch dressing to go with my salad. It arrived after I was almost done with my salad… Along with an extra charge of $ 1.50 for the late arriving dressing. Nor was the extra charge mentioned beforehand when I ordered it. I was surprised and mentioned it to the waiter. He mumbled something and walked off. Every restaurant I’ve been to before always offers a(free!) salad dressing with their salads. While a $ 1.50 fee for salad dressing may not seem like a lot, it’s the principle of the matter. It’s unnecessary gouging of the customer. My business will be going across the hall next time where everyone seems happy and being served with courtesy and a smile.

Alright, in giving this review I must disclose my personal biases. I am Mexican and grew up in a household with a killer cook for a mother. I became accustomed to a certain type of flavor and standard for Mexican food and will judge harshly based on that. The food at Q’bole was pretty good. I had the Playa Plate, their«Mentirita» drink(which was delicious), and had their churros for dessert. All in all, a solid 4 star rating, my only disappointments were the Mexican rice and churros. The rice was a little stale and I don’t think the churros were made in-house. However, the ambiance is nice and very pretty! I will definitely be giving this place another chance and trying some of their other plates. Come check it out!

I sat down in a super comfortable chair. The atmosphere was friendly, the music was quiet enough to hear the person across the table from me :) We received our waters immediately. Fresh chips & salsa, delicious guacamole(extra$) — we even got refills on chips(I am big on this since we get like 3 – 4 refills at home at our fav Mexican restaurant). Margaritas best I have EVERHAD! — The top shelf margarita. I can’t wait to have another. Vegetarian burrito.((Vegetarian Burrito A giant flour tortilla filled with sautéed seasonal vegetables, black beans, cilantro rice, cheese, sauce and topped with lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and Mexican cheese.)) No sour cream or cheese requested and they got it right!!! Awesome!!! :) I’ve been to Mexican and pizza and Italian restaurants where they still add dairy and I cannot eat my food. Friends meal she was super happy with it too! Chips and salsa were delicious! As well as the guacamole! No complaints whatsoever! Will come back again when I visit Sacramento California again! I would fly down for a margarita and the burrito!

Q’Bole is sub par for grub, that’s why I give it only two stars. However, the ambiance and service is very good. The huge tv at the bar is always on with your favorite game. The chips and salsa are alone worth a stop in, and the deck over looking Sutter Street is a treat that everyone should enjoy. You can definitely find something on the menu just don’t be surprised when it’s not as good as you thought. If you are on the deck on a sunny day the food won’t really matter anyways. The people that run the place are always awesome which creates a fun and inviting atmosphere. They also have really cool signature margaritas too… I will definitely be back to kick it.

Had the vegetarian burrito there last night and it was delicious. Most of the time, places make vegetarian entrees as an afterthought but this was different. And the atmosphere was good and the view was nice. Highly recommended.

We were craving Mexican food, and had never tried Q’Bole. Incredibly nice staff, excellent fresh and creative cocktails, delicious food, and they are VERY accommodating to special requests. All of the staff were very friendly and fun. They clearly enjoy working there, with each other, and they really want to please their patrons. You could tell that many regulars were there; it is a VERY good sign when people come back to your restaurant again and again! It said a lot about this restaurant and how people are treated there. Many customers even bear hugged some of the employees as they arrived, they obviously have become friends with them. We loved the very friendly atmosphere and staff. We thoroughly enjoyed their margaritas, I had the house margarita — it was very, very good, and my husband enjoyed the Cadillac margarita very much. Later I also had one of their Sangrias — excelente! Their salsa and chips were good, the salsa is very fresh and they were always quick to refill both of them. Our server had a lot of tables to manage, including two very large ones, and he did so very efficiently, and with a huge smile on his face. He always had time to answer questions, and he was very helpful with making menu selections. He was also extremely personable, and entertaining. I had the cheese enchiladas — YUM! Our server had recommended the corn tamale as one of the(three) side dishes — it was DIVINE. My husband enjoyed the chicken fajitas. The staff were so very attentive; they noticed my husband had run out of flour tortillas, and they quickly brought more — at no extra charge(most places we have been to charge you for more). We are agreed — this is OUR Mexican restaurant of choice.(We have tried so many — Q’Bole really stands out above the other Mexican restaurants that we have patronized!) There are many dishes to choose from, so many interesting and creative cocktails, and they do not just offer your«standard» Mexican menu. We LOVED it. Highly recommend!

I wasn’t a fan of the former location, decided to give the new one a try. I love this location and interior/atmosphere. That’s about all this establishment has to offer though. I should have taken it as a for warning when an employee showed up with two large bags of El Pollo Loco Mexican food, haha! Anyway, I came in for lunch on Taco Tuesday — no taco specials?! Weird. I ordered the three fish tacos with cilantro rice plate($ 9.95), which were decent. The BF ordered the Pio Pio salad($ 8.95), he said it was terrible. The chips and salsa and beer were great! I’d come back just for that. The customer service was friendly.

This place is pretty fun, the food is great, the location is centralized and easy to get to. I’ve been to their old location a couple of times, but I’ve been to their new location a lot more… This place is definitely a great get together for lunches with co-workers, clients and even when trying to impress other guests. Their wide range of food, that’s made fresh to order, greatly priced lunch specials and very friendly and accommodating staff. The outside seating is pretty nice as well. With the move to old Folsom, there’s definitely a lot of nice and relaxing views. If you’ve never been, then go check it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!

Sorry — but Qbole just doesn’t do it for me. Ate there twice at their old location and decided I’d never return. Last night, we decided to try it again at their new location on Sutter Street. Although we loved sitting out on the patio overlooking the street and shops, the food(once again) was sub-par. The enchilada sauce was thin and had no flavor. The carnitas was moist, but again… no flavor. Their chili rellano is baked(healthier!) and was fairly good, but the wet burrito simply had the thin flavorless enchilada sauce pored over it. ZZZzzzz! The salsa was OK — and I will say I enjoyed the house Margarita(but I had to ask them to sweeten it up to my liking). Overall, I’d say their food lacks flavor, so don’t waste your dinero, and go eat at Casa Ramos!

We just finished a long hot mountain bike ride up in El Dorado Hills, and were dying for a couple of Sierra Nevadas’ and some Mexican food. Drove around downtown and found this place by chance. Great location in old town Folsom. Grab a seat on the patio over looking the street if you can! Food was great, and the service was excellent!

If it wasn’t for the mrs I probably wouldn’t eat a lot of Mexican food, save for my obsession for chorizo breakfast burrito’s. After a evening at Lockdown Brewing Co. and the Folsom Hotel Saloon we were in desperate need of food. I had visited Q’Bole years ago at the old location and it wasn’t memorable. This visit was. It was packed but we were seated quickly and the chips and salsa were delivered. The salsa had a little heat and nice smokiness. My entrée was Tacos Dorados. These babies are dangerous. Shredded Beef and potato fried up in a taco topped with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and these amazingly tasty pickled red onions. I ended up moving the lettuce, tomato and sour cream over to the refried beans and Spanish rice and mixed that up to make a tasty little slop. That left me with a shredded beef, potato and pickled onion fried taco. Delicious!!!

Qbole is by far the best Mexican food experience in Folsom. We have always had great service here but we’ve been regulars for about 8 years so we get a little spoiled. The atmosphere — awesome décor will have you feeling like you are in a nice restaurant south of the border. But the outside patio is the real winner. Overlooking Sutter Street, it’s a cozy and fun place to hang out… all day. Be careful! The food — chips and salsa are always on point. The salsa is fresh and delicious. If you’re here for drinks and a small bite, try the ceviche, street tacos or the fajita quesadillas. Seriously amazing and heavily addictive. For dinner, hands down, the fajitas are where it’s at! The drinks — three words: Cilantro Jalapeño Margarita. But you can’t go wrong with anything here — try the michelada sometime too. ;) Overall, this place just wins best place to dine in Folsom. Get some!

I visited Q’bole and sat on the outdoor balcony, with a front row seat overlooking the street below. I was extremely pleased with the overall experience! There were smaller, high top tables with umbrellas(lots of shade) and regular low tables without the umbrellas. The deck was very large and although there were lots of people, it wasn’t too crowded where you were elbow to elbow with anyone else. I was there during happy hour, so the margaritas were $ 4 each and mixed very strong(which made me particularly happy!) They served endless salsa and chips, which never ran out before being replenished. The salsa was extremely flavorful and not too spicy, but there were hot sauces on the table as well. I shared a plate of nachos among friends and it was on the smaller side, but certainly not light on flavor.(Side note: If someone can please tell me what the pink vegetables are that are served on just about everything in this restaurant, I really am interested to know this. The flavor was delicious and I’d never seen them before.) The service was excellent, I never had an empty glass or ran out of salsa all night. The noise level was surprisingly low, considering the deck was full and there were a lot of younger kids there as well(so very family friendly). My overall impression is I enjoyed this experience both from a dining perspective and a place to get together for a drink and socialize. I’ll definitely be returning!

Chips and salsa were served right away. Salsa is spicy with a smoky flavor and tasted fresh. When we were almost done with the chips and salsa they brought more. without us having to ask. They did the same think with my husband’s soda We appreciate prompt and intuitive service. Our server was attentive and checked back regularly. I ordered the top shelf margarita made with Milagro and it was a respectable drink for the price. Tthe veggie burrito was made with rice, black beans, carrots, musrooms, onions, peppers and spinich. Shredded lettuce. and pico de gallo were served on the side. My only complaint was that it was covered in red sauce which made the tortilla a little doughy and soggy. My hubby ordered 3 chicken tacos served with rice and beans. Inside the tacos were shredded chicken and mashed potatoes. I never heard of mashed potatoes in tacos but my husband said it was good. He did say that the tacos were a little light on meat but tasted good. The portions were large and the meals were served hot. Overall a good experience.

FINALLY! A great sit-down mexican restaurant in Folsom! I moved here a year ago, and have tried all the«highest rated» mexican restaurants in the area, only to be served bland, tasteless, portionless and Americanized Mexican food. I never went to Q’bole at their old location, but their new location is spot on. We went on a Friday night, and I knew the packed restaurant was a good sign. Their Margaritas are spot on! They have a list of about 15 different types, and I had a top shelf(actually two) for $ 8, very reasonably priced. These reminded me of the Margaritas at my favorite restaurant in Cabo. Not overly sweet, I can taste the quality tequila, with fresh squeezed lime juice and agave nectar. The wife had the shrimp tacos, and I had the fish tacos(Snapper). The fish was lightly battered, seasoned well, but I thought the fish portion was a little lacking. Her shrimp was awesome — not overly cooked or rubbery. The shrimp also had the same batter as the fish. The tacos were served in a single soft corn tortilla — I prefer a double tortilla to keep them held up. The service was great! Jorge was our server, and very friendly, funny, and attentive. I have no complaints here. He actually left one margarita off our bill, and I needed to remind him I had 2 and was undercharged. Want good Mexican in Folsom? Try Q’bole.
