I really don’t want to give this place a bad review but my last two experiences there have been a bit odd. I used to frequent this place more often but I had to cut back because this place is expensive. Well apparently the owner noticed because my first time back he mentioned how he hadn’t seen me in a while. At first I thought it was nice that he was being so personable but then he started to ask a bunch of questions about why I hadn’t been there and if there was another place in the area that I was going to instead. It was just weird. But not weird enough for me to not return. Well the other day I was craving sushi, so I decided to order takeout and not eat lunch at the restaurant. After i paid for my bill and as I was walking out the door I heard the owner ask the waitress/hostess if I left a tip. That pissed me off! You can at least wait for me to walk out the door before you ask such a rude question. I can’t justify going back and giving them my business again. Total bummer because I really thought the owner was a nice guy and the sushi chef was pretty cool too. Now I have to find another sushi place around here which isn’t easy to do.

I ordered for takeout. Doesn’t seen they put the sushi on ice what waiting for you to pick it up. I arrived right when they told I’d be ready so no big deal. The fish was all fresh, generous portions. The tuna wasn’t the best cut, but not bad. The Teriyaki Kids«Happy Meal» was a bit disappointing. $ 8, but a good portion. The problems are that the sauce is too spicy for kids, and the chicken isn’t white meat(no upgrade available). I’m going to try it again. I may up to 5-stars, if it grows on me.

This place was virtually empty, and I received the WORST service. I ordered two rolls, and it took 35 minutes, I was hoping the rolls would at least taste good and they were not good. I am super disappointed, and it wasn’t cheap to boot. Sad panda. :(

Tried some sushi rolls for a weekday lunch — rolls were good. The wait time was horrendous, it almost took 40 mins between placing and arrival of order. They didn’t have any lunch deals or anything like that — all the rolls were regular priced. Price you pay is not worth the experience or ambience

It was ok sashimi but apparently this place thinks they are high style. For a hole in the wall place I think it’s unethical to charge above $ 30 for 12piece sashimi. They don’t have certain fishes that I love and I just don’t think that a simple tuna or salmon is worth 2.50 a piece. Ridiculous for the ambience, seating, and location! Your kidding yourself if you think you are priced fair or within the market… Don’t go here for sashimi until they learn to price it on there menu and to offer it as a meal, not an appetizer that is 2.50 a piece… Quality of fish was good, service was good. Sushi chef is talented… Shame I’m not going back Just felt bent over for what I ordered. Not going back based on principle.

We’ve lived in the Sacramento area for over 5 years and had yet to find a sushi restaurant to call«home.» We stumbled in here one day not expecting much and were pleasantly surprised by how truly amazing this place is. Wing and Dakota keep excellent company while dining at the bar. We ask Dakota to make us whatever he wants and he never disappoints. I love that you taste the sushi and not the sauce. They’re not big on sauce here which wins them major brownie points in my book… more in line with authentic sushi. Speaking of authentic, they serve REAL wasabi, not the powdery paste. The only place we’ve ever had real wasabi is at The Kitchen in Sacramento. The taste, the presentation, the freshness… it’s all there! Try this place out TODAY if you have not been. Happy Hour every day 5 – 650% off rolls, beer and sake. I saw they have unlimited sushi options too, but unsure of the details for that. Their website is nice as well and they offer free delivery if you are within 5 miles! Thank you Wing for opening the best sushi restaurant in Folsom and surrounding! We even prefer Suishin over Kru and that speaks volumes. We feel like fools missing out on this place all these years.

Wow! So my friend suggested this place in Folsom and it was kinda tucked away by the Winco on Blue Ravine… All I can say is our sushi chef Dakota was amazing! I had the rainbow roll and he even added some tempura crunch on top w sriracha sauce! Just putting up this review makes me wish I had ordered a togo:) good job! I will be back

Best sushi anywhere! Guaranteed! Wing has the freshest sushi anywhere! Wing and his staff make eating at Suishin more like eating at a friends house. The atmosphere and service is exceptional! I have been going to Suishin for many years since 2006 and I can tell you, not once have I been disappointed. If you are looking for the freshest around, look no further than Suishin Sushi. They are a little off the beaten path, in a small strip mall off of Blue Ravine in Folsom, but definitely worth looking for!!!

We frequent this sushi bar about once per week and think the sushi is great. Our favorite is the Flying Kamakazy. Service is good and atmosphere is casual. Would recommend to our friends.

This is consistently the best sushi in Folsom. I don’t know why I try other places. There is decent saki menu and a great selection of fish. In addition to what is on the menu I was told they had Toro and live scallop, both of which I tried and was astounded by. Between the food and the service I will be a life long customer.

Found this place on a Saturday for lunch. We sat at the bar and had the all you can eat lunch special. I was really impressed by the food. The grilled squid was a great way to start the meal and was absolutely amazing. We had several long rolls that were great pairing of flavors. The sauce used was light and complimented the roll rather than overpowering it. Very very good. We also had two of the handrolls. Normally, I am not a fan of handrolls. Usually, at other places I have had them, the first few bites are okay. But here, the flavor was good from start to finish. The sushi chef was attentive and friendly. The service in general was good. We will be back for sure.

It’s a slightly hidden place right next to Winco but absolutely delicious! The sushi tastes amazing and the bento boxes are a good size. The service is great and the oysters here are amazing! They have a spicy hint of flavor(that’s not too overpowering) and a delicious seafood taste. They also have happy hour(best time to go since the rolls are a bit pricey). I will be coming here again, and I definitely recommend this place!

Great food, price was fair for the sizes of the rolls. The ingredients are top quality and the service is great. I ordered over the phone for take out and traffic was pretty bad as I hit middle school and then high school traffic on a Friday afternoon and 2 people almost killed me on the way there. So they were closed but they waited and I was so glad they did! Place is pretty small and hidden but I’m going to assume gets pretty busy at dinner. I had the blue ravine roll, miso soup and green salad, came out to 25 dollars and the roll being 20. But it was pretty freaking huge so I didn’t have a problem paying for that. Other places I’ve gone to I’ll pay 5 for a roll but it’s like half size and I have to order like 6 to even make a dent. Will come back and definitely recommend. I’ll upload some pictures so you guys can see what the take out looks like and the size of the roll.

My husband & I brought a friend here on the advice of another restaurant owner. We were all really impressed with the quality of the seafood, and the ingredients overall. The garlic edamame were delicious! We ordered several rolls and all shared. Personally I liked the fact that the rolls were not so huge that I couldn’t eat it in one reasonable bite, and the balance between seafood, the other star ingredients and the rice was just right. Other places may have«bigger» rolls, but usually they are all rice. We prefer to fore-go super-sizing everything for a quality, delicious bite, and the rolls at Suishin really did that for us. Really enjoyed the«Deep-fried» roll too. They kept on top of things as we kept ordering rolls, even though they had a Friday night crowd going. We were pleased with the service, the friendliness of the staff, and the quality of the food. We will be back!

My boyfriend and I only ordered one roll each because they’re $ 15 – 18 a piece. We thought they’d be bigger for that but they were normal sized rolls. The rolls were good and the staff was nice but I won’t be coming back. For two rolls, an order of edamame, and a soda it was about $ 50. At sushi Mon I can get four rolls plus a beer and free edamame for $ 38 at a better quality in my opinion. In No way am I bashing this place — they have good sushi if you’re willing to spend way more money. I got the blue ravine which was $ 18 and it was good. The edamame were $ 5 I think and they were super hot when they came out. My boyfriends roll was simple and it was $ 15. I wouldn’t come back here only because of the prices. It was 6:30 on a Friday night and there was one other family in there and they had one sushi chef. Our rolls took about 20 minutes and the other family had already finished their meal.

Seriously, sushi lovers, you need to add Suishin Sushi to your list of regular hot spots! I consider myself somewhat of a sushi aficionado and haven’t found too many spots around the Sacramento area that knock my socks off. My socks were officially knocked after eating here! I was looking for a new spot to try in the Folsom area and, of course, used my handy Unilocal app in my search. My boyfriend and I came to this hidden gem on a Tuesday night and sat at the bar. We were bother super impressed! The sushi chef, Dakota, was friendly, knowledgable and passionate about sushi things! He added another level of greatness to our already great experience! We started with seared tuna, bbq tuna and oyster shooters-all amazing and super fresh! Next, we special ordered a cucumber wrapped roll and asked Dakota to give us an «off menu» roll! Holy deliciousness… Fresh sashimi, mango, eel and other yummies! To wrap this up, you must come here if you’re looking for ah-mazing sushi! In addition, our dinner was filled with a lot of laughs and great conversation! Dakota, the sushi chef, works every day along with the owner. Honestly, the entire staff is wonderful! Come, just come! :)

Tasty sushi The rolls I have tried have been pretty good. Looks like the 911 is a standard roll across sushi shops which is cool because it is one of my favorites. The Fire Bomb and Blue Ravine are two other really good ones. I would probably go 4 stars on the sushi. I went 3 stars on the service. The service was polite and friendly and the rolls came out in a reasonable time but getting cashed out is an ordeal. Not sure what the deal is maybe they are hoping you will order more, but the times I have been here it takes a while to get from the last empty plate to getting the check and getting out. This is a problem for a lunch time type stop. Overall the sushi is great and the place is worth stopping by.

I am no way a sushi aficionado but I do know fresh fish from not-so-fresh fish. Ready? The fish was fresh. I guessed it would be when we first walked in and noticed that the place did not smell like fish. I’m a raw kinda guy and since my wife likes most of her food cooked, I took this lunch time opportunity to grab some fresh fare — a rare opportunity. Not a cheap meal but not over the top pricey either. I figure that you get what you pay for when it comes to sushi and fresh ingredients. I ordered the 7 different piece nigiri sushi(yellowtail and salmon) and the Spicy Tuna Roll. Absolutely no complaints.
