I am a teacher and needed a specific fabric which I saw on line. When I asked the employee for it by the Spanish name«Loteria» and then also said it to her in English as the«Spanish Bingo» she simply responded«I don’t speak Spanish» and turned away. I only said one word in Spanish. I proceeded to find it on my cell phone and showed it to another employee who walked me down an aisle and said, It’s somewhere down this aisle.” She then explained she has other customers that needed her help and there are only two employees in the entire store. I informed her that I am the customer and I do not know about their shortage. Regardless od their excuses, this is not good customer service. It might be close to discrimination and just plain old rude. It’s also not the first time something like this has happened here. I’ve given ample opportunities l, but this was the last straw. I will not shop here and suggest you shop somewhere else too.

Three stars goes out to the employees. Staff are always cool and helpful. They hook it up with discount coupons to save money. They are always helpful and gives great advice when needed. But sadly other than that this store sucks. Poor variety of fabric choices. Always a lack on inventory. And be prepared to wait in line for checkout. There is always only one cashier even at peak hours. We only come here because its the closest fabric store near home. Ontario location is better.

I usually only come here when I need something ASAP or need something I can’t find at Michael’s. Every. Single. Time I come here, there are one or two staff max. Last night I waited 20 minutes in the fabric line waiting to get HALF A YARD of sequins. Then I waited another 20 minutes in the check out line. Seriously there weren’t even 10 people shopping in the store! This killed my free time to run errands between work and my kid’s dance class. Super frustrating. If I didn’t need supplies to make something immediately, I would have walked out early on. And the thing is, it’s ALWAYS like this. It was just super annoying this time because I was pressed for time. I took this issue up with the checker who was sweet and apologetic. I was encouraged to complain to management as staff have reportedly been asking management for additional help which they refuse to give.(Sounds like my employer.) Listen up management– you must not want to stay in business very long!!! I will be sticking to Michael’s and the Joanne’s at Ontario Mills.

There was one person cashiering with a line of 21 people. I understand people call out or get sick but where is the support and team work when its needed the most. STOREMANAGERANDREGIONALMANAGERWHYWERENTYOUTHEREFORYOURTEAM? By the way, Gina was the cashier, she was friendly and tried her best to help everyone. Your lucky to have her.

My daughter in law and I visted this store two weeks ago on a Sunday. We waited one and half hours to get some fabric. We would have left but we work all week and would be out of town. I was making my grandson costume… I tried to get someone to help us with no avail. The Manger Debbie was the worst. I called to vent my frustration with corporate and was told I would get a call back within three business days. Guess what… Still waiting for that call.

Seriously only 2 employees working the entire store on a Sunday. One cutting and one on the register. The stuff I was buying was not for me so I had to wait, otherwise I would have left. Another employee who was, I guess off the clock, kept talking to the 1 person cutting and was distracting them. A lot of people just left.

Spent ten minutes carefully picking an item with the least beat-up paper, had to hunt all over the store for a clerk to check us out, and when she finally came up to the front, she immediately started fanning herself vigorously with our item! By the time she was done, it had huge wrinkles all over it. In shock, we ended up paying for it anyway, but now are going to have to return it and buy another one. Not at this location, though.

I will not return to this Jo-Ann’s. My friend and I wasted so much time waiting for the 2 employees who were working to figure out what they needed to do to actually work. The place wasn’t packed but there were quite a few people in the store. Every customer in there was bound up and waiting on the fabric cutter… then once that line slowly filtered through, the line for the single cashier was ridiculous. Both employees seemed to need to work as a team and kept interrupting each other or pulling the other one away for a variety of reasons. Either more people need to be put on the schedule or someone who knows what they are doing needs to be put on the skeleton crew.

Seriously under staffed and can’t check out without waiting in line to price your fabric even if you are buying the total balance. Then stand in line again while the only checker leaves for break so the person cutting fabric goes to front with a long line of impatient customers. Employees were polite not fair to them. Will not return to this location.

I like this location. It is always clean and in order. Prices can be a bit high but if you keep your eye out for coupons you can get some good deals. Employees seem to be friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are clean and parking is decent …

This Location is much smaller than others, but I’m happy to have one near by. The staff is great at accepting coupons without a haggle more than I can say for other locations.

The customer service sucks! Not attentive to the customers at all. You take a ticket to get your fabric cut. One associate spent 15 minutes on one customer while the other associate didn’t even acknowledge the 15+ other customers waiting for service.

My wife drove to this location to buy a cricut, the employees were to busy standing around people watching to help her so she left. Be more attentive to your customers. Hobby lobby was cheaper anyways, this place lost a 320 dollar deal.

The JoAnn’s at Sierra Lakes finally opened! It’s a little difficult to find. It’s located just East of Costco and West of Office Max, Petco, and Lowes. The store is *very* small. I don’t know why they didn’t purchase/rent the suite next to it. Being brand new, the store looks and smells brand new. I can’t offer a verdict on the selection. I suppose it depends on what you’re looking for. I crochet and the yarn selection was adequate… I got what I needed. I went on a Tuesday night and the store was near empty. The cashier was covering all needs at the front of the store and she was real speedy and friendly. Tatted up girl. Didn’t get her name. Mmm…that’s all I have to say. It’s open… YAY!!!
