Theyve gotten really chintzy with the amount of meat they put on their salads and kebabs. There can’t be more than more than 2 ounces. Very disappointing. They just lost a customer.

Good real Greek food. I had the dinner plate special which gives you a choice of appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 sides, and pita, plus a medium drink. I thought it was a great value and I’d order it again. With all the choices offered, you could have a different meal each time you ordered. Their lemon soup is outstanding, and this coming from a girl who’s half Greek. Save room for their baklava!

If I want a falafel I want a falafel — not garbanzo beans with a southwest twist. Thanks, but when I want southwest food fast I’ll go to Chipotle. Whomever at Daphne’s corporate came up with this idea should be shown the door. Not the same as it was two years ago at all. I suppose even if they made a falafel as they used to it would still be awful as each time I’ve tried them here over the last year they’ve been fried to the point they were burned. Up next we will see Italian places attempt to be different by spicing it up with southwest flair. Lame.

Food is always fresh and served with freshly warmed pita bread and dipping sauce. We had the California Salad with grilled chicken and the Greek Salad with grilled salmon. Both were expertly prepared and flavorful. This is real food not fast food. Enjoy.

I have always liked the food, however I stopped eating at this location because not only did the prices go up, but the portions went way down. Decided to try it again tonight. My hubby and I are both non meat eaters, so we both got the med veggie plate. Don’t know if the cook is the owner(joke), but with the portions he gave us you would have thought so. When paying 9.00 per meal I expect more, not a little scoop of this and that and 4 very mini falafels. Too bad. This is of course at the Foothill Ranch food court.

Excellent service and the manager Brendan was great helping me all the time when in need of extras! It felt like a full service Restraunt. The food is fabulous and I will be coming back to this location with my family.

I never used to be a huge fan of Daphne’s, but recently this particular Daphne’s has been fantastic! They have a new manager, Anthony, who is incredibly nice and helpful. He makes the atmosphere so wonderful! I love this place, and am pleasantly surprised at how good it is every time I eat here.

The last couple times I’ve eaten here it has bummed me out. I’m a gyro fiend and this place has given me cold meat that is too thickly slice and devoid of that delectable charred texture I’ve come to expect from a good Mediterranean restaurant. I used to think Daphne’s was the best but this location is leading me towards places like luna grill. Also one time I got the very end of the gyro kabob in cylindrical blobs of meat. It was kind of disgusting. And I wasn’t even asked if that would be acceptable or offered any alternatives.

Chicken Shwarma!!! To Die For… up until about a few back… I had eaten at this location Daphnes as a sorta last resort kinda place. The workers were always distracted and it didnt feel like they cleaned the place that well. It looks like new management has taken over and the place seems like it is a well working machine now. The waits arent as long, the service is punctual and the place actaully looks and feels like it is always clean. The store manager takes your order and he seems very on top of his staff. Trust me, this is important because im sure this carry’s over into ALL aspects of the restuarant… i.e. fresh food, cleanlyness… etc. etc.

Very empty due to time of day… between lunch and dinner. Staff was limited, but cordial. Order was taken and information was given, but staff seemed distracted and not involved. Had a gyro with my son, which was delicious. I wish we could have had more dressing to moisten the gyro. However, it was still a fair deal… We got a side of fire feta, but they did not ask the portion size, so we got a little serving. I really like the food at Daphne’s, and it is usually consistent from location to location. I like the new twists to the gyro… with the chunk cucumbers and tomatoes. The franchise does a good job of consistency. Loud music played in the background. Luckily, I liked the music… but I can imagine older people may not care for loud pop or rock… and makes it a little hard to talk. It was more a volume for a young, hip clothing store. We found out that they have a program where if you spend $ 100, you get a $ 5 credit. It adds up quick if you buy family meals… as our 2 gyros, plus a small fire feta and 1 drink ran $ 18. You get a $ 5 for your birthday, to credit your meal at Daphne’s. It’s worth it to sign up for that Daphne point system.

Received a message from the store manager regarding the confusion on their hours posted between Unilocal and their website offering a discounted meal. I replied a few times to thank them with no reply for over a month. Back to my original conclusion, this location obviously has no interest in profits being next to that huge theater. I know a deli in Santa Ana(@Tommy Pastrami) that would love being in that food court

Terrible. The worst Mediterranean restaurant I have ever been to. The staff had terrible customer service and jose wasnt a pleasant person to deal with either. I got the steak pita and they didnt wrap it up correctly and when I got to my car it unraveled and spilled all over my car. Feta everywhere. The meat was fatty. Every single piece felt like I was chewing gum. Never going there again I hate this place. STAYAWAY. Waste of money!

Took them 20 minutes to get my food. Location is under staffed. The management is lacking here and needs to step it up. Was very dissapointed with how long it took me to get my food compared to the others I was with at the food court.

Daphne’s menu is so confusing! Why did they change it? I never know what to order anymore. A ‘classic greek salad’ is an ordinary chicken salad. I keep going back to Daphne’s, I don’t know why I do, I am never happy with something, either the order is wrong, the service crappy or the food sub-par. I want to like the food, but something always gets in the way. Today the guy at the front desk was rude and got my order wrong. There were 6 tables with dirty dishes on them and the restaurant was empty! Not exactly a clean place with nice service anymore.

This location has a good gyro pita plate that’s perfect for a quick lunch or light dinner. I came in on a weekday afternoon and the restaurant was empty, with most of the patrons eating outside in the large communal dining area. The dining room was very nice and brightly lit, although there seemed to be little attention given to the upkeep. I wasn’t initially greeted and stood up front reading the menu for a while. There was a bit of horsing around going on behind the line, and I was sort of shocked at the language being used. Curse words are still curse words, even if they’re spoken in Spanish… The cashier then noticed my standing by the register and slowly walked up to help me. I was greeted with a kind yet rhetorical phrase and he blatantly made little eye contact, looking out the window and occasionally over his shoulder while speaking. It was as if he was talking to someone on a Bluetooth device and I couldn’t tell if he was paying any attention… After I asked if he was ready I posed a few questions about their gyro meat and then proceeded to order. The cashier then asked if I was eating in or taking it to go and everything after that seemed to change for the better. When I said I was eating in he all of a sudden became very attentive and overly eager to please… I must have had ‘Yelp’ written on my forehead after he decided to look at me. I got the the classic pita with gyro meat and it came with tomatoes, lettuce, red onions and an extra side of Greek dressing. It was very tasty and surprisingly quite filling; the perfect portion served up fast and fresh. Pros: The Classic Gyro Pita presentation and flavor. Cons: The apathetic and halfhearted approach to patrons. Overall, the experience at Daphne’s in Foothill Ranch was good and I’ll be back again. The attitude exhibited from the staff was subpar but the service and food was quite good.

The service here is good and consistent. Everything definitely changed when the founders sold. Quality and portion are not quite as good as they used to be, but still good. I had a combo plate gyros and chicken kabob with salad and fries. The kabob was especially tender and tasty. I would like more tzaziki without having to ask. The pita is a bit chewy. Be nice if it was baked in house.

It’s a chain — I don’t think you should expect more. For some reason, I feel like this Daphne’s has smaller portions, but that just might be in my head. Other than that, it tastes like all the other Daphne’s

I had the Salmon plate. Fish was dry, veggies were undercooked and the tabouli wasn’t prepped well. This isn’t a question of my personal standards but, management needs to evaluate the business and its standards. This place is understaffed, 3-man crew is stressed and quality of food is low. Went here on a Saturday for lunch. Some customers were pissed and I should have listened but I was hungry at the time. I meant no pun, but like I mentioned… Attention Management!

This is my local Daphne’s and I’ve been going here for years. I’m shocked to see how low this location is rated! The staff has always been nice and the place is clean and the food is good(as can be expected for mid-level chain restaurant food). The gyro pita with fries and salad is my standard order, but I’ve tried several plates over the years and never been disappointed. I see some other reviews from people who didn’t like their meal, and if I got food like some of what is described, I would not be happy either, but happily I have not had that experience.
