The steak kabob is delicious, but they don’t give you enough rice. Most other Persian /Mediterranean restaurant give you more rice. The ground beef kabob was rather bland.

Aubrey is awesome! Every time I come here, no matter what I order she always gets it spot on. The chicken kabob and basmati rice is so bomb. No complaints, absolutely none. The dining area is always clean, food is always good, lots of parking and super quick service! I love this place!

The food was decent. There’s a lot of choices for Mediterranean foods in the area. It’s not amazing nor is it bad, but there’s better out there. This place isn’t very crowded and it’s conveniently located to Baja Fresh and Sprouts.

I used to like this place but my last visit(today) left me pretty disappointed and I won’t be returning. They raised the price on the lunch special but made the portion smaller. This would be fine, I get that you need to survive. But the chicken was over cooked and the pita was hard. Two lunch specials of over cooked chicken and a side of hummus put me out $ 22. Not good and not worth the price.

I usually stop by here whenever I get a chance cause the food really is good. The beef and chicken kabobs are really tender and flavorful, and the rice is always delicious. The place is kinda small and not very warm or welcoming. The employees legit do not care about the customers, the customer service is very poor and obviously a last resort for the their priorities. The only real positive is the food, but the price is soooo expensive for what you’re paying for. You can get the same thing cheaper at other sit down Persian restaurants with actual service and free bread. My advice for the owner, who also is not very friendly, is that you change your mindset regarding your employees and how you treat your customers. It’s a shame to have such awful service for food that’s really good, but so pricey.

Expensive. Service was slow. Better order ahead because those orders have priority over those dining in. Not recommended.

The best ground beef kebab I have had in recent years. Growing up Persian American I have eaten many kebabs in my time, but none so tender, juicy and delicious. In comparison the kebab’s I’ve had from Bahar and other local restaurants are dry and all together unappetizing. The prices as a tad bit high but the food is absolutely worth every single penny. Plus, the salad dressing is something to write home about — the best!

Nothing fancy but very good food cooked over hot coals with great rice and this cucumber dressing I can just drink. Super value!

Love this place for a light and healthy meal. I usually get the fish kebab. Never actually stayed to eat since it’s right by my house. The atmosphere is very casual. Good place to grab a yummy bite.

It didn’t suck, but it wasn’t really good. Mediocre at best. I ordered a low carb Chicken and low carb steak kabob plate for my wife and I. Talk about throwing a wrench in my low carb diet plan, they put a half a pita on each of the plates. The chicken was prepared nicely. It tasted good and was moist. The steak was kind of skimpy, but still tasted good and was moist. The salad was just romaine lettuce with cucumbers and tomatoes. It came with a little side of dressing. I asked for some hot sauce and received a little container of some sort of very mild sauce. Eh, nothing to write home about. I’ll probably not come back. The prices were very expensive for the portion sizes. As I write this I’m thinking of where else I can go to fill myself up a little more. I don’t want to spend almost $ 30 for lunch only to leave hungry.

Great tasting fresh food but pricey given that rice takes up most of the dish. 2 plates each with 2 kabobs, rice(lots of rice) and salad, one chicken the other ground beef came to $ 32. A little much in my opinion.

Food is always great but had a very weird and rude encounter tonight. The cashier rang me up for my call in order charging me an extra $ 3 and when we asked why it was extra they became very defensive and rude and then lowered it by $ 2 then finally to the appropriate price after another argument. Very shady… Bummer because food is great.

Spectacular food in a quiet setting in the middle of a mission Viejo strip mall. The salmon was grilled to perfection with a nice hard exterior which gave way to delicious soft fish inside. The hummus was very even well spiced and went perfectly with the pita bread.

My favorite Persian place! Believe me, I have tried the fancy restaurants, etc. This one and the Laguna Niguel location are my favorites. Too bad I’ve moved to LA, because I crave it all the time. I’m still waiting to find a place as good as Grill Hut in LA… California Kabob Kitchen is the closest I’ve found so far. What I’m saying is… Grill Hut, you need an LA location! Preferably in Downtown. You would do so well. :-) Anyway, The chicken is great, the salmon is great, the hummus is perfect, the salad dressing is amazing, portions are good, salad always fresh, I could go on and on. Service was always good for me too.

Very overpriced for a simple meal. Two skewers ran me $ 11. Customer service is way below average. Food is decent but not exceptional– for it to be worth my money. Came in literally at 4:01 and they didn’t want to validate the lunch special, which ended at 4:00. Literally 1 minute late… Like seriously how stingy do you have to be to do that. Just shows how much they’re trying to penny pinch and for those reason I will not be coming back here. Tip for the owner: customer service is key. Dont hire immature brats that don’t care/value their job. Reading other reviews clearly shows you need to address this issue.

I was looking for something somewhat good for me for dinner and came across this place. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by a young friendly female. I ordered the steak kebob entrée which came with rice and a salad or grilled tomatoes and pita bread, I chose the salad because I really don’t like tomatoes. The smell of the meat being grilled waffles through out the small restaurant but so does the smoke. The smoke didn’t bother me much but If I ate in I would probably sit outside. I can really appreciate the style of cooking and the awesome flavors that accompany the meats. The steak was so good I wish I had more by the end of my meal. I was just surprised lamb was not an option on the menu. The average price for a dinner entrée was about $ 9-$ 10 dollars which I found reasonable because you are not getting fast food but rather a cooked to order healthy meal. Next time I will probably order ahead of time because it is atleast 10 minutes for prepartion of your entrée.

I got a chicken kabob salad with pita bread to go. To be honest the chicken was a little dry, but the salad dressing was great. Love their tangy yet creamy dressing. I ate all the chicken and most of the salad. I had just a little bit of pita bread that had soaked up all the juices from the chicken, best pita bread I’ve ever had, not dry at all. I also tried a forkful of my brothers rice and it was so good. One of my favorite places for kabobs.

Grill Hut is my go to persian place for a light, healthy, quick, delicious meal. I recommend trying the chicken kabobs(they are moist and flavorful) & the grilled tomatoes. The hummus and salad are average.(I wish they had a salad comparable to Panini Café.) Be forwarned that the lunch special doesn’t come with enough chicken! The service is usually good. If you sit inside, be prepared to smell(like) smoke!

I dunno why but I really like the chicken and rice here. I always get the chicken kabob plate with rice and salad. I try to steer away and order something else but it never happens. The place is right next to Baja Fresh, which always seems buzzing, but if people gave this a try, it might sway them(even thought Baja is pretty dope too). Don’t think the customer service here is super, as the employees lack knowledge of what certain things are, but the darn rice and chicken brings me back every time. The chicken is always so tender and has a nice subtly smokey grilled taste to it. The salad cleanses and refreshes your palate and gives the food that crunch factor. I’ll typically try to make a taco with the pita bread, cut up my chicken small and throw the rice and lettuce in there. Yum!
