Huuuge! The chicken nachos are huuuge! Yummy all white chicken breast chunks, tons of thick melted cheese, sour cream and the best guac ever! More than enough for a meal, or great to share! Get mine to go!

Food was fine, but the service was poor. I asked for more plastic ware as we were splitting the dishes between several people. The server didn’t believe me that we needed more, followed me to the door and showed me he had already given us some in our to go bag. Not worth the drive.

My absolute favorite taco place. It’s a little pricy, $ 3 – 4 tacos, but soooo good. Everything is excellent quality, you don’t have to worry about bad pieces of chicken or beef here, and everything is so fresh. Ironically, I don’t really like their fish tacos, I think they’re kind of bland, but the chicken, carne asada, and shrimp are the best. Anytime I am craving tacos, which is often, I come here.

This was a great spot for a couple of lunches while in the area! Plenty of healthy options… I loved the grilled fish platter… both times! But I understand their salads are great as my stepmom had a shrimp salad, my dad had a couple blackened fish tacos, and my husband had a grilled fish taco and a chicken taco… all delicious! The most important feature of any Mexican restaurant is the guacamole… and their guacamole gets 8 thumbs up! The service is friendly and quick, the place is clean and they have a beautiful patio! What’s not to love about this place?

2 stars today, typically 3 – 4 stars. I feel like today was an «off» day for Baja. I always get the shrimp burrito and it’s usually really flavorful and savory. Today the whole thing was cold, they put wayyyyyy too much cheese(and I love me some cheese) and the burrito was mostly cabbage. It didn’t taste like they sautéed the shrimp like usual and the cheese overpowered the whole burrito. I have had good stuff here, but if this was my first time– I wouldn’t be back. I hope this isn’t the case on my next visit far from now because I can still taste the cheese.

I love their nachos with chicken and carne asada… Plus you can always share with your friends if you can eat them all.

I’ve gone to both the Laguna Niguel and Laguna Hills locations for years and have always kept them on top of my list of «go to» Mexican food restaurants. I’ve started to go to this location after moving out this way. This one has one advantage over the others as it has outdoor seating. I always get the carne asada Baja bowl and it never disappoints. It can easily be shared, especially if you order chips and guacamole. They make their own salsa daily and they’re all delicious. I prefer the roasted style, which is listed as medium spicy but I don’t really feel any heat. You get a big bowl when you order chips, but you can also use the smaller cups to get all the other salsas or other sides. The service is fast and friendly and I’ve had great experiences the few times I’ve been here. If they keep up the great work, I may bump them to 5 stars since they excel at all levels. Food, price and service.

I actually met the owner and creator of Baja fish! Anyways, Baja fish has the most delicious shrimp tacos EVER! I actually like them way better than the fish. The cabbage and sauce on top of the tacos are perfectly in tune with each other. The servers and workers that work there(I know sounds redundant) are always striving to provide the best experience at a sit down restaurant. They have a mellow atmosphere so the music is not too loud and the crowd is perfect. Parking is easy as its next to a sprouts and kabob place. They have many locations but this is one is my favorite. Second would be Costa Mesa and then Laguna hills. Enjoy!

Overall food is good. There are many people on a THU lunch time. It was around 12 dollars for a two tacos combo and a soda.

Same Baja Fish Tacos that I love but the layout of this one is kind of awkward for getting your beverages and accessing the salad bar. Also, when I got up to refill my drink the bussers came and took all of my food(I wasn’t done). When I came back to the table she was all done tossing everything and wiped down my table. Kudos for being quick on service but«hey! I was eating that!»

Love love love By far thee best Mexican restaurant I’ve experienced. I realize I’m a white girl, so this may not hold that much Klout however, the blackened salmon bowl was truly amazing. They did not skimp on the beans and cheese and the fish was perfect! I ate until it hurt. I took my family here to celebrate & visit so I wanted to treat them and the lady that took our order read my mind. I didn’t need to explain anything. I gave her my card and just said please use this card, we smile and exchanged inner thoughts of… I know your little bro is going to try to pay, but I got you. So my family continued ordering and she would not accept my little brothers card! It was great. I even walked away because I had so much confidence in her. I think it was a true connection. The $ 3 chips & salsa… a little high but worth it. Hot chips and the salsa was great. Everyone ate everything & then some. My veg daughter loved her meal, my mum loved her carne asada tacos & my little bro & sister in law all raved about their food as well. I wish we had one in Palm Springs. I’d go everyday for lunch! Six people came to $ 55. The surroundings were clean and not loud. One Grampa stood his granddaughter on top of the table in her shoes, but that was the weirdest thing I saw. Oh and a guest left his food unattended outside in the patio & three little birds got to grub… That was fun to watch too, so see they have entertainment & don’t even realize it. Thank you friendly Hispanic waitress for helping me treat my family. You deserved a bigger tip! I’ll get you next time fer shizzy!!!

I love Baja Fish tacos, they have some of the best quality fish around! Service is great, the store clean and well kept. The salads and bowls are tasty, my husband loves the shrimp and carne asada. Tacos are skimpy, the burritos, bowls and salads are a much better value. Well stocked, fresh and tasty salsa bar, great place to have a light and healthy lunch in the area.

I’ve been a long-time fan of BFT and frequent the location in Laguna Hills. When we discovered this one closer to our new home, we decided to give it a try. The place is bigger than our other location which meant a lot of seating. However, it also looks like the other Mexican place next door is much more popular, at least on Tuesday nights(Taco Tuesdays??). The people who work this location aren’t as dynamic as the ones who work the other two locations I’ve been to(LH and Norco). The lady who took our order just couldn’t understand what we were ordering — really, nothing complicated — but she repeated our order wrong and when we corrected her, her attitude was one of borderline annoyance, her facial expression implying that we had made this inconvenient change. On top of that, she gave us only our container for salsa but not the chips. We went to sit down thinking they did things differently here. When we saw subsequent parties stroll by with their chip basket and their salsa containers and our food arrived with no chips, I had to send hubby back to go get our chips. Maybe an off-night(or maybe she was just filling in for a regular food order taker).food was still good.

Wow so so so good ! I wish I had a location closer to me, but unfortunately I do not. I was visiting my brother and sister in law and they recommended this place. I went for the two taco plate(which was more than enough food) one Ensenada fish taco no baja sauce and one shrimp taco no baja sauce. The Ensenada taco was really good! Came on two small corn tortillas, but I was so full by the time I ate this one that I took it off the tortilla. The shrimp taco was amazing ! I will definitely get two of those next time. It’s an up charge but totally worth it. Comes on an amazing flour tortilla with cheese and ah so good! I got a side of rice and pinto beans. Both were delicious! The salsa bar was great — lots of options! The food came out fast and service was great. Loved this place! Can’t wait to come back and try something else(but definitely getting shrimp).

Baja Fish Tacos is our number one go-to restaurant when we work late or my wife doesn’t feel like cooking. The Ensenada style taco meal deal is the way to go. The real beer battered fish tacos with cabbage and dressing. The only drawback is that I wish it was open past 9pm for those late nights. Enjoy

I have a new favorite Mexican joint. After being really disappointed in Mexican restaurants in the area lately we came to Baja Fish Taco tonight. The lines were long and tables were all occupied, but the line went fast and a lot of customers took their order to go, so we ordered and found a spot really easy. I got the Carna Asada burrito. It was pretty big in size and the meat was so fresh. The tables were clean and there was plenty of staff bussing tables. It was a bit on the loud side and some of the table are close to one another but there is a lot of patio sitting. Your going to see a lot of check ins from me here.

Amazing fresh food at a decent price… I would highly… HIGHLY recommend the shrimp tacos. I usually get the shrimp taco plate with black beans and rice… and it is just to DIEFOR… The shrimp are fresh, plump and delicious… offset with delicous shredded cabbage and a ranch sauce, sprinkled with fresh queso fresca… Unbelievable… still have dreams about these… There are other amazing foods… like anything pork or chicken… burritos, tacos… but I’m a shrimp girl and only like big, plump and juicy shrimp. They have a full salsa bar with all the little extras, marinated veggies and such… many different homemade salsas. They once ran out after lunch and made me a special batch of marinated veggies… just for me. They are very accomodating and friendly and you cannot beat the atmosphere… friendly and festive. You can go there at anytime, but beware the lunch lines pack in quick… so try and make it an early lunch…11:30am-ish…is good… before they are swamped.

Baja Fish Tacos costs a little more than Wahoo’s Fish Tacos and at this juncture, I like Baja a bit more than Wahoo’s. There’s nothing wrong with Wahoos; I’ve just been there too many times. The carne asada taco at BFT is done just right and is quite delicious. Lettuce, cheese and chopped tomatoes accompany the soft taco. For a reasonable price, you can order a combo which includes a copious amount of fluffy rice and black or pinto beans. To me, the combo meal is just right for a good lunch. The atmosphere here is great: not too noisy and not too quiet. Spanish language music plays at a pleasant volume. The restaurant has been clean during my visits. Multiple televisions play games. Salsa bar is kept stocked and looks clean. Drinks include the usual fountain drinks(Sprite, etc), iced tea and beer are also carried here. I enjoy my lunches at Baja Fish Tacos.

Upon the recommendation of the SO’s family, I gave this place a try. I placed a phone order for the charbroiled fish taco and the shrimp taco, and he got the shrimp burrito. For almost $ 20, this meal was definitely not worth it. Both of my soft tacos were piled with lettuce/cabbage, then overloaded with jack cheese, with barely any fish/shrimp. I tried to savor the seafood by picking it out to eat on its own, but even then, the shrimp was too creamy, and the fish was dry and bland. I was disappointed. His shrimp burrito was evidently also a regret, though he says the carne asada burrito is much better. Regardless, I wouldn’t visit this place again. Meh.
