Average at best. I won’t be back. Nothing compared to the competition in the Mediterranean restaurant space, even the big chains.

: VENUE : Bravo Avo is situated between Tae Kwon Do & Pick up Stick. Fairly easy to find when you see that it is across from McDonalds. There’s plenty of parking. I’ve dined in for lunch & as well as ordered To-Go. Their online ordering system was very easy to navigate through & use — which definitely made pick up easy & quick. I fancy the high ceiling of the establishment which doesn’t make me feel crampy or claustrophobic. The wall décor color/paintings gives off a very cozy vibe. The indoor ambiance gives me a happy & casual dining feel :) : FOOD(LUNCHREVIEWONLY) : Food here has been consistently delightful! Always fresh & hot. The lunch entrees I have tried all have been yummilicious, filling, healthy &NOT greasy or fatty. While dining in for lunch note that it is not full service. So once you step afoot to Bravo Avo place your order with the cashier(generally it’s always been the friendly owner) at the counter. Then grab your beverage from their beverage/condiment section by the entrance. Choose your dining spot indoor(tables & booths) or outdoor & your food will be brought out to you in a pretty timely manner — depending on what time you go. Lunch is served in disposable tableware. Rice/Pita/Salad [5/5] — The rice that comes w/the lunch entrée isn’t your typical white rice. It has a unique fluffy light flavored texture. Perhaps it is from the meat’s juice?! I seriously get suckered in all the time devouring every last grain esp with the amazing tzakiki sauce: P Hence, a few times i had to refrain myself from having rice & substitute with extra salad. Carb control! — The pita is slightly crispy & delicious w/the tzakiki sauce! — The house vinaigrette dressing is unique — never had one quite like Bravo Avo’s! It has a hint of mustard-y taste but not overpowering at all. IMO it can get addicting Chicken a La Avo [5/5] — Phenomenal tasting chicken & veggies. Love the spice which gave it a real great kick Combo Bravo [5/5] — Slices of Gyros & Chicken A La Avo Lule Combo [5/5] — Comes w/1 Beef &1 Chicken Lule Kabob. Perfect size & portion. — Nicely grilled & well balance of flavors. : OVERALL : I’m pleased with this hole-in-wall spot. A total local hidden gem for DELICIOUS Mediterranean/Greek food! I’ll definitely be back to try out other menu items. Gotta support local small businesses!

Prior to tonight I would have rated this restaurant 4 stars as we have been there numerous times and before the food quality was pretty good. Came here tonight with the wife ordered the falafel hummus appetizer to start, they charged us $ 16 because we wanted a little extra hummus because the portion size was small. Instead of doing what we asked they brought out a large bowl filled with hummus and added on the extra $ 6 charge. For the main course we split the gyro plate and the trio kabobs with salad, potatoes and rice. The gyro meat was bland, I t wasn’t awful but it definitely wasn’t tasty. The worst part of the night was the steak kabobs. The meat tasted frozen and it was so poorly cooked it was like chewing on steak flavored bubble gum. When I told the waitress that a the steak was terrible she offered to give me a free small baklava, no lady I don’t want a sweet pastry I want my steak fresh and cooked correctly. It’s a shame, this place was pretty good. Going downhill for sure

This small restaurant is great! The pita comes out super hot and fresh. The hummus is the best I’ve ever had anywhere. All the plates are also really tasty. My favorite sides are potatoes and rice.

We walked in 25 min before closing and asked if we were too late… The owner was very gracious and said that he would cook anything up that we wanted. He as well as the staff, gave exceptional service, and the food was delicious! After the meal, our waitress brought out a tray with all their dessert items which was a nice touch… We never felt rushed and would definitely come back again… I highly recommend this family owned restaurant for some excellent Mediterranean cuisine and wonderful service! :-)

This place will satisfy your Mediterranean cravings. The quality is consistently delicious. For lunch crowd, come early. If you catch the lunch rush and food is made to order, so it might take 20 – 25 mins if you place a big order. I always get the Lule combo. It comes with a side salad and delicious fluffy white rice. You can order it spicy but my SE Asian palette barely sense any heat ! It’s $ 10.50, not the cheapest but worth every penny.

The food here is amazing! Hands down the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. Not only is the food great but the owners and staff are extremely friendly and provide great service too. Can’t wait to go back!

Confused. I am often in that state of mind, but when I first walked into this restaurant, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. With the walk up counter and menu board overhead, it looks like a casual restaurant, but there was also a person greeting us in the restaurant part where you can sit more formally in the restaurant and order from menu, if that is what you prefer. Either way, there are many great choices on the menu at this family owned neighborhood gem. Upon talking with owner, Avo, I decided to try the homemade Greek sausage. I have tried a lot of Mediterranean food in the past, but this was the first time I had had Greek sausage. It was delicious and flavorful and came with some nice sides. Also ordered was the King Combo which consisted of a chicken kabob and gyros. The chicken was moist and tender and the gyros were very tasty. There are some delicious desserts to be tried on the menu here. Whenever I eat Greek food, I am a sucker for baklava as I am a woman who loves butter. I love homemade baklava with the rich, flaky, buttery layers and Bravo Avo’s version did not disappoint. Online ordering is available on the Bravo Avo website. Fast and convenient, your order can be ready for pick up when utilizing this option. The Kabob Trio is another terrific I have tried by ordering online. This is a smörgåsbord of Mediterranean meats consisting of chicken and beef shish kabobs and gyros. A lot of food that is accompanied by rice, pita and a side salad. I love neighborhood, hole-in-the-wall places, and this is definitely another Foothill Ranch find. Chef and owner, Avo, and his wife run this restaurant with great pride. It is really nice to have a local option for some terrific Mediterranean cuisine.

I’m not sure how anyone can give this place less than 5 stars let alone say Avo isn’t the friendliest guy ever. One of my favorite restaurants. My wife and I have passed by for many months always planning to go there. One day last month, we finally tried eating here. We immediately regretted not going earlier. The food is amazing. I can’t remember what we had the first time but it immediately went into our rotation. Last week, the night before my wedding, my brother offered to take me to any restaurant I wanted. This place was my first choice. We started with a glass of the house wine and it was nice. The appetizer of beef stuffed grape leaves were delicious and my entre of the special lamb shank was amazing. I cannot rave about that dish enough. First I must say the portion was perfect sized. It seemed a bit small of a portion when it came out but the meat fell off the bone and the sauce was so rich and flavorful that I was ready to pick the bone clean. I actually did when nobody was looking. The sauce was this glaze that just brought out the flavors of the lamb. Avo outdid himself here. The veggies were roasted and perfect. Contrary to my original evaluation of the portion size, I left full and happy. Granted, I would eat every lamb shank in the restaurant and ask for more, but this was perfect just how it is. I have dietary restrictions and Avo and his lovely wife happily accommodated. Avo talked to us, he really has a pleasant sense of humor. Thanks for giving us happy culinary memories Avo! You are a master chef and an artist in the kitchen.

Stopped in here on a recommendation of my friend. Glad my friend’s smart because the food was delicious! Was immediately greeted by the Owner Avo. He asked us if we had any questions and if he could be of any assistance. He recommended a few dishes. We started off with the Saganaki which is imported Italian cheese. Man it was so hot… not spicy hot but the cheese came out on fire! My friend almost grab the fire extinguisher. What What? I ended up ordering the Combo Bravo that came with chicken, gyros, rice and salad. The gyros were tasty. Rice the best I’ve had in a long time. My friends ordered the Chicken A la Avo and some other dish that I can’t remember. All were excellent! Like we were in Greece! Also ordered a few beers that were private label from Avo Bravo. They hit the spot. For dessert, nothing other than the Baklava pronounced«kon-ichi-wa.» Just kidding but loved it. Parking here is plentiful. Love that it’s a mom and pop restaurant.

Opa! Exactly what I wanted to yell when I realized there’s a little gem of a Greek restaurant near work. I just wish I’d found it sooner(sooner than Daphne’s especially, blech!). The owner puts some serious love into what they do here at Bravo Avo, it definitely shows. That said, he looked at me blankly when I asked if they have a Unilocal check-in deal. And wasn’t amused when I riffed«free baklava»? Meh. Bravo Avo blows Daphne’s out of the water. Cannon, fire, BOOM. Not even a comparison. BA’s tzaziki, gyro meat, pita… all superior in every way. Can’t wait to try other things here. I’ll update!

Better than the food in Greece! Yes, I said it. My experience was amazing from start to finish. After being seated by the friendly hostess, Chef Avo(also the owner) came to greet us. He asked if we had any food allergies and told us, «I’ll be cooking for you today.» And boy did he cook! He also stopped by a couple times to make sure we were ok and enjoying the food. We were:-) The pita is worth mentioning. I’ve had pita a hundred times but this one was different. It was kind of crisp. Very good. I had to remove it so I didn’t fill up before my entrée came. Chicken A La Avo — Whoa. SO good! I’ve seriously never had anything like it. It was a combo of slow cooked chicken & veggies. Amazing. The menu says it’s their #1 seller and I know why. Gyro plate — Delicious. Cooked & seasoned perfectly. Ever since my trip to Greece last year, I’ve been searching for good Greek food. With Bravo Avo I finally found it. The only bummer is that the restaurant is a solid hour drive from where I live. If it were closer I’d probably dine there once a week. It was that good. Thank you Chef Avo!

My boyfriend and I went to see hunger games tonight. Bought tickets 1.5 hours away and wanted to have dinner first. I found this place nearby on Unilocal.Hadn’t had Greek in a long time and saw that Bravos looked pretty legit and authentic. This is a small mom and pop shop. It’s not fancy but the food and service are superb. Prices are really fair for what you get also /thumbs up We sat at a booth and then Avo himself came to explain the menu. My bf and I both got king combos, I subbed chicken for a beef skewer though. Then we order the cold 4 appetizer which consisted of 4 dips: fire feta, cucumber sauce, roasted eggplant, and hummus. It came with freshly warmed pita that’s slightly crispy too(simply amazing!). I typically don’t like the eggplant dip, but the one here has changed my mind. I was eating it with a fork straight from the bowl. My fav was the fire feta, slightly spicy and creamy. The hummus here is well made and flavorful as well. As for the entrees, the gyro meat is awesome, the lamb kabob is also, and I didn’t like the beef skewer but my bf did. Included dinner salad comes with a Dijon like dressing. The potatoes are garlicky and crispy, very delish. The service is great! Avo himself and his wife serve you and they are mind readers :) brought us more pita before we asked for them as well as refilled drinks with a quickness. I’ve been to Greece and I haven’t had food as authentic tasting till tonight. I love this place! I will come back very often.

It was me and hubby, once again being indecisive about where to eat that wasn’t too far away from home. i’d noticed Bravo Avo popping up on my Unilocal searches so we decided to give it ago. It was dinner time, the place was pretty empty. You can tell it’s a casual place by day and a sit-down place by night. There’s a cute girl dressed in shirt & tie waiting to greet and seat you. Bizarrely enough, she is not allowed to take your order or put in a request for any additional items.(She told every party this.) When we let her know we were ready, she had to go get who I assumed was the owner of the place to come take our order. We started with the spinach pie and the falafels. Both were pretty good… can’t go wrong when the falafels are fried to a crisp so that almost the whole thing is crispy. The accompanying hummus was good too.(Good work getting the girl to come by and try to push more pita on us for $ 2,99 when she«checked» how much we had left.) Hubby went with the 7-hour lamb roast and I went with the house combo special(beef skewer, chicken skewer and gyro). Hubby liked his dish which he said was only slightly gamey but very tender and deliciously seasoned. My combo came and I deflated a little when I saw the small skewers of beef and chicken. However, both were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The bland yogurt sauce they give you on the side only detracted from the meats. I wasn’t a huge fan of the gyro meat — it was dry and a little overseasoned. We did stick around for dessert — hubby got one of the desserts imported from Milan. MILAN… weird but super tasty. It had hazelnut chocolate in it and crispy bits all over. This item was glorious(and super sweet, proceed with caution). I went with the house-made baklava. I guess the only thing the girl was able to do is take dessert orders. She talked up the baklava and said that they were working on a fresh batch right then. I assumed that meant I would be served from that fresh batch but it didn’t seem so when the product was brought out. The baklava was probably just average. All in all, this was an ok meal. I’d venture to guess we may be back to try some of their other dishes at some point down the road.

I love Bravo Avo! This is a great place for lunch. I’m usually not a fan of Greek & Mediterranean food, but the owner is so so friendly and the food is so so tasty. Chicken A La Avo($ 9.99) and Gyro Plate($ 9.99) are both my favorites. If I feel like having both, there’s also an option to get the Combo Bravo($ 10.99). It comes with rice, super flavorful meat, salad, and pita bread. The food is always fresh and hot. The only thing is that this place a little bit on the pricier side for lunch. Check in on Unilocal to get free baklava and also start a stamp card here!
